STRENGTHS
  • Everywhere/Nowhere: Fast and stealthy, The Spirit of Unity can traverse nearly anywhere she’s needed in good order, or avoid fights it hasn’t a hope of winning.
WEAKNESSES
  • Twice Shy: Lacking heavy weapons to engage large capital ships, The Spirit of Unity must pick its engagements and play to her strengths. For if she were to become heavily damaged, the Grand Jedi Council and Casaana would have to rely on the generosity of outside shipyards to effect repairs.
DESCRIPTION
A repurposed light cruiser in the style of the Mon Cala Mercantile Fleet of the Galactic Civil War, The Spirit of Unity began its life as a convoy escort capable of acting as transport for traveling dignitaries. Designed for fast response to threats, she can charge in and lay down effective fire against other small capital ships, fighters, and any other pirate threat such as small freighters or gunboats. Multilayered and fast regenerating shields allow the cruiser to stay in the thick of a fight far longer than most ships of her class would be expected to, and are backed by redundant shield generators in typical Mon Cala style. This provides The Spirit of Unity the opportunity to slip away from disadvantage engagements when outmatched or hold out for reinforcements.

With evenly distributed weapons, half her guns can bear forward, aft, or to each flank, at any one time, giving her excellent defensive and offensive coverage. Heavy-duty tractor beams allow the snaring of foes, preventing their escape to hyper space, letting her force engagements or capture smaller ships. Her moderate, but versatile armament poses a lethal threat to anything in her weight class, down to the most nimble of fighters. And her ion cannons can harass larger vessels when coordinated with other capital ships. A ventral hanger bay houses two squadrons of fighters, along with support craft and the personal ships of visiting Jedi. Unfortunately, this arrangement means that when the Aurora is landed in water or submerged, only aquatic capable vessels are capable of exiting the hanger. While not a city ship, The Spirit of Unity maintains the ability to traverse underwater for extended periods of time. Its elongated hull shape contributing to the ship’s underwater speed.

Once part of a pirate flotilla taking advantage of the confusion following the planeshift by raiding passenger liners, the cruiser was recaptured by Jedis Casaana Casaana Mykel Dawson Mykel Dawson Braze Braze and Aether of the Iron Order Aether of the Iron Order with the help of the Mandalorian Saram Kote Saram Kote . After boarding, Casaana jokingly claimed it as her own before turning it over for the use of the Grand Jedi Council, fulfilling a youngling dream of having her own pirate ship. Now, any Jedi can call on The Spirit of Unity as a mobile base of operations or for help in a fight or to provide relief aid to those in need. In the spirit of renewed cooperation, communication, and compassion among all Jedi unified in the Force, Any Jedi of any Order or creed may call upon The Spirit of Unity for Light and Life and a brighter future.
