The Sleeping Secret

Togoria, or what was left of it anyways. This planet had been ravaged by the Sith when they'd made their attack on it, endangering most of the species of the Torogians themselves. Those that lived were slaves before the end of the Sith Empire. But that still didn't help as the planet would take a very long time to heal from such a deep wound. However there were some things here untouched, some secrets left to be discovered.

A ship landed and emerging from it was a small gang of alien mercenaries by the look of them. They were the usual scum types of two rodians, a chiss, a duros and even a few humans and a zebrak. All of them were here at the orders of their boss, one of the Hutts of the cartel and Black Sun Syndicate. Which one, who could say, but it was clear they were here on orders. They had, in fact, come because the Hutt had come into possession of a datachip that, after tinkering around with it, revealed information on some great hidden treasure on the planet. Of course no one could’ve made a move while it was under Sith control but now, with the Empire’s fall, came the opportunity.

“Alright, men.” The duros who acted as leader said. “We’re about 100 yards from where this thing is supposed to be buried. Let’s hurry up before we attract any unwanted company.”

With that all of them were moving out. What were they about to find? Who else would be looking for it? Who knew? They only knew that apparently this secret datachip was handed down over the centuries, passing from one hand to another before the Hutt managed to find it. What must’ve been waiting was sure to be valuable to say the least.

Or course, with the Empire's fall, former members had come to these planets in order to pick up the pieces. Togoria wasn't in the domain of the Republic, and as such, Circe was here to see what of the ashes had survived Kaine's brutal purging of the Togorian homeworld. It was a reminder of how ruthless the Sith Empire had been to its member worlds, and how fortunate Circe was that she had not participated in such gruesome acts of wanton slaughter. Still, however, the aftereffects were quite visible as her shuttle landed on the ash-covered world.

The concentration camps had long since been destroyed. Nothing was left of them. Which was why Circe was looking for something, anything, that emitted a strange or unorthodox energy signature.

Intriguingly enough, there was such a thing a few hundred yards away from her.

Insignificant Planet, check. Secluded areas, Check. Ravaged by war and the sith, Double Check. This was the one of the places she visited often, using it as a nexus of pain and hurt, to fuel her own meditations on such phenomena that she had been working to improve. It was a curious planet to say the least and even more so she was nearby when the mercenaries landed and watched them from the shadows, stalking them as they moved to a certain area and started to get to work on what ever it is they thought lay buried. Perhaps this was time to test her abilities and to wipe out a few more criminals in this galaxy.

Closing in on the area the hired thugs eventually found what looked like old ruins. Figuring from the damage done during the Sith raid these must've looked much better than they did now. It was more of a ruin than a usual ruin would be figured. The damage was a mixture of fresh mixed with new as the moss covered areas from where the ruins had been sitting before were now disturbed with newer wounds caused by the sith. Rocks mixed with the remains of the buildings were mixed together in a devastating collage of devistation. The few houses that remained were mainly caved in roof areas while also some with half of the houses gone.

Looking around the duros leader signaled for the men to spread out and start searching. They began scouring through the buildings trying to find any signs of what they were looking for. A moment later one of the men called everyone over, they finding a sealed door that must've lead to a bunker or safe of some kind. Just as the duros smirked with his victory one of the look outs called over, spotting a green woman approving. The leader ordered for two men to stay behind to get the door open while the rest went off to dealt with @[member="Circe Savan"].

The duros stood in front of them, as the group had their guns pointed at her, and said "Pardon me, ma'am. I'm afraid you're on private property. You'd best turn that green behind of yours and get back home."

While the men were busy with the very memorable @[member="Circe Savan"], Alexandra strode silently from cover of the forest and moved about the ruins slowly as to avoid being seen before pressing her back up against a stone and waiting for the two to get the doors open, better to face two over five even with Savan there. While she waited she began to center herself and calm down, opening herself up to the force in such a way that every force user in a hundred miles would feel, no discretion just connecting to the force and letting it work through her for her to bend as a weapon if she needs to.

Stepping towards a formation of ruins, Circe looked over the Duros who had spoken to her with regards to his claims of this being "private property." "Please... after what Kaine did to the place, there's hardly any property left to own, or any government to certify that you indeed have said property." her hand, underneath her robe, clenched around the grip of her Mist atomizing pistol. "I'm merely here for the same reason I assume you boys are here for - hunting, searching. You know, that sort of thing." She paused, noticing the feeling of another presence taking advantage of the distraction.

"Besides, if what I'm sensing is the case, you're going to have bigger problems to deal with. There's a Jedi around who's probably already waiting for you in the ruins. I'd suggest you tread lightly..."

@[member="Sanna Legra"]

Krest hums lightly, walking in between @[member="Circe Savan"] and the crew of the Black Sun with relative calmness. He moved towards the ruins, simply walking in without a word. His reasons to be here, his objective, all of it was really his own. He had no purpose, he just enjoyed Tomb diving. Had he known there would be others, he would of prepared. But for now the simple approach was best. Between what he sensed as a master and the 'jedi' in the tomb, getting the others to underestimate him would be best.

So he goes into the tomb, simply following the presence he felt when he wandered close by. Who ever it was, he planned to help at least.

@Sanna Legra

The duros and the others looked around when @[member="Circe Savan"] mentioned more force users about. He drew his blaster at her and said "Then I guess we'll just have to finish you before they...." He stopped when @[member="Krest"] suddenly stumbled his way over and casually walked through them. The band all watched him, stunned to see someone like him just casually walking around a potential battlefield. The leader looked at his men and said "Idiots! Shoot him! Kill them all!"

With that they all opened fired, at Krest, Circe and anyone else who'd come close. The duros pocketed the datachip with the codes for whatever was inside the vault that his other men were still dealing with. At the time of the gun fre they had rigged the door with explosives and were priming them for detonation. These thugs would see their mission complete one way or another.

@Alexandra Cinthra

Krest burst forward into the ruins, using the force to speed him up. From behind it might even look like this was his plan. But his voice sounds off louder, and he books it, lasers firing around him.

"Crap crap crap crap crap crap!" He dives down into the stairway, rolling with it. He stops at the base of the stairs, his palm saber lit. The group up top wasn't really what he was worried about, it was what could be hiding in a sith tomb.

Ducking behind the ruins of a stone pillar, Circe pulled out her Mist atomizing pistol. Setting it for half-charged shots - enough to deal with these thugs - she fired her first clip of twenty rounds at the various thugs, four shots of extremely hot plasma at each. She hoped to, at the worst, ignite them on fire, and at best, disintegrate a limb. Or two. "Joy, Jedi! Look what you've done now!"

Reloading, she looked up and fired several normal shots at the Duros, the leader of the group. By killing him, the rest would hopefully scatter so Circe could enter the ruins and see if anything of worth was inside.

One of the mercenaries, or thugs, or whatever, would suddenly fall to the ground. No blaster wounds. No lightsabers... He had fallen asleep like a baby. And the reason why sat on a surface connected to the roof of this little hidden area. The Jedi Master, Joshua DragonsFlame, had heard rumors of criminal activity here, and decided to check it out. He'd been amused to find Circe, SnoopingAsUsual, likely looking for some kind of odd treasure.

The purpose was clear, the mystery collapsing of one of their men might scare them off....

Krest had slashed his way through the sealed door by then, his palm saber flashing a bright color. He found himself in the tomb, letting the others fight. Another master by the feel of it had shown himself, and it cause the Zabrak to grit his teeth. He was no where close to be their equal. Sure, he could at least give them a fight with just his sword, but he still knew too little with the force to be able to defend himself against them.

If Krest wanted to get to what ever was sealed first his only hope was the two masters would either take their time, or fight one another. He hoped for the latter.

A smirk crossed Josh's face as he clenched his fist. A Force Pull, just as Krest would try and escape through the door ahead of everyone else, would suddenly send @[member="Krest"] back into the room. The Jedi Master wiggled his finger and motioned toward the thugs... Almost as if saying "Wait for the rest of us".

Wow, a Jedi Master encouraging fair play. When did that ever happen?

Oh wait....

@[member="Krest"]

Krest finds himself pulled back out by a cheater Jedi. He lays there on his back for a moment, his palm saber off. Then he gets up, dusts himself clean, and moves back to the door. He holds up a hand, waving off the rest of the group before taking off in a run. In truth he was simply getting out of site from the gun fight. Stupid master pulled him into a clear shot. The man might as well of stabbed the Zabrak himself.

With men dropping down for whatever reason the duros, just before taking a hit himself, used his commlink and said "Loose the droids!", then falling to the ground a moment later. From the ship where they'd landed the last crewman activated three destroyer droids, each with a painted symbol of the Hutt Cartel on them, and all went rolling out towards the site. Meanwhile the men who'd set the explosives had fallen as well, just before they could set the timer, leaving the door to the bunker to be sliced open by @[member="Krest"]. But before any of them could enter the destroyers arrived, opening up, activating their shields, and firing at anything that wasn't one of their own.

Alexandra just watched from the shadows of the tomb, watching as the Duros man walked right past her and calling in his droids before sighing and rolling her eyes. She stepped out of her hiding place and let the Jedi and Sith fend off the droids, she though put her arm around this man's shoulder while he was focus on them and a blaster to his side. "Would you mind taking a walk with me sir, im a member of the Black Suns and i would like to know why the hutts are on our territory." She was lying of course but her voice laced with the force to influence him while a normal confident tone that made it sound like she was telling the truth. @[member="Sanna Legra"] @[member="Krest"] @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] @[member="Circe Savan"]

Krest found himself being shot at by destroyer droids. He had read about them, never seen them. Part of him wished he had chosen to train against them, but he figured that only the CIS would have the war droids. He moved behind a pillar, letting the destroyer fire away. "Why'd you have to pull me back? Now I'm getting shot at, again." The Zabrak frowned, thinking on any tactic that would allow him to at least destroy one of these things.

The duros was confused as he was pulled aside before the woman said she was with the Black Suns. He inflicted for a moment before stopping her and saying "Look here, girl, we have our orders. A certain benefactor wants whatever's inside that bunker. And not you or anyone else is standing in our way." He drew his blaster and had it pointed right under her chin. "Not even from scum force users like you!"

The destroyer droids began advancing, two going off to face with @[member="Krest"] and @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] while the final one went after @[member="Circe Savan"]. They dropped their shields to move before finding position and beginning to volley on them. They were trying to keep them busy while one other merc, the rodian, hurried past everyone and made for the bunker. Once he made it inside he found it lead down into a lab area where a number of ancient looking technology was, most destroyed or just rotted and rusted. As he kept looking he began to question something.

"Where it the fraking treasure?"

@[member="Alexandra Cinthra"]

Welp, no use staying on the top now. The Jedi Master drew his lightsaber and leaped down, deflecting blaster bolts from the destroyer droid that was firing at him. Having to work together with @[member="Circe Savan"], that was a new one. But he'd deal with it, as he tried deflecting bolts back at it. Sadly, all they did was bounce off the shield. Huh, how had he taken down destroyer droids before...

That's it! He remembered that blunt weapons or lightsabers were good at shutting down destroyer droid shields. Now if only he could get close enough...

Suddenly, he disappeared. The Jedi Master crouched down, enveloped in the Current and out of the destroyer droid's senses. This gave him a moment to think, and wait...

When he figured the droid had, for a moment, forgotten about him, he suddenly lashed out, appearing again from behind the droid and slashing the shield. It went down after a slash or two... Perfect!

But that wouldn't deter the droid at all, Josh knew, and he quickly kept up his assault, slashing through the droid as quick as he could to destroy it.

As the destroyer went down, Josh wiped the sweat from his brow. Whew.. He still needed to practice in the Current.

"How you holding up, planty-licks?" Josh teased in Circe's direction.

Alexandra fired long before he even had the blaster out and at her chin, she never intended on keeping him alive to tell the black sun that someone was impersonating them. No no no, she fired right through him and let him fall to the ground before firing a few more times into his chest for good measure and to make sure this guy wasnt getting up ever. Once dead she rummaged through his person and relieved him of the very datachip he had so kindly brought to her and put it into her datapad while she worked to lower her aura of force sensitivity, after all, the other three were all force sensitive, two of them masters.

No once she had it she crept deeper into the ruins and began to follow the halls to the coordinates...
