The Ugly [Mini-Board Event Auction]

Zrimmir was steaming mad. He wanted revenge, badly. So his temper was thin,

"Where is that information!?"

His most senior assistant approached,

"Sir, I must ask. Even if you do narrow down some names who have connections to these companies and products, without solid proof of appearance, what good would it be?"

A bold question, one that almost received him a verbal storm. However, Zrimmir came to a realization, his flurry was foolish, and would get him no where. It was time Zrimmir left. Besides, Zrimmir wouldn't want to be found out and compromised, that would be bad for business.

"That, is a smart perception on the matter, Nuu't. I believe it's time to make our leave from this auction."

So, Zrimmir logged out. He was done. Who needed such silly art anyways, plenty of it elsewhere.

Terrance's head slicer's eyes glinted with glee while he prepared to toy with the online hunters. Gift package #1 had been delivered. He had no doubt in his mind that they'd crack the code. He ALLOWED it to happen. But he had triangulated it's source to emit from the derelict ship.

And once he saw that tracing the source was exactly what [member="Sor-Jan Xantha"] was trying to do, he giggled and cheered.

Something else then caught Terrance's eye. Up on a few of the monitors, he was getting HUD feeds from [member="Tiali Orazio"] and the goons working with him. They were closing in on a special piece for his collection.

"What do we got there?" He grinned and headed back over to the auction feeds. [member="Melvand Zrimmir"] had logged out. That was quiet alright. Some always tended to leave. But as always, those that stayed were in for a real treat soon enough.

He turned his mic back on to address the participants. "My friends, contrary to what you might believe, Lot C is not the recipe for the AMBER. However I can guarantee that it can make you a lot of money. That is, if you play your cards right." And it also depended on whether or not they could see the big picture, as it were. Not everyone thought of the future.

Once again Terrance muted his mic. What he had seen through [member="Tiali Orazio"] 's HUD feed had really put a smile onto his face. He opened up a transmission to [member="Simultas"] . "Get the shuttle and supports down there and secure that Queen intact. Use the CASM if you have to. Don't let anyone get in your way. If she's not here in an hour, then you'll have to re-learn that lesson about failure. Neither of us would want that, now would we?" His pleasant demeanor was gone, replaced by the ruthless heart that Simultas knew.

He then turned to his slicer as he turned off his transmission. "Get an image from this man's HUD and transmit it to the auction. Let's see how much or how little it's worth." The sound of fingers tapping feverishly on the keyboards was all that was heard in response. Soon all of the bidders had this image pop onto their screens, accompanied by Terrance's voice as he turned his mic back on. "A prize fit for a Queen. In actuality, it is a Queen. I hear that she has dozens of worlds under her control. Think of it, ladies and gentlemen; think of the ransom, the blackmail, the extortion deals that could be struck just to get her back to her poor little sector of space.

The time of this auction is nearing it's conclusion. So you should start thinking about your final offers."

Terrance half expected prices to go down. Sometimes royalty were far more trouble than they are worth. But there was always the chance that things could turn out differently.

OOC: This post was broken when attempting to edit. Unfortunately, the conversation between Zhudah and the Backer are lost.

He was back, under a new anonymous account number, and having paid another hefty entry fee. He would have been back, despite the entry of the new prize, had it not been for a message given to Zrimmir by the KDY president [member="Ferron Troste"]. Troste wanted Zrimmir to bankroll him to buy back the queen, well Zrimmir didn't care much for Troste and he'd rather do it himself. So, he bought his way back in, which was quite painful for a penny-pinching Neimoidian, and now he was back. It felt almost embarrassing, but Zrimmir put those troubles aside, he had a queen to buy.

LOT C - 65,000,000CR, 2X BANKER CLASS CRUISERS, OPEN CAPITAL INVESTMENT UP TO 15 MILLION IN RANGE, HIGH SECURITY VAULT ACCOUNT.

Oh it hurt. It hurt so much. Zrimmir rubbed his temples. At least it was almost over, then he could see if all this trouble was worth it.

"Don't let anyone else win the bid, we can't be sure who they are or what their intentions are. I've received additional backing, and sending you the information now." Another message popped up on the messenger. Zhudah quickly read the information over. The more they communicated the more her backer could be traced as the signal was active, and perhaps, she could even be traced. She knew what her job was, and primarily it was not getting her backer caught.

Terrance watched the feeds on his various screens that showed the mayhem going on in Miller's park. He grinned inwardly as [member="Simultas"] began opening fire on everyone in the park. He had learned his lessons well. There was a chance that the brute could come after him some day, but he held the key to putting a stop to that. Or rather, he held the button.

He saw as [member="Lady Kay"] was freed from the AMBER, but remained unconscious. Such a side effect from the trauma was only going to last so long, much like the effects from being released from carbonite.

But she was being secured on the transport shuttle, that was all that mattered.

Terrance eyed the bids. They had slowed down with some bidders no longer responding. That was alright. He tallied them up, going through them carefully. There were some fantastic bids put out today and he was certain that he was going to put it all to good use.

My friends, this auction is now at a close. The winners will be appearing on your screens shortly. In three standard days time, messages will be sent to each of you in regards to where the exchange will take place. On behalf of...well, myself, I thank you."

He turned off his camera feed and imput the images of the winners.
