The Obscured Pending Darkness

Kixi could sense the Sith nearby trying to influence the minds of both her Trandoshan companion and herself. She knelt on her knees, closed her eyes in full concentration and produced a Force bubble around her. This shielded her body from the Sith's attempted mind control. She then concentrated further and extended the bubble to both Vinnsk and Free-Eyes the slicer. The bubble would temporarily serve as a protection barrier against the Sith's attempted mind influence over them. But she wasn't going to be able to keep this up forever. "You must hurry, he's nearby. He'll come in here next once he realises his mind tricks are not working", Kixi yelled out with extreme urgency. Behind the far corner of her mind all she could think of was how to end him once and for all. She had the perfect plan ready for when he showed himself before her. "He has absolutely no idea what awaits him", she quietly said to herself.

Vinskk was briefly under the influence of the Sith, seeing a vision of his people being slaughtered by lightsabre-wielding Sith. Ha! Like that could ever happen. The Trandoshan knew that, if such a preposterous event were to even occur, his people would fight back and drive them out. Vinskk grabbed Free-Eyes and yelled, "Let's move! Trandoshan and Gran are heading to Jeedai Temple! Deal with that moron and join us there!" The Gran unholstered his blaster and nervously ran to the exit with Vinskk, running out to find a lift back to the top, where the Jeedai Temple was.

Kixi watched the 2 head for the lift. She then broke her Force bubble and with a Force assisted sprint, caught up with them at the lift. "Lead the way, but try and do this as far a distance as possible from the temple". The 3 continued to head for the Jedi Temple, all except Kixi unaware that a cloaked ship, the Calder mit Arkhan was circling high above them. Mako, Kixi's first officer and special companion was in the pilot seat. She carefull scanned the surface below for any signs of trouble, and more specifically the Sith.

The lift closed, sealing the three by themselves in a lift going up, nearby the Jeedai Temple. Free-Eyes holstered his gun and the Trandoshan sniffed around, cautious of any pursuit. They carefully analyzed the environment: no sign of surveillance. Good. The plan could be discussed in more detail.

"We've lost him for now", Kixi exclaimed. "Now", she looked and pointed to Free-Eyes, I'm like a tourist around here, I don't have the slightest idea on where to go. You lead the way, do your thing and please be descrete". Just as she said those words, her comm came to life."Kixi can you hear me, can you hear me?????", echoed Mako's voice from the cloaked ship circling well above them in the busy Coruscant sky. "Loud and clear", Kixi replied. "That's a relief, I had lost contact with you while you were down there, you must've been very deep down in terms of levels, any transport lock would've been impossible" Mako continued sounding very concerned like she also did when matters were concerning Kixi's well being. "Oh!" Kixi said sounding surprised. She had had no idea of this fact and thought to herself, her plan concerning that Sith and her plan to eradicate him would have failed. Well not now at least if it came down to it. "All okay Mako, we don't plan to go down to the Under City anymore. You shouldn't lose us anymore. Continue circling within our proximity".

Vinskk nodded and pointed to a sector of Coruscant, not too far from the Temple. He started conversing with Free-Eyes in Gran, and he likewise spoke in the same tongue. After a few sentences and the both of them pointing to various locations in the city, they finally both turned around and Free-Eyes replied in Basic, "We're gonna go to a location about a klick off of the Temple. I have some tools in a house that'll we need. Basic stuff." The Trandoshan went to the cabin and told the driver to go to the nearest pad by the dropsite, and the lift flee off into that direction.

Kixi put her hand on her ear. The implanted translator unit began to squeel that it momentarily hurt her ear. Gran was an unknown language until now and her implanted unit was unable to decipher the conversation between the Gran and the Trandoshan. Finally the squeeling stopped as soon as Vinskk had turned around and spoke to her in Basic. She was going to have to get that unit looked at as it wasn't meant to do that. Both aliens had noticed her flinch, but didn't seem bothered or concerned. "So I guess I just tag along for now. Do tell me if I can be of help, I'm not just a pretty face you know", Kixi said as she quietly sat in the cab next to the Trandoshan.

The lift took off with the three inside. "Look at Overcity dwellers. Soft." Indeed, the top of Coruscant was very clean and beautiful, and so were the people walking around. Even the seats in the new cab they got on was nearly immaculate. "It's a pity I don't get business up here. I would've moved here a long time ago if it wasn't for that.", Free-Eyes said softly. Finally, the cab touched down on a public landing pad, not a block away from the safehouse. "Ready, Jeedai?" Vinskk stepped out first, followed by the Gran and Kixi.
The pad was very clean, surprising seeing the amount of traffic that came in and out. Humans and aliens, beautiful and handsome, looked in disgust at the smelly Trandoshan and scruffy Gran. They were clearly not blending in. "Don't worry," Free-Eyes said. "I've got clothes for us at the house. It'll help to get around." He then led the way, the people clearing a path naturally.

Kixi felt more at home now. She could relate to her environment. Finally she could afford to relax a moment as she breathed some fresh air and took in the view. It reminded her of the Confederate capital, Hedstaden Sajna in which it occupied a third of the planet Terra Prime. What she was whitnessing now was similar, but to a much grander scale. "Awesome", she said softly and chuckled as she continued to follow the 2 aliens to the house.

The two aliens and the human continued, Free-Eyes leading the way. Their route was a scenic one, mostly avoiding the main walkways and instead cutting through alleys and matienence passageways. "Just a few more minutes," the Gran yelled, facing the way he was going. Vinskk stared at Kixi for a moment, then asked her softly, "What did Sith offer Kixi in cantina, before Vinskk got there?" Did he seem slightly concerned? Vinskk didn't know. Was he warming up to her or just getting soft?

"The Sith, he wanted to befriend me, well he made out that he did initially. He wanted me to join him. Wanted to train me in his way. He mentioned something about 2. No idea what he meant. He gave me the creeps. The dark side of the Force was very strong in him. That much I sensed and instantly I knew that had spelt trouble", Kixi calmly explained as they walked. She sounded younger than ever in her voice. Like a young innocent child. "Vinskk what can you tell me about the Sith?". Kixi wanted to know more. Afterall she had been sent blindly to search for a Sith Holocron by her master. Now she was having second doubts. But to defy her master? "Hmmmm can't do that she thought, but then again he hadn't been straight with me at all", Kixi felt cross. "A food for thought", she muttered to herself.

Vinskk shrugged and said, "Trandoshan told you everything Vinskk knows. Evil Jeedai." The Trandoshan clicked out of annoyance. What was he, her database? Everyone knew who the Jeedai and Sith were, even if it was just basic knowledge. A tense silence arrived, with Kixi clearly hearing Vinskk's frustrated tone. The quiet was broken by Free-Eyes, who called out, "The house is right here! Come on, we don't have all day!" Vinskk, grateful for the interruption, sped up to the Gran, reaching the entrance to a nice-looking shed.

Kixi just stood and watched as the 2 aliens changed into fresh clothes. "You look more civilised, you might pass for a local resident now", Kixi jokingly commented to Vinskk and giggled. She almost seemed like a kid. Laughing, getting excited over little things. The others probably wondered if she was insane. Afterall they were about to commit a serious crime, and she just seemed far too relaxed as if all were a joke. The 2 aliens were too busy getting ready that Vinskk didn't appear to have heard her. Or did he but had perhaps chosen to ignore her. Her bubbly childish like behaviour was perhaps starting to annoy him. She wasn't sure. She couldn't sense any conflict in him so assumed he was just busy. "So how long will it take to download the data I need once we are at a terminal", Kixi finally said breaking her silence.

[member="Vinskk Revamp"]

Free-Eyes laughed at the question. "Not any old terminal will do. I have to hook up to one connected to the source of the database. So, the least risky one would be one in the library. But I'm gonna need some deep cover for this chit. I mean, it's the karking Jedi Temple. We gotta play our parts perfectly. And I think I got just the thing. I'm the mechanic, sent to fix a broken terminal or whatever. Vinskk here is Trandoshan royalty. Step out, Vinskk." The Trandoshan came out of a separate room, looking quite dashing in a open purple vest, a red cape and loose, silk pants. "Vinskk feels unprotected. Trandoshan needs blaster." The Gran shook his head. "No guns. You'll blow our cover. Just act all haughty, like you normally do." The lizard was about to say something incredibly rude, but Free-Eyes cut him off and said to Kixi, "And you are gonna have to use some of that Force to make sure we don't get busted immediately. It might take me a while too...the info you want sounds like it'd be in the restricted area, accessible to only a select few. Might take me ten minutes, tops." He adjusted his mechanical outfit, complete with overalls and a tool pouch, and asked, "Any questions?"
[member="Kixi Rajki"]

"You look really handsome Vinskk", Kixi burst into laughter. "You can court beautiful Kixi now". She could see Vinskk clearly wasn't impressed. "Don't worry, you'll be well protected. You still have me, and my lightsabre is well concealed", Kixi added enthusiastically yet acting cocky at the same time. "Even that nasty Sith earlier on wasn't able to defect it", she added with confidence and a half grin smile. She removed her Katana from her back and her side arm. "I guess we'll be back for these later", placing them on a bench next to Vinskk's weapons. She looked at Free-Eyes, "No questions, I'm about as ready as I'm ever gonna be".

[member="Vinskk Revamp"]

Free-Eyes nodded, and Vinskk said, "Let us go then." They all exited the small house, the Gran locking the door behind them. He then stated, "I hope this works. We'll be arrested on the spot if it doesn't."
Walking the short distance to the Temple, Vinskk was displeased. No guns? What if they ran into that Sith again, before they got back to the house? And he felt ridiculous in his outfit. Sure, what he was wearing was the royal wear in Trandosha, but he was a far call from an aristocrat. The Trandoshan's manners were...subpar, at best. Hopefully he didn't have to talk much, or not many understanded his native tongue of Dosh. He then turned to Kixi and asked, slightly upset, "What is Human going to be?"
[member="Kixi Rajki"]

"Ha!" Kixi half laughed sarcastically. "What am I going to be he says". Kixi eyed Vinskk with a dumbfounded look and arms in the air. "How the heck am I supposed to know, I know very little about your galaxy's cultures and people. Perhaps you should tell me what I should be", Kixi frowned at the Trandoshan. "Oh and by the way, don't be concerned about not having your blaster or that Sith fool", she sighed with a tinge of annoyance in her voice, "You have me to protect you and I am still armed with my lightsabre and the Force for that matter. And one last thing", Kixi briefly looked up towards the sky and then back down again, "Mako has our backs covered", she finished with a cocky cheeky grin.

[member="Vinskk Revamp"]

He stared at here in disbelief. What the hell was she gonna tell the Jeedai? Never mind them, how was she even going to get past the Temple Guard? They were trained against mind tricks and had no error in their data about who was supposed to be there and not be there. Vinskk said, "This plan was suicide to begin with." Free-Eyes laughed and added, "Don't worry about it. I got an idea for her. Just, uh, be open to any suggestions, ok? This might be a bit...unorthodox." The Gran chuckled and rubbed the back of his head.
[member="Kixi Rajki"]

"Ummm", Kixi stopped walking a moment. "This is supposed to be a simple mission right?" All you need to do", pointing her arm and hand in Free-Eye's direction, "Is get me those names of Jedi and what they look like etc". She paused briefly and continued. "Once you have it we leave. Simple. Vinskk and I part ways with you, after I pay you that is", she nodded as a sign of respect to the Gran, "And then I select a suitable candidate for both Vinskk and myself to masquerade as". She could sense what Vinskk was thinking before he could speak. "How you ask......, well that is not a problem. My people have advanced holographic projectors. We simply clip one of those on our bodies, and then we are made to appear in the exact image of the person or persons we are pretending to be". Kixi took a deep breath. "Then Vinsk and I will return to the temple looking like Jedi", she quickly muttered, "Although I am a Jedi but not one of their Jedi.... umm never mind", she shook her own head and continued, "I will then proceed to access the restricted archives in the temple, retrieve at least one of the SIth Holocrons they have hidden away in there and leave. You see I have it all planned out unlike what I seem to be leading you to believe. So don't worry, it will all work out fine in the end. Trust me".

Then she added one last thing, "As long as they don't have any shields protecting the temple, Mako has our backs and will get us out of trouble if we can't get out ourselves. You see the way transporter technology, courtesy of the Asgard back home, works is like this", Kixi looked like an opera maestro at work the way her arms where moving as she tired to explain all this. "It locks on to our position, a beam of light will then encompass our entire body, it will then break us apart, down to the last atom or molecule and instantaneously take us somewhere else. In this case it will be my starship which is docked at the spaceport, once there, the transporter on that side will re-assemble us atom by atom. It's a quick and seemless experience and whoever tries and stop us will just see us vanish into thin air". She smiled giving another cocky gesture. "So don't worry, just do your part and I'll take care of the rest if all goes to crap". She gestured once more with her arms and hands in the direction of the temple, "So pretty please, with sugar on top, lets get this over and done with".

[member="Vinskk Revamp"]

Vinskk shook his head and the Gran replied, "I'll do my job and you'll do yours. Just don't get caught, 'cause I won't bail you out. Maybe Vinskk, but you?" The Trandoshan turned to look at Free-Eyes and said, "Treat Human as an extension of Vinskk." Free-Eyes threw up his hands and exclaimed, "Fine! I'll save the whole karkin' Hutt Cartel too!"
They reached the entrance to the Jedi Temple, guarded heavily by Temple Guards, armed and trained. "Here we go," the Trandoshan clicked....
