Profit. Investment. Trade. This is the recipe of the lifeblood that keeps the galaxy churning - for better or for worse. The Trade Federation exemplifies this, having become masters of economic manipulation and wise financial investment. Through this commercial savvy, the Trade Federation endeavors successfully into several markets, seeking to dominate in the shipment and trade of any product they can manage to get their hands on. This, coupled with the corporation's keen ability to map trade routes and establish the same, gives the Federation the tools necessary to close an iron fist on the trading industries of almost any star system they choose to.

Under the leadership of Viceroy Juun Prax, The Trade Federation seeks to capitalize on the chaotic state of the galaxy. With constant conflict plaguing the stars, there is an opportunity for the bold to seize victory from the jaws of other's defeats. With each new battle, infrastructure breaks down. With each new government, trade is disrupted and disputed. If a single, powerful voice was to rise from the fires of war it could hold in its hand the secret to galactic economic dominance.

But the secret does not lie in the production of goods - it lies in the ownership of the logistics in which those good-producing institutions rely on. As each new operation of the Federation expands, it is not truly the corporation taking on a new business venture - it is the Trade Federation contractually subjugating sectors of commercial enterprise. But industries alone are hardly the only targets. Colonies, backwaters, and factions in need are all prime victims of predatory contracts and hostile takeover.

Through the ambitions of a Trade Fleet capable of enforcing Corporate Trade Law or subjugating populaces, the Federation wishes to become an Empire in its own right - able to rival those powerful enough to take their golden thrones away.

Following the failure of the Trade Monarch to keep the Trade Federation in Neimodian control, a severe fracture occurred in which the Inner Circle of Neimoidia broke up into squabbling hives who could not provide centralized leadership. Even now the Inner Circle is fractured, torn between leadership after the many conquests of the planet left the succession in murky ambiguity.

It is during this time of turmoil that the Juun Hive and its leader, Prax, decided to take action. For a long time, they had been monitoring the stock, success, and profitability of the Trade Federation. When lulls in the market became apparent and the human leadership became less and less interested in ventures regarding the then-subsidiary - the Juun Hive made its move.

Juun Prax offered nearly a third of Juun Hive's wealth to buy the Trade Federation - a risky gamble to beat the other hive's to the punch. The offer was accepted almost immediately, as the exorbitant sum for such a failing corporation was hard to pass up. Though the financial loss is great - putting the Trade Federation back into the hands of Neimodians was a point of great influence for the Hive.
