"The contract for the construction of the temple was given to IGR for nearly 30 million credits so we will roll with that number"

"So da temple issa worth 30 million. Are there-sa other risks, like potential for natural disasters, military risks?"

That's going to be a somewhat expensive insurance bill, knowing that all-inclusive insurance policies are usually among the most expensive coverage one could get, even though it allowed the greatest range of threats to be insured against. The Gungan chuckled, knowing that the actuary he could call in would have to approve the resulting insurance policy and sign it, according to local regulations. He could always transmit that set of specifications for a company actuary to make a quote based on that, which he did just now.

In another life, he would have likely moved deep into the Viper Club as a component of a raid team or, dating even further back, as a menace that would destroy what he saw fit and leave the rest. But with changes in his focus on life, he found a certain appreciation from fighting and working from afar. It helped to keep his recklessness in check, which often reared it's head in the form of audacious maneuvering that often involved large buildings. Falling from them, scaling them, up or down it didn't really matter. Which was ironic, given his position on top of a large building as the Jedi Master chimed in.

Adjusting the focus of the long distance stun rifle, he sighted in the group that was waiting in the alley. Waiting for the Tunnel Snakes.

Letting out a sigh, he tapped a few keys across his arm pad and answered. In truth, he hadn't really had the opportunity to get to know Trextan. And now, he stood a Jedi Master for the New Jedi Order.

::This is Marshal Sionoma. I'm reading you loud and clear. No clear sign of the target yet.::

He kicked the scouting drone and after syncing it with his hardware, the small vessel took off.

Justicars...|

It completely took him off guard when he got the message that the Justicars were needed...all he could really do was play the transmission over and over again to get his memory working again, to remember why he got into it in the first place. While he was starting to see coincidences as poodoo, it couldn't have been one that he was already here when it came in.

What was he up to, absolutely no damn good. In the humid, dilapidated apartment...he sat on the edge of his bed, engulfed in the dark. The only living source of light illuminated his bare back from the window...surrounding him were numerous clubs.

Suddenly the neon light crept up his back and began to absorb into his face, inch by inch. He turned his head slowly to peer through the window before gathering himself and leaving the room.

--------

It's raining...

It was light though, he exited the complex and immediately looked into gray haze above him.

Hell.

He planned on skipping out. And well...something kept pulling him back. Wasn't the Force was it? Well he'd lost that...

"Well..." he spoke to himself.

Before long he began walking down the street, everyone shielding themselves from the rain...and then there was him.

“Right then, is everyone clear what they are doing?”

The question was answered by a general, positive murmur that rippled around the warehouse.

“So who is priming the detonators?”

“I am.”

The leader of this Tunnel Snake excursion narrowed his eyes incredulously, his brow creasing up.

“Darne, do you have the detonators on your bike?” Jendal asked the man who had spoken up.

“Er, nope.”

“So why would you be priming them?”

“Oh.”

“Who has the detonators?”

There was silences as everyone started looking down at their swoop bikes. Jendal pinched the bridge of his nose and shook his head. He’d once been a stock broker before his spice habit had led him into a life of crime. At least in his old job he’d worked with a better class of morally bankrupt criminal.

“I do!” someone called triumphantly.

“Guy, we just discussed this. Those are the explosives. The detonators are on Krill’s bike because he told me he knows how to set detonators. Do you Krill?”

“Yes boss.”

“Right then, let’s…”

“I don’t want the explosives on my bike,” Chanz interrupted. “Can’t we put them on Krill’s bike so only one person can get blown up?”

“Because the explosives can’t detonate without the detonators. That’s why they’re on separate bikes.”

“Well I dun want to explode either,” Krill said. “Put the detonators with Chanz!” At the suggestion Chanz turned to face Krill and the two made eyes at each other.

“No, no. If we put the detonators with the explosives and they blow up then we all get blown up. Get it?” Jendal asked.

People nodded, but Jendal remained to be convinced. “Right then, if everyone is clear then…”

“I’m not sure I remember how to use the detonators. Now I think about it…” Krill interrupted.

In one smooth motion Jendal drew his blaster. There was a flash. Krill looked down at the neat hole in his chest before collapsing.

Right!” Jendal shouted. I need a volunteer who knows how to use the detonators with the balls to carry them very, very, promptly. And promptly means fast.”

Darne raised his hand to a sigh of relief from the rest of the Tunnel Snakes.

“Does everyone know the plan?” Jendal shouted.

Everyone looked at the blaster and then nodded.

“I won’t shoot anyone who doesn’t know the plan. I will shoot anyone who says they do and then they feth up because they didn’t.”

“I could do with hearing it once more…” Darne spoke on behalf of the group. Everyone was glad of this because they felt that taking the detonators probably elevated him in the mind of their boss.

“From the top then…”

Trextan hunched forwards. The consistent patter of rain was quite loud against his jacket. He brought one hand up to drag his hair back, which had to irritating side effect of sending cool rain water down the back of his neck.

Gabriel Sionoma said:
::This is Marshal Sionoma. I'm reading you loud and clear. No clear sign of the target yet.::
“Understood,” he replied. Gabriel was apparently a friend of Jacen’s. Or at least Trextan picked that up from conversation. Trextan didn’t know much about him, but hopefully he was prepared to move quickly enough to keep the targets in sight once everything kicked off. He caught sight of Rebel in the street. Trextan didn’t understand what had been going on with the other young man, but at this point he was surprised to see him around. “Rebel!” he hissed as loudly as he dared. A resonant whine of multiple swoop engines reached Trextan’s ears. His pulse accelerated a notch.

The Scout Drone puttered out, droplets of rain deflecting from it's matte grey surface. Gabriel leaned against the edge of the building, adjusting the tripod as he pulled the hood over himself. Disappearing in a shimmer with the Phantasm cloak, he looked over the datapad that rested against his forearm.

Just as the program loaded into the reconnaissance drone, the visual feed started running towards the panel on his arm. Given two perspectives, it was obvious that while things were currently quiet, a situation was slowly building.

"All-inclusive issa una thing, but duey additional things needen to be asked"

"What are they?"

"Co-pay and liability"

Usually a higher co-pay tends to decrease the premium while a higher liability coverage would in turn increase the premium. He knew as much but it's not as simple as taking of X credits off a premium if one's co-pay is X+Y rather than just Y (assuming identical liability). No more than having the liability being 2Z would mean that the premium is double that of an insurance policy whose liability coverage is just Z (assuming identical co-pay), with both scenarios freezing the same variables. He awaits the answer of the local official regarding these two items and then the insurance adjuster, or actuary, would be able to provide a quote for the temple's insurance policy.

He heard it, the hum of engines in the distance. Almost so that it made him turn and look in the opposite direction. He'd forget sometimes that he'd hear things before others did or even catch scents...he just had those types of senses. Lost for a moment, he was completely tuned out as he stared back into the mist. The rain hit his face, his eyes were at a squint.

"Rebel!"

His name...but he didn't remember telling anyone that. His head snapped in the direction of the voice. He stepped forward, facing the man.

"Trex!" at this point the rain was able to slightly drown out their voices. He took another step and stopped before he could fully commit. Honestly, he wasn't sure what was going to happen. He shook back and forth before he committed to it and when he approached him he caught the voice signal referring to several bikes approaching.

So that's what he heard? He could tell Trex heard it too...

"I...uhh...hey"

He peaked back out from the alley, noting that the group was soon approaching. "Tunnel Snakes..."

[member="Gabriel Sionoma"] [member="Rebel Sunka"]

Trextan flicked two switches on the body of the swoop bike in front of him and it thrummed. He kept his grip tight on the handlebars knowing that when he engaged the engines with the flick of his left foot it would accelerate out of the alley. The sound of the Tunnel Snakes grew louder. This was a bold, brash raid. The target was a bank just a block away. Guarded and with reinforced walls. Trextan hoped they were bringing cutting equipment rather than explosives.

"Hey," Trextan replied. It felt a rather weak response but his mind was already adjusting to a tight focus on the matter at hand. "Yes, Tunnel Snakes...Look grab a bike, give any help you can and it will be appreciated. But we've got to go. We'll talk. After." The young Justicar wasn't a particularly vocal individual at the best of times and awkward situations weren't something he could talk his way through easily. The doppler-shifted sound of the approaching bikes reached a peak.

Blue streaks passed the alleyway overhead and through the street. There were cries of fear, figures rushing through the downpour to find shelter.

"We go!" Trextan called out. A lift of his foot, a twist of the throttle and he was heading out of the alley.

[member="Rebel Sunka"] | [member="Trextan Voidstalker"]

"Damn..." He muttered as he lifted his head, the strafe of the lights bypassing the Viper Club and moving in a different direction altogether. He clicked across the data pad as the recon drone queried potential targets. Delivery Service. Government facility. Bank.

"Damn...damn." He yanked up the sniper rifle and activated the telescopic retraction on the barrel and body. Flinging it over his shoulder, he started into a mad dash across the nearby rooftops. One building. Two buildings. Three buildings. After the third, he was back at a hidden swoop bike that he planted in case there was a need for escape.

Changing the directions on the reconnaisance droid, he looked over the map and clicked on the thruster.

::Target is heading Northeast. Local bank. I'm en route overhead.::

The engine cut on and the vehicle blasted off in the proper direction, potentially cutting off the group from an opposing direction.

He scratched the back of his head, yeah it was slightly awkward.

Uhh...

Then suddenly his head snapped up, above them were swoops flying overhead. When the cries ensued his head snapped again towards the streets. His nostrils flared, and the muscles in his face twitched.

Chit...

"Look grab a bike, give any help you can and it will be appreciated. But we've got to go. We'll talk. After."

When he turned around he saw the others were hopping on their bikes. Feth...he hopped on one too. For him the roar of the bike was one of the best things...by time he got situated Trextan had already gave the go. He released his foot, gave the engine a boost and allowed himself to cut through the alley and into the streets.

::Target is heading Northeast. Local bank. I'm en route overhead.::

"Northeast...bank huh? Just what are they planning to do eh?"

His left hand flicked a switch and the flaps in the back flew up, he'd gain more speed while following the targets. Low altitudes were all good and everything until you run into obstacles and well...people. Rebel leaned left and right while clutching the bikes between his legs in order to maneuver himself around cowering civilians.

"They got turbos!" He yelled over at the others, no successful gang would go without them. Chasing them down could be a hassle, and he hoped the others could hear his voice over the growls and roar of their engines.

"Five million in liability, 5,000 credits in co-pay"

"Yousa must not forget dat a Force-temple issa an insurance headache, especially if da temple providen medical services"

"How so?"

"Malpractice"

It might be better to have malpractice insurance for the healers stationed there than actual liability coverage in such a case; in his mind, while Force-healers do not get sued more often than NFU healthcare professionals in the same specialties, it is going to be the main source of liability claims for a Jedi temple. Where liability will come into play, however, is when disasters occur to the building; he might have struggled with that sort of items in the past. When selling insurance policies to medical facilities on Sullust, he always had to ask whether the liability part covered malpractice to the adjusters; only malpractice that results in property damage, which, in turn, would cause problems on the plaintiff, would be claimed against the building's insurance liability, rather than the malpractice insurance, unless the courts order otherwise. Malpractice trials are often, in Ugohr's experience, a rather unpleasant experience for insurance staff: he must make that clear in the resulting insurance policy before they can sign it.

"Mesa getten back to yousa momentarily"

[member="Gabriel Sionoma"] [member="Rebel Sunka"]

"Boss, did you call in reinforcements?" The Tunnel Snakes has a basic radio network so they could talk over the noise of engines in their way.

"No. Careful what you say over the radios. If this is a proper sting they might be tapping in." Jendal replied. "Right. Plan Ghost."

Silence followed. No one seemed to split away from the group. "Does everyone remember plan Ghost?"

"I do," replied Ghenn.

"Right, take the two nearest bikes. Not Darne or Chanz."

"Got it!"

Three bikes split away from the main group to try and distract Gabriel on his intercept route and try and draw away some of the pursuit.

Trextan had his eyes on a target. "Give it everything you have!" Trextan replied. "Get some altitude!" He pulled back on the controls and drew the swoop up. He lost some lateral ground on his target but got a better view of the situation. It was immediately apparent that they knew how to ride. But Trextan had no qualms about cheating with the Force.

"Look for the leader!" He called. The had all studied his face. "We need to get them away from civilians and try and isolate him."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1UdTvLoUSY

He cut the throttle hard on the swoop bike. Hitting the edge of a building, it cut down and landed in the thoroughfare. He watched as three moved away and split through the alleyways. He hit a turn and cut left, bikes burning duracrete behind him and peppering a building with blaster fire.

::Three are engaging me to your North. Gonna try and shake them. Don't wait up.::

Pulling the dissuader from his hip holster, he waited for the opportune time. Which, in this case, was the point where the street wasn't turning for at least 300 meters. Taking a hard right turn around another building, he got his shot. Locking the steering column, he turned and held the gun level. Well, as level as one could hold it given that he was riding a swoop bike at high velocity. Just as they round the corner, he fired three shots.

Two lodged in the engine of one of the swoop bikes, the other hit the repulsor on another. They cut hard and ricocheted off one another, petering into nearby street lamps and parked vehicles. Through the debris, the third accelerated and quickly caught up to the Marshal. Jumping from his bike, the Tunnel Snake caught the tail end of the bike. Latching on with one hand, he bounced across the duracrete as Gabe powered forward. Just when he might climb his way to the passenger seat, Gabe turned around and released a force push that knocked the figure from his bike and sent him rolling through the thoroughfare.

Readjusting and holstering the pistol, he turned the throttle and cut in to try and meet up with Trextan and his crew.

[member="Trextan Voidstalker"] | [member="Gabriel Sionoma"]

"Just like a few years back..." he spoke under his breath, he cracked his neck on both side.

Of course its been a minute since he'd seen Trex but hell this reminded him of Coruscant from years back. Swoop gangs brought them together he supposed. He chuckled to himself.

What happened...

"Well..."

He pushed it into gear. Knocking the throttle, his engine roared and propelled him further. Thing about swoops was that they could get up there but would soon prevent you from having full control. He'd risk that. The bike started to rattle, him clutching his legs could only prevent it so much.

Funny thing was he couldn't cheat with the Force...he um just didn't have that right now.

He used one of the obstacles to the side as a ramp, pulling back on the back for a higher altitude only after it was propelled into the air; he wanted that extra boost. Riding along the ledges of the buildings, his deflector shields keep him from ramming too much into the duracrete. From where he was he could guess that the guy leading by a slight margin in front was the leader. He just had that look to him...

Hm...

He pulled back and descended his position would put him on even turf with their targets. The goal was to isolate and drawn them to a different area. Alright. He rammed his bike into one of theirs, and continued to do so in order to get them to go more left.

[member="Gabriel Sionoma"] [member="Rebel Sunka"]

"Boss, they're closing. Only one of them follow the guys who broke off!"

Jendal shook his head. They wouldn't learn to be more subtle over comms a serious alliance sting operation could crack so he had to just accept the risk. "Well that man's funeral. Everyone split and try and converge on the target. If not this job might be a bust!"

"I've got these two!" Trextan called as the Tunnel Snakes continued to break away in smaller groups. "Get that U-Wing in the air and break out the armed enforcers on the ground. Get them out of the area."

The Justicar brought his nose down and accelerated to try and close on his targets. They led him at breakneck speeds into a quiet industrial district. They weaved through several disused buildings. Trextan ducked as they passed through the shattered windows of one and cut through an abandoned factory.

He narrowed his eyes, letting the Force guide his hands as he tried to close the distance. He realised they were doubling back, heading for the populated districts again. They dropped low and wove tight corners.

"Lost visual." He reported. He pushed himself to his limits, feeling his shoulder come within inches of a duracrete pillar. "Got them back in sight!" He added before realising that wasn't quite true.

The Force warned him a second before the second bike appeared in his peripheral vision. It slammed into the front of his swoop dislodged him from the bike. Trextan managed to slow his fall with the Force as he fell fast. It was the difference between life and death but it still hurt like hell when he landed on an airspeeder. The roof gave way beneath him and he heard the glass scattering across the road.

Trextan groaned as he tried to pick himself back up. He heard the pitch of the swoop bikes shift suddenly as they came around.

"Disen insurance plan will cost yousa 10,000 credits per standard month" he told the local officials after the answer of the actuary returned.

Actually the local authorities will get off pretty good by the standards of institutional property. Usually people needed to plan for 0.5-1% of the construction value in yearly insurance premiums, depending on the co-pay and the liability. Roughly as much as common property tax rates in the residential cases, in commercial or industrial cases it was different. But the local authorities that commissioned the temple couldn't complain. If they accept, Ugohr will have the actuary send him an encrypted, electronic copy of the contract that is the insurance policy for the locals to sign. The Gungan asked whether the local officials have reached an agreement pertaining to the temple's insurance policy, which will come into effect upon completion, while the younglings under his care continued to drill in telekinesis, with some of them also running around under the influence of the Force while they were going from one spot in the would-be temple to tne next.

"Do wesa have an agreement?"

"Yes"

Eyes lifted from the display, shrouded in the beam of lights above as they whizzed by. The screen shifted as the reconnaissance droid took to a more direct form of involvement. Cuing in on whom the Marshal had deemed as the appropriate target, the feed provided a close up view as the swoops moved through the city.

Distracted, Gabe cut hard through the a crosswalk, nearly clipping a pedestrian. Turning forward, he turned and pushed further towards the group of Justicars. Instead, he came upon another group of Tunnel Snakes - split away from the core group. Turning the throttle and pushing his weight forward, the swoop bike whined with intense speed as he came upon them.

Blaster fire kissed the ground as he shifted left, the wake cut to pieces by semi-auto fire. He reached forward and gripped the blaster, mid fire, as he forced it towards the bike riding next to the assailant. The blaster fire sent flames through the engine as the vessel careened off into a local store front. Glass and mannequins scattered everywhere as the sound of burglary alarms echoed in the distance.

Moving towards the remaining Tunnel Snake, Gabe ducked as the figure aimed a metal club towards his head. In one smooth motion, his leg kicked at the tail of the swoop bike. As the nose was displaced, the rider lost balance and wobbled before sticking the tip directly into the duracrete, flipping head over heels across the ground.

The Marshal didn't bother to look back, he couldn't be caught up with consequence. Instead, he raced forward, moving into the ranks to find the main contingent of the gang - and held prevent their initial mission.

The wind picked up by his right ear as he tilted left to avoid a direct punch, he retaliated with his own. He connected but this guy seemed to be able to handle a punch or two before he truly felt it.

Huh?

Rebels eyebrow rose in awe, seeing as he put some force behind that punch. He was almost certain it'd do more damage than that. Hell, he participated in fight clubs for christ sake! Though when he snapped back into it, he caught jab right between his nose and upper lip.

Ughhh...

Gripping his nose, he felt vibrations against his abdomen and then an electrical shock followed. Stun Baton. The Atrisian shouted in pain but then powered through, with his scream turning into a vicious growl. He leaned left and fell on top of the guy, grabbing him by his neck and pulling the blaster from inside the guys belt before pulling the trigger. He left a few blaster wounds in his stomach before releasing himself his grip.

Unbeknownst to him, when he leaned over his bike did to and so now his was somehow caught and stuck to the Snakes'. His leg was also stuck between both bikes.

"Chit!"

Luckily for the younglings, they were able to stay out of harm's way while practicing Art of Movement, while Ugohr was finishing out a deal with the guys from the local authorities that commissioned the temple. Now that the deal has been accepted, the actuary sends him an encrypted copy for them to sign on a datapad, where the signatures need to be made by both parties prior to printing, and that moment was long overdue. The remainder of the paperwork having been already done, the connections to the utilities being made in due course, all that Ugohr needs to do is to help out others in and around the construction site until such time that his time allotted on Seltos is up and that he has to return back to Sullust. With both signatures in the document, the Gungan could begin to take that load off his mind, while still being reminded of his responsibilities towards the group of younglings he brought in tow.

The sound of broken class falling into the road as Trextan stood up made him wince. He could feel cuts and scraps across his back. Those weren't as painful as the impact of the fall on his joints. His first two steps away from the airspeeder were tentative.

A shake of the head cleared some of his vision. Blurred shapes slowly resolved and he realised the swoop bikes were bearing down on him fast. One of them had a crackling stun baton held out in his left hand.

Trextan backed away slowly, edging to his right. Drawing deep on the Force he prepared his body for what was to come. The bikes came in relatively slow to try and make their mark. As they approached and one Snake wound up for the swing Trextan darted to his left and swung with his right arm.

The phrik prosthetic was almost indestructible, but the rest of him wasn't. The Force bolstered his body as the impact ran through him and into the ground. The swoop bike carried on its way. The rider took Trextan's arm to the chest and almost stopped dead.

Trextan slammed him down into the road. The Snake murmured and rolled over. He was done. The second one slowly arced around, drawing a pistol. His target had moved so quickly he would keep his distance. Trextan activated the shield in his prosthetic and blocked three shots in quick succession. He drew his handcannon with his left and fired. The spread of stun bolts wasn't the most accurate, but they clipped the rider and sent him tumbling to the ground where he writhed and spasmed.

"I'm still with you all. Just," Trextan called into his comm as he tried to appraise which swoop bike was most likely to still be working. "The leader wasn't with me."
