The Start of Something New

The Eternal Queen
Adarlon- Sanctuary building

The Archon paced back and forth in her new office. Well, it wasn't really much of an office. Until the furniture arrived for the room it was more like a small, empty closet. It was small like a closet, anyway. But Feena didn't need much space here. She took the smallest room she could find, saving the larger rooms for the more important things- the infirmary, the orphanage, class rooms... Sanctuary was gigantic, built from the remains of the capital cities own community center. And now, it was actually starting to look like what it was meant for.

"Lady Feenarah?"
Feena almost rolled her eyes at this. She had so many different things she was called. Archon was her title with the Templars, but for the citizens, she was 'Lady', sometimes 'Madam', sometimes 'Master Healer', sometimes someone would call her 'Director'. All of that was wrong. She didn't know how many times she would have to insist on being called Mrs. Mason before it finally caught on.

"Mrs. Mason, if you please," Feena corrected as gentle as she could, "Can I help you?"

"I err... just thought I should let you know that the dormitories are set up now. We are ready to open our doors at your command."

"Do it."

"You.. do not want to give a speech?"

"What would be the point of that? No. I prefer to get right to work if we could. No need for a ceremony."

The young woman bowed and quietly left the room, leaving Feena on her own once again.

She hadn't been in a place such as this for quite a while. She'd been traveling constantly; mostly to places that were poverty struck. She visited these places lending her skills to those who hadn't normal access to it. Maybe Emahana had been doing this out of the kindness of her heart, or maybe she was seeking redemption, or maybe even possibly running away from something. All of that wasn't important enough to be discussed, and so she never spoke of it.

Emahana had recently came into a contact with an old mentor of hers; who offered her a place with her to become a healer. Of course Emahana wouldn't refuse an offer such a this, she had owed this woman, and honestly wanted to go. She clad in her black robes underneath a white one, made her way to what was called the Sanctuary Building. The place where the Archon would conduct her business, a place of learning, healing, and peace. She had seen what was a clearing out of people, some of who looked disappointed. She would later come to learn that it was a gathering for the opening of the building she was traveling to.

She was led by a assistant to small room, from a distance you could see the figure of a woman pacing back and forth. She made her way to the door walking calmly, with her hands in front of her, interlocked. Her head was slightly tilted down, and her eyes were closed. "Master Feena, or shall I call you Lady Archon now?" She spoke out as she came to a sudden stop at the door.

"Master Feena, or shall I call you Lady Archon now?"

Feena turned around, pausing her mad pacing, her thoughts interrupted once again. This time, it was less irritating, because it was an interruption from someone she had invited herself.

"Ah! Miss @[member="Emahana"]. Just Mrs. Mason, if you please."
Feena turned her attention to the window and motioned for her former student to join her.

"Come and see. Sanctuary will be open for the public soon. They will unlock the gates momentarily. A lifelong dream of mine and it's finally coming true."

Emahana had immediately put on her warm expression, hers eyes spoke warmth just as much as her smile. She hadn't seen her mentor in years, it seems like its been a life time, and yet @[member="Feena Mason"] hadn't aged a bit. She still looks the same, exuding all the positive traits you could think of. Emahana slightly cocked her head to the side, which jerked her braid that was in front of her body. "Alright then Mrs. Mason it is" she said politely, immediately following the motion she was given.

She walked over to the window, and stood right beside Feena, still with the same composure she walked in with. She listened to this woman tell her about this approaching moment. She had passion in her voice, but then why wouldn't she; she hadn't worked this hard for nothing. "I wouldn't have doubted your ability to make this happen for a second Mrs. Mason, I'm sure your services will do a great deal of good here, hence why I came to join you." She said with a polite smile. "I've just got here and you already taught me a thing or two about dreams" she spoke, and brining up her hand to cover her mouth as she chuckled.

A few years, yes. But Feena had good genes. Centuries of careful breeding in the Greyson family, generations of youthful looking men and women, even into their sixties- and Feena wasn't even yet forty. No. She hadn't changed much, save for a stray grey hair now and again.

Silver eyes studied the crowd at the gate. They could see her from the window up above, she could tell. Many had already turned their attention to her figure at the glass, perhaps expecting her to open the window and speak.

"I am glad you've come to join me. I've been quite under a bit of stress, if I am to be honest here. There are so few competent healers here, and there are always an abundance of sick and injured. It will be nice to have some assistance."

Emahana too gazed out the window, crowds and crowds of people, were anxiously waiting for the opening of this place, Emahana had to admit it was a sight to see indeed. She turned to face @[member="Feena Mason"] direction "Honestly Mrs. Mason this is a great experience to be apart of" she turned to look back out the window, "Seems as though they are also seeking a few words on the matter."

It didn't seem as if Feena had much to say, which was totally fine. She was more about business, and could address the public at any time. They both continued to study the crowd from the office window, then she spoke to her.

"Ah yes, I can see why you would be feeling stressed then, but to reassure you Mrs. Mason, this is what you've trained me for right? To aid those who need my assistance. That's why I'm here." She said calmly to her mentor.

The Archon didn't respond right away. As of right now, the crowd had been told to step back. She watched a small semicircle form around the gates, dozens of eyes watching her in the window. Waiting.

"We need more like you, @[member="Emahana"]," she sighed, "It's a big Galaxy. One building can't hold all the sick and homeless. Still... I suppose it's a good start."

She gave a nod and the gates slowly started to slide open.

She kept a small smirk, as they both talked. It was nice catching up and to now be working with someone who taught you; and for the same purpose at that. She turned slightly as @[member="Feena Mason"] spoke once more. Sadly, it was true, there was no way one building could possibly house all the injured, and the sick. It just came with being a healer; some might say that we had it the hardest. Sometimes we just knew that we weren't gonna be able to help a certain person.

"No, we need more people such as you Mrs. Mason, your absolutely right, its a start." She said calmly as she watched the gates open. "It's the life of a healer.." She said with a slight sigh.

The Eternal Queen
Life of a healer. What a life it was. Feena had been many things in her thirty five years; A noblewoman, a Jedi, a warrior, a mad doctor, a scientist... But none of that was half as difficult, nor half as rewarding as her many years as a healer. And she was widely regarded at being, well, very good at it.

She watched the crowd soar through the gates like a flood, took a deep breath then turned on her heel.

"Come. We have much work ahead of us."

And soar the crowd did indeed, it was almost overwhelming even though they both were a quite a distance. All was indeed good though, these people only wanted help and that was our job. She kept her professional composure about her, and her head followed the voice from which it came. She would interlock her hands and follow her former mentor into the fray of the people. There was much work to be done, you didn't have to say that for it to be known; you could even hear it within @[member="Feena Mason"] voice when she spoke. She followed behind her superior, "Yes, Mrs, Mason. I'm right behind you"

Hands folded in front of her, Feena went back, way, way back to the training she had received from her mother. The training fit for a Lady. It was habit that she often fell back into, often when she did not even mean to. Back straight, shoulder back, chin up, eyes forward. Perfect posture. She had already started teaching her own daughter this without realizing. It was only when Feena caught a glimpse of her own reflection in a window that she realized how proud she must look.

She made an effort to relax her shoulders some as they went down to the main hall where registration for the homeless had already started, where orphans were being turned over to her care, where sick and injured were already being transported to the infirmary for treatment.

There was a hush that fell over the crowd when the Archon stepped forward, looking her own handy work over. People moved out of her way. Keter often called her 'Queen', teasing her for her mannerisms. But now? She was starting to feel it.
What a kingdom to rule...

"Please form orderly lines. Registration is this way. The Orphanage program is over here. Sick and injured will be escorted to the Infirmary. Information desk is over there. Any questions you may have will be answered in a timely manner. We ask for you cooperation and your patience. Thank you."

Emahana had noticed @[member="Feena Mason"] take on a new posture, one that spoke the characteristics of a lady; a lady in a position of power. If she hadn't exuded pride before, she had definitely been doing so now Emahana thought silently to herself. It did feel as if Emahana were in the presence of royalty. She wouldn't be the only one to think so, as they made their way down to the main hall many of the Archons employees had noticed her proud aura; it was enough to stop some in their tracks.

There was so much hustle, and bustle around the main hall; so much movement, and slight chaos. That all came to a sudden hault when the crowd went hush. It was her; Feena that commanded the room. It was her role as Archon that closed the mouth of the sick, injured, and poverty struck. Emahana watched with some of the other employees as their superior spoke to the masses.

The people once given direction, had scattered once more to their specific areas, Emahana slowly made her way to the entrance of the infirmary, directing, and greeting the people as they approached her either with their questions and concerns.

While @[member="Emahana"] went off to assist the other healers, Feena went around to each station, monitoring the way the process was handled, deciding what would have to change to make everything go smoother.
When she got to the infirmary, she met with her former student once again.

"How is everything going here?"

Emahana had a slight smile on her face as she gestured to everyone. Some touching her hands to show their gratitude, which she returned with a slight bow as she cupped their hands within hers. There was a reason she was here, to help all of these people. To share her gift within the force with all the helpless. She hadn't noticed her mentor approach her, until she looked over.

"Everything's fine Mrs. Mason, the people are nice, the place is nice. Everything going fine." She said smiling at the women, which would get cut off here and there due to the people passing by.
