STRENGTHS
Swan In Duck’s Clothing: The Undoubtedly ain’t much to write home about, but there’s no denying this cheeka wasn’t just made to fly, she was made to dance and glide with seemingly impossible grace for a vessel this clunky. From her engines to her maneuvering thrusters, her SLAM drive to her hyperdrive, every bit of this ship has been finely tooled to offer the pilot every nano-inch of speed and maneuverability she has to offer.
Pimp My Space Ride: It’s an unwritten spacer rule that no self-respecting smuggler vessel would be complete without an array of tricks and gizmos, and the Undoubtedly is certainly no exception in that regard. She comes fully loaded with an assorted bag of items that allow her to minimize her presence, change her appearance and identity, fly through conventional shield generators, and make the grandest of all escapes with its countermeasure packages.
Hidden Layers: Features custom spec reflec compartments with a layered custom mixture of powdered void stone and nullification resin lining, allowing the transport of all manner of illicit goods.
WEAKNESSES
Ramshackle Labour of Love: Nearly every component on this vessel has been sourced from a different vendor or provider. While this offers it a great deal of flexibility and functionality over the original model, it also means that almost none of them were really designed to be used in concert with each other. Needless to say, the maintenance requirements of this vessel are immense and features may occasionally cut out right or fail to engage at the worst possible time. Fun.
Conditional Subterfuge: Those stealth features might be sweet, many of them require the vessel to travel at below average speeds in order to be effective. They are also hard to explain should they be detected while active.
Burnout Or Fadeaway: As a trade off for the sudden burst of speed it offers, utilizing the SLAM drive requires power to be drawn from the shields and places a great deal of strain on the engines, meaning it really should be a last resort and even then used sparingly.
DESCRIPTION
The Undoubtedly is certainly one of the more storied models to pass through Stellarwind’s asteroid shipyards. One of the most heavily customized, too, by all accounts. Having started out life in service to the infamous One Sith, this Iron Crown vessel is rumored to have been integral in numerous covert operations and more than a few political scandals before it found itself decommissioned and sold for parts. Stripped, beaten and left for dead on some dreary desert world’s scrapyard. Hardly the fitting end to any ship, but then… It obviously wasn’t quite an end now, was it?
Retrofitted for a former independent contractor as part of payment for services rendered, the Undoubtedly was rebuilt almost entirely from the ground up to their specification, with new components drawn from a variety of sources to replace any missing. The end result being a rather unique, if impossibly ramshackle version of the original design - not that you’d know at a glance without looking underneath that paneling.
Should one be inclined to engage in such voyeurism, they'll be bound to notice the heavily customised engines (complete with bafflers), maneuvering jets, hyperdrive and assorted systems keyed around making this otherwise ungainly vessel one of the fastest and most maneuverable amongst its class. They'd also likely notice the less-than-legal modifications to allow the vessel to change its sensor presence, either dialing it down, changing it or even almost removing it completely. Or the other mods and weapons designed for when stealth fails and a quick, speedy exit is needed, allowing them to distract, waylay or even escape conventional means of capture. All in all, be it towards or away from, this is an ideal vessel for a runner.
