Newly discovered Force Users, do you feel pressured to make a religious commitment that could shape your future in order to grow your talents? Journeyman, are you looking to grow your portfolio of Force Talent in a way your mentor won’t, or can’t provide? Masters, are you finding yourself stuck in a work environment you don’t enjoy because you know the other options are worse?

Well, the Wyyrlock-Solusar College of the Force may be for you. At Wyyrlock-Solusar the pursuit of the Force is considered an academic one, students learning the physics behind telekinesis, the psychology behind suggestion, the chemistry behind alchemy, and the philosophy behind the Jedi and SIth orders in order to make an informed choice on your future upon graduation. Jedi, Sith, Witch, Jensaarai, Jal Shey, Shaper, all are invited to Wyyrlok-Solusar to grow their talents in deliberately intellectual way, as opposed to a magical or spiritual one. Your teachers at Wyyrlok-Solusar will be referred to as “Professor” or “Doctor”, never asking you to call them “Master”, “Darth” or “Lord”.

Bachelor’s students are given a thorough education on the base concepts and functionality of the Force, along with taking “Specialization” Electives in their junior and senior year to pursue areas of the Force they’re interested in. Graduates could be compared to a well-trained and flexible Jedi Knight or Sith Marauder, able to handle a wide breadth of different situations, act independently, and have a few uncommon tricks up their sleeves to surprise foes and impress superiors.

Master’s Students are given experience in teaching, research, and a specialized curriculum to strengthen skills or talents the student is interested in. Master’s Graduates are comparable to a new Jedi Master or Sith Lord, able to handle all a Bachelor’s student can, teach students about their passions, outperform the majority of Force Users in their field, and conduct scientific research as to the cause and effects of Force use.

Doctoral Students are given a thorough education in their field, and spend a few years putting together a Dissertation on the Force on a chosen subject, while also handling varying teaching responsibilities in the College. PhD. Graduates are Subject Matter Experts in their field, possessing commanding knowledge and expertise on their topics, and can give an apprentice a comprehensive and thorough education on the Force, bladework, and their chosen philosophy.

If any of those paths interest you, call Wyyrlok-Solusar today and schedule a blood test, to begin processing for the new semester. We’ll see you in the Fall!

Out Of Character:

Why?

Wyyrlok-Solusar is an opportunity for people to roleplay a more scholarly approach to the Force, and give an environment where characters can learn the philosophy of the Jedi, Sith, and potentially other Force Organizations, without being “The Jedi that Turned” or “That Traitor Sith” and potentially getting a bounty on your head. It also provides an environment to put in characters of differing alignments and give them common goals and opportunities for non-lethal competition.

Can I join even though my character is Jedi/Sith/Witch/Ren/Etc?

Of course! Come on down.

How do you plan on keeping students from killing each other?

Come out and say it why don’t you? Well, there are a few ways in any case. Students have to sign a code of conduct that includes a contract saying they may be killed by faculty if they harm another student. They’re also forbidden from using real lightsabers on campus until Junior Year, and even then not unless in the presence of a Faculty Member. They’re also restricted off-campus if they’re attending a university function; whether it be a ball, research trip, club trip, etc.

What if I’m too young/too old to be a student?

Different species have different cultures. People decide to change careers. People discover they have access to the Force at all walks of life, not just the early years. As long as you are Force Sensitive(pass a blood test) you are welcome to come to Wyyrlok-Solusar.

So is the College free, do you have scholarships, will I get in debt?

Honestly, I can see people wanting to roleplay all sorts of different things. Maybe you’re paying it in bulk. Maybe you have to work a job on campus to help pay tuition. Maybe you’re getting in debt. Maybe you’re getting in debt and working a job. Whatever story you want to tell, Wyyrlok-Solusar is going to leave it open for you.

Do I have to roleplay taking a physics class before I take Basic Telekinesis?

No. You can roleplay as many or as little classes as you like, but there is a basic curriculum you’re character will go through for a Bachelors. Handwave it, mention “Man I worked hard for that B in physics” in your TK thread, or whatever.

Where are electives on Vaapad, Sith Magic, [insertelectivehere], etc.
Well, the elective list I have is not intended to be comprehensive, and furthermore some abilities in the Force are simply not deemed appropriate by the University for Bachelor’s students. For example, I’d consider Vaapad a Master’s or Doctoral level class. In general, if you think a regular knight had a decent chance of learning this or that, there’s probably an elective for it. If you think it takes a really special knight or a specialized teacher to learn, it’s probably a post-graduate class.

Do you have a post-graduate curriculum like your bachelors curriculum?

No, because the post-graduate is supposed to be a lot more specialized. Instead of one general knight curriculum with room to flesh out specialties every Master’s degree is specialized, and while making the bachelor’s curriculum was a fun exercise, doing the same for every post-grad degree would be a ton of unnecessary work. If you want to get a Master’s in Sith Alchemy do it, and be comfortable knowing that nobody will let at you for making up what classes you’re taking. If you want a Doctorate Degree in Lightsaber Skill do it, make up your classes as you go along, and know I’m not gonna yell at you for it.

Are you hiring professors?

Yes! Wyyrlok-Solusar is always looking for Subject Matter Experts to teach new classes. Saber Specialists are also always in demand due to the sheer number of saber classes taught. We’d love to here, especially if you can teach an out of the ordinary Force Manipulation or the philosophy of a less common Force Organization. As long as you are comfortable teaching students and interacting with co-workers who may disagree with you and have the necessary skillls you are welcome to come on board. Do note however, that being a Professor does not give you any OOC leverage over someone who is roleplaying a student.

Do you I mind if I say my character got a bachelors degree as part of her backstory?

Not at all, but I’d still like to write with all of you. Don’t be shy, we’ll arrange an alumni party or something.

I. Love. This. I've always wanted a classic school setting :D

Would there be a need for security? I can help out with that for sure. If not that's cool. Will totally hop on this with another character.

Faction affiliation is fine for our part-timers as long as they can keep from messing with our students.

Interested in teaching?

[member="Darth Carnifex"]

Thank you. Maybe we can send you some interns.

Some of our students work security part-time, but we also have a number of full-time positions available as well.

However you want to write it man, I'm game.
