[member="Meric Nadun"] okay bring up your issues with the one sith here, as this where they should be brought up. So they can be examined, as I like to know, and moaning about things never gets anything resolved. Also I have only one loyal character to the one sith, that is harley.

They aren't really my issues. The issues are issues others have expressed to me and I won't comment on those. My only real issues are the abject douchebaggery I often see from some members of the faction (example: Darth Janus starting a potential fight by electrocuting a then NFU whose writer, me, was interested in getting a good IC fight even if I lost). The other issue is the general approval of these god like sithspawn, especially when people write them as shrugging off attacks from starship weapons and everything else. I have no problem with sithspawn existing, but using them to GM isn't cool. Using them in general isn't really conducive to good RP anyway. Lots of people have dropped out of invasions or not participated because of the over use of giant Sith spawn.

[member="Meric Nadun"] I expect sith lords just to electrocute people, as otherwise what's the point of being one. Also if this was teta, then you should took the hit, then have it get conducted in some of the steel works. So you would be hurt, but not out.

As for sith spawn, have you ever sat down and thought I need to kill them. How can I do this, what do I need and do a thread about it. Then a sub, for the item to kill the sith spawn.

Right because I can just have it magically jump from me into something else. Me, I expect good RPing. Jumping straight to electrocution is not good RPing and makes for poor story. I didn't see Maul do that. Path of least resistance has the lightning going through me and into the ground.

I shouldn't need a special item to kill Sith Spawn. I personally don't with either of my characters any longer. It is, however, the truth that they get abused, which was my point in what I said. They are used as OP tools of war and then used to GM.

I'm awful sorry that Darth Janus put more thought into defending against your character than yours put into attacking him.

Perhaps this lack of a thought process would explain why you have no credentials.

No. It was just you being a dick, Janus.

I've been RPING since 2001. That was the first time anyone has ever used Force Lightning as an opening move in a fight against me. General response is to go for the Force Push and then duel. People want a good story, not to be taken out the first post of a duel.

You know... you could always have just I don't know... asked him not to use that as an opening move? And if he refused... I don't know... report him?

Issues of "Douchebaggery" can often be resolved by using the tools available to you as member of this community.

And I'll be totally honest that at least for me (and Janus apparently), my Sith Lord would absolutely fry up some NFU's simply because he can. That's just his character. He cooks 'em up good, and then eats their deep fried souls.

If it's within the bounds of a characters behavior to open up a fight with lightning, then by all means the writer should be entitled to have their character act that way. Obviously though, to every situation there are alternatives, you just have to ask for them. Be proactive and all that garbage.

Honestly I see this as blown way out of proportion over something not quite as serious in my opinion.

I brought it to his attention at the time, @Fatty. He didn't care and it was a legal move so reporting it to staff wasn't going to do anything. I had Niamh use it as a learning experience and build a suit to counter it but when he did that I lost all care for that thread and the fun was sucked away.

That's an appropriate IC response to a fickle situation.

It was not an appropriate OOC response to a fickle situation.

Reporting is not just about rules, its about notifying staff of personal transgressions you hope to see rectified. If you feel you are being treated unfairly, use the report and let Staff tell you what is and isn't worth reporting, instead of you dissuading yourself from getting an enjoyable experience through role playing.

I have issues with this as well, and have addressed them. OS or not, it isn't the entire faction that is given bias.

I generally only report things that are rules violations.

I have issues with the general culture of the OS. Not everyone in it. Never had a problem with you for example. But I'm glad thay, if I understand correctly, you also have a problem with the above behavior.

Then as Fatty said, report them when they make the transgression. Posting here does absolutely nothing to help you.

You need them in the act, and you need to convince a member of staff you're in the right.

[member="Fatty"] sabrina opening move on a nfu, is to crush their weapons and watch them squirm when she was a sith. Though I would like the title rogue sith lord, but settled for rogue master.
