The Order of the Righteous Flame Q&A

Eternalfire-0_zpsw4xqmqcn.png
Order of the Righteous Flame
"We shall cleanse this Galaxy with a Righteous Flame..."

Q: What is the Order of the Righteous Flame?

A: The Order is a militaristic monastic order which is dedicated to returning the Galaxy to Order amid the continuing Chaos created in the wake of the ongoing Jedi-Sith conflict. They view themselves as the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' a title which the Jedi Order has in recent years failed to uphold.

Q: Is the Order of the Righteous Flame like all those other 'Crusader' Factions before them?

A: No. What stands us apart from those Factions and similar factions is our policy of No Force Sensitive individuals are permitted within the Order. There are multiple groups already that have been permeated throughout with their own Force Users. This is a group strictly for Non-Force Users.

Q: Why would I want to join the Order of the Righteous Flame when Force Users are so cool and make up the primary reason that many people roleplay in a Star Wars setting?

A: Why wouldn't you? Yes the biggest draw of Star Wars is the Force Users, the Jedi and the Sith and all those little splinter factions in between. Yet where does that leave everyone else in the grand scale? You've those whom aren't Force Users often relegated to the background as their work in a conflict is over shadowed by the 'nearly infinite cosmic power' beings.

The Order of the Righteous Flame seeks to change this by providing those whom are either tired of playing the Force User, or whom want something new, can come and enjoy themselves. Likewise the Order is a faction that is meant to prove that you can have just as much fun liberating a galaxy without the Force.

Q: What are your views on the Jedi Order and the Sith Order?

A: The Order of the Righteous Flame views both the Jedi Order and the Sith Order as those whom have caused the most harm to the Galaxy; be it by the Sith's constant conquest of worlds and destructive means, or the Jedi Order's own inaction in confronting the Sith. This also extends to the view that the Jedi's own splintering into various other factions and organizations has weakened the once powerful Guardians.

Q: Are you really going to focus on the destruction of the Jedi and Sith, as well as other Force Users?

A: This is an important question and one that can have multiple answers. The short answer is yes; while the long answer is no. While the goals of the Order are the eventual destruction of the Sith Order and the Jedi Order; that is not their ultimate goal; and while they do believe that all Force Users are a danger, they are not out to actively commit genocide upon those species whom rely upon the Force (such as the Miralukans) or those whom are born with a talent (such as the Kiffar).

While their goal is the destruction of the Sith Order, and those whom are more likely to utilize the Dark Side (meaning Dark Jedis as well); the Order does not desire for a definitive "destruction" of the Jedi Order as it were. Rather they believe that the Jedi Order and its splinter factions must be destroyed in order for that Order to be reborn and become the Guardians that the Jedi Order once had been.

Thus in the long run the Order of the Righteous Flame will remain Force User free and seeking to fill in the role that the Jedi Order has since failed in filling. Ultimately the Order of the Righteous Flame seeks to bring Order to the Galaxy which can only happen once Force Users have been either destroyed or reigned in.

However, with the above said. One of the goals as you will notice in the Faction write up, is the 'Destruction of the Force Itself...'

This Goal is the penultimate last resort Goal. While the Order of the Righteous Flame views all Force Users as dangerous and actively works to apprehend, kill or otherwise imprison Force Users for the greater good, they view the goal of destroying the force as the final solution and last resort.

Q: What are your views on other Factions?

A: This is another question that is difficult to outright answer due to the myriad of factions that exist at this moment. For the moment they're focused on their own goals and do not think of the other factions unless they interfere with the Order of the Righteous Flame (beyond their own focus upon the One Sith Empire and the Jedi Order).

They view the One Sith as being the primary enemy to Order; thus they are focused upon the destruction of that Empire and bringing Order to the areas of space they have corrupted.

They see the Republic as ailing, corrupted by those that seek to hold the leash short of any in the Military that would seek to strike against the Sith at their borders. While also viewing their counterparts of the Galactic Alliance as nothing more than a splinter of the Republic.

The Mandalorians are viewed with honor, due in part to their status as warriors and their own on going conflict to secure their own borders of space. While factions such as the Hutt Cartel and Techno Union are viewed as 'necessary' evils that have their own way of keeping order and peace in their territories.

Additionally those smaller groups as seen in the Black Rose and Jen'ari are viewed with interest, though ultimately not seen (at this moment) as a threat to the Order or the Galaxy at large. This goes double so for the Black Rose whom broke away from the One Sith, though the Order still maintains eyes upon both for signs of chaos.

With the emergence of the newly established Sovereign State of Alderaan; and the reestablishment of the House Syrush, the Order of the Righteous Flame is seeking to aid Alderaan and provide a beneficial working relationship between the two Factions.

Q: If I join, what is there for the kind of person whom doesn't want to be a soldier or always in combat.

A: That depends on the person. While there is the main branch of the Order of the Righteous Flame itself; there are the Seekers, those whom actively hunt down and fight Force Users within the Order and its holdings, this is not all that there is to the Order.

We have additional branches as well. For instance, perhaps you want to hunt down and discover ancient artifacts that are dangerous and belong in a vault. We've the Enlightened just for that. Or maybe you're a Factory junkie that wants the entire board to see your skill. Join the Armigers and outfit the Order with your ideas. Or perhaps you just want to be a Florence Nightingale and help those displaced by the conflict between the Jedi and the Sith; then the Hospitallers are perfect for you.

Likewise we're always looking for new ideas, and would love to hear yours if you've one for a new branch or something to add to the Order.

Q: Well, what about those that join the Order but don't want to be part of those factions or internal organizations?

A: We still welcome you, as there are a myriad of stories that are just waiting to be written. Perhaps you're a Force Sensitive that doesn't like the fact that you are and so you seek out the Order to find a means to strip you of that curse. Or you could be a Pro Force Sensitive whom is seeking to infiltrate the order to try and hinder it (be reasonable with this though).

There are even those lost souls whom are displaced by the Jedi's inaction and the Sith's conquest that could just be relocating themselves, their family, or their business into Order of the Righteous Flame held territory as a means to escape the Jedi and Sith. If you think it, we can probably come up with a compelling story to develop and play out.

Q: Where can I learn more?

A: Our Faction Write up is constantly being updated and maintained and provides you with the largest amount of information on the Order.

Q: I like what I'm seeing and I'm compelled to join, how do I do that?

A: Simple.

Visit our Faction page and...

Q: What if I have further questions that haven't been answered above?

A: Then ask them in a post below . Your question will be answered as quickly as possible, and to your satisfaction to the best of our ability to do so.

ICily, my character has no love for either the Jedi or Sith. I think we could work together in some capacity. Is your group pragmatic enough to work with non-aligned Force Users?

I would like to remind individuals to please refrain from posting confrontational, aggressive, or content that could be potentially construed as antagonistic (ie. posts or gifs) and remain to the original context and reason of the original post.

With the Order of the Righteous Flame focusing upon the Sith Order and the Jedi Order, there is still a blurry spot in regards to non-aligned Force Users.

This blurry spot is a result of the faction being strictly Non-Force User only, which while it was looked at to permit Force Users, specifically non-aligned, this was decided to be a no go primarily due in part to the other factions that are filled with Force Users.

I would like the Order of the Righteous Flame to be strictly Non-Force Users only.

However it still remains, that there is the possibility of working with Non-Aligned Force Users, though this would be in rare circumstances, due in part to the Order's own codex that it follows. As stated above in another portion of the Q&A, while it does seek the destruction of Force Users, it is not open to the idea of genocide (ie. Destroying a species like the Miraluka because they're forced into the adaptation of using the force to see).

It primarily boils down to a case by case basis and the individuals involved, (as we've currently have one member who is having an illicit relationship with a force user, while also hunting down and assassinating others.)

[member="Amelia Sorenn-Syrush"] Thank you. As it stands now, my character is not a known Force User, so I don't think we should have any issues for the moment. Suravi would think they could put their difference aside to strike a common enemy, the Sith. The Jedi can be handled in another manner.

I understand that, though with as much times as I've seen and heard 'come at me bro' used to antagonize and begin conflict, I felt it necessary to clarify and nip it in the bud as it were.

If you have questions, comments or concerns about the Order of the Righteous Flame, I would like to hear them.

Three questions for you, My Lady.

1. Does the House of Syrush offically acknowledge its connection to the Order to its fellow Alderaani Noble Houses?
2. What is the Order's stance on the Vong, Vongshaped, and other indivudals who are otherwise dead to the Force?
3. How in need of characters i the faction, as I have been looking to even out my character roster and your faction has caught my interest, as I have a great love of medieval history and this feels like a Knightly faction.

1. As Amelia Sorenn-Syrush is the current Countess (i.e. Head of House Syrush), it is known and acknowledged that House Syrush is connected to the Order of the Righteous Flame. There is even an ongoing thread in which Amelia is seeking permission from the Royal House; House Organa, to reestablish House Syrush on Alderaan, including the construction of an Order of the Righteous Flame temple fortress.

2. The Order of the Righteous Flame views the Vong in varying degrees. Those that are serving the Sith and One Sith Empire are seen in the same light as the Sith Order and must be destroyed. The Vong whom are not part of the Sith, vong shaped and as said, individuals that are dead to the Force, would be welcomed; as the Order does have a final resort plan, which is the destruction of the Force itself, which would likely be achievable by studying those that are dead to the Force.

3. While the faction currently has a number of members, the active individuals is lower than liked. This is being looked towards to find a means to changing this; however new members are always welcomed.

What kind of tech does the Order use? The whole structure seems feudal-like.
Is it all swords and shields, or would there be room for someone with blasters and modern stuff?

The Order of the Righteous Flame is the evolution of the Templar Order (which your character Aria Fel was part of and still shows on our member list).

Thus it remains as it had (in terms of Tech) in regards to the weapons that it uses.

With the structure being Feudal like, it does primarily use swords, shields, etc etc.

However, it also uses firearms (as seen with the Order's utilization of the M44/Mg Thermite Rifle). Blasters and other such 'modern' weapons would also be used (though that is on an individual's decision to utilize those weapons).

I would request that should you decide to start measuring, to do so in another thread as this is intended to answer questions in regards to the Original content (the faction) and not to serve as a soapbox for inappropriate or antagonistic posts.

Q: What about Sith Purebloods, who are always born Force Sensitive? Edit: As they also tend to be thrust into using force powers, unfortunately. Not to a massive extent, but eventually, even if not officially trained

Q: What is the view on the Shahku Tribe? They aren't joining under the banner of any force users at the moment, only feeling safe in One Sith territory since they are least likely to attack them. They are also not on a path to have another Sith War, or become a Sith Empire.

"This is an important question and one that can have multiple answers. The short answer is yes; while the long answer is no. While the goals of the Order are the eventual destruction of the Sith Order and the Jedi Order; that is not their ultimate goal; and while they do believe that all Force Users are a danger, they are not out to actively commit genocide upon those species whom rely upon the Force (such as the Miralukans) or those whom are born with a talent (such as the Kiffar)."

Sith Purebloods would fall under this category of an answer to a question in the original post. The Order of the Righteous Flame has a different view on species that are born as Force Sensitive (as a whole); rather than by an individual case by case. As such, the goal would also fall into how Grand Admiral Zjinn dealt with the Dathomirians by blockading and quarantining their world (as the Empire also did with other other Force Sensitive species like the Gotal).

In regards to your second question. If the Shahku Tribe remain neutral (as you've stated not joining under the banner of any Force Users), and would remain on the world they call home (or their activities do not aid the One Sith or create further havoc through the use of the Force), then a live and let live policy would be adopted towards the tribe. Though the Order would more than likely watch them closely (falling in line to the much older idea for the faction; akin to the Templars watching Mages in the Dragon Age series).

This sounds like "Because you are born a way you couldn't decide on, you are judged along with your family." But otherwise, sounds alright to me. Thanks

Q:As the Narrikians have no plans to align with orders of FUs, unless the Imperial Remnant is considered an order unto themselves, would it be permissible if they struck a "live and let live" accord with the Order of the Righteous Flame? Their activities don't assist the Sith, or the Jedi to their knowledge or any of the Force Using Organizations.

Q: What is the Order's stance on a Neutral Force User paying one FU or so of a various Faction to teach them certain Force Powers?

"This is an important question and one that can have multiple answers. The short answer is yes; while the long answer is no. While the goals of the Order are the eventual destruction of the Sith Order and the Jedi Order; that is not their ultimate goal; and while they do believe that all Force Users are a danger, they are not out to actively commit genocide upon those species whom rely upon the Force (such as the Miralukans) or those whom are born with a talent (such as the Kiffar)."

As I stated, I had previously answered this question. Provided that the Narrikians remained on their homeworld and did not actively leave or made any such actions to leave, they would be permitted to remain in relative peace. The Order of the Righteous Flame is not out to actively commit genocide upon species whom rely upon the Force or those whom are born with a specific force talent.

With that said, if any such Narrikian left their homeworld and joined either the Sith or Jedi Orders, or actively sought any such means that would prove their threat to the galaxy; that individual would be hunted by the Seekers, those individuals of the Order of the Righteous Flame whose sole purpose is to hunt down and removed FU threats to the Galaxy.

The Order's stance remains as it has been stated in previous posts. Even if said individual is a "Neutral FU" they are still a threat to the Galaxy for the sole purpose of them being an FU. Their very act of paying to be taught specific FU powers would mark them as an even greater threat. All Force Users are dangerous in the eyes of the Order and must either be under careful watch or if proven enough of a threat, removed completely.
