Name: The Wildcards
Intent: To expand the SJO’s ground forces for defensive actions, the Unit has been in operation for a long time, formerly republic then AOL, I'm making it official as per the new rules since my return.
Affiliation: Silver Jedi Order
Availability: Unique
Type: Brigade Size - Special Forces.
HQ Unit and Infantry - Ship to Ship and Ground Special Forces. Shuttles and Escorting Fighter Squadrons. With detachments for forward recon. A battalion of urban combat specialists, and a mechanized engineering battalion of Nikto who provide some light armor support.

Strength:
Brigade, Broken down into 6 Battalions of 1,500 men each.

6,000 Wildcards, Former AoL and Republic Special Forces x5 Battalions
Ship boarding, infiltration and close combat specialists.

1,500 House Rules, Hard Targets Battalion, Former AoL and Republic Coruscant Forces x 1 Battalion
Fixed Emplacement, Urban Combat Specialists from Coruscant. These can be considered Veterans but not special forces, heavily armed and armored.

1,500 Kintan Nikto Mercenary Battalion former AoL x 1 Battalion
Mechanised Engineering Battalion, using what they have to hand to build what they need. These are not elite forces, these are mercenaries that joined the AoL during their war with the Sith.

Standard crew of the Beacon, taken from SJO worlds, lightly armed, and armored.
5,300 Personnel.

Space Assets, used in ship to ship boarding, or close air support. - Ex AoL assets.

HQ The Beacon - 1 x Interdictor Class Cruiser | Acquired
1 x E-Wing Squadron (13 craft) - Named the Highcards. A multi-role support squadron. Crack pilots but never many of them compared to their opponents.
2 x Y-Wing Squadrons (26 Craft) (Retro Fitted) Named the Straight Bet, fresh pilots taken from SJO worlds, not veterans.
7x Gamma Class Assault Shuttle - Boarding and Transport Craft
10x Droch class boarding craft - Smaller 6 man boarding craft.

Sometimes Supported by:
Arion R&D Ships - From Hynator Holdings | Ex AoL Assets.
1x Trident Surveyor Ship
2x Astrogator Probe Ships - For setting up a Scout Screen around their position, and Testing.
8x E-wings
1x Class C Frigate (Hospital Variant)

Description:

The wildcards have been in operation since Kei’s republic days, they were original trained to help the republic push to develop their armed forces when they were trying to build them up. Picked as the best of the best from republic worlds, they engaged mercenary groups, Sith and criminal cartels in a variety of engagements, with everything from total failures to resounding successes. Joining the AoL to fight the Sith when the Coruscant senate and formerly the Tython Jedi temple were all but destroyed, they were joined by a Battalion of Coruscant’s finest used to Urban fighting, and with Sera Inkari’s efforts on Kintan a battalion of Nikto. They don’t always have the best armor, or the best tech, but they have the best training, veteran experience of several conflicts, and are often hard as hell to rout, having a fighting spirit second to none. Most importantly the variety of their weaponry is what makes them so devastating to face, their adaptability.

Recently the SJO have given them a home, and after rescuing them and the Arion Support fleet from the Netherworld, have begun repairing and assisting the wildcards rebuild their armament. Undertaking a large recruitment of Squib to counter Vong Tech, and the many new blaster and slug resistant armors across the galaxy, have seen plasma, Sonic and Organic Tractor weaponry becoming their mainstay, making them highly effective in these often neglected resistances.

General x 1 - Colonel x 6, 1 per battalion - Commander - Captain - Lieutenant

Strengths:
+Adaptable, able to adapt to most all terrain, and changing battlefield conditions quickly.
+Versatile, a large degree of different weaponry, explosives and tech.
+Experience and Extreme level of Training
+Ship to Ship Boarding Specialists (Wildcards)
+Urban Combat (House Rules)
+Engineering Detachments (Nikto)
+Fast Strikes
Tactics Excelled At
Offensive: Guerrilla Fighting | Infiltration (Hutier tactics) | Rapid Deployment
Defensive: Fighting Withdrawal | Hedgehog defense | Fortification

Weaknesses:
-Nikto are undisciplined.
-No Heavy Armor Tanks or Vehicles.
-Not even any Medium Armor for Flanking, though some exists for transport.
-Prone to heroics and never wanting to leave men behind.
-The main bulk of the force hate protracted engagements.
-Lacking New Tech or top of the line Armor and Weapons - This may be reversed in dev threads but will never be top notch.
-No Force Users among them.
Examples of Tactics they'd be useless at
Armored Spearheads | Encirclement | Frontal Assaults | Siege | Overwatch or Base of Fire | Any armor actions of any kind.

They have no special tech subs developed yet, as that wasn’t a thing when we were using them previous, I may ask this to be updated when there are.

Nikto Wear no uniform armor, they wear whatever they have built or scavenged.

Hard Targets lean toward the heavier weapons, Wildcards lean toward the close combat loadouts, and Nikto simpler rifles. The ship’s crews tend toward simple sonic carbines, or blaster pistols.

As with before, please allow Coci and Thurion to review this first and like it if they are okay with the submission, but by all means we can address any concerns now in the submission.

I want to thank and apologize for the large variety of links the reviewer needs to look through, if it's any consolation most are exactly what they say on the tin, variety is and has always been the wildcards strength. With the more ambiguous names needing a browse to see what they are, like the Matrix Armor, Tensor rifle, along with importantly the Echani vibrosword/Electro staff (hence why the last two are rare).

I have nothing else to add to the sub. The reason it's a WIP is till Coci has had a chance to review it, if she gives it a like we can go ahead. Otherwise the description needs a rework, and their intent will be in a mercenary role.

Alright, in that case this is fine. Normally we have a rule where W.I.P. submissions are archived until the writer is ready. However; I suspected as much.

You're probably going to need to submit a modified ship submission for this if you haven't. I'd consult a factory judge about this, I'm not entirely sure that'll be the case but you should ask.

Or if you're interested you may make a submission on the tech in factory if you were willing to expand on the weapon. These weapons are both made with restricted materials that have requirements for obtaining. You can either do threads for obtaining the materials that allowed your forces to construct these or finding the weapons themselves. Otherwise you'll have to swap them out for something else.

Everything else checks out, your past roleplays are more than enough as far as dev thread work for elite units is needed.

Removed the Frigate's alteration, just listed as a standard ship for now, i'll dev it for the company if it needs it later.
Techblades Removed
Echani weapons and electro staffs removed.
Despite the name seeming similar Electro Swords added, not resistant to lightsabers strikes which will sever them.

Coci gave it a like as well as Thurion so we are good to go on that side of things.

My only concern was that the materials were restricted, but not all lightsaber resistant devices are made of restricted materials. :)

So if you would like to change it to something that isn't of a restricted material yet still can block a lightsaber feel free to do so; if not let me know and I'll stamp this as pending.

Thanks for the compromise, struggling to find one tbh.
What I did add instead for captains and up was a:

Very Rare, Captains and Up, Silver Force Imbued Blade

So we might get to have a Sith dueling an officer for a short while in the background of a thread for flavor for example. I also listed what the officer structure was in the description with a short 2 lines added.

I think if we want to put in any resistances for their weapons on mass, I'll put up a further dev thread for cortosis

I see no reason why this shouldn't be approved but for the sake of transparency could you please add a list of strengths and weaknesses to this unit under the description? I should've requested this earlier but it slipped past me, my apologies there.

Everything checks out. If ever you do equip them with new technology or wish to add additional forces to the units strength you must submit a modification request here.

Other than that this is a rather well written submission and a unit I look forward to seeing in the heat of battle.
