STRENGTHS

Shooting Iron: The Verpine inspired magnetic coil not only allow this weapon to deliver a high yield of kinetic energy with every shot, but it also allows it to fire rounds from a wide variety of calibers.
Clipping Horns: Between the norris rooted treated stock and the beskar frame, the Outlander is a highly durable firearm that can withstand the rigours of close combat should the need arise.

WEAKNESSES

Thunderatiorrn: Due to the fine tuning required to make the magnetic coil and polarizing orb work in concert, this weapon is incredibly sensitive to ion energy and requires extensive downtime maintenance when exposed to such.
The Clueless Deputy: While that lever action might seem uncomplicated on the surface of it all, it can take some getting used to before the user can reliably fire rounds consecutively with any real speed. That recoil certainly doesn’t help matters, either.

DESCRIPTION

It might not have been the slugthrower that won the Rim, but the Outlander Carbine was definitely made to be a rifle with a sense of heart. Not everyday an outlaw finds themselves fulfilling an order from the local constabulary after all. To help those clearly confused souls, TOTT made sure that the Outlander was at its innermost core a simple, rugged and reliable piece that a prospective user could place their trust in to have their back in a pinch.
With that firmly in mind, the stock was made from a reinforced veshok wood that has been treated with a proprietary norris root dye, allowing it to withstand the rigours of combat and resist glancing blows from lightsabers. Similarly the 30cm barrel, receiver and lever action have been cast from a darkened beskar that adds both an incredible durability and a sense of reassuring heft to the weapon. Ideal for cold clocking an unruly miscreant or bludgeoning that grandstanding Sith Lord that loves the sound of his own diabolical plan.
The gun itself boasts a lever action mechanism to allow a prompt chambering of the next round and an overall twenty round capacity, with fresh rounds easily slotted into the loading gate on the side of the frame. While not quite as powerful as the Vornskr it is often sold alongside, the verpine inspired magnetic coils allow for a good deal of kinetic oomph behind each round fired. It also allows the rifle to fire a variety of rounds beyond the norm, offering flexibility for an individual caught on a planet that doesn’t have a fixed or standardised caliber.
