The Sacking of Coruscant

So this was it.

It was something that she hadn't ever been done before. Something bigger. Something that she had never thought she would be a part of.

In the past she had participated in invasions of planets. Ord Mirit, Telti, a few others that she had forgotten or blocked from her memory. Those were big, those were something that could have made a difference had they succeeded. Yet this...This was something entirely different. This was...it was supposed to be a symbol, it was going to be a symbol. It would show that the galaxy was not weak, that good still remained in the galaxy, that people would fight for justice and what was right. That there were still people that would stand and fight against Sith, that there were still people who would not only fight, but would win.

It would inspire hope.

She knew that. It was the only thing that she could think about. This had been months in the making, since the founding of the GA, since their final strike against the Final Order. They had all known it would come, they had all known that it needed to happen. The One Sith were the greatest threat the galaxy had ever seen. Their rampage through the core had seen billions dead, their war against the Republic had seen victory after victory. Their tyranny knew no bounds, their horrors stretched beyond the imagination.

They had to be stopped.

Everyone knew it, and many had attempted it.

The war had been going on for nearly a decade. A decade of fighting, of small steps back, of giant falls in the wrong direction. The Republic had lost planet after planet. Those in the galaxy who would stand against the Sith had failed. The Old Jedi Order, the Guard of the Republic, they had failed. The Sith had won against them, and were winning against them. It was time for something new, it was time for an effort to me made by others, to push against the Sith in more than one direction. That was why they were here, that was why they were finally ready to strike. The Sith had brought war to the galaxy, they had taken Coruscant, Corellia, Kuat, a hundred other worlds. It was time to pay them back, to show them that they were not invincible.

So while the Sith attacked. While their fleets and warriors struck at Contruum, the Galactic Alliance and Silver Sanctum Coalition would strike at Coruscant.

That was why Aela sat within this transport, that was why her and her brethren sat still inside an old freighter. Behind her, falling quietly through the atmosphere of Coruscant were five similar freighters, each filled with Galactic Alliance Soldiers and dozens of Jedi of the New Order. The freighters were all marked legally, truthfully they had been stolen by the New Jedi Order to facilitate this. Each one was registered with a shipping company that operated on Coruscant. They all sat silently, quietly waiting as they pressed through the space around Coruscant and cut through the air. The freighters shook and plummeted through the atmosphere, heading directly towards the surface. Behind them, within the hyperlanes came something else, their distraction, their allies.

"One Minute."

The call went out, and with it came Aela's breath. She shook, her entire body shaking with the stress of what was about to happen. The Freighters split, burning contrails parting as each of the vessels went towards their designated target. Ten seconds passed, twenty, thirty, then suddenly the whole minute seemed to skip forward.

Aela's finger tightened around the small band of rope, and then suddenly the freighter shook as it crashed into the grounds before the Sith Temple on Coruscant. It tore through duracrete, durasteel, and marble as though it were sand, launching rock and dust into the air to create a thick veil of debris. A second passed, five, then ten before a dozen lightsaber ignited within the clouds.

Objectives:
A. Attack the Sith Temple, seize as many Sith Holocrons, Artifacts, and Personnel as possible.
B. Take Down Coruscant's Planetary Defense System
C. Free Prisoners of War from Coruscant's Central Prison
D. Maintain Fleet presence over Coruscant and deal a significant amount of damage to One Sith Defenses and Fleet Assets

 

[Coren Starchaser]

This was where Starchaser shined, truthfully. Yes, he was a navigator, and pilot, but his whole adult existence, from the death of his father until his mind-wipe, and even after that, had been focused. Focused on one single goal: ending the dark side’s reign on the galaxy. Yes, he wasn’t a fan of the Jedi, but really, who was? He was here to help lead the Alliance military against the One Sith, to start ending their reign of absolute control on the galaxy.And this wasn’t from some fair weather harasser, no, this was from a man who had been there, in the trenches alongside Sith, knowing how they fight, and knowing they gain control and power.

He had seen, in recent years, his partner [member="Spark Finn"] kidnapped by one Sith. He’d seen his homeworld fall, a direct result of the Sith occupation. He watched his haven taken over near the Unknown Regions. He had lost a hand to yet another Sith.

It was time to get some payback.

The military commander was in the cockpit of his E-Wing, Power Nine on his hip, Vanguard armor on, strange that he wasn’t in his freighter, but instead creating air support and providing the folks on the ground with much needed cover until the point where he was needed on the ground. The E-Wing was following the freighters down. “Keep your eyes peeled, Tiburons. Squad commanders, designate your targets, weapons free. Give ‘em hell.”

All nine Corellian hells for these Sith bastards.

He knew the rest of the Tiburons would show up, ready to win.

It was time for payback. It had not been easy to get here. It had taken no less than 8 jumps to move from the safe harbour in Mon Calamari, secretly through Republic space and then down into the disputed lands of the old Protectorate. Fortunately it was both territory where many of the crew had served and where many of them had known friends and colleagues. Thus slipping through unoccupied systems with the knowledge of the Republic they were ready.

Standing on the bridge of the Destiny, Admiral Kyrana Gould examined her chrono and nodded to the helm.
“It’s time. Begin reversion. Give the signal to the Alliance. Today is the day we get vengeance.”
She had been there when Coruscant fell. Today would wipe away that stain.

Chevu Visz, Jedi Knight and youngest Marshall of the New Jedi Order, watched almost incredulously as the ground of Coruscant hurtled towards through the freighter’s viewport, growing closer and closer with at seemingly impossible speeds. She couldn’t believe after all the preparation, the training sims, learning Tutaminis with [member="Coren Starchaser"], and fighting the Final Order, that this operation was actually about to happen. Her mind was a flood of emotions which no amount of meditation seemed to calm. As she raised her gaze to Aela Talith, she could see that Talith, too was affected by the brevity of their task ahead.

However fitful her mind was, with tangentially linked images and thoughts racing back and forth, as the unmarked freighter landed, an event that seemed to rock every bone in her body, the Mirialan felt ready, her resolve as unmovable as durasteel.

The galaxy had been pushed. The Galactic Alliance were about to push back. Would they live up to their own expectations? Would she live up to hers? Or Coren’s? Or her dying Sullustan Master’s?

Clad in VT-Jedi Vanguard armor, with BTI WB Heavy Blaster Pistol strapped to her hip, Chevu a ignited her own blade with the others, dark eyes studying the Coruscanti landscape, the spires cutting through the sky like the dark spears of the gods.

May the Force be with them all.

[Jacen Voidstalker]

Voidstalker looked around at his compatriots. Soldiers mingled with Jedi in the manner the Alliance often arranged it's forces. There were so few faces amongst them he recognised. All of the men he had grown to know well in the previous Alliance operations had died during the Final Order assault on the temple.

The lights in the rickety old freighter flickered. Even when on they cast deep shadows, adding to the sombre tone of the group. There was a grim determination on the faces of those around him however. Today was the first day they achieved what they had been working towards. They were bloody the nose of the Sith and pave the way for further operations. The Eyes of the Sith were turned towards the front with the Republic. Whilst the last vestiges of that crumbling organisation were taken apart, the Alliance had been building their strength on the far side of the Galaxy.

This reminded Jacen of a battle long ago, where the Republic had set a trap for pirate forces. He'd been holed up in a registered freighter then. The situation was different this time. He was different. That brief flirtation with the Dark Side would stay with him forever, as would his gratitude to [member="Adele Adonai"] for helping him centre himself. This time he didn't have to push away that pre-battle apprehension. This time his focus was clear throughout the journey. The adrenaline rush he had used to push himself on was replaced with a level of control over himself and the Force he had never previously achieved.

There was no passion, there was only serenity.

There was his usual equipment around him. His Vanguard armour, etched with the logo of the Hounds enclave. His occluder handcannon and lightsaber hung from his belt. Off to one side in a rack was his reliable CC13 rifle with a bandolier of grenades.

“We're coming up as close on the temple as we can without drawing attention!” came the call of the pilot over the intercom. Time to make a different. Time to take the fight to the heart of evil.

 

[Darth Ferus]

"Master, it seems Coruscant is under attack."

The voice of Pilot, Ferus's Droid pilot, sounded off in his ear. A frown formed on his features.

He was still dealing with pubbies on Contruum.

"Ah well. Let those free to handle it do so. I'm busy."

With that he took out the earpiece, and crushed it.

 

[Adele Adonai]

A
Within one of the chambers of the Galactic Alliance ships, the Jedi Healer Adele Adonnai sat in her traditional seiza form. She was deep in her meditation of serenity, her focus immaculate. Her form in line. The tiny flutters of her eyes under the thin skin of her lowered lids were the only other movement beyond the steady breath of air into and out of her lungs

Battle meditation was a key component to their strategy. Adele was here to ensure she could keep as many of the Galactic Alliance and their allies focused and their moral up. She could not afford to falter. She could not afford to fail. She had to be perfect.

Had to be.

Sinking deeper into the sea of the Force, the Iridonian began to spread her senses outward. A web that would widen with every second, every moment blooming a dozen, then a hundred, then a thousand of lives within her reach.

 

[Peyton Steele]

To say Peyton Steele was nervous was an understatement. The hybrid and non-Force user had been to Coruscant exactly once. She had been there to make sure that one of her friends could properly forge and steal a piece of art. She had been the honeypot for that operation. For this one? She was in Omega Pyre style armor, with a standard BlasTech rifle, all of which could be found in her bio. She was clutching the rifle in her hands as they entered atmosphere. So many shuttles. The Alliance was serious about this task, weren’t they?

Even called in the Sanctum.

She was not going to vomit. This was a war. She had to show that she could bounce as well as the Jedi could. The entry was rough but that wasn’t unexpected. The freighter touched down and she nodded. The crash webbing came off as the gangway was lowered. “Remember your training. We’re going to sabotage as much as we can. Stop anything from shooting at our flyboys and the fleet. Steele, your team is going to be running systems interference. The rest of you, take down the security teams. Move!” The Lieutenant ordered as he lead the group out of the freighter and into the fire.

Going Downtown
Location: Shuttle Heading for Sith Temple

Into battle she went. The Alliance had struck when the Sith were most distracted, meaning that so far they had faced little resistance.
Tempest was pleased about that. She burned with a desire to punish the Sith. Coruscant specifically meant nothing to her; she’d never been there. However, when she’d been approached she decided she would take this opportunity.

The only potential issue was the Jedi Jihadists with her. She’d made it clear to the Alliance that she was a Coalition member in good standing and her lightning was elemental not Sith lightning. Hopefully matters would not get ugly. Still, they had plenty of real enemies to attack.

Hauntruss was rested in her chambers listening to proceedings near Contruum, where her advanced fleet led by Thanith was conducting operations against the Republic. The war plan was for Thanith to remove the threat and allow for the rest of Hauntruss' War Fleet to arrive and descend upon the Republic shipyard defenses. Seated her command chair with her black gloved fingers clinging to the arms of her chair like talons of a hawk she glared into her comm screens. Suddenly a voice exploded over the audio-link.

"My lady urgent security alert from near-system Coruscant patrol." it shouted. Hauntruss' brows wrinkled together and she stared at the nervous lieutenant.

"What is it officer." Hauntruss demanded.

"Coruscant is under attack!" The officer blurted out without any military professionalism. "There is a large collective force assaulting its outer defenses!"

Hauntruss' lips began to curl and her teeth fanged were revealed between her black inked lips. "Inform the Wrath and Eye[member="Darth Isolda"] of this development, immediately. And have my fleet turned around! At once!"

The officer flinched in hesitation, "But that may leave our flank exposed to Republic retaliation my Lady!" Hauntruss growled and her fingers dug into the leather of her armrest. "Then have only my flagship and escort turn, Tharsis is in command of the fleet in my absence. Move!" She cut the feed and rose up from her seat. She grinned and let out a short chuckle.

"Brave Jedi. Clever even." Hauntruss spat in a venomous curse. "But stupid. Hiss, hiss, hiss. Very Stupid."

[Sorry Friedrich, I'd love to fleeter tango with yah but I'm gonna stick to ground combat for this one. I'll try and send some vessels your way to pew pew at but, Im still tired from my IRL work. I'm going to focus on PvP-ish stuff. Let me know if you have any ideas I'll try and be an accommodating opponent as I can. I shall leave my arrival post for later as I think it proper in showing a delay between alerting and arrival. I'll probably head down to the surface and defend the Central Temple or Planetary Defenses whichever is assaulted first.]​

Unlike many of the members of the Coalition of the Willing, Kaida had not really signed up due to some sort of desire to go righteous crusading. Sure, she believed Sith were vermin that should be shot on sight, but she was not fanatical about crusading against them. Above all, she was an Eldorai patriot and so her interests were mostly linked to her people. The Republic meant little to her, so did the new Galactic Alliance that had apparently risen now that OP had finally been taken off life support.

However, Tempest had joined the Crusade, and they were sort of friends. Well, actually the Dahomian was one of the few people the taciturn Eldorai considered a friend. Especially after her deeds during the exodus. Unlike her, Kaida had been part of OP's ill-advised and similarly ill-fated invasion of Coruscant. Boldly they had rode and well into the jaws of death and been defeated. However, Gould seemed an alright sort and would presumably not decide to send her flagship on collision course with the Imperial Palace! As for Jedi jihadists, Kaida was not keen on them either. This was nothing personal, for she was not keen on most people in general!


So the moderately anti-social cryomancer, newly healed after getting mauled a lot during the civil war on Kaeshana, was now on the shuttle with Tempest as its made its way towards the target. The shuttle rocked a bit as flak fire came their way and dodged dramatically. Kaida remained, you might have guessed it, impassive.

Ijaat didn't really fly.... Ever... But he had settled in uncomfortably into an x-wing, oddly enough armorless. He was instead wrapped in a sturdy sort of quasi-cloak that was really a warden-cloak from the AEI lines the he had draped around him like a poncho. The rest of what he wore was standard spacer clothing, having adopted Corellian fashion in his time around [member="Coren Starchaser"]. When in Rome, after all.. But he had let Geoff take the rein, his hands covered in crushgauntlets he hadn't worn in ages.

Honestly he wasn't even sure his team knew he had the blasted things. The DE-10's were of course strapped in standard hip born holsters loosely tied to the thighs to keep them from flapping about. The rest of his gear sat in a plain brown duffel bag in the back, a U1-MDR rifle resting on the seat. He was loaded for bear, as always. And in this instance, he was headed straight for the planetary defense controls. With his wonderful gift from Selvaris, he intended to wreak havoc on their controls and play a bit of fun. Comparative in size, the One Sith was a rather large cat, and they a small mouse... And you know what they said about mice doing while the cat was away..

The fighter took flak coming in, and Ijaat muttered a bit, growling as the thing shook and juddered, alarms flaring.

"Sir, we're loosing engine power rapidly. I can fly better than you, but not much more so. I would advise abortion of the run..."

"Well, that's not happening... Put us down as low as you can, keep flying, and when I tell you, slow down, let me jump and then full engines forward, steering lock"

"Subtle.... At least certain things never change. Course locked, engines will slow for five seconds then accelerate to maximum... Do hurry.."

Shrugging, Ijaat undid the harness as his cockpit opened. Reaching back, he grabbed the duffell, absurdly heavy thanks to it carrying his hammer and sword, and slung it across his back along with the rifle. The last thing he grabbed was a dusty old hat from the center console as he leapt from the cockpit. The engines whined a few moments after, crashing directly into some rather large looking building in the process. He fluttered towards the ground, screaming as his flesh ruptured and was, with what was visible, covered in an armorweave look-a-like from face to toe. The ground rushed towards him, and he hit with a thud from a good fifty feet up, straightening with a wince hid by the biot he was now covered in.

Shaking his legs for a moment, the rifle hung idle. Some sort of planetary defense soldier recognized Ijaat, and the grizzled mando'ade dove behind a dumpster in a rattle of equipment moments before the bolt of a blaster whined off his cover. Either the soldiers were faster, or he was getting older. Or, maybe, he admitted with a grunt, it was a bit of both.

Rifling through the bag, he swiftly slung his hammer and sword across his back, fitting a few precious force-breaker grenades into his belt-pouch, and with a resigned sigh he grabbed his rifle, holding it at the ready as he keyed comms to his squad.

"Ijaat is on the ground... Errr... Coren, about that x-wing I was in... Well... I think I owe you a new paint job on it... Maybe just a whole new fighter, really. I'm en route to the planetary defenses. Should be transmitting a beacon... They sorta already know I'm here, so if there's anyone on the ground that wants to tag along, that would be grand."

Deep reds and blacks covered in vong spiked on all sides, the reborn formed of Krayt’s armor, Raien Keth had been sleeping, well truthfully he had been entombed in a stasis chamber at the temple for about five years now, decaying like the relic he was. The galaxy might say waiting for someone foolish enough to awaken him from a long slumber, the majority of his servants were offworld at his other holdings on byss, one or two of the ancient Massassi and a scattering of Echani sunguard remained tending to his stasis unit but nothing substantial.

Often times decay happened to Sith Lords, or old Sith and Raien was beyond his years, older in terms of deeds than most of the Masters walking the halls, the purpose dwindled and without purpose, as he had so often said to his students, Sith decayed and fell to ruin. Even that lust for finding himself through conflict though had come to pass, thusly when the Betrayer had felt the decay of purpose driving him, he had entombed himself in a stasis of sorts, a deep meditation, awake and considering his place within the galaxy, awaiting for the war ahead he knew would inevitably awaken him one last time. It had staved off the armor consuming anymore of the ancient Echani Sith but done little to improve his mood.

One thing Raien Keth loathed more than anything else in the galaxy was interruption. When his stasis was interrupted by an Echani servant the man found his bone structure resonating from the inside out, until it fractured and broke in two, crumbling in a heap, some people just woke up on the wrong side of the tomb.

With a deep breath connection to the awakening energies around him was established, drawing upon the certainty of the Sith code bred into his bones from his many trials, encased in the temple structure, the Rakattan runic fire of his journey now burning across the armor of Krayt, heavy metal boots claimed their place upon the ground, clawing his path over the stone. Old wounds consumed by new armor, old weaknesses extinguished at the cost of everything he used to be, he was stronger than he had ever been. Shaking off the cobwebs, the tomb door was cast out and he approached the feet of the temple to greet their guests properly as any Sith should.

Objective: Solve some personal issues

Rook had turned off his TACCOMM the moment his snub fighter had broken atmosphere. There was an operation, and objectives to deal with, but the soldier had his own vendetta. He couldn't care any less about the coalition's efforts on Coruscant. So long as they bought him the time he needed, he would be happy. That being said, he would need to move quickly before the Sith could recall their fleets back to defend Coruscant. If he was too slow, there would be no getting off this world. He was outside of Alliance influence. If he went down here, no one was coming to pick him back up.

"Sara, you need to turn on the external generator." He mumbled into the personal comm unit in his ear. The girl could not respond through the other end, but she could hear him at the very least. A few moments later, and her single began to transmit on his HUD. He was on course.

He'd instructed his mother and sister to find a place near one of the civilian starports away from the fighting. There would be guards, but Rook could deal with them. They certainly weren't going to be getting off world in this little craft.

His heart was threatening to jump out his throat. During past operation he could always find a way to calm himself. He could accept his own death, so long as it was in service to his team. Now? His family was in danger, and if he slipped up, they would face the price for it. That was a lot of pressure to put on one man.

Anti-air fire came up to meet his vessel. The thing had no shields, but it was tiny. With each hard pull of the yolk, the ship twisted and dived closer to the planet's surface. He managed to reach the height of the tallest skyscrapers when one of the rounds made contact. The ship pitched a hard roll to the left as its engines died. Primary power was cut to life support, and there was little Rook could do to guide the ship down.

"Shab." He cursed, pulling on the emergency ejection switch. The outer glass exploded outward. Rook undid his straps, and pushed up out of the seat -- only to be met with winds that would have snapped his spine on the back of the ship had he not been wearing his armor. The snub dove toward one of the towering structures. Rook pressed down on the ejection key once again. There was a loud pop as the chair shot up into the sky, and sent Rook careening away from the failing craft.

The Sith were a blight on the galaxy, a plague that latched onto its bright expanse and only served to make it darker. There were no benefits to their continued existence, their was no good out of giving them mercy, no warmth from their false love and lies. Sith deserved to die, just as much as good people deserved to live - and Lis was here to ensure that each and every Sith she'd meet would die. Like a leech, the Sith required a brilliant flame to force them off of their stranglehold on the core, and the Alliance and their friends were here to start that fire - or rather to make it burn brighter. Why? Because they didn't start the fire.

Lisette was not quite the best pilot, rather horrible in any form of combat really - unless she was trying to run away or something - so it only stood to reason that she'd try to make her way to the surface by way of following the tumbling ship that was commandeered by [member="Aela Talith"]. The difference between her ship and the stolen transport freighters? Lisette had old connections to the Sith, her mother having once served as a higher ranking member of their farce of a government, and had finagled a small fighter that the company her mother had once owned and operated, which her half-sister now ran in her stead. This ship, produced by a company that operated in Sith space, was wholly legal in regards to markings, and it was completely without any chances of being reported as stolen - it was her own personal ship.

Like a bat out of hell her small ship descended behind the larger ships that carried alliance troops, with an equally satisfied smirk on her face. As the ships crashed into the ground below her, not too far from her at the moment, Lisette activated the auto-pilot on the small craft, which immediately made a sharp turn towards the sky, and then ejected herself from the craft. Very quickly the Kuhn was in free fall, without even a lick of concern on her face, some thirty or forty meters from the ground. She wore armor provided to her by one of the Sith's own allies, hilariously enough, and free equipment to boot. At both sides of her thin waist was a lightsaber, each one slightly different in design and certainly for different forms of combat. If she wasn't rushing towards the ground, feet first, she would have lit a cigarette and smirked, but instead drew her knees to her chest, closed her eyes, and the split-second before she hit the ground a massive telekinetic burst sprung her up from the ground and shattered the already cracked and broken pavement where she would have landed, rolling head-over-heels forwards about four meters before springing back up to her feet.

A sharp intake of air was pulled into her nostrils.

Watching the descending shuttles and gunships, the Admiral noted a limited Sith response so far. Good, surprise was on their side, but would not be for long.

Her fleet was heading towards the shipyards and orbital stations of Coruscant. Soon they would be in range, but would have to be careful. A misplaced Vortex Cannon round would be like a small asteroid if it missed and hit the city below instead!

“Deploy the fleet. Pyramid formation. Destiny leads, Justice and Cavalier in left and right echelon. Wasp, Dart and Hoplon cover one ship each. Push the Vanguard and Forefront forward, and order Piquet and Peltast to deploy fighters and join the screen. Watch for enemies coming onto the flank. Harbinger will take the flank with the Aegis to provide long-range covering fire. Majesty and Resolute, covered by the Bolt will form up behind the Destiny, ready to deploy where needed to either flank. Intensify scans to guard against enemy ships coming in to our flank.”

And so the fleet fell into a standard enough formation, waiting for any enemy defenders to play their hands.

Objective Zero:

Lucas Gravois didn't care. He wasn't made that way. There were people coming to Coruscant? Good. The 'real' Sith could handle them. He had other things to do. Looking down at his nails, the drowner of kittens, skinner of Bothans, was covered in blood. Blood and blue flesh. That was a bit problematic. But the thing was? Lucas was hungry. And well, without much good going on around him? He had taken to the streets of Coruscant. There was a small restaurant which had a fried food menu, but it also had down on their luck servers. And while it wasn't the most wonderful hunting story, it also wouldn't make a big spark.

Most people that were turned into soup for the Sith in training were murdered. He wasn't sure why he always did it in some very heinous way. Currently? A blue Twi'lek was hung upside down, chains around their ankles, blood running up their legs, over their torso and dripping onto the floor.

Drip.

Drip.

Drip.

Lucas shushed the Twi'lek, and when they protested, used the Force to start closing her throat. That was when he turned up the holo, to listen to the news report of Alliance personnel and Silver Coalition ships arriving in the local space of Coruscant.

Yeah, he had better things to do.

The Dark Side of the Force ran in her blood. Through the blessing of Vahl; through the proud name she bore and strived to uphold; through her own will to power, she was bound to the dark side and its fate. Joycelyn had not received much formal training yet, but her connection was strong, her passion was genuine, and she had the martial training of her two lineages to rely upon. When the alarms went off, she had been pounding away at one of the Academy's many, heavy punching bags. She was warmed up, but far from fatigued. Quickly, the tall acolyte threw on some robes and followed the stream of Sith opposition through the halls and out to face the attackers.

She felt excitement. Her heart beat a quickly in her chest and a broad smile spread over her lips. Her hand tightened around the vibroblade in her hand. Most Sith Acolytes had a lightsabre, but she had not yet been granted or constructed one for herself. All in good time. Though some went off to face and fight the assailants head-on, many stayed behind to use the temple corridors to their advantage. They knew this place, this was their home, and now some nerf-herders were coming to sack it. They would not roll over easy. Throughout the hallways, from entry to the deepest core, stood the Acolytes that stayed behind from the attack on Contruum. They were not the weakest and they were not sickly. In their own minds, they were entrusted with the defence of the temple.

Joycelyn was among the outer defence. Right inside the entrance, she and a fellow Acolyte waited for the intruders. Unlike Joycelyn, the other Acolyte was armed with a lightsabre. He seemed awfully proud, with the way he spun it around in his hand and all. What was his name? After trying to remember, Joycelyn gave up and decided to call him Steve. She wondered how long Steve would last, and how he would die. As Steve dropped his lightsabre on the floor, she decided he would most certainly die. How come he had a sabre and she did not? Was there a time-limit of some sort? The walls shook as more ships crashed into the ground outside. The violent vibrations shook her out of her concerns. It was time for bloodshed, time for glory, time for battle and to honour Vahl.

Assassins Armour

The temporary quarters of Sith Assassin and Sin of Sloth Xavka Duquo was bathed in the gentle light of numerous candles, each one laid out before the one armed Zabrak as he sat completely still, head bowed and eyes closed. Even as his physical body was anchored, tied to one place within the physical realm, his mind was cast away within the turbulent flows of the Force as he tried to search for the source of the silent screaming the intangible field was screaming within his mind.

Flickering from one possible future to another, ignoring the far off feeling of the trickle of blood that was beginning to pour from his nose as he placed his mind under too much stress, Xavka pursued his search relentlessly. Something bad was about to happen, something that was causing the Dark to stir and whisper tales of anger and vengeance while singing, preaching about the oncoming spilling of blood and loss of life. Never before had the Iridonian felt such strong feelings from the Dark and it was causing him to worry even though his emotionless mask showed none of his reservations.

Eventually, his mind came to rest on a possible occurrence that felt right. Xavka's mind cast around for some other adjective and description of the feeling but found nothing, it just felt right. He watched mentally as warriors and weavers of the Force landed and fought upon the conquered ground of Coruscant, searching to reclaim it while the majority of the Sith were distracted and away with the fighting on Contruum.

A loud growl rumbled from Xavka's throat as his eyes snapped open, one yellow eye sharp and vibrant with sight the other dulled from blindness caused by the scars that marred the right side of his face. Pushing himself to his feet, stumbling only slightly as the would on is left leg was pulled and caused white hot pain to flare within his mind, Xavka stepped over the flames before him, unmindful of the fact that the fires licked at his naked skin, focussing instead on pushing through the pain, sentencing it to the back of his mind.

Dressing as quickly as he could with only one hand, Xavka pulled on the provided Sith Assassin armour for the first time in his life, forgoing his own clothing. Storming out of the room, Xavka slammed his hand onto the door next to his, shouting as he did so. "Move it Lust, we've got blood to spill."

Confident that his shout would awaken his partner and fellow Assassins, Xavka began to march towards where he felt the largest Presence moving, mumbling under his breathe as he did so. "And doth the screams of dead ring out, as war drums beat their beat, hear to glee in Death's proud shout, as war drums beat their beat, fields of flesh and rivers of blood, as the war drums beat their beat, stand your ground as a loyal man should, as the war drums beat their beat!"
