CHRONICLE INFORMATION
Some time after the Galactic Games conclusion, previous Mand'alor, Mia Monroe, partnered with Ijaat Mereel, in one of the bloodiest days in the Mandalorian History. After Ra Viszla's untimely demise, Mia Monroe saw the Mandalorians slip back into old ways. Political bickering between the most influential Clans and Houses left the planet with no Mand'alor and no direction. Even after Vilaz Munin took the mantle, endless raiding and selling their combat skills to the Galaxy seemed to not be bringing the credits needed to sustain the economic boom they had seen during the Sith-Mandalorian war.

A slowly stabilizing economy, seen as a downturn by many, and an atrophying military after a string of difficult battles pushed the woman to action. With only the leader of House Mereel to confide in, she exposed her woes to the Alor. A plan was hatched between the two to raze Mandalore. The pair saw their actions as a way to jump start the Mandalorian people and held true to their beliefs even long after the event.

The pair sent several large seismic charges down the shaft of a dormant volcano. The charges destabilized the planet's core and set off a chain reaction across the planet. Tectonic plates shifted heavily, submarine and land based volcanoes erupted, and earthquakes rocked the planet which sent tsunamis crashing into coastal cities and settlements. The planet was sent into chaos. Volcanic ash set forests thousands of miles away ablaze and burnt millions of acres of forest to the ground. Entire cities were submerged by the ocean and new mountains and lakes were formed over the months that the planet began to re-stabilize.

The event killed over a billion Mandalorians with millions still unable to be found in the ash piles, rubble, flooding, and rock slides. The event rocked Mandalore to its core and saw the near extinction of half of Mandalore's native species and the full extinction of several million species of plants and animals. The Mandalorians that remained quickly left the planet's surface, though not all Mandalorians could escape the planet. Luckily, after the First Mandalorian Excision, perpetrated by Ancient Republic forces, large portions of the planet became inhospitable outside of large, sturdy biodomes. These cities, such as Sundari and Padelfia (along with other as of yet named cities) became havens for those left behind as they were able to survive much of the extreme temperatures and weren't affected at all by the ash. These cities became crucial to the relief effort and were also the catalysts for the Mandalorian Refugee Crisis.

After the Excision, Mandalorians scattered to the wind. Many fled to established Mandalorian Colonies like those in the Roche Asteroids and Echoy'la. Much of the surving Mandalorian Military left the system with Mand'alor Vilaz Munin and fled to Dxun where they hoped to establish and start relief efforts from. The population of Mandalore's habitable moons also increased substantially as refugees from Mandalore began flooding the planets' starports. Notably, the Mandalorians nearly refused aid from the Silver Jedi, nearly firing on their relief ships mere hours after the event. Clan Rekali, a well respected, but mysterious clan, vouched for them and the Silver Jedi were able to begin relief efforts on the planet.

It wouldn't be until the Seven Day War that the Mandalorian returned to the planet. Death Watch, under command of a resurrected Ra Viszla would see oversee the terraforming and ecological clean-up of the planet. It is a miracle that the planet bounced back as quick as it did, though its recent economic bounce back is attributed to the large amounts of beskar the seismic activities brought to bear and the success of large beskar mines such as the Or'dinii Mining Complex. Tremors still occasionally rock the planet's continents and oceans which has made traditional mining difficult and coastal living nigh impossible but the planet for the most part has begun to recover.

Events are always tricky to make interesting, because you need to keep a very neutral outlook and it can be a very tough thing to balance.

This submission does just that. I am impressed with the even-handed description, especially considering the events were so contentious when they happened.

Nice job and enjoy!
