A soft click occurred as Cardinal completed the functions check on the blaster rifle in his hands. The weapon was clear of any defects and seemed like it would work properly if fired. The older man had some training with blaster rifles before the Knight's Obsidian was reborn as an Order dedicated to training soldiers in the ways of The Force. Plainly put he was not the best shot but he was good enough. He leaned the blaster pistol against the tree next to him before looking up into the dense forest that surrounded him. It was a wonder he had found such an open clearing on the planet, what with the dense swamps that filled the world.

It was well over a hundred degrees and it was still quite early in the morning, as the sun had just risen over the horizon. The planet was damningly hot, even in the "winter" it seldom got below a hundred degrees. It would be a perfect place for the Knight's Obsidian's next task, training.

Since the Dark Lord, [member="Darth Metus"] had entrusted the progress of the Knight's to Cardinal the man had been wanting to focus his efforts on the unit's growth. Now that they were exclusive to Force-Users that would prove an easier task. Beneath his helmet and underneath the shade of his cowl the man kept his arms crossed over his chest. Though the jungle was perilous it would likely be the best scene for their next trial. He had ordered the Knight's to assemble in this clearing only an hour after sunrise. A small smile came over his face as he realized he was eager to get started. It had been while since he had instructed a class himself.

Why was it so hot, the planet seemed hell bent on cooking the people here. While his father had left him under the supervision of no one but himself, this was not just the beginning of his career in the Confederacy but also a test. A test of his fortitude and ability to apply himself. Rane had only recently been allowed to leave the estate of the great Metus so he still found himself marveling at the new experiences. Except the heat, he hated this heat.

Isley had spoken many times to Rane about [member="Cardinal Vi'dreya"], held him at a high esteem. This was his uncle, the brother to Isley in a family where blood did not matter. He had only seen the man once during a viist to home to talk with his father, but that was the extent of his contact with him. As the teenager made his way to the clearing it was quite apparent, Cardinal was a monster of man. Had his father not told him the tale of the Dominus Prime, he would have assumed they were blood related.

He had come prepared, however, a simple T-shirt of a khaki color with thin military pants and boots with two pairs of socks on. On his hip was a belt wrapped around him pants to assure they would not leave his body. On the belt was his weapon, a very simple and very bland lightsaber of the training sorts. Rane had whacked himself a few times with it, while it could not kill it certainly hurt a lot. He looked down at his metal hand, flexing it's synthetic tendons and listened. It made a very soft whirling sound, servos and other mechanical parts moving in perfect shape in perfect response time.

"Morning." He said, stopping a few meters from the large man.

Rane was unsure if that was an appropriate greeting as far as the Knights Obsidian was concerned. Thankfully he was a morning person, waking up at this time was no hardship. With a few stretches before coming here, Rane was more than awake and ready for the day to begin.

The art of staying hidden with but the mere use of the force, certainly a skill that anyone would find useful. It was apparently something hard to teach and pass on, a skill only the truly talented could master... seemed there were many 'very talented' teenagers in the galaxy these days if past operations were anything to go by. Regardless any lessons ran by [member="Cardinal Vi'dreya"] were worth attending, and technically speaking she was still rather young in vampire years sooo getting around to learning such a skill would mean she would be on of these 'talented teens'.

Arriving at the designated meeting area the veteran knight wore a simple/casual outfit that most Atrisians wore. It's name probably eluded most, her people calling it a Hakama, the upper part white with a simple sash to keep it close to her waist, the lower part, a dark blue, almost the same shade as her long back swooping hair. The women's eyes glanced around the vicinity, once again herself among the first arrivals. The only other person present was a young individual who bore resemblance to the current teaching leading the lesson both in looks and smell, a possible relative? Approaching the two she gave a small bow as per custom, though mainly to the currently unknown boy "Good morning, I trust you had a nice night".

Inhospitable, that would be a good word for this place... Though that was the type of thing Rylan enjoyed, he relished in working in the worst of environments, his whole life was shaped around it, and so here he was, navigating the swamp, heading for the clearing in which the Knights where to do their next assignment. Moving quickly, and quietly, he was moving through the tree tops, sweat dripping form his brow, clothes sticking to his form as he leaped, dashed, and glided from branch to branch, tree to tree, at the very least, he was getting his exercise in.
Just meters from the clearing, he finally made his descent, landing with a soft thud on the earth before strolling into the clearing casually, already the Dominus was here, as where two others, one of which he had known of she was almost always at the Dominus' side on most of their missions, the other person, a man, he didn't recognize at this time, but that was to be expected. Rylan never spent much time in close proximity to his fellow Knights, he was a pathfinder, it was in nature to stay to the outer reaches and be the first boots on the ground to scout and report back, he had no interest in staying put, there was a whole galaxy out there to explore.
Shaking his head a little to clear his mind, a small smile came to his lips as he nodded to the three already there, today would be a good day.

I am a son of the Mountain.
The first to arrive had been another of Cardinal's interesting family. [member="Rane Vi'dreya"] was another hopeful who Darth Metus had adopted into their family much like he did Cardinal. Due to his schedule Cardinal had not been able to meet Rane, yet he knew who the young man was the moment he saw him. A small, interest smile came over Cardinal's face as he peered down at him. He was young, seemed eager, not unlike Cardinal at his age. The much larger man closed the distance between the two, resting a firm hand on his shoulder. "Rane. Isley told me you would be coming around. I am Cardinal, I suppose I am also your uncle. We'll be starting class soon but if you'd like we can talk afterwards, how's that sound?" He asked, arching a brow at the boy before giving him a firm pat on the side of the arm.

The next person to appear, was [member="Kurenai Yumi"]. Cardinal was not surprised to see the young woman here either. She was usually a bit distant in terms of conversation, however when it came to anything to do with combat she was on board. It was no surprise this translated into training as well. He offered another nod, before greeting her as familiarly as most would get. "Knight Yumi. I am glad you have come. I believe this is a lesson you, particularly, would benefit from." Turning back to the tree, it was not until [member="Rylan Kordel"] arrived that Cardinal would address the group as a whole.

"Well. I suppose we can get things started. Knight Yumi, Knight Vi'Dreya, and Knight Kordel. The three of you are going to learn a particularly helpful technique today. It is not usually something that can be mastered in a short time, however we do not have the luxury of time.....We never do. Today we will go over the basics but it will be up to you to perfect this skill."

"Now...." Slowly, the three would notice Cardinal's large form would shift out of their view. His skin would become translucent and his eyes would fade from this world. In only a moment he was completely shrouded in a cloak of The Force, keeping him hidden from the naked eye. If they focused on him, they may be able to sense him, at the very least sense his presence as he tapped into The Force. However, they would be unable to see him until he materialized behind them, speaking plainly. "Cloaking yourself with The Force is a powerful asset, one all three of you will be learning today. It requires using The Force to bend the light around you until you are no longer visible."

He looked to Kurenai and waved a hand at her, gesturing for her to step forward. "Knight Yumi, step forward. I will guide you through it, you two watch closely."

Kurenai observed the interaction between the two men, her suspicion that they were indeed related proving true, now with more information the resemblance between he two was even easier to see. She wondered if there was much of a family bond between the two, didn't seem like they knew one another much, perhaps in time the two would become close it would be interesting to see.

Her small observation session was broken as the Dominus addressed her directly, causing the women to look at him with a bit of a confused looked, "benefit me"? Wait did Cardinal know about her past assassination title and job? Yes a lot of her missions did tend to be behind enemy lines but she often deliberately showed herself and going loud as it was part of the mission. That or the CIS had plans to use her in a more stealth oriented role? Regardless it would be a useful skill no matter the situation herself more then ready to be the first to take part in this lesson.

She watch on as the Dominus showed the basis of the skill, watching the light vanish from around him, the mans body no longer visible to ones eye, even if his signature and smell remained. It was quite the flawless move on Cardinals part, not even a small shimmer to elude to his presence as some stealth technology gave. With said demonstration over the only women at the group steeped forwards, taking position in front of her younger superior, "okay, what must I first do"?

Cardinal's hands were clasped behind his back as he moved around Kurenai, speaking plainly. "This ability is not an easy one to learn. It involves using The Force to bend the very fabric of reality. There are two parts of this ability that must be mastered." A hand tapped Kurenai's shoulder to bring her attention down to Cardinal's feet. As he moved around there would be no sound erupting from his steps. Silence ensued as his boots marched over the ground until finally....The steps of his boot could be heard once again. "Sound is the easiest thing to nullify. Focus on The Force and bend the sound waves to your control. Silence them." He explained.

Looking to the other two Knights, Cardinal's eyes fell over them with a certain expression. "It's not easy. You have to focus on the sound waves first. Isolate them away from all else, even yourself. Once you have isolated them, drown them in The Force. Force your influence over them." Again Cardinal would let his boot impact the ground and once again it would be as if it had not even impacted.

"Now. Show them, Knight Yumi." He said, walking back behind Kurenai, watching her closely as she attempted the technique.

[member="Kurenai Yumi"][member="Rylan Kordel"][member="Rane Vi'dreya"]

Kurenai stood in a straight posture position as Cardinal explained how to start things off, herself already knowing that the skill also silenced sound. "Sound waves, you mean the compression and contraction between air molecules that perpetuate sound, that should be relatively easy". She assumed it required the the Art of Small to work proficiently.

Starting with her feat she would take hold of the particles around her feet, using the force to hold them still, preventing any movement, hopefully snuffing out any sound her clothes and movement made. Confident with her somewhat slow but eventual silencing she took a step, no noticeable sound coming from her boot as it crunched against the, well what she assumed to be a crunch as no sound came from the boot.

Still her clothes still fluttered in the breeze making a small flapping sound with each step, but in her mind it was a good step in the right direction, her eyes coking to the side looking at [member="Cardinal Vi'dreya"] any any critic he had with her methodology.
