The image of Terrance Olavi appeared on the holoscreens and datapads of the successful applicants of his secretive auction. With the help of some of the best slicers around, Terrance was able to not only hide his own location, but the entire auction as well. Only those that secured their entry by paying a hefty entrance fee were able to gain access.

"Welcome to Olavi's Imperium of Oddities Auction. I am your host, Terrance Olavi. Congratulations! Each one of you have gained entry to something very...special. Recently I have created something truly fascinating. I call it A.M.B.E.R. It has the ability to immobalize anything. It's scope is so powerful that even molecule can entomb a man's fist. Just think of it, my friends...AMBER is more than just some alternate to carbonite. It can do so much more..."

Images took shape onscreen then, showcasing the different lots up for auction.

"It can create art. It can preserve life. Even Force Users are unable to stop the AMBER from engulphing them. Trust me, I've tested that out. I have for sale for you not only AMBERED pieces, but the means to deploy it yourselves. I have this specialized pistol that you can take along with you anywhere. And what happens if you accidently AMBERED...let's say your brother? You'll have little to worry about if you purchased the C.A.S.M. How the AMBER is made, well, I won't be giving up on that secret. But who knows? I could be convinced, if the price is right...."

Another screen change, listing the lots and the starting bids was displayed:

Lot A: Starting at 250,000 credits
-AMBER jewelry
-Preserved animals and plant art pieces.

Lot B: Starting at 500,000 credits
-AMBER Pistol with capsule ammunition
-CASM anti-AMBER device

Lot C: Starting at 1,000,000
-Mystery

From behind many layers of holonet firewalls, sat Melvand Zrimmir, a banker whose definition of moral and ethics had fuzzed over the years. Where, when he was once a rambunctious teenager, he might have seen something morally wrong, today he saw as 'perhaps best ignored'. This is what had led him to the auction today. Although he wasn't going for something as nefarious as a weapon powered by this frightening stuff, but the first lot, the art. As Zrimmir said not twenty minutes after he had found this auction, (Through much trouble, he might add) what a fine addition to his collection. When the bidding started, Zrimmir was more than pleased to input the first bid for lot A,

ANON - LOT A - BID 300,000CR

"This might be easier than I first thought."

Zhudah had gained a very unfamiliar business partner. In fact, none of the items up for auction would be part of her plans. However, the individual who contracted her made a delicious deal that she could not pass up. All she had to do was do her best at winning the Auction pieces the partner desired, and not let slip of exactly who her newest business partner was. She found him.... amusing.... for their ideals, and then compared to wanting this. In the end, she didn't care. If they used it for good, or for evil, but she suspected they wouldn't use it on a galactic scale. Which was why her business would be left alone. And, her sizeable bonus.... meant she did have a fondness for the auction.

"I will be matching the last bid for Lot B, and adding another five-hundred thousand credits. So that is one million five-hundred thousand credits. On Lot C, I have been authorized to put an ancient ship up as an added bonus. Now, it isn't a ship one would likely do battle in. It's a piece of Galactic History, that probably lead up to this moment. Either way, this ship was part of history, a history that tells where and how we stand today. Think of it as one of the rarest luxury ships ever made. But primarily, the bid for Lot C will, in fact, be five million credits. High Starting Prices need High Bids, do they not?"
  • Lot B: 1,500, Credits
  • Lot C: Rare Mon Calamari Ship, 5,000,000 Credits

There was a certain stigma from the auctions that Adron found himself in from time to time. Yet in the end he could not say that it mattered to him in the slightest. From his office, the man tapped into his terminal, using a series of encryptions and firewalls to mask his signature to the Holonet. From the side of his terminal he could see his own account was skillfully hidden. Having paid top dollar for this encryption hub, he was glad to see it was working well. With nothing else to be checked he tapped into the network.

He eyed the lots and the bids already placed and arched a brow for a moment. "AMBER...." He muttered before taking a moment to consider his options. Adron had a considerable wealth amassed, yet the man was not content with frivolous spending. Taking a moment to consider the lots, he realized lot C would not be worth the credits these people were bidding. Even if it was something exceptional, he would not risk it.

"I will be bidding on Lot's A and B. For Lot A I will bid a total of five hundred thousand credits." He said, taking over the bid for that lot.

"For lot B....I am willing to bid 7,000,000 credits, a fully armed squadron of SS-Starfighters, and ten Fleet Defense Drones. " With his bid input, Adron would wait to see what his counters would be. With a slight smile, the man knew he was only beginning, and he had something incredibly significant in his pocket that he would part with if necessary to gain the secret of AMBER.

Zrimmir slammed his fist against the table as he was out bid by another participant of the auction. Zrimmir wagged his finger at the console screen,

"I do not think so, Mister Anonymous!"

He tapped the console's touch screen furiously as he inputted his new bid,

"How quaint." Peering down at the screen of her datapad upon seeing the invite request, along with a swipe to permit her droid to begin bidding.

AD-8 watched the first bids roll in from the bridge of his ship. He was not concerned about anyone wanting to slice through the server and find out his location as any bids he made would be beamed to dozens of other ships in different systems around the galaxy before it was transmitted to the auction making it very hard to locate the source. He wanted lot C and decided to let the others start off the bidding, when he decided the time was right he decided to jump in.

From his terminal Adron arched a brow as both of his bids were, in turn, beaten. He clasped his hands together before clearing his throat and running a hand along the back of his neck. “Very well.”

Tapping into the console once again, he would insert his newest bid for Lot A. “I will be raising my bid to 800,500 credits.” He stated, before glancing over to the second lot once again. Eleven million credits, this auction was moving too fast, and the faster it moved the more money he would have to commit. Perhaps a small upbid could keep things from overly progressing.

“I will bid on Lot A as well. Twelve million credits, as well as the before mentioned ships and drones.” He verified the bid before leaning back, glancing down at the datapad beside him. He would wait before tapping into more of his company’s resources, perhaps he could keep things in check for a while.

After a good ten minutes of watching bids go stratospheric, Connory put down his drink and picked up his datapad. Lot C was getting too rich for his blood, but the others might be achievable, even if someone had bid a custom Star Destroyer with a nine-figure market value. Value didn't always mean more zeroes.

LOT A: One Nanorazer - a versatile, unprecedented handheld device for eradicating nanotechnology.

LOT B: One canister of a rare power-consuming organism. One Angel Eye, a unique short-range sensor capable of seeing through the stealth protection of a gravitic modulator. One Infernal Hypersabotage Droid. Technical specifications for highly versatile Dreamscape technology. One Mircinuur Isolation Projector, effectively a point-and-click personal-scale cloaking device.

At first Zrimmir was mad, then he was confused. Yes, another bid came in after his, 800,500 credits, that seemed correct. But then another bid was submitted, a device, a peculiar device. Whatever it was, it was in no way worth what Zrimmir bid next.

"O-Outbidded? Are you kidding me?" The mechanical voice echoed in her own little slice of the galaxy, encapsulated in electronics and driving up her bid even further.

This was the Dark Net.

Rooting through Deep HoloNet postings, the young Anzat had come across an auction that seemed to be brokering some kind of high value item. To be honest, when he'd tossed in his tribute in order to get access to the on-line auction, he'd imagined that it'd be a Hutt peddling people, spice, and weapons.

The so-called holy trinity of the criminal underworld.

What he'd found instead made his hair stand on end. "Chit," the youngling murmured, blinking as he read over the description of the lots and found himself doing a double take.

It was a biological weapon of exponential scale.

Carbonite as a weapon of mass destruction. Sold on the HoloNet. To avoid local taxes, no doubt.

"Chit," the youngling murmured a second time. He wasn't set up for this. He'd figured these would be small time, mafioso, Hutt Cartel strap-hangers pushing some old E-11 blasters. He needed to get additional analyst droids on these lines of communication and code.

"Send a message to [member="Jorus Merrill"] and a separate one to [member="Kurenai Yumi"] ," the boy uttered, as he buckled down and started allocating some additional bandwidth to the various resources that were trying to isolate and then triangulate the origin point for the broadcast of the auction.

Even that might be a VPN or mirror, but it would at least give him a starting point for tracking and identification.

"Ask them if they have any records pertaining to a Terrance Olavi."

The Underground and the Knights Obsidian covered a lot of proverbial ground. If this guy had the kind of contacts who could set up this kind of encryption, chances were high that he'd been operating in the black markets for awhile now.

In the meantime, he needed a token bid so not to attract attention by merely lurking in the channel.

Cold blue eyes peered over the holoscreen that sat in front of Adron. He had been outbid again and now things we're moving even faster than he had suspected. There was a soft exhale that erupted from him before he leaned back into his chair. At this point there was a bit of pride that went into why he would not back out, yet he tried not to let that aspect rule him.

Soft, steady taps ran over his desk as he decided on his next action. It was not long before he reopened his bid on lot A.

“I will offer 1,500,000 credits for Lot A.” He said, entering the information into the terminal. That was the simple bid, the next one would require much more…. More.

“Twenty million credits for Lot B.” He had certainly let pride take over. Adron tapped into the terminal as he expanded his bid a bit more. “The ships are still on the table.” He declared. Twenty million credits and a small escort force. It was an imposing bid, however Adron was worried this was not over.
