The Precursor.

He let out a small sigh and looked around the area. "Good. Then I'll do my best to help you keep that smile." His steps continued to crunch on the leaves which lay on the ground. Despite his former smile, her next words put a fairly large damper on his mood. "I know, but there are still things I have to do and within the sith is the only real place I can work on those things."

"I could just killed them and frame you, all done and you get a way out of the Sith." She smiled, though a certain part of her tone hinted she was atleast partially serious in that she could just kill the ones that were causing him to be held up in his plans and so that she could free him of his burden. But that was all in the past and something she had confidence was not going to happen any time soon. That and the fact that he probably would never have her do something like that.

"Great, send me running for my life before I can get everything done." He tapped her forehead with a poke. "Sadly enough, I kinda need them alive. I may not want to be best buddies with them, but I certainly can't have them plopping dead on me, and I really don't need them having a reason to lop off my head."

"Its a joke, mostly. Point being ill kick your butt if you take longer than is required in leaving the Sith mister." She smiled and nudged him again as they walked, not really sure how far they were at this point but she really didn't care how long it took, as long as it was later than sooner. With that her eyes slid closed again and she just walked with him towards the home that she had made in the middle of these forests. "I wonder how the future will turn out Vulps..."

"I know, and I think I can live with that deal." He nudged her back and continued to walk, smiling as he saw her close her eyes and relax. It might be a long walk, but it was one he was happy to take with her. "Well, the past and present hasn't killed us yet, so I don't think it can be too bad. Besides, despite common belief, I actually do have a plan for surviving long enough to have a future."

"Does this include climbing into a tree mister, or maybe digging a hole with your paws?" She smiled at him, eyes not inching open for even a second. She was too busy listening to the sound of his heart and to his breathing, smiling as she thought of him trying to dig a hole with only his hands. "You know, you aren't actually a fox, no matter how much you want to be one."

He chuckled and moved his head to kiss the top of her head. "But I was raised by them, and I think hats close enough to be at least, honorary." He poked her side. "Besides, I've really done those things in the past, so its not like its too much of a stretch." As strange as it was, he was telling the truth. Zarro had trained him in the tree tops. As for hiding in a hole... he'd rather not remember that one.

"Do i need to start feeding you kibbles and bits then Vulps?" She grinned at him, her smile wide and full as she stood beside him and continued to walk with her eyes closed. She was evermindful of what he would do though, just in case the man actually decided to get her back. But she trusted him and he would -never- do anything to mess with her... right?

He rolled his eyes and gave his head a small shake. "Very funny, but you weren't laughing when I hit you with that howl. Can't say I didn't get anything out of it... even if joy occasionally sends me into wagging a tail I don't have. Maybe that's what I'll do. Put my connections to the vong to use and get one of those. Always wanted one, considering who I grew up with."

"Speaking of that howl, you do realize you could have killed me with that, don't you?" She smiled and grinned wider as she looked at him. Ok so her was sorry about it, she still wanted a little fun over the whole event and if he was going to point out that she wasn't laughing when he almost broke her neck, then she was going to point out that very fact that he could have broken her neck.

Immediately after she finished talking, Vulpesen regretted his words, and his body shifted noticeable, as he unconsciously tried to make himself disappear. "It was a natural reaction..." His voice was sheepish as he cast a glance at her while she grinned at him. "Besides, I did stop to heal you, didn't I? And I also held back enough to keep you in one piece."

"I know Vulps... i know you would never try to kill me which is why im smiling and i am not trying to get away from you. What happened was an accident and like it or not we both should understand that fact that it was just that, an accident." She leaned her head against him and nudged at him again. "Stop looking so sad and miserable, it was a one time thing afterall."

He nodded and pulled her just a bit close, straightening up. "Alright. I guess I'll just have to get used to this new voice. Even on my best days, I couldn't get that loud with my howling." He was proud of what he was, whatever it was, but there was still a tiny bit of fear. Whether or not he liked it, Vulpesen still had abilities he had never exhibited before and he had to be careful lest he hurt someone else unintentionally with them.

"Hey, if you don't we could always use your force howl to launch me at someone by way of cannonball." She smiled as she pushed into him to break him from his sorrowful stupor that he was in at the moment. She really had no idea how to rationalize what had happened but had indeed been an accident and no matter what she would not hold that against him. Not now or ever. "So, mister Torrevaso, what to talk about now."

He rose a brow at the suggestion. "That might be possible, but I don't know how I feel about launching my girlfriend through the air." Her playful push coaxed out another smile and he stepped back towards her, bumping her with his side. "I'm not sure what to talk about. Not too much comes to mind save my jobs which I think we're both tired of dealing with."

"Tired of you being a Sith, naw i would never be tired of that." She grinned and looked up at the sky. "Looks like we still got a few hours before the sun goes down again, this is taking much longer than i thought it would... then again normally i don't make these near constant stops or have someone to do this walk with." She smiled at him as she leaned her head back against him and continued to walk. "How much further do you thinks we got, im willing to bet another day or two at least."

"I'd say a day and a half. Unless of course you hopped on my back and I ran. Then I'd say a little under a day." He grinned wider as he felt her head resting on his shoulder. "But, there's no reason to enjoy our little camping and hiking trip. Even if I can sense Ace going insane back at your place. And, I've especially enjoyed one of our stops."

She would have gone red at the thought of the piggy back ride alone if he hadn't ended the sentence liked that which caused her to go as red as a sith and she pushed him away as she crossed her hands and looked away. "You are real funny fox brain..." She assumed she knew what he had meant, hands still crossed over her chest though she was smiling when he was unable to see her face.

Vulpesen laugh and walked over to wrap his arms lovingly around her, bringing a kiss to her cheek. "I know. But it is true." Sometimes, he couldn't help but give her these pangs of embarrassment, it was too easy and he enjoyed seeing her like that, maybe just a bit too much. "So, is that a no on the piggy back ride?"

"You want to give me, Grey Master of Alderaan's forests, a piggy back ride?" She blinked and rose a brow at the suggestion, and she had almost infact answered if she hadn't thought about how stupid and outrageous an idea it was in the first place. Next came the very thought he could be doing this for a laugh and she was not going to give this fox brain something to laugh about and hold over her like she did on so many things that have happened like Zeltros.
