"Does it sound like a thousand shattering plates mixed with the mewling of cats in the night?" She said it describing how she heard Zak Dymo Zak Dymo s fancy glitch music. "Cause I know they discovered Zak's music he makes in the temple." She said it as the shuttle was coming to land and the doors opened to reveal several jedi. Standing there, their appearances clean cut and highly professional looking. Hair cut and facial hair trimmed even this far out as she walked forward taking in some partss of it. "Or are you hearing the call in the force that is on this world?" She said it and she could hear something on the edge of her hearing... at times it seemed like she could see something out the corner watching but it was never there when she looked.

there was a chance Jorus Q. Merrill Jorus Q. Merrill Jorus Q. Merrill Jorus Q. Merrill might find the invitation. He liked traveling and coming to a new galaxy to explore never know. He might give it his seal of approval for the routes.

Jorus wasn't on the shuttle, but he'd definitely come along at Matsu Ike Matsu Ike 's invitation. He'd ensconced himself in the battlecruiser's hyperdrive engine room with half a dozen custom instruments and was very thoroughly in the engineering crew's way. The Saotome Drive was blisteringly quick even at stock, with a variety of risky settings and options, and there were few better stress tests than a long extragalactic jump.

With one arm still in a cast and sling from an Otherspace incident near Corellia, the old spacer shuffled from rickety instrument to rickety instrument, all arrayed around the battlecruiser's hyperdrive. The route had been interesting, one long well-calibrated sub-hyperspace jump assisted by Coren Starchaser Coren Starchaser , but the drive, and how well it had taken the stress, were of much greater interest today. The planet was a distant third. Peridea schmeridea.

Ulic listened more intently and heard what sounded like stringed instruments, drums, and the meowing of cats..

That was not what he heard before.

It probably was nothing..”

He leaned back in his seat, his mind fixating on that haunting flute he had heard earlier. It played inside his heart, and he wonderer if it portended something. Grandmaster Matsu Ike Matsu Ike seemed to be aware of it, naming it “call in the Force.” What call was this he wondered? Was it because he had at last embraced his linage? The Jedi held his index and middle finger to his temple as he ponder this. The Force worked in mysterious ways, and now to hear music was definitely in that spectrum.

The Choushin Biot was on the ship... or she was the ship in theory... she was connected to it and able to be a living avatar able to be interacted with as the Aterno System with the doorway shifting. JOrus was checking the Saotome Drive for the ship which was what brought some attention from the ship itself. "Do you require assistance Master Merrill?" The biot standing there with the purple hair as it spoke offering a neutral expression but the ships wall shifted around and behind it to reform. She walked the distance. "Our ship systems are available to specifications upon request. Master Matsu has flagged you as an expert authority in design."

Meanwhile the jedi grandmaster was looking at the younger jedi when they were arriving and she nodded... she could hear it still... she could always hear Zak Dymo's music... even a galaxy away. SHe looked at him and shook her head while bowing. "It will be alright though. Just breathe and enjoy yourself." She said it and was walking out of the shuttle to look at the other jedi who were around. Offering a bow. "THank you for having us for this." She said it and Tychus Qel-Droma stood in front of her and towered over the jedi master even though she radiated her own presence. "It is always good to see you grandmaster, we've begun setting up the supplies for the trip. It shouldn't be too long."

The Son of Kun took a deep breath as he joined The Grand Master to meet a living descendant of Qel Droma, there was a flash in his mind of a long dark haired warrior in shadow armor who struck with a double bladed blue saber, and a man in blue nas coral and gold pauldrons blocking the blade with a yellow green blade on a battlefield:

33740b07e04edf24453c4b174e4924ff.jpg

This vision was of something long since passed, the blood of Kun carrying the history of it to Ulic’s mind upon seeing Tychus Qel-Droma. This stir made The Jedi hestiate, he felt it, the chill of Bogan beginning to swirl.

No.. I am not my ancestor, I am a Jedi.. I am not my ancestor.”

Ulic Indominus Kun gripped his fists and called go Ashla.

Save me, I am yours..

The chill recoiled, and the heat of the sun could be felt on his face, he remained in that state for a moment, he then tried to decide if he should risk greeting Tychus. To nor do so would be rude, so he approached Master Qel Droma.

Greetings Master Droma.

The Young Jedi tried to control the rush of emotions inside. The problem is all Force Sensitives could discern strong feelings, ao all attempts at putting on a stoic facade was futile.

The older man looked at the jedi and bowed. "Greetings and welcome." He said it and looked at the boy while leading the way. To show areas of the island as they had carved and built parts of the temple. "While we wait for a few things to be loaded, I know this is not the first time here for you master jedi... but we'll show it to your party. Give them an idea the legacy they are a part of." Matsu nodded and the path was winding up as a citadel extended from the edge of the mountain. Several jedi were there and Matsu had seen it, they were meticulous in their care. THe citadel doors opening to show a room with a central lift several feet away from the wall.

Giving a full view of carved boxes made of stone. Inlaid with kyber script as the crystals glowed in the presence of the lightside. "This is the bloodlines, legacies and dynasties we have been able to chart and preserve. Child of hundreds of jedi across the years, some reaching back much longer through searching and research. Dangerous in the wrong hands but made to be a record for others." He looked at it and the names stretching up branched and divided. Some many times.. others being cut off... and some stretching down further and further towards the bottom of the citadel or further up to the top.

Ulic was taken by the Cotdel, and walls of bloodlines, he saw Ulic Qel Droma, and next to it Exar-Kun with no next of kin, he placed his gloved hand on it. He almost wanted to amend the wall, but he feared that the Descendants of Sunrider, Qel Droma, and etc would see him as a threat and perhaps stain the bloodline mural with his blood.

The truth is Ulic was ashamed of his heritage. He was the Seed of Darkness, and adultery. Nayami had been Jedi Jolee Bindo’s Wife before she turned to the dark side and became part of Kun’s entourage, eventually becoming his secret lover. Most of those who knew His Ancestor’s Legend pictured a titan of great power who was solely devoted to the darkness. The idea he had a family of sorts would not fit with most of sensibilities of Jedi, easier to demonize a dark lord who had no love in his heart, than one who was a father and had a mistress. This side of Kun had been hidden, perhaps even by Jedi who preferred to use him as a parable of the perils of learning about the dark side.

She looked at it, allowing herself to take it all in. There was a lot more to it and she looked down into the depths were some of the names were being added and in other places... no completely matter of it but the dates were there and more so as branches intercected and crossed or combined to show what the altisians were doing... they were fostering stronger bloodlines of force sensitives and bringing in some cases the dynasties together to form legacies. She looked at the one jedi Ulic and walked over taking it all in. "It is quite a sight and well all names go up there... for the ones who go good and the ones who go bad... or worse. A jedi is a jedi even when they have fallen and information is powerful in some cases."

Ulic turned to Matsu Ike Matsu Ike and asked, “Could I request additions? Provide them with what I know of my bloodline?”

The Jedi was thrilled that not only the good genealogies had been perseved, for he believed that both served The Force, one to show the galaxy the danger of the dark and how living for the Light is the only path of you value love, compassion, truth, and justice.

Ulic looked at the other bloodliens, he saw Noomi Sunrider and Vima Sunrider who he recognized, as well as Ulic Wel Droma and his Brother Cay. He was pleased to see Aleema Keto mentioned, Ulic’s Mistress as a Sith Lord l, much like Nayami Bindo was Exar-Kun’s mistresss. Ulic had avoided romantic entanglements, at first it was due to duty, that he spent his time in ssrvice of the Jedi. Now that his memory of being a Kun was restored, he feared love, that begetting a child could mean offering to the galaxy someone worse than Exar-Kun. So he deprived himself of affection, fearing that it would lead to a new dark lord or lady. It might seem irrational to some, but Ulic cared too much to loose another monsters in the galaxy…

"There is always room." The man said it from behind and offered a small chuckle... mostly because he was focused on it and looking over parts of the wall. "We inscribe the name of every jedi, every family. No special treatment just the fact that they lived and if they have fallen we still keep them. They were once brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers." There were other jedi around the room working on names from lists cultivated by the Silver jedi and other temple records that they were able to get access to. "We even use at times the memory crystal to look towards potential jedi children and aadd them when we can... if they can be found and brought to the order. It is a way of preserving the legacies of the jedi." The grandmaster nodded and she spoke pointing for Ulic one finger. "My families goes from the Tho Vor temples that retrieved Atrisians, taking them to tython all the way down to my children. Generations upon generations spreading out." She said it and looked though while there were others. "Some others like Nari or Morrigan or Elizabeth owe to much as well."

Ulic was relieved that he eas not a pariah, that he could share his genealogy with these Record Keepers. He took a piece of paper and wrote his bloodline, from Exar and Nayami as far as he knew and then to himself. He then handed it to Tychus as if to be put in a prayer wall. He thwn bowed his head and cuffed his hands as if wings with fingers as one.

He felt some peace acknowledging his blood, and yet still there linger great fear. How does one escape the shadow of the sins? Are all descendants doomed to be as their forefathers and foremothers? He wanted to believe in free will, that all stemmed from choice but then he recollected all those who seemed to follow in the footsteps of their parents and ancestors. Was it contained in Midi-chlorians themselves? Did they pass these destinies like Force acumen? Ulic pondered all these thoughts to himself, feeling a warning in his heart. He was working hard to not fall, and yet the more he tried, the stronger the pull to the dark felt.

The jedi master looked at him and bowed as she looked to Tychus. "The ship shoudl be ready now yes?" She asked and he nodded as heading outside to the top of the citadel it allowed one to look out upon the entire mountain itself but there was more for them. Matsu could see it and tychus presented her a sheet of transparent film. "Our latest translations of the writing in the city. We have been working to translate it and it should give you something to read while heading there." She gave a nod as the ship was there with the doors open for them. "Do kind of wish Romi Jade Romi Jade was here... she rather enjoys exploring sometimes." She looked at the paper and was allowing herself the chance to work on it.

"It is said that there once was an ancient emperor who ruled the greatest city in the galaxy. Youthful, strong and desired by all. Considered the emperor of emperor and he gathered the greatest minds not just on Peridea but in the galaxy to him. Sages and mystics; translators and archivists, scribes and soldiers, jedi and sith, paupers and kings.

From the dark world of Korriban the first of the galactic religions. Red skinned and powerful, dangerous sith. The greatest jedi of their age who venerated the remains of their masters and the will of the force and of course the wisest of the bendu who blessed Peridea. Revealing the greatest secrets to him. The witches of the Dathomiri with their nubile forms seducing all, the zeffo who argued with the gods themselves even as the father partook of their wine. Thus his kingdom was a kingdom of great wisdom.

There were men and women from across the galaxy brought to him. From all lands of Peridea faithful and heretic. With skins white as the snow in the north, colored like the sands of the great desert worlds, as brown as mountains in the evening or yellow as sulfur smoke. Purples and pinks, black as obsidian and even covered in fur and scales. Thus his great kingdom was a capital of exotic pleasures across the galaxy beloved by all.

There were force users whose blindness allowed them to interpret the future from the world for him, alchemists from the sith with their long robes full of mysteries and secrets, force wielders who knew the secrets of gods, men and the universe and then there were poets and those of the most refined taste. Marvelous mechanical wonders that couterfeited life. Animals that spoke like men, men with faces and heads of animals. This his Kingdom was a kingdom of wonders.

Those were the days of wonder when Rashiri was a wise emperor, when he sat in judgement and his sages marveled at the sagacity of his verdicts. Under him the Kingdom of Typho prospered and blossomed.... but Rashiri was troubled in his soul.... and at these times when the darkness would descend upon his browhe would venture at night into the streets of his kingdom. Taking only with him his friend and advisor, taking only his lover and executioner. Dressed as merchants from the furthest lands they would talk for the gods did not watch the common men and women only Reshiri. THey would travel around sampling delights and wares. Rewarding those of virtue and character and entertaining themselves with the casting down of the wicked and corrupt. In this way they encountered tales even stranger then their own.

It was in this manner that he elevated a beggar to emperor for a day. So overindulgent in his greed he failed to understand the weight of his position as a blade pierced the back of his neck that had been suspended above on a thread. So was it that when one man was killed in seeking justice eight proclaimed their guilt only for it to be discovered the man had choked on a piece of fruit. And it was in Typho, empire of empire, city of cities that they bore witness to the great Extinction that cast the skies in shades of colors no one had seen since the dawn of the universe and birth of Typho.... but still the emperor was troubled.

So it came that on the day the gods willed it. He Rashiri, defender of the greatest city and empire. Stood on his balcony able to see as far as the eye can see his city. Towers of gold spread out below him. Streets lined with stalls from the market selling meats, and sweetstuffs, rare spices, anointed oils. The birds sang more sweetly from his mere presence. He could see a caravan of white and silver metal bringing more trade from the furthest corners of the galaxy here. Exotics from mena dn women, to animals and bolts of cloth. Surrounding himself with kohl eyed dancers, adorned with veils and diamonds or rubies. There were ships leaving laden with grains and spices to take and trade, he could hear the distance sound of craftsmen as they went to work or porters calling out.

This was the jewel of all empires, the city of cities..... but still he was troubled and even his empress could not sooth him.

HIs closest advisor coming to offer walking the city, seeking a young noble under enchantment or dancing girls or even madmen speaking of ghosts and monsters.... but the food would not fill and the drink would not satisfy... and so his friend left and the emperor was left on the balcony overlooking his city. Until day turned to dusk and then to night and the fires of the towers cast the city into a a reflection of the sky. Blackness with a sea of a million stars. He was joined by the palaces greatest poet. ONe of the concubines who survived being put to death with her tales of the galaxy that never seemed to end. The emperor had no time for her pretty words and only asked if there had ever been a city like his city... an empire like his empire or a people. WIth a heavy head she spoke telling the emperor no.

She spoke of how ambassadors and rulers come there from all corners of the galaxy. To see this wonder, this miracle and they return to their worlds, their people saying that they have seen the perfect city. There can be none other like it and they are then dissatisfied with their own worlds and kingdoms for they now knew that nothing would be able to compare to the jewel that was Typho, city of cities nor to its emperor. He would send her away and continue to stare down at the city. It was then the emperor took from around his neck a silver key and began descending the staris of his palace. He passed the rooms of his concubines where no man or woman save himself was permitted. Further down to the places of justice where those awaited his mercy... and still further down where those whose his mercy had forgotten faces pale and covered in hair.

Still he went further down until he came to a door of black metal that absorbed all light. Monolithic in size and he opened it with the key... and went down further. Deeper and deeper until the steps became narrow, the air hot and swirling with voices, with faces of those he had loved, those he had killed. A woman from Eshan with hair spun of silver and pale features, a child who had brought from a world a crystal flower... the captain of his guards who aside from himself was the finest with swords and bow and spear... but he paid them no mind. Going down further and further. Until he came to a door of bronze inlaid with pearls and banded with gold. He used the silver key to open it and inside he went into the dark and further down still. He closed his eyes and counted steps, half steps and turns and right in his head.

The next door was wooden and this was able to be opened with the silver key. As he entered torches flared, his eyes stung and the glittering of diamonds, rubies, crystals and a thousand other gemstones from around his empire shined. Emeralds and sapphires, amethysts and pearls were piled in heaps so large within the cavern they were perhaps uncountable. There came rooms next, one filled with countless blades forged of the force, hilts of swords that contained the light of the force, another room filled with bottles of jade and gold. Filled with the sounds of spirits who would serve their master when he released them... and another room of nothing but eggs from a million million creatures around the galaxies themself. Eggs of all shapes and sizes from ones as big as a thumb pad to ones as big as a starship or even a planet.

Made by beings that nested on mountains so large no one could scale or in places of the galaxy no one could reach. There was also two eggs down there, one white and one black. Born from the light of the daughters pet bird... the white one containing owl.. the other containing something no one knew or had seen. Rashiri passed through these chambers and rooms, his gaze not faltering from one side or the other. FOr hours it seemed he walked, for days eventually until through the cave of riches he came to a door of blue fire and this too he opened with the silver key. The blackness of the room was the first thing... and the second was the only object within it. A glass ball filled with swirling mists and a seal. The emperor took it and carried it with great care.

He took the paths through the palace that no one knew about but he himself. The ones who had drawn up the palace and made it for him all buried with it. IT wasn't healthy to know the secrets of an emperor. He went up the tallest tower of the palace. Rising up and up as the moon rose with him and he carried the glass ball in his hands. Reaching out only when he came to the top of the steps to touch the stone wall... and it would swing aside for him alone. He stepped out onto the top of the tower... looking out across the stars in the sky and the light below... like a thousand thousand fireflies of all shapes and colors. The rivers and skies were still filled with even more showing their lights as the night sky of the world rose. The emperor spoke softly as he held the glass ball in his grip.

He spoke to he who is beyond the veil... the one who oversaw all of them and commanded the will of the universe. Demanding it come to him in a form that would be neither threatening nor displeasing to his eyes.... but there was no one around save the whisper of the wind and the call of the birds in the night. With a shiver he held the glass ball threatening to open it and release the nine hundred and ninety nine thousand evil spirits that had been captured by the previous emperor to bring their world into this golden age. He would unleash them.. she would condemn all if he did not show himself. That was nearly ten thousand years before and over that time each soul had become more twisted, more evil and vowed to wreck vengeance upon all of the galaxy destroying their lives.

As he tossed the glass bal and expected it to shatter... expected the spiritrs to be release it was there suspended. THe visage of a man holding it as he demanded to know why he was being summoned as one might summon a steward. They were no steward and an emperor was as important to them as an ant. The emperor tried to equate this to a story from their mystics of a bottle being fished out of a river. Filled with one of the force beings that could grant a boon... the being looked at him and advised that he was not such a being... and to not summon that which you have no way to dismiss. The emperor debated this... asking to make a bargain as it were.. he wanted to deal with the being who reminded him the palace of the ruler was not the marketplace where such things were done.

They moved it to the marketplace... the emperor and the being whom made the ball of glass disappear into the stars. As the sun rose the city started to come to life and the stood in the marketplace. The emperor holding his hands out to the being. Proclaiming the greatness of his city and could it not be like that always. The days of wonder and marvel were upon them and it would last a thousand generations. The being after traveling through the markets... seeing stalls of slaves, meats, fruits and riches all compared. He called it remarkable and a land as the emperor would add of miracles... then asked the being to buy it from him to bargain. Not wanting to be the ruler of a mortal land... of a place of flesh and faiths... the emperor explained. It was not to rule it was because.

THe gods had seen fit to bless them... to see wonders developed and the kingdom grow. THis was the perfect age but how long would it last, how long will people remember it. Citing the odler civilizations in the galaxy that had come and gone long before. How long before they were like others in the galaxy, rocks and old walls, statues in empty forests and wastes. Then the wind comes and sweeps even that away to make way for a new age, a new kingdom. He Rashiri of the Great Galaxy spanning kingdom of Peridea would bargain it here at the height of its greatness to be taken somewhere else. Into the dreams of its people so that it would always be perfect. THe being seemed to think about it and looked at him agreeing that he could do it in a fashion... but he emperor would have to tell his people.

It was no great quest, no great spell of sorcery or a price to be paid. He had all of the riches, he had all of the servants. NO blood sacrifice, no grand gesture. His was the vision of the city, his was the one to whom the others followed and served. he would have to tell them so that they would have a chance should they wish it to go. THe emperor addressed his people form the balcony.. the entire city... told them that as long as they lived, as long as they remembered this great kingdom would never die, never perish or be forgotten. Then it was gone.. the emperor in his market place... stalls filled with the smells of food and slaves. Thousands moving around but their outfits different, muted colors. As he walked he spied a man holding a large bottle in his hands and moving around.

Inside the bottle was the most beautiful city, carved and crafted with great care. SMall in size but the detail of so much of it could not be believed. He asked if it was for sale, such an oddity would bring envy around his small palace... but he was told that it wasn't. Solemn he returned to the building with his guard and the stranger left.."

THe grandmaster was reading it and allowing herself a moment she raised an eyebrow as they were raveling. Nodding. "Good myth."

Grandmaster Matsu Ike Matsu Ike was occupied with a scroll, and so the Jedi made his way to an area that overlooked the waters, they lapped at this isolated temple on Peridea. He crossed his arms in his brown robe with the vibrant corals, Blues, and Golds of his clothes beneath. He was wondering what this exploration would uncover, they were another galaxy than the one he knew, what uncharted worlds awaited? What dangers? He had to admit it was beginning to disperse his earlier gloom, though he felt a warning in his heart. Something elusive portended that his place in this grand story was changing. His awakening to his true identity had been traumatic. The Council’s decision to put him on this expedition might have more been to protect their galaxy than offer him a chance to heal. For the mist part Ulic was feeling that his heart was straying from the Path. He had lapsed, given into the dark side on the cursed Sith planet and the hope was getting him far away would help his old Jedi resolve return. While he admitted Matsu was a great help in this, he felt it deep down, that gnawing of the shadow that had awoken inside him. He knew that to bury it for long was futile, and that in time he would have to face this call to the dark. The question was would he succeed? His blood pulsed with His Ancestor’s nature. Matsu had said Kun was once a Great Jedi and so there was possibility he could tap into that side of his nature. That his fate was not sealed for a fall. Though in truth Ulic felt like this was wishful thinking and that it was perhaps only a matter of time before the Darkness claimed him as a son.

The trip to the city was mostly uneventful. As she looked over it from the viewport the shuttle circled and it was massive. Stretching from one end of a canyon to another. Thousands of spires and arches that wove into streets. Statues at the entrances of its massive walls and they came down on one of the walls to give all of the jedi who were there a view of it. Sandswept and still gleaming in the light. THe jedi master stepping out while she looked over some more of it. Their seeker drones going out and providing display maps for them to be able to use with their interfaces as she checked the padawans who were around. "Good, you all have interfaces and maps. With a chrono of when to return, it will be able to tell you when and directions to get back to me here. Go and explore." She offered a smile while checking it and the drones would alter to creatures but she would also be able to check on some parts herself rising up into the air as she move to one of the larger spirers.

Ulic set foot on to the dusty earth and made his way beneath the arches of an entrance to the city, the great statues pointed outward at all sides of Great City:

IMG_8469.jpg

The Great Bearded Statue was ominious, its hollowed out eyes fixing in The Seed of Kun, he even felt its hewn rock face moved to grimace. Weirded out he headed further into the city, the qaurter he entered was quiet, eerily so. He came to fountain on a wall with grotesque heads pouring water in great brass colored vat. A wam in scsrlet had a jar and was filling it, she wore a head scarf and Had wrapped her mouth. Her eyes were red as apples, as she filled her jug. The Jedi tried not to disturb her when she turned, her fiery eyes fixed on him. No words were said at first when suddenly she dropped the jar in the water and raising up a three forked weapon, a Sai, she struck Ulic in the abdomen and then pulling another twin weapon smacked him across the cheek making him fall to the ground. The Jedi laid there in the Golden City street befuddled, what crime had he comitted to deserve such a cruel welcome? Then he was housted up by the Sais locking arouhd his neck as he was pressed against a stone wall,

She pulled down her face covering and head wrap fell to the ground:

“What is a Jedi doing in this side of the Holy City?! Speak or I will bite off your eyes and you will roam through life blind!”

Ulic was startled by the beauty and viciousness of this Lady, at the notion of her removing his eyes with her teeth he gave a perplexed expression.

Instinctively This Sai Wielding Lady’s mouth shifted from scarlet lips to a wide set of serated sharp teeth:

F7F497BC-A004-44B4-9540-A3C2C368D8C1.jpg

Her tongue like a tendril coming out.

“Speak Jedi! I am the Offspring of The Queen of Stars herself! Answer me!”

The Rattled Jedi paused, that title, “Queen of Stars,” was familar from his studies at temple.

“You.. you.. are a Daughter of Abeloth?!”

The lady pushed the Sais against his throat harder.

“Do not speak her name! It is forbid to men! Now tell me why you have violated the Sacred Fount and this place with luminous and stinking presence?!”

Ulic raised his hands up and called the jug to back of her head, she broke from holding him to do sometsault and lick the jar aside, when Ulic ignited his yellow blade and swung, she vatching the blade between the shorter guards, the blade crackling against a metal that did not burn.

Ulic quipped, “Dank those Mandalorians and their cursed Beskar!”

The Warrior Lady smirled with those big fangs and swept her feet in a roynd house, the soles of her shoes had stone like metal that sparked as they met his saber, she kept at her flurry, making The Jedi retreat into the streets. He was now in a Souk where stairs of stone went down past shops and houses closed. He looked around and then as he took another step, a red rope in a nose grabbed under his chin and hoisted him up to the rooftops of golden stone work, where he now was throw into some drying linens of white, red, and yellows. Tearing through one with his Sai, The Seed of Abeloth charged as she did a corkscrew spin in mid air, her twin blades coming together to meet his saber and knock him over a hall wall and on to his back, she then leapt over and stomped on hus chest her her cloth covered feet, and bent both knees as grasshopper to place the Sais and their elogated middle points at his neck.

“Answer me Jedi! Answer me! Or I shall pluck your tongue from your mouth and you shall never speak again!”

Her threats would have seemed outlandish if not for her skills, and tenacity. Ulic decided to level with her.

“I am on exploratory expedition, and I happened to wander into your quarter. I meant no disrespect, I had no idea it was sacred.”

She licked her long smile of sharp teeth and replied,

“Because you have tainted the Waters of Argula, you must be gilded as it the punishment decreed by Nar Duwin.”

She then inched the tip of her blade down his chest heading lower to his belt,

“Wait! Surly your law affords some mercy for mistakes!”

She stopped her blade at a ppuch at the navel.

“There are no mistakes Jedi.. you must pay for your defilement!”

Ulic shouted,

“Wait!”

She raised the pummel and then took it back to his fsce and hit him on the noggin.

“Hahaha! You Foreigners are so gullible! You should see your face!”

She rose up off him and sheathed her twin Sais in her cloth linen belt.

Ulic was in shock, he raised up and trembled a lotr from the prospect of what might have transpired.

“So you were just messing with me?!”

She turned and gave a sarcastic smile with those teeth.

“Well you asked for it.”

The Jedi blinked in confusion.

“I asked for nothing!”

She looked at him with those amber eyes, drawing closer which made Ulic step bacl instinctively.

“You were ogling me at the fountain and so you had fo pay for that.”

The Jedi was even more bewildered as he protested,
“I did nothing of the sort! I am a Jedi!”

The Lady smirked as her great smile razor teeth receded to scarlet lips.

“Once upon a time that might have worked as a defense, but you Jedi removed that no ogling rule, you have more babies than most these days, increasing your reserves for those wars.”

Ulic began to sweat, she was well informed and had a capacity to unnerve him anytime she opened her mouth and not because of the monsterous teeth she bore esrlier.

“My name is Tania Loth, and what I told you my my family is true. I am her daughter.”

Ulic took a breath as he clipped his saber hilt to his belt.

“I am Ulic Indominus Kun.”

She tilted her head,

“Kun as in Exar-Kun?”

Ulic nodded which illicited a great smile from her as she replied,
“Oh interesting! Maybe it was fate that the Seed of the Queen of Stars and The Great Dark Lord should meet.”

Exploration of the city was beautiful... it had everything that was needed here for the others in the group. She moved up ,and towards one of the towers overlooking everything with a case of drones for herself. Carrying it as the jedi master floated herself up to the top and opened the case as the mapping drones activated. THey were going about many of the things here and she breathed in expanding her senses in the force. Allowing them to go outwards as she tried to imagine this city in its prime. She was looking up at the sky and the large ring of bones and dust... the sun in the distance and as it went across the city that seemed to stretch out for kilometers in all directions. She could barely see the entrance where they had flown over it while the drones were mapping out other sections of it.

Tania lead the way further into the main City which had some vendor in Souk selling vibrant red ans purple carpets, lanterns, and spices in pyramids of orange, yellow, green, and white. Tania was approached by an old man that handed her a scroll, Ulic observed, he was not sure what the next move was. Matsu Ike Matsu Ike had told him and others to explore and now he was following this purported Daughter of Chaos. He crossed his arms as she read the scroll and then turned to him.

“Another local carvan was attacked. They found tha corpses with caved in heads and skulls. They said a Demon, he is called The Rakzuul, is behind this.”

Tania fingered her Sais, her eyes looking in the distance.

“It must be stopped! Jedi will you help? It is said your lond protect the helpless, well these people are helpless before this devil!”

Ulic shifted in his stance, and replied,

“As a Knight I am obligated to help. Though a demon.. I am not sure The Force has answers for such a being, still I am willing to try.”

Tania gave a slight smile,

“Alright.. we shall head to Pilgrim’s Pass, that was the last sign of where it attacked.”

The Shinobi Woman began sprinting, leaping around srch ways and paths to an outer gate. Ulic followed, using The Force to speed his steps to try and keep up, she was quick, and when they reached the mighty Eastern Gate, she paused as people carried victims on stretcheds and women in full head coverings wailed and threw up dust over themselves as men were laid to rest with crushed foreheada and bleeding ears. Ulic inspected these corpses and looked at the ears carefully, it looked like something had entered the hole, and brain matter residue was found.

Tania leaned next to him,

“What do you make of it Jedi?”

Ulic wiped the brain matter off his glove and looked at her,

“I have no idea.. Its not anything I have encountered before. But it looks like whatever it was drew the brains out of the ear lope..”

Tania sighed,

“Then I guess we better get to The Pass ans hope we find The Demon before it feeds on more victims.”

Ulic nodded as he joined Tania, they came to canyon, where there was not a bird or creature stirring, the deafening quiet was alarming. Ulic unclipped his lightsaber hilt, Tania took her two Beskar Sais on hand.

There was bloodcurlding growl, which made Ulic snap his yellow jasper blade to life, his eyes darting back and forth, scanning the canyon corners, Tania did the same, when another growl gave answer. Suddenly a great pile of rocks rolled over the top edge of the canton down into the trail they were on, great boulders, some the size of Ulic himself and other small ones fell, he liftsd his hand to try and redirect some, the larger one he stopped briefly and said to Tania,

“Get clear!”

Tania somersaulted as the great boulder fell and more began to rain, prompting The Jedi Knight to run dodging the three feet sized ones, when one struck him on the head and he fell on one knee, his vision blurring, his head ringing as he saw Tania in full flight. He tried to muster himself back to his feet when two more struck his shoulders, and he fell on his face, dropping his lightsaber that deactivated.

Tania was free of the debris when she turned to see The Jedi was no longer with her. She doubled back in a sprint and found he was nowhere to be found, only some blood and rock where he had last been.

SHe felt it in the distance.. there was something happening as the jedi master remained there on the roof of the tower and looked outwards. Her attention on more of the city as she debated what was the best course of action.. so far there was nothing in the immediate area that threatened them so far. Ulic the new jedi as over there and that was part of why she was sensing it... but she also wouldn't be able to leave the padawans alone. THey needed to be protected n case of danger while she was moving toward the bottom of the tower and recalling them with the force. "Gather round." She said it while she was looking over them all. "Now there is something happening so we will need to practice danger protocols. All of you stay here and bring out your survival kits. We'll use the shield projectors to secure the areas of the tower."

Tania found a comlink as he followed the trail and a voice was paging, she took it up and replied,

“This is Tania Loth, I was with a Jedi named Ulic Kun! We were attacked! He is missing!”

The comlink gave static back, she was not sure if it got through. She now had two choices, try to find The Jedi on her own or seek out his comrades and come back. The risk of going back to the city was he could die at the hands of whatever was attacking pilgrims. Tania decided that she would search a little longer alone and if notbing turned up, she would seek out The Other Jedi.

Ulic awoke in a cave with light streaming in, his lightsaber removed and his head throbbing, in the shadows he heard the sound of scrapping of rocks, and then quiet.

“You are awake.. wonderful my delicious Stew to be. It has long since I fed on a Force Sensitive.”

Ulic looked up and saw eyes red as blood peering at him.

“All eyes look the same at me.. I suppose it does not bother me anymore, ‘I am what I am.”

Ulic rose on his side,

“What are you? Cough.. if Dinner may ask.”

The Shadowalker chuckled.

“I was like you long ago.. so full of purpose and duty bound. I denied my need for Them.. and in the end they betrayed me.. your Light Dressed Paladins.”

Ulic coughed so more as the Shadow spoke some more,

“But your question was what I am right? Surly you have heard tales.. the monsters that drink the minds of others as soup.. space vampires.. The Azant.. yes, that is what we are..”

Stepping into light was human like figure with long jet black hair, other than the blood eyes there was two long thin tentacles that emerged from his cheeks and motioned like hands.

“When people believe you a devil.., what do they call me the rakzuul? Prayer of destruction.. perhaps I am. Such superstitious people.. they make poor stew. I knew at some point you Do Gooders would arrive.. you cannot resist finding more worlds to enslave to your creed and magic.”

Ulic retorted, “The Force.. its not magic.”

The Azant chuckled.

“Oh right, your refined description of that invisible field that dictates all to the galaxy! Oh I bow to the Jedi’s god!”

His sarcasm was pronounced when he tugged at Ulic’s hair.

“Then I met a different kind of Jedi.. who showed me your god is meant to serve us! To help me feed!”

Ulic looked up,

“Sith!”

The Azant stretched out his hand and shut His Dinner’s Windpipe, causing him to gag and black out.

“Sleep for now my Stew.. I need to stir you some more in the pot of my power a little while longer..”

The sound came over the comlink and the jedi master gave a nod of her head. "Understood." She said it and searching out tot ry and find Ulic wasn't the difficult part. Her senses expanding and she knew how to track and find others from across the galaxy. She moved after the padawans had been secured and went to the top of the tower as she reached out with the force and breathing in she exhaled... the force guiding her thoughts across the city when she was allowing the force around herself as she moved. The universe around her slowing down when she slowed it to the point it was nearly frozen for just a moment. Slowing down and allowing herself to continue to move at a normal speed among it. Her body throwing off high levels of heat to counter the cold when she was moving through it faster then most would be able to see with their eyes. She moved through the city and stopped when she felt it.. that familiar sense of the force. The world returning to normal around her as particles of ice formed in the air from the frozen universe.
