The Woman In The Ice Field (Mandalorian Empire & Republic Remnant)

The Woman in the Ice Field
Mandalorian Empire & Republic Remnant Skirmish for Arkania

“Always be prepared for a battle, for one will always come.
Safety is a myth. Like power.
You can have it for a while, or court it like a woman chased in a field,
but we will never catch her.”

He coughed, his massive palm on his knee and pushed himself from the Throne. In the dim light of the Sundari Palace Throne Room, Little Rekr watched him lumber off. He was protector and pusher, the man to spur her on to action, and the one to hold her back from animalistic carnage. Leave it to a Gurlanin to find a balance between Epicanthix and Beast.

Objective 2: Chase the Naphtali Erisi Fleet to Arkania
Allies: Mandalorian Empire
Enemies: Naphtali Erisi

The crew of the Hell Wolf awaited Mand’alor the Infernal’s orders. She wandered in thought, memories of the dead pressing on her shoulders. Nothing mattered but protecting her people... something harder done with Jetise, Aruetise and Dar’jetise on every side. Many called for downright war and eradication of the Republic threat, others for the laurel-wreathed hand of friendship.

The majority wanted the Infernal to leave all outside influences behind, and isolate Mandalore’s Empire into a Protectorate which cared only for its’ own needs and denied the outside issues of state. All this bundled aside for the momentary thrall of battle. The Hell Wolf rocked as another volley hit its' shields. The last of the thunderous attacks of the escaping Naphtali Erisi fleet.

“Chase them down. No mercy, no quarter. Disable their engines and weapons systems. Call [member="Aedan Miles"] and [member="Kaine Australis"]. Have them meet us in Arkanian space. Have the Infernal launch a third of their squadron count upon arrival. Fill the skies. The Naphtali Elisi will not escape us all.”

Mand’alor the Infernal stood on the Command Deck and watched the Hell Wolf’s sister ship, the Infernal puncture through Hyperspace. Dozens of Mandalorian cruisers, corvettes, gun ships and carriers began to flicker out of existence, long strands of light bristling like bolts shot from bow casters.

“What of the Republic? We gave them a heart attack and none too many happy feelings the last time we popped by with an Armada.” Commander Kaho’s buy’ce moved little as he spoke, cradled in his command position and surrounded by the holographic projections of the oncoming enemy fleet.

“I’ll take the comm to Charr in my ward room.” Yasha swerved and strode off the Command deck, expecting the holocomm to be activated the second she reached the privacy of her office.

“The co-oh. Oya.” The Commander muttered, swerving back around to focus on his console, and the pilots’ coordinations into hyperspace.

“[member="Solan Charr"], a radical Sith cult named the Naphtali Erisi are making on Arkania. We have been on their tail since Obroa-Skai, and come to offer our assistance, lest you be overrun. I am transmitting our intel on Naphtali Erisi to you now.”

Above the skies of Arkania, a massive fleet of stolen Silver Jedi, Sith Empire, Echani & Mandalorian ships shunted out of hyperspace and immediately started firing on every freighter, sloop and ship within the vicinity of Arkania.

Objective 3: Investigate the Academy. Discover who Serkan & the Naphtali Erisi are.

There was no noise echoing from the playground at recess. The stillness of the Academy resounded hollow and depressive upon the many academics and library staff walking by.

Where were the kids? In the principal’s office, the sunshade rustled.

Stained. Red.

Nothing remained but a crimson mandala on the gymnasium floor, painted with graceful hands.

Throughout the school was a void marked by little piles of ash. A passage in the library check out system blinked, where ‘Naphtali Erisi’ checked out twenty three books that morning. Laid out with exacting standards, flimsy sheets of the missing book covers made a concurrent mandala to the one in the gym.

‘Wimpy the Ewok Finds His Courage’
‘Arkanians Exeunt: Migratory Pattern of Historical Arkanians’
‘Gardens of the Universe, Naboo through Gree’
‘Econgavong the Yuuzhan Yokel’
‘Arkania Land of Ice’
‘Wimpy the Ewok And His Daddy’s Hat’
‘A World Ocean Of Naboo’
‘Rad Botanicals for Kidz! You too can paint your thumb green!’
‘Bastion: An Architect’s Tale’
‘Ewok Wimpy Learns How To Hunt’
‘First Level Mando’a’
‘Ordinary Mando’a Level 2’
‘Rimsy the Panathan Poodleminkey’
‘Expert Level Mando’a’
‘Palpatine was Crazycakes: A Child’s Guide to The First Galactic Empire’
‘Efforts of the Bold’
‘A History of the Third Republic’
‘Commenor Cueen: HRH Kay Arenais Rise to Pacifist Power’
‘Echani Sun Sculpture: A Lost Art’
‘Lorrdian Beginner’s Guide to Mandalorians’
‘Ithorian Baking: You Too Can Eat Slime!’
‘Emily Asks Mommy Where Did Daddy Go? Talking to Your Child About War’
‘Zambranos: A Visual Guide’

All the doors in the Academy were forced open, stains of red across the keypads and surfaces.
Except for one door in the back of the library, hidden behind the stacks.

A single repeated audio message pushed through all official channels concurrent to a series of explosions pock-marking the new Republic Remnant holdings across the planet.

‘Serkan welcomes the weeping Republic.
Your children’s blood was a fantastic gift.
Your assets belong to the Naphtali Erisi, as your blood belongs to the Naphtali Erisi.
As your guns belong to the Naphtali Erisi.’
Goa nodded, message received and continued.

I do love a good cleansing, fantastic for one’s health. The people of this new Republic are already fat and lazy. They’ll be easy enough to trod under foot. Easy enough.

“Blow it up. Serkan wants them all. All the tasty marrow inside. See how long it takes for their Jedi to come bumbling out screaming 'oh, the children! Think of the children!' Dumbums.”

Another series of planted explosives threw the outpost’s outer border into Chaos. About. Karking. Time.

As the cult set about doing their sinister duties, a swordsman stood somewhat apart of them as if standing guard. He would not dirty his hands in the same manner that they would, still possessing some set flexed set of morals. With dull eyes he watched as they performed their duties, his face contorting in disgust. But he kept his silence.

Vice prepared his blade, taking a whetstone to it as he patiently waited.

"Giddean, a massive armada just arrived in orbit and fired on a multitude of ships," The voice over the Coms seemed a little panicked, "I thought the Order did not know you were here?"

The young padawan cursed under his breath then pressed the button on his Wrist Com, "They don't, Master [member="Cedric Grayson"] thinks I am visiting my family, we are investigating these murders and then give the information to my master."

The voice answered more annoyed, "I get that we were friend at the Academy, but I work for the Arkania Defense Force now, I only helped cuz of your help back then, but this is getting a whole new level of hot."

Giddean sighed, "If we solve this mystery then the Republic may give you a promotion when they hear you brought this level of intel to central command." His old friend did not respond, seemed he got a little busy with the invasion party. It was not his problem at the moment so he did not need to really bother with it.

Giddean received word from his contacts that their were a string of murders on this planet that was weird. The Victims were bleed dry and left to be found as if they were being displayed. This sounded like some kind of cult, and thus most likely a Dark Side Ally or at the least one in the making. His next lead put him on the path of searching this School as it seems several suspected members of this Cult entered here and the place went quite. The authorities were given many task to not give notice, and the result was his friend in the Defense Force had not realized it. The Padawan seemed pretty close on the trail of these Cultist.

Having thoroughly investigated the spacer legends of dragons living in Arkania's frozen wastes, Mereel thought that their trip to the planet had come to its natural conclusion. As him and his hunting partner, Seo Linn, walked through the spaceport to return to his ship, Mereel overheard something from a telescreen that stopped him in his tracks.

An entire academy's worth of people had been killed, and none of the HoloNews stations knew exactly what the kriff had happened. Although that certainly hadn't stopped some of the civilians huddled around viewscreens from whispering speculations that meant nothing to him as a traveller.

One particularly zealous Zabrak began yelling his own thoughts on the matter, swinging his arms around violently as he yelled, "FELLOW ARKANIANS, CAST DOWN THE SHUDDERS THAT RENDER YOU BLIND AND OPEN YOUR EYES! OPEN YOUR EYES TO THE REALITY THAT YOU HAVE CREATED!"

Several civilians who had been audibly crying near viewscreens had now turned to stare at the old Zabrak with disdain. The shouting man remained undettered,"YOU MOCKED AND SCORNED THOSE WHO FOREWARNED THE EXISTENCE OF SERKAN, AND NOW YOUR APATHETIC INACTION HAS BEEN REPAID IN BLOOD!"

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw multiple spaceport security officers rushing through the crowd toward the Zabrak. A small smile crept onto his face.

"LISTEN, LISTEN AND RECIEVE PEACE. FOR THE HOUR OF RECKONING IS NIGH UPON US -.
The Zabrak was temporarily interrupted as one of the security guards tackled him to the ground, and another slapped binders over his wrists.

Spaceport security began dragging the Zabrak away,"AND SERKAN WILL SOON REUNITE LIVING WITH THE LOST -"

One of the security guards opened a door off to the side of where they were standing, and the other two shoved the Zabrak through the door hard before slamming it shut behind them.

With Seo's history as an investigator, Mereel assumed that she'd want to dive into whatever had just happened headlong. He tilted his slightly-blackened helmet to look at Seo, "So.. Mrs. Anderson, think that's something we should look into?"

Arkania

Arkania was a cold world, far colder than she was used to on Ambria. It was a world of ice and blistering temperatures, especially here, outside the city. She had gone out to practice meditation and to try and get to know the Force that spun around the world. So there she sat, wrapped in robes and cloak, with her eyes closed, focusing on her breath. In and out she breathed and putting her entire mind into the sensation.

Then the Force quivered. Her eyes shot open in surprise as the sensation slammed into her. Her body, shivered, and her eyes looked upwards. Small ships and lasers darted through the atmosphere above her and she rose unsteadily to her feet. What was happening?

She turned towards the city and started to run across the tundra as the pounding of her feet thumped. The city grew nearer as she approached and she desperately tried to get a better sense of what was going to be happening.

Objective: Meet up than steal.

Aedan looked up as one of his security team came jogging in taking a moment he recalled the name of the younger man was Jarg Akaata a member of Clan Akaata and the youngest to volunteer for his guard. Nodding to him he took the datapad looking at the orders even as his comlink beeped tapping it with a finger as he heard Australis's orders coming through. He thought for a moment before nodding and pulling up the map of that sector on his datapad finally giving Kaine a location to have the ship meet him. "Australis have the Magneter meet me in the Snili system I will bring the rest of my armada and meet it there. From there we will two point jump in attempting to catch this scum between us. I will provide the anvil while you serve as the hammer." Aedan turned and swept towards the spaceport he was on the planet Ankus gathering more recruits for Clan Akaata his clan was renowned on the planet having multiple times patrolled and wiped out those who were hunting the Cragmaloids for their tusks. As his shuttle took off from the planet his eyes were drawn to the small fort that his people maintained on the planet it was where they trained those Cragmaloids who wished to join them almost all of those said cragmaloids were stationed on this planet in the defense force left behind. Yet if the call ever went out Aedan knew they would be the first to march. Smirking he turned his attention to space as the shuttle left the atmosphere looking at the armada that was stationed her full time thinking about what ships he could draw from it to assist with this task. He knew he would be leaving the Apocalypse behind to hold the planet as well. Finally he nodded boarding one of the Shield-Class Cruisers Aegis he looked through the ships here before contacting a series of frigates and cruisers as well as one other destroyer to round out his force. Finishing that his forced jumped into hyperspace heading to the planet Snili to meet up with the Magnater.

Objective: 2, Kick some Fleeter ass

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What the Blood Cult would find is an equally strange fleet sitting in wait for them, a hodgepodge of ships from the Sith, the Shadow Empire, the Republic, the Vitae, and the CIS. And at the helm a simple, eight hundred meter cruiser that pointed its main guns forward with a dark smile crawling up the face of the man who stood on it's bridge. His eyes shone in the light with a gold tint, burning behind them and providing their own light as he gripped at a cane he needed to keep himself steady. Solan's eyes rimmed by a pair of glasses that only glared from the look he cast through them.

He had been waiting, but even then he was not prepared for the surprise that came with the size of the fleet thrown to his own forces, the forward ships taking a beating almost instantly. Colors of blue, green and red filled the sky, the different multitude of weapons coloring the black expanse and his own ship rocking as a missile slammed into their flank. Solan's eyes tracked the fighter that flew past his command deck and he focused on its engine, reaching out and touching on the technology. A few seconds was all it took, a few seconds he could not hesitate on and soon the fighter's engine seemed to sputter for a second before catching fire and exploding, the heat overcoming its limits as Solan's body dropped more weight onto the cane.

He was going to need to stay conscious, but that fighter had pissed him off...

-Several minutes prior-

Solan sighed, overseeing the defense of the northern sector while his counterpart had been placed in charge of the Capital's defense. There also came with it the Rebel ships that covered the southern expanse and were the driving force for that southward expansion that had been in recent times. Balmorra had been the newest addition to the republic, or it would be soon once negotiations were finished in regards to their membership, and he had already heard whispers from Rendili, an old supplier of his. Things were progressing more smoothly than he had been expecting, surprised at how many planets were quick to welcome their presence, especially after the recent debacle.

He looked to his side and was surprised to find a communication waiting for him, his hand reaching out and touching the acceptance of such. It was quick, Yasha's message for him and Solan watched her speak, registering the words until finally nodding, only casting a look at Nida Vaal and she quickly understood such. She would handle the distribution of the intel to both Naval and Land Commands, he in the meantime stood and grabbed a Cane he had started to use. His feet carried him to the front of the viewport and he waved on a display, looking at it with intent and quickly issueing orders through the display, speaking with no words through the entire process. It was like a game for him, one he was not certain he was prepared to play.

It was then, as a Dreadnought Mk2 got into place the first ship appeared, a lone ship that sat there and it moved its guns on the Dreadnought. Solan waited, watching, curious and confused. Yasha had spoken of more ships, more to see. But nothing had come as seconds passed. Then, a sound, the notification of a gravity well and Solan knew what that meant, his eyes casting to the screen and seeing what was happening. They had done to him, what he did to others, bright blue and green lances flashing and tearing apart the dreadnought cruiser, a waterfall of color dropping from above and rising from below as ships dropped from hyperspace and blasted the lead ship to bits. Their ships coming around his fleet, with precision that only an assisted gravity well jump could provide. He watched as his fleets were surrounded and quickly gave the order to react.

It was then that the world became choas in the skys above, his carriers launching their fighters, a mass driver ripping through a Hapan Battle Dragon that he owned, two of his Hellfire Cruisers, the Siren's Scream and Broken Wall, unleashing their entire payload against a star destroyer, fires and explosions from the warheads peppering the destroyer's flank as the loss of life slammed into Solan. He felt death after death, piling on one by one and his legs felt weak. The darkness calling on him and gripping at his throat as his mind struggled to keep him focused on what was happening.

He was smiling though, the smile growing wider as his eyes shifted from their blue color.

And so he smiled, watching and feeling that around them. A few more scenes playing out infront of him, until the blast from an engine, and death of a fighter shot him back into focus, his body shaking from the use of the force.

"Kill them all... there is to be no mercy for these fools." He declared, the Keshiri on his crew knowing the order was absolute. After all, he was their former king, and would serve him until death, just as he had served them until his own death, and now had returned to gain the payment owed. The now Republic Admiral's fleet was after all, not a Republic crewed one. But rather one that would not falter or step down, it was one that filled with Keshiri commanders and officers, ones with Shadow Legion shock troopers.

He smiled and reached out, connecting his mind to the minds of those in his fleet, gripping the cane harder as Nida came and supported him, the woman who had been his body guard looking with concern as his body shook under its own weight.

"You have my order." He told her, recieving only a nod and his free hand reaching out, searching for weaknesses in the commander of this Cult's fleet.

Luck had been on their side for this trip or at least on Mereel's. Neither one of them had been injured or hurt in the process of this hunt. As they were about to leave what Seo was thinking of as a frozen rock ice, a ruckus at the spaceport stopped them.

The commotion was caused by a zabrak and he was spouting things about the end of days. Being mixed in among strangers, Seo gave very little of a physical reaction to him. However, mentally she was rolling her eyes and was pleased when security came and carted him away.

However, more than that man, Mereel's attention was on the viewscreen with the news. Instead of attempting to rubberneck and watch the poor deluded fool get taken away, Seo started paying attention to the news at hand. It did not take more than a few words to interest her. When Mereel drew her attention away from it and asked if she felt it was something she wanted to look into, she felt giddy for a moment.

"Mister Anderson, of course I do. Let's go."

Taking a hold of his hand, Seo turned around back the way they had come from and stopped just outside the spaceport.

"Any ideas where this place is?"

"Oya'cye!" The word could be felt palpably ringing throughout the dropship as it descended into the atmosphere of Arkania.

"Kyr'am!" The Vod around him did last minute checks on their weapons and armor.

"Mare'cye!" Even Vyr could feel his blood rising to the chant as the atmosphere rocked them, then the pilot banked them to come about to their landing zone.

"Darasuum!" Vyr, checking his weapons and armor like those around him, still feeling slightly separated from the Vod. He was born to a pair of Dar'manda, and was sister to one who had died fighting on the wrong side of the civil war. He knew no one around him held either against him, he was to be judged for his own actions, but it still left a gulf in his mind. A separation he didn't know how to bridge.

"Oya! Oya!" A massive Vod with a warhammer in one hand punched the hull of the armored dropship, sending an audible and tangible tone through the interior.

The pilot banked again, then dropped the nose. Mandalorians were always ready for combat, and even a landing outside of a hot zone was treated as landing in possibly hostile territory. Inside, the chanted repeated.

"Oya'cye! Kyr'am! Mare'cye! Darasuum!"

The drop ship shuddered as the landing skids touched the ground.

"Oya! Oya!"

The walls of the drop ship fell away into ramps, and the teams of Vod within ran out in good order. The team Vyr was assigned to turned left as the exited the starboard side of the drop ship, then boosted in unison to their assigned portion of the perimeter, weapons out. Their weapons and armor were not uniform, but their movements were synced. They all came down in good order, ready for action, though none was there as of yet. They were a few hundred meters from the Tula Aspire Academy, where a massacre had occurred.

"Looks like the information was correct," Giddean was starting to feel the lonelyness sitting in, as his contact did not respond to him and he was still very much alone, "This school is emptier then the courtyard during Master [member="Alyson Halle"] Battle Training."

The young man was laying on the roof of a building that was just across the street of the Academy. His face buried in a pair of Rangefinders, wearing the new blacked out armor he put on after entering the building, and a Sniper Rifle laying next to him. He was not here on official Jedi business and as such could not be found with his lightsaber ignited. He carried a Silents Variant CQB Weapon, just in case he had to rush the Academy and keep a weapon for close quarters.

Looking through the rangefinder, he was able to look at the school and the obvious lack of students. It was a rather weird observation, however there was not enough evidence here to bring it to the attention of his master. The courtyard was empty, the windows were bare of life. Event the boards and holo-boards were still active to make it look like people were still around. If one was to pass by they wound not notice, but closer inspection showed the living students were missing.

It was at this time that Giddean saw a glimpse of something. In the corner of his magnified vision he was able to catch what looked like a cloaked figure wondering the halls, dragging something. Attempting to follow the assumed path, he was not able to find that being again. With them missing, he still was very sure that someone was still alive in this school.

He pulled up his Sniper Rifle and looked through the scope. It had a thermal setting and so it would be easier for him to spot a glimpse and so he focused his mind on the force. His master was not as useless as he thought, he trained Giddean in Force Sight and here he used his new skill to look for something to bring back.

The young Padawan was surprised by what he saw.

In a time immemorial, undertakings such as these had been beneath him. He, a master of the Empire, a Lord of Sith, and scourge of light, had payed all the dues and risen above such menial task. It was beneath him now but circumstances required he subject himself to the will of another for this brief instance of time. Hydrocus was placated in the fact a chance to spill Jedi blood was soon at hand.

Stood in the Arkanian snow, imperturbable, his blue gaze had been fixed to the sky. Watching, waiting, his black aura permeated all that it could pervade and warned all that could sense him death was waiting.

The Republic soldiers so far died screaming, well hydrated in the cooler environment of Arkania. Arkanians rushed in holding patterns of panic, as more explosions took the Republic Outpost attached to the City itself.

[member="Alana Sunrider"] wouldn’t get far without feeling it, the undeniable twinge of the Dark Side grabbing at her back with its’ many gaping teeth. Vice will be a match for her, I'm sure of it.

“[member="Vice"]. Go after the blonde. Leave nothing but her bones.” Nodding to the rushing woman who vibrates of meagre Light, I watch from my perch above a ‘borrowed’ tank as another volley takes the Kanti Ridge Outpost’s South and East embankments.

Wonder if anybody got our artfully designed present at the school, yet? My instincts tell me they have by now, but my instincts also tell me mustard is great in vanilla frosting on a chocolate cake.

Adds zip.
Speaking of zip…

“Master Hy-hah. Lookout me go, sometimes I forget we’re not the same as we were back on Munto Cudro, eh Hydrocus?” Snapping my neck from one side to the other, I stretch and hop off the tank, slapping it with my hand to send it careening toward the Outpost wall.

“I’m getting a chime on the Academy. Seems the board game we left is working. Won’t be long until they figure out their city’s are burning… you feel that?” Raising my hand, I let it tremble in the frigid air.

Hydrocus. Imagine finding another link from my past in this time? We’re becoming quite the club.

“Their little minds are catching up. Won’t be long before the mandalas lead them here… care to dance?” So I’ve gone chatty in my old age. At least I’m not speaking in a stutter. Winking at the wounded image of a Master I knew centuries before, I unsheathe my Anandi, my Sith Alchemical sword, and pounce at the soldiers near the gate.

The investigators are behind us, worrying over the disappearance of babes, while we begin the work of cleansing this Outpost for the Naphtali Erisi and Serkan.

Giddean, Seo, Vyr and Mereel were right to investigate the Tula Aspire Academy. The grounds were oddly accessible to those who looked for a way in. Where there should have been a host of investigators upon the site, nothing but a single investigator’s speeder rested on the front. Inside, little piles of grey dust lined desk chairs, the gymnasium, trails of dust made intricate patterns, which moved in the wind of coming and going investigators.

Each pattern was reminiscent of Ziostan, Munto Cudroite and Thyrsian symbology and art. Each one leading back to harrowing thoughts.

Blood droplets morphing into faces.
Through their Blood you shall know them.
The Cardiovascular systems of several sentient species.
Through their heart shall you win.
Lines of Dathomiri rune stones honouring the deceased.
Stagnation is for corpses.

“Jules, hey Jules, what do you make of these books?” Hal Hicklesbottom gritted his teeth. At least here in the library the smell wasn’t as putrid, or the ashes so disturbing.

“Wimpy the Ewok… Mando’a, Palpatine? Heck, man. I read Wimpy the Ewok to my kids. There’s a whole bunch of them. Think I bought them in Keldabe, you know, on that trip to Mandalore. Some woman said her daughter couldn’t get enough. Rita Manta-something.” Jules Fielding got down on his haunches to look at the flimsy covers on the ground, inspecting without touching a thing.

“Where are those special investigators at, Hal?” Jules asked. Hal groaned and walked out of the library, to make some calls. It took little more than twenty seconds before Hal came running back in, as the sound of a scuffle, and a large rushing vibration shook the library.

“Jules! Mandos! Honest to Force Mandalorians’ve landed! Feth, their leader wasn’t kidding!”

“Mandos!? Where’s Phyllis!? Why’re we alone with this!?” Jules gawked as Hal shrugged and the two partners ran out to meet the forces who made on the school’s perimeter. Jules walked out at a saunter, catching his breath from his sprint toward the Academy doors. Hal coughed, red faced and eyes wide. Both men flashed their credentials naming them Republic Investigative Agents to [member="Vyr Beviin"].

“Never thought I’d admit this, but it’s good to see some rampaging Mandos right now. Any of you have expertise in symbology, or heck, could shed some light? We have no idea what’s going on, or what happened to those kids.”

A shuttle landed on the Academy’s boloball field. While Beviin’s forces worked to secure the Academy, a hulking feminine form bent her wolf-helm clad head down to fit through the shuttle’s hatch. A team of six matte black beskar’gam clad warriors launched out of the shuttle on either side of the figure, whose wolf-helm seemed to have an independent mind to the person beneath it.

“Charr, I have touched down on Arkania and am within sight lines of the Academy. Thank you for this liberty, it is my hope that this is but a misinterpretation of events, and not as interconnected as they seem. I await your people to partner on the surface.” Mand’alor the Infernal walked straight up to Jules and Hal, and nodded.

“I have skill you may put to use. These are the symbols painted on Obroa-Skai. Perhaps you could show me yours? There may be a correlation. Ambrose. See what you can track.” Yasha handed a holo-projector to the confounded investigators, taking stock on who appeared so far.

A man dressed in surprisingly light cloth stepped off the shuttle, nodding his head with a growling salute. [member="Ambrose Mantis"] transformed from humanoid male to gigantic black furred wolf before their eyes, padding the snow and sniffing around. Ears pricking forward, Ambrose began to run to the other side of the Academy compound.

“Where are your investigators?”

Nodding, the cloaked figure shifted his blade to his shoulder and began to sprint towards his target. He did not know his quandary, nor did he care to know them. Vice's task was simple, and he would perform said task as instructed. At twenty yards out he slowed to a walk, taking the moment to examine Alana, trying to lift any piece of useful knowledge he could from her appearance alone.

"I suggest your return from whence you came," the figure spoke in a coarse, but meek, voice. "For you shall not find any mercy here." The man gave a simple, yet somewhat clumsy, flourish of his blade.

Above all the explosions and screams of dying soldiers circled a troop carrier wreathed in a cloaking field, like hawk waiting for prey. Inside the carrier sat five CSDF soldiers, but these ones had unique training and equipment, their prey was a high power force user. In the center was a holo table showing a real time scan of the outpost, in the center was the one the hunter.
"Dis one is the one we seek..." Spoke the smallest of the group, a lith human with unique armor designed for flight based combat.
"Shes not using a lightsaber... is she a sith or just a force adept..." Spoke the largest of the group, a man wearing a massive armor. "I mean its not like it matter just asking."
"Dis is unknown Hagrias... expect high level force powers..." The woman spoke again, she turned to another woman. "Numbers and you can engage her in melee if forced... i will try to keep her from using force powers..." The woman named numbers simply nodded, she never spoke unless it was counting kills.
"Madam Vashkri... may i suggest we attack her with multiple styles of combat?" An artificial voice chimed in.
"Yes i would like Blake and you to take shots at her when you can." Vashkri spoke again, she tapped a computer on her wrist. She looked up again and frowned. "somvone vake Blake up." She motioned to a solder with his arm crossed and his head down.
Hagrias obliged by give the man a rough punch to the sholder, Blake snapped awake, "i heard you..." He stood up and pulled his DT-122 from its resting place. "Yeah she gonna wipe those reps apart..."
Vashkri sighed, "Vson... please hack their comms... tell them to retreat." She stood up and moved to a small pad towards the back of the carrier soon to be followed by the rest of the squad.
"Yes Madam Vashkri..." The AI took its place then called out. "Done... patching you in now..."
Vashkri nodded and toggled her comm, "Republic soldiers hearing this disengage now, support inbound." She looked at the other four around her and gave a thumbs up, which was returned by all of them. "Dropping... 3...2..." The pannels below the squad opened and the squad fell to the earth below, a small pod leading the way. The Pod hit the ground first cracking open into a impact absorbing cube of gel 6 feet tall and wide enough for all of hakkon squad to land on. Naturally Hagrias landed first stepping out of the gel and drawing his massive shield and a wicked looking mace to match. The rest followed suit and spread out as the republic soldiers whom were wise enough ran.
Hagrias didn't wait for orders, he bull rushed their target shield leading the way, threatening to crush under his mass. behind him Vson and Blake took pot shots in a attempt to keep the target from focusing. Vashkri took to the air, her blastilance in her hands and aimed at the other person that accompanied the target. Numbers moved to engage the same target as Vashkri.

Alana paused as someone called to her from ahead, with a lightsaber ignited in hand. She paused to catch her breath and frowned. "Why do you talk so weird? Nobody says whence." She scratched at her hair and tried to think about what to do. This was definitely a Sith. She could tell by what he was wearing. Maybe all the Sith talked that way? She wasn't entirely sure.

Slowly, she pulled out her own lightsaber, its blue blade springing to life. Then she just started to run, straight at this new opponent, arms pumping at her side. She didn't exactly have a plan, but it would come to her by the time she arrived.

As she ran, she found herself screaming a wild, sharp battle-cry, and she held her saber in two hands in front of her.

Within the helmet of his beskar'gam Vyr raised an eyebrow and smirked.

"You've not seen us rampaging just yet. Watch when we find these ori'dush prudiise." He replied through the vocator on his armor, his eyes never stopped sweeping the area for hostiles, his rifle held to his shoulder but the barrel canted down toward the ground as the investigators were directly before him.

Vyr nodded his head towards Mand'alor the Infernal as she approached, the investigators turned to her, clearing Vyr's field of fire slightly.

The lead investigator, Jules, wiped a bead of sweat from his brow as he faced and answered Yasha.

"Here." He answered, then cleared his throat. "Jules Fielding, Republic Investigations." He supplied, flashing his badge again while his eyes traced the symbols on the holoprojector, reviewing the patterns and comparing them with the ones he had seen inside.

Vyr's squad was then moved out of the area, establishing a portion of the perimeter around the academy as the Mandalorian forces swept the perimeter out, looking for any signs of the enemy, while [member="ambrose mantis"] was doing his wolf thing.

With a roar of his own he charged to meet her head on, not one to back down from a challenge despite his inexperience. The force which bound him was weak, pitiful, and wayward. Yet he used this force to imbue himself with strength. Dropping low, he sought to avoid the warrior's saber, bringing his blade in a wide arcing horizontal sweep in an attempt to strike at her legs, before pushing, and stumbling away so that he might not suffer immediate recourse.

The sword he bore was simple, perhaps made purely of steel and little more. It would not hold up against a saber-strike, and Vice knew it. The swordsman would need to rely on his untrained agility to avoid the lightsaber's wrath.

Giddean walked out of the far northern building dragging a cloaked figure behind him. Very much dead, and very much a pain to get that way in Giddeans opinion. What he saw through the Rangefinders forced him to investigate closer, and only concluded what he thought. At this point, the damn Cultist had cut his weapon in half. He was carrying his lightsaber openly in one hand, the other was gripping the cloak of the dead man.

He had seen the Mandalorian Shuttle during the battle with the Cultist. To be honest, if the shuttle did not distract the man for that split second, it would have lasted longer. He was able to light his weapon with the roar of the engines and stab him. Since the civilians decided that the Mandalorians were safe enough to approach, guess their was some kind of friendship between the two he was not made aware of.

Walking up to the group of gathering... Individuals, he put his hand with the lightsaber in the sky. "Friendly, Republic Jedi, Sentinel Investigation Division, does anyone know who our dead friend is and why he was with several bodies that were drained of blood?"

He saw that this force user was using the force to gather every drop of blood from the dead students that had barricaded themselves in the Library. It was less a massacre and really more of an extermination. Giddean was trained to see those situations and feel nothing, but seeing it in real life was almost impossible to keep it all in.
