Faction The Next Step Forwards | The Final Dawn

MOSHED-2026-6-8-10-50-59-ezgif-com-crop.jpg

Murkhana has been pacified. With the dissolution of the Pro-CFW Government and the local militias scattered and broken, Imperial rule has returned to the once rebellious and defiant world. Martial law has been imposed across the planet as a new Imperial Governor has been appointed, tasked with tightening the Final Dawn’s grip over the planet and extinguishing the last vestiges of resistance left on the planet.

However, as the dust begins to settle on Murkhana there remains much to be accomplished on the side of the Final Dawn. Dozens of former Imperial Worlds remain under the thumb of the corrosive Confederacy of Free Worlds while others continue to suffer from the wrath of the Mandalorians and the Sith.

If the future of the Final Dawn and, by extension, Imperialism is to be secured, then a proper plan of action must be devised to ensure the proper reclamation of former Imperial worlds and the consolidation of the Final Dawn’s position in the Outer Rim in the face of its many adversaries.

MOSHED-2026-6-8-10-51-19-ezgif-com-crop.jpg

While Murkhana might be secure for the time being, the Final Dawn has many obstacles to overcome if it is to emerge as a major force that can challenge the new galactic status quo. From the lingering Confederacy of Free Worlds, to the many emerging Imperial Warlords, to the mighty Galactic Governments that have sought to suppress Imperialism across the galaxy, the future of the Final Dawn cannot remain secure as long as these forces continue to stand against it.

As such, the Supreme Commander has summoned various high-ranking members of the Final Dawn to Cholganna. There, a summit will be held to discuss the various strategies that could be implemented to ensure the ultimate triumph of the Final Dawn against the many adversaries that it will inevitably face in the coming conflict as it moves to bring forth the ultimate resurgence of Imperialism across the galaxy.

Despite the collapse of the local Pro-CFW Government and the restoration of Imperial rule on Murkhana, there remain various scattered local militias who continue to resist the rule of the Final Dawn across the planet. If the Final Dawn’s hold on Murkhana is to become permanent, then these last pockets of resistance must be crushed and swept away once and for all.

As Imperial ground forces are deployed en masse across Murkhana, their orders from High Command are clear and simple. Destroy any rebel militia you come across through any means necessary and leave no survivors, for an example must be made to those who dare to stand against the Final Dawn.

Mimkin's Imperial Remnant | The Final Dawn

The campaign for Murkhana was not much of a tactical victory for the Final Dawn as the Rebel Fleet had managed to reorganize itself after finding itself isolated from any assistance from the wider Confederacy of Free Worlds though they had managed to occupy the planet without taking to many casualties on the surface.

The Flight of Fancy however had taken superficial damage along its hull during the battle but nothing that a few days in the local drydocks could not fix. The fact of the matter was as he approached the blast doors of the council chamber was that the Supreme Commander Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen had allowed it to happen, his precious flagship put in danger because their supposed leader was to busy making grand speeches then assisting with the naval engagement.

He entered the chamber with little ceremony as the Left Head raised his chin proudly, allowing the folds underneath his head to jiggle. He moved his unoccupied hand to his chest to brush some specks of dust from his medals, mostly unearned but a few that he had managed to snag while working for the Dark Empire.

"The Most Bountiful Warlord of the Five Points System, Admiral Vortigern Mimkin has arrived on time," he declared in a arrogant tone, while the Right Head nodded in agreement. It was irrelevant that others had come before him; what mattered was that he was present now to represent his power bloc at this unexpected summit.

"We're running behind schedule," the Right Head whispered, his tone noticeably softer. He kept his eyes down, observing the subtle movement of the members of the Final Dawn's High Command.

"Everyone is already in their seats. Just look at them. They aren't even looking our way." The Left Head's eye began to twitch in annoyance at the suggestion that they were running behind before pulling out the chair for them to sit on.

Aurelian had not been to the Known Galaxy for about a year, the collapse of the Galactic Empire having left clarity and conviction in him. In his retreat to Iokath he had been planning and recuperating his powers and forces, depleted but not as badly as those of other followers of the Empire due to his refusal to commit to the Galaxy-unifying attack on Atrisia. And yet it was a disaster on every front. Once more the Imperials proved to be everything but interested in unity, Warlords, even a brief emergence of an Emperor, it was disappointing. Hence why this time he sent followers out to evaluate and report on various remnants.

He did not see them as separate pieces anymore. It was a waste of time. Even when they insisted on their uniqueness and rightfulness, they were nothing but bickering siblings.

The Final Dawn and Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen were active since before Aurelian fought for the New Imperial Order against the Sith Empire and he knew the man for some time now. He felt an obligation to attend this meeting himself. The parting with the Confederation was no concern of him, he followed his beliefs, as he always had, and now did as well. Though to Aurelian something had changed, something fundamental, something within him that changed his outlook on Imperialism. And he hoped he could spread that sentiment now.

The Vehemence arrived in the Cholganna System, it's entry point and path coinciding with the station the Avenger was assigned to - unlikely to be by chance. They flew past and directly towards the Imperial world, dipping into the atmosphere and following the clearances and communications indicated to finally land in one of the hangars. Imperial structures were built as much to show off as they were to last. This specimen of a headquarters was impressive and yet very typical for anything Imperial in nature. Sularen had made sure to maintain Imperialness.

The large figure of Aurelian emerged from the ramp of the shuttle, a ship clearly designed to fit him despite its common appearance, it was larger than usual. Two individuals followed him, one very tall female and a more ordinary sized human. The woman was in enclosed in a golden armor with black cape, carrying the long hilt of a lightsaber-pike, while the man was dressed in a red and black uniform in Imperial style.

The Zakuulan led them on, following an aide that brought them to the meeting room.

Calin had been here for a few days now, recovering with his fleet after their withdrawal from the Confederation's collapse. He hadn't been very active as the Final Dawn began its movements around the sector, attempting to cement itself as the new player for Imperialism in the galaxy.

While his fleet was making repairs and performing maintenance and supply work in the sector, Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen had called a meeting. Calin made sure he was available, as the new direction the Dawn would take was of great interest to him.

Calin had arrived at the meeting slightly early, which turned out to be a good thing as his comm-unit had buzzed not long after he had arrived.

"We've swept the ships bow to stern, we're clean, sir," his XO informed him, "We've also done extensive integration among the crew that is left. Those that are...questionable...have been singled out and their files put into a dossier for your viewing."

"Good work," Calin replied, "We'll-" Calin was cut off as the door to the conference room opened, allowing a two-headed being to walk inside.

"The Most Bountiful Warlord of the Five Points System, Admiral Vortigern Mimkin has arrived on time,"
This was Vortigern Mimkin. While Calin had little idea of who the man was or his history, he wouldn't be a good Imperial if he hadn't at least dug up the likely members who were going to be present for this meeting. Still, the man's unsightly appearance and his mumbling to himself between his two heads made Calin's lip twitch.

Before Calin could address his XO, another individual arrived. Fair-skinned and clad in ornate armor, he was a commanding presence in the room. This individual Calin was not familiar with, and his brow furrowed as he watched these two. Two unknowns who were not involved in the Confederation, but were now arriving with the Dawn. He began to wonder what their angle was, only to realize his XO was waiting for him to reply.

"We'll continue soon, keep up the plans," Calin said briskly as he ended the call and turned his attention back to the meeting room.

FLEET ADMIRAL VORIN ZONILL
CHOLGANNA, FINAL DAWN TERRITORY
OBJECTIVE I: PLANNING THE FUTURE

The MIN Collateral Star and its escort arrived over Cholganna without much fanfare or ceremony. Yet, its presence above the planet was undeniable, and the message that it was sending was clear.

You need us more than we need you.

Whether or not that was actually true remained to be seen, but what was clear to see was that the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant had been quite busy after the breakup of the Imperial Confederation, acquiring new models of ships, reorganizing its armed forces and spreading its power and influence all across the Outer Rim. Mahporeem was continuing to expand its reach all across the galaxy, and for the moment, they had done so without too much assistance from the Final Dawn. Still, with the ever increasing proliferation of false Imperial factions and the inability of the High Republic to contain the expansion of the Sith and Mandalorians, the Imperial Remnant very much realized the value in having as many allies as it could get.

Thus the Imperial Remnant would answer the call of Supreme Commander Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen and attend his meeting on Cholganna. To say that the fate of the galaxy weighed on their shoulders was no exaggeration.

Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen ...a competent and skilled naval commander who had led the Imperial Confederation throughout most of its victories and quite a few of its defeats. He had gone from ridding the galaxy of the Third Death Star to indirectly causing the collapse of the Confederation due to his inability to reign in his subordinates and his own imperious actions. Yet without him and the things he had accomplished, the Imperial Remnant would not be where it was today, and for that Mahporeem owed the man a massive debt of gratitude. That was why the Imperial Remnant had invested itself so heavily in Marlon's project, and would do everything in their power to support his vision and ensure his conquests of the greater galaxy.

Fleet Admiral Vorin Zonill descended toward the surface of the planet aboard a Vureykri T-1 Shuttle, escorted by a pair of QIE/FN starfighters. It didn't take him long to land and find the conference room, where Saone Nola-bay Saone Nola-bay , Aurelian Sigismund Aurelian Sigismund and Calin Rakel Calin Rakel were already sitting.

"Gentlemen", Zonill offered as he want to take his seat before casting his gaze toward Mimkin. What...what the hell? Had Mimkin ALWAYS had two heads? Or was this some more recent development? With all the genetic modification technology available throughout the galaxy, it wouldn't surprise Zonill to learn that Minkin had taken something to grow a second head. Or perhaps he had always been a two headed being, and Zonill had simply never noticed? At least Sigismund and Rakel still seemed like their normal selves.

Somewhat disturbed, Zonill sat down as he waited for the Supreme Commander to begin the meeting.

Objective I - Planning the Future

FINAL DAWN
CHOLGANNA, OUTER RIM TERRITORIES

So far, everything was proceeding exactly as Sularen planned. Murkhana had been pacified, and the Final Dawn was slowly emerging as a major player among the various scattered Imperial Remnants across the galaxy. However, the Final Dawn needed to keep its momentum and most importantly, have a proper understanding of what its goals were and the steps that were needed to accomplish them. Without a clear vision and a proper plan of action, the Final Dawn would only suffer the same fate as the Dark Empire and the Imperial Confederation, and Sularen had no intention of repeating the very same mistakes that had once doomed the last two Imperial Regimes he had once led.

As such, this Conference had been called to set into motion the vision and plans that would shape the future of the Final Dawn. While Sularen was well-versed in both strategy and tactics, he understood that he couldn't accomplish much without equally-skilled individuals. No matter how many plans and schemes he'd devise, without a strong core of consistently capable and reliable individuals at his side, any move he'd make would inevitably fail. It was a lesson he had learned with both the Dark Empire and the Imperial Confederation, having failed to establish a strong core within both Imperial regimes. But now with the Final Dawn, Sularen had the means to rectify these mistakes.

Once everyone had taken their seats around the conference table, Marlon Sularen proceeded to speak up to begin the summit. "Now that everyone is here, we can begin," he proclaimed. "I'm sure that you are all aware of the state of the galaxy: the Mandalorians and Sith roam freely, torching dozens of worlds, while the High Republic and their Jedi lackeys sit around and do nothing, trying to play fair in a galaxy that plays dirty. I restored the Final Dawn to offer the galaxy an alternative to the Sith, the Republic and the Mandalorians, something that could bring order to this chaotic galaxy."

"We have already proven that we have the potential to accomplish a lot, but we are limited in our capabilities," the Supreme Commander continued. "I invited you here so that we can lay out the foundations for something greater and set the stage for the proper revitalization of Imperial across the galaxy. To accomplish this, we must overcome various threats that will seek to prevent any Imperial revitalization, and as such we would require a proper course of action that is swift and efficient, and would create the proper conditions for the establishment of a proper Imperial state," he explained. "That being said I am open to hearing what ideas you have in mind for the future of Imperialism."

The council chamber felt smaller than Vortigern had expected, the atmosphere becoming tense under the weight of renewed Imperial ambition. He pulled the chair out with a soft screech against the surface of the floor, allowing his frame to rest comfortably. The Left Head leaned back, arms folding across his chest, the gold braid on his epaulettes gleaming in the harsh overhead light.

"We are sitting ducks," the Right Head whispered, the voice thin and reedy. His eyes flickered toward the other high-ranking officers, then back down to his own shaking hands. He pulled a crumpled handkerchief from his pocket and started twisting it into a tight knot. The Left Head's mustache twitched. He leaned over and gave the Right Head a sharp, stinging jab to the ribs with his elbow.

"Be quiet," he growled low in his throat, then instantly plastered a wide, arrogant grin back onto his face. He turned to the Supreme Commander Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen as his speech came to an end, opening the floor to a discussion about the future of Imperialism in the galaxy. Vortigern thought for a moment his two brains working as quickly as possible to come up with an appropriate response.

"Supreme Commander Sularen, the future of Imperialism can't be discussed without focusing on the alliance between the Mandalorians lead by Mand'alor the Iron and the High Republic. As long as they are working together, we are going to struggle to build anything that last due to them having vastly superior forces to our own." The Left Head explained with a small gesture of his hand.

Knowing that any discussion about Imperialism was a fool's errand until they figured out how to deal with the Mandalorian-Republic Alliance as they were the only thing stopping the rise of a new wave of Imperial sentiment across the galaxy. "They have more ships than we do," the Right Head muttered, his voice barely audible as he wiped a bead of sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand.

"And they aren't afraid to use them. We're overextended, and if we anger the wrong people, we won't have anywhere to retreat." The Left Head slammed his palm onto the table, the heavy thud making the water glasses vibrate. "Nonsense!" he bellowed, though his voice cracked slightly on the last syllable. He quickly cleared his throat, trying to regain his composure.

"We need to strike where they are weak, not where they expect us to be. We need to dismantle their supply lines. Without the Mandalorians backing them up, the Republic will fold." The Right Head looked down at his reflection in the glossy black table. He appeared small and frightened, a stark contrast to the grand image the Left Head was trying to project..

Sector Commander Myra Vanek sat quietly for a moment after Supreme Commander Sularen concluded his opening remarks, allowing the weight of the discussion to settle across the chamber. The Supreme Commander was not wrong. The galaxy was changing.

The old powers had fractured. New powers were emerging. Ancient enemies had returned to relevance while entire regions once considered stable had become battlegrounds of ideology, ambition, and survival. Yet as Myra listened to the assessments offered thus far, she found herself focusing on what had not been said.

When she finally spoke, her tone was calm and measured, carrying the practiced authority of an officer who had spent years studying the slow collapse of governments from the frontier inward.

"Supreme Commander, while I agree with your assessment of the larger strategic landscape, I would caution against focusing solely on threats capable of altering the fate of the entire galaxy." Her eyes swept briefly across the assembled directors and officers. "History has repeatedly shown that governments rarely fall because of a single overwhelming enemy. More often they are weakened by a thousand smaller pressures that go unnoticed until they become impossible to ignore."

Myra folded her hands before her. "New Alderaan serves as a useful example." Her expression remained neutral. "A decade ago the notion of openly discussing democratic governance within territories once loyal to Imperial rule would have been unthinkable. Today they are actively pursuing elections and representative government."

The words were not spoken as criticism. They were spoken as fact. "The significance is not whether their experiment succeeds. The significance is that the conversation exists at all." She paused. "Across former Imperial territories similar debates are beginning to emerge. Citizens who once accepted centralized authority without question are now willing to publicly discuss alternatives."

Her gaze shifted toward Admiral Vorin Zonill. "And not all Imperial movements have chosen to rally beneath the Final Dawn's banner." The statement was diplomatic. Deliberately so.

"There remain governments, military organizations, successor states, and local authorities pursuing their own visions for the future. Some may eventually align with us. Others may not." She leaned back slightly. "If our objective is long-term stability, then those developments deserve as much attention as any major galactic power."

Her eyes returned to the room as a whole. "Especially when we consider the wider region beyond our borders." Recent events had made that impossible to ignore. "The collapse of old Imperial authority has left entire sectors in political uncertainty. Opportunists, regional coalitions, independent worlds, corporate interests, local defense movements, and emerging governments are all attempting to fill the vacuum."

A faint frown crossed her features. "Chaos rarely remains empty for long." Myra allowed the observation to linger before continuing. "My recommendation is simple. We should certainly prepare for major powers. But we must also monitor the countless smaller actors reshaping the territories around us. Today's regional movement can become tomorrow's strategic concern. Likewise, today's potential rival may become tomorrow's ally."

Her gaze settled briefly upon Sularen once more. "The frontier is changing, Supreme Commander. And not all of the forces shaping that change are carrying fleets large enough to appear on our strategic maps."

CHOLGANNA - OUTER RIM

Regulus entered the council chamber unannounced, the blast doors sealing shut behind him. He maneuvered his functional arm to position the chair behind him, enabling him to participate in the conversation without needing to apologize for his tardiness. His crippled and deformed arm rested cautiously on the table, a mere afterthought; he had long since adapted to the persistent dull pain that coursed through his veins due to his re-engineered body.
His small eyes scanned the table once, taking note of every face to remind himself of the individuals he was up against. The Moffship of Kessel had no interest in an Imperial Alliance that failed to produce results, and there were even whispers of a new empire rising, known as the Imperial Authority. Perhaps they would be the architects of a New Imperial Regime, or maybe the Final Dawn would, it all came down to this one summit.
Regulus's head barely moved as Admiral Saone Nola-bay Saone Nola-bay two heads bickered and blustered, then the Sector Commander Myra Vanek Myra Vanek came into the picture to lay out her measured cautions. The Moff's expression remained unchanged as he noted internally that Mimkin's insecurity was wrapped in arrogance, and Vanek's preference for numerical analysis.
Both had their place, but neither grasped the larger equation. When the pause after Vanek's words stretched long enough, he spoke with a low tone of voice, each word chosen carefully to explain his position without revealing his own ambitions to the rest of High Command.
"Supreme Commander," he began, addressing Sularen directly, "Commander Vanek is correct that small fractures can undermine a structure over time. However, fractures only matter if they are allowed to spread." His tiny eyes shifted to Myra for a brief, unblinking moment before returning to the head of the table.
"The frontier will always produce noise. The Mandalorian-Republic partnership is not merely a threat; it is the dominant variable. While we monitor the lesser actors, we should also identify which of them can be made useful, either as buffers, proxies, or future assets once the major obstacle is removed." His clawed fingers tapped once against the table, as he explained his viewpoint that the Mandalorians and Republic was the most pressing concern. The lesser Imperial Governments could be brought to heel through a selective campaign of diplomacy and force.
"A surgical campaign to disrupt their coordination, paired with selective diplomacy among the warlords and regional powers, would serve us better than broad observation. We do not need the entire galaxy to love us. We only need them to fear defying us more than they fear the alternatives." He leaned back slightly, the gold of his epaulettes catching the light, and fell silent again. The weight of his eyes remained on the table, patient as if the discussion had simply been adjusted to its proper course.

FLEET ADMIRAL VORIN ZONILL
CHOLGANNA, FINAL DAWN TERRITORY
OBJECTIVE I: PLANNING THE FUTURE

Zonill listened on with interest as each Imperial Officer spoke on their concerns for the present and their ideas for the future. For the most part, two particular items dominated the conversation: the threat of the Sith-Mandalorian Alliance, and the threat of insurgent groups operating within former Imperial territory. Both valid concerns, though in Zonill's mind the Sith and Mandalorians certainly took precedence over some backwater insurgents playing liberator throughout the Outer Rim.

Still, Zonill couldn't shake his thoughts from the Wild Space Rebellion Terrorists and the Confederacy of Free Worlds, along with the comment that Myra Vanek Myra Vanek had made while looking at him. What exactly was she talking about? Mahporeem itself? The First Order, still hiding out in the Unknown Regions? The nascent Imperial Reclamation Authority, yet another false pretender to the Imperial title? There were far to many possibilities to consider, though Zonill had no intention of clarifying Vanek's point. Instead, he stood up from his chair and began to address those present.

"If I may?", he began, "it seems that everyone here has valid concerns over what course of action we should take over the upcoming months. Granted, the Sith and Mandalorians by far remain our most tangible threat, but the possibility of other outside elements interfering with our plans cannot be overlooked. So this is what I'd like to propose. A two pronged assault on our enemies, utilizing a mixture of conventional and unconventional means to defeat our foes wherever they may pop up."

"Firstly, Mahporeem will eliminate any resurgent criminal, terrorist, or imposter organizations that seek to spread throughout our former territory using both military force and economic incentives to ensure that such groups do not gain any footholds within our sphere of influence for the foreseeable future. After all, our success on Doan indicates that such a strategy can be viable, and the sooner we strike, the more easily we'll be able to reestablish our presence throughout the galaxy while simultaneously eliminating rival groups. Of course, any one here who wishes to join us in our campaigns is more than welcome to. For my part, I intend to invite Illithor Du'thra Illithor Du'thra , Alex Stern Alex Stern and Tertius C. Nargath Tertius C. Nargath to assist us with such efforts. Sure the allure of credits to be made will incentivize them to join with us?"

"Secondly, we begin an overt propaganda campaign aimed at shattering the alliance between the High Republic and Mandalorian Empire by publicly spreading tales and footage of Mandalorian war crimes and cooperation with the Sith. We turn public opinion against them, and set ourselves up as paradigms of order, the only faction capable of turning chaos into stability. Given the berth of records that we have on the Mandalorians and the evidence of their wrongdoings, creating such a campaign against them shouldn't prove to be too much of a problem. Getting an audience with Dominique Vexx Dominique Vexx and her chancellors, however, might be. My contact Tryvge Hakon Tryvge Hakon may be able to help with this, but I recommend that we secure a neutral party to work on our behalf, or failing that, one of our...shall we say, less "controversial" officers to lead the diplomatic effort. Perhaps someone like Calin Rakel Calin Rakel ? My personal aide Prystill Oasay Prystill Oasay can brief you on the finer details of such an effort if needed."

"Now, I want to make this clear. While I understand that terrorizing the galaxy and its citizens might prove to be the easier option, we need long term sustainability and public opinion in our favor. If we are to do this, we must be seen as the BEST alternative, better than the Sith or Mandalorians or High Republic. We must show the galaxy that we have the best interests of our subjects at heart, and that our methods are the most effective in securing long term peace and prosperity for our people. We CANNOT, under any circumstances, afford any more diplomatic incidents of any kind. There can be no more mistakes!"

Stone-grey eyes scanned the present individuals as he had slowly paced from the entrance to a chair that seemed to suit his needs. Heavy clanking accompanied the movement of the tall individual, the plates of his ornate armour, the sabatons hitting the floor, it offered as much insight to his weight as it did to his composure. With audible protests the chair accepted his weight and the Zakuulan sat down. The uniformed figure took the seat next to him and the plate-clad woman stood at attention a few paces behind them, both silent.

Aurelian listened. His attention shifting to the figure who spoke already laying out his words in advance.

"Supreme Commander, fellow Imperials. I hear your proposals and I hear repetition, I hear the echo of the past attempting to overtake the presence once more and with that introducing another short-lived, short-sighted Imperial rejuvenation just to suffer another, slowly degrading collapse."

"Imperialism is in the worst condition and position since a very long time. Atrisia was not a disaster because it was a defeat to the Galactic Empire, but because Imperials fought Imperials, because the whole Galaxy united to oppose the dominant Imperial regime. Yet in those ashes can be found a new beginning. One without the twisted, corrupting influences of the Sith, the unnecessary terror and ridiculous policies of the fanatical followers of Solipsis, nor the lackluster alternative implementation of the New Order that was seen in the Confederation."

"The New Order does not require fraction, division and competition between its doctrines. It requires unity of purpose. The other warlords are not the enemies of the Final Dawn, they are its natural allies. No matter their political ideology. Tarkinism, Neo-Imperialism, Felism can and should co-exist to address the diverse problems our Empires face. We need terror, indoctrination and diplomacy all the same. Limited to one, we create the foundations for our own disabilities and shortcomings."

He paused as he looked from face to face.

"You set your eyes on the Republic and its Jedi followers. Why? Because you have fought them in the past? Because the original Empire replaced them? They are right now not our natural enemies. The fall of the Galactic Empire has shown that without alliances one will quickly be lost. The fall of the Galactic Empire and Dark Empire have shown that it is not a leader figure which should hold the Empire together. The fall of the New Imperial Order has shown that if the purpose of unity, the archenemy, is gone, unity will crumble."

"We cannot afford to blindly follow in the footsteps of these Empires. We cannot point at the Light or Dark side and shout enemy. We have to shout at both. And at none. The Sith are the predominant threat to the Galaxy as of right now. Solipsis, Carnifex, Empyrean, Talon, Prazutis - they are the scourge of order, tyrants out of passion. The bane of civilisation. And even if we deem Jedi and Democrats blind, see their hypocrisy and condemn it, we cannot forsake our only chance at an alliance for the Sith will not settle with us. Democracy is far easier to turn on, to eviscerate from within and without."

Aurelian's gaze briefly moves to Myra.

"The emerging political parties are an opportunity. Not to crush, but to cooperate. To have an example of Imperial willingness to co-exist. If we just crush such, we will lose it. And we will lose a potential partner. We cannot trust Sith, nor should place our confidence in Jedi - but a government that is lead by ideals of institutions, just like ours, should not be discarded as a mere adversary of convenience for the time being. We are too weak, too spread out and bickering like siblings."

"We do not have the luxury to repeat the mistakes of the past."

Calin listened as the others in the room, even latecomers, said their piece. Some statements were hot off the forge, ready to grab the nearest Star Destroyer and engage the enemy that was apparently at the door.

Others called for an approach that was slightly more similar to Calins, not necessarily a hesitant approach, but one that would secure the Dawn's own holdings before emptying their worlds to fight a threat that probably didn't even know they were there.

"I believe many a good point has been raised so far, whether I agree with them wholeheartedly or not," Calin said respectfully, nodding his head towards the other members. "I see new faces at this table, ready to wage war, and relight the Imperial fire that burns in everyone, whether they know it or not."

"However," Calin held up a finger as he continued, "We must not rush to our own demise. The Republic and Mandalorians are a concern for us at this point, why? They have cemented their position in the galaxy as strong entities, with extensive territory and large numbers of ships and warriors. Our nascent Remnant has most definitely not."

Calin turned his head, nodding briefly toward Myra Vanek Myra Vanek and Aurelian Sigismund Aurelian Sigismund

"I believe you both bring up great points, and echo my own thoughts in some aspects. I will not reiterate your words as you have said them better than I can voice them myself. But I would also like to express my beliefs. We must get our feet beneath ourselves, engage with those other remnants still around us that were once part of the Confederation, who may now be looking for a strong hand to bring them back into the fold."

"The Final Dawn has advanced our plans on Murkhana and is beginning to unfold in this corner of the galaxy, but we remain a young organization. Our territories, fleets, command structures, and institutions are still developing. We speak of confronting the Republic and the Mandalorians, of countering rival movements, and of expanding our influence. Yet, I would argue that our greatest priority at present should be ensuring that what we are beginning to build is capable of enduring."

Calin continued, "Engaging the enemy in a two-pronged assault, as Zonill has suggested, allows those of us hungry for action to begin our campaigns, albeit in a mitigated manner. Propaganda campaigns, deep recon missions, probing strikes into the nearby Imperial remnant zones, and diplomacy can begin without a full-fledged assault. Bringing the might of the Republic and the Mandalorians to our doorstep at this point, I do not think it is a wise decision. At the same time as we do these missions, we secure our own front door and prepare."

Calin nodded at Zonill, "I appreciate the favor cast in my direction for diplomacy, however, I am not a very eloquent man and do not believe I will be a boon to you in these diplomatic talks. But I am a military man through and through; if I am needed to engage with and further our cause, whether it's militarily or diplomatically, I will do so."

Calin's eyes lost focus as he finished saying his thoughts, not entirely pleased with himself, as there were other points to be made, but also wanting ideas bounced back at him from the others in the room as to what he had already said. He thought of the myriad ways they could advance from here, unsure what the right decision was. Lighting a fire in the galaxy might draw more bodies and power to their cause, but it could also cause the boot to stomp them out, when they did not have the forces yet to stop it.

Mika Tai En remained where she had been since the meeting began, half-hidden in shadow and content to let others fill the room with words. There had been plenty of those. Strategies. Political calculations. Future alignments. Potential allies. Emerging movements. Opportunities.

Useful things, she supposed. Necessary things. But they were not the things she understood best. Mika's gaze drifted across the assembled Imperials. Sularen spoke of foundations and visions. Mimkin spoke of cooperation and political opportunities. Others dissected threats and adversaries as if the galaxy could be organized neatly on a chart.

Perhaps they were right.

The Final Dawn could not afford to charge blindly into every conflict. The old Empire had taught that lesson enough times. Every failed regime had wanted to take before it had secured what it already possessed. Still. A part of her hated sitting still.

Murkhana had been taken. The enemy had been broken. That made sense to her. Territory. Resources. Industry. Shipyards. Garrison worlds. Things that could be counted and held.

The rest felt distant. Plans for plans. Schemes for schemes. Necessary. But distant.

She folded her arms across her chest and finally spoke. Her voice was calm, carrying just enough to be heard around the table. "Everyone wants to talk about what we'll take." Mika shrugged. "Seems simple enough to me."

Her eyes moved from one speaker to the next. "Build first." A brief pause. "Industry. Fleets. Supply lines. Loyal worlds." Then the faintest hint of a smile crossed her face. "And when we've built enough..."

Her gaze hardened. "Take." Silence followed for a moment. "Build and then take."

As the debate unfolded around him, Vortigern shifted in his seat, the leather creaking beneath his weight. He had little choice but to listen, though even now the two heads warred in silence over who would carry the conversation. The Left Head, driven by an insatiable hunger for glory and the terror of being forgotten, bristled at every call for caution. His mustache twitched as his face darkened, the critique settling over him like an insult he refused to swallow.

"The Sith are a cancer, yes," he boomed at last, his voice dropping from its earlier airy bombast into something harder, rougher, and far more severe. "But even cancer can be cauterized, Sigismund. You speak of alliances as though the Sith are merely difficult neighbors. They are a plague on the galaxy and to suggest we should seek common ground with institutions already being undermined is naive."

Yet the Right Head clung desperately to the words of Calin Rakel Calin Rakel and Mika Tai En Mika Tai En , eyes darting around the room, first to the Zakuulan and then to Mika Tai En, as though their arguments might somehow steady the storm inside him. He straightened in his chair, the gold cords on his shoulders tightening as he puffed out his chest, and brought his palm down hard against the polished obsidian table.

"Build first? We have been building for months!" he thundered, his voice carrying the practiced force of a man determined to sound unshakable. He jabbed a gloved finger toward the holoprojector.

"We hold Murkhana. We hold our sectors. But while we build in silence, the Republic and the Mandalorians do not idle. They cement their influence day by day. Every moment we delay, we are not merely securing ourselves, we are giving them time to build an iron wall we may never break through." Beneath the table, however, the Right Head was a frantic wreck. He wrung his handkerchief so tightly the fabric seemed ready to tear, his knuckles gone stark white.

Every stare in the room pressed down on him, and he could feel the shared heart in their chest hammering with an erratic beating. Don't let them see us sweating, he pleaded inwardly, his eyes fixed on a scratch in the obsidian. Just agree with the ones who want to stay put. If we start a war now, we'll be the first ones vaporized. The Left Head ignored the silent panic entirely. Instead, he turned toward Zonill, his left eye pulsing with a nervous spasm he tried to mask by sharply adjusting his oversized uniform.

"I accept your two-pronged assault, Admiral," he declared, his voice flattening into a authoritative tone. "Kinetic strikes are the language the Republic understands. Let the others debate the merits of propaganda or diplomacy. The Imperial Armada will provide the sword." Then his attention shifted back toward Calin Rakel, his expression hardening into a mask of iron-willed focus.

"Rakel is right about one thing: we must be capable of enduring. But endurance is not achieved by cowering behind our own borders. It is achieved by forcing the enemy to look over their shoulder." The Right Head said nothing. A bead of sweat slid coldly down his spine, slow and torturous. He kept his chin lowered, trying to make himself smaller within the ornate uniform, while the Left Head continued to glare across the table, straining to project the image of a warlord in complete command.

CHOLGANNA - OUTER RIM

Regulus sat motionless as the discussion unfolded around him, the black claws of his functional hand resting lightly on the table's edge while his crippled arm remained draped across his lap. His tiny eyes tracked each speaker in turn, following the thread of the conversation as it passed from Zonill's ambitious two-pronged strategy to Aurelian's appeal for Imperial unity, then onward through Calin's measured caution, Mika's blunt pragmatism, and finally Vortigern's contradictory bluster.

The longer he listened, the more familiar the pattern became. What was intended as an Imperial Summit was beginning to resemble the old Galactic Alliance Senate: an endless procession of speeches, competing visions, and carefully worded disagreements that consumed valuable time while larger threats gathered beyond the horizon.

Regulus had seen where such habits led. Debate had its place, but debate without direction had helped paralyze governments during the rise of both the Dark Empire and the later Galactic Empire. The room needed someone capable of drawing the conversation back toward a defined end goal.

Whether that responsibility belonged to the Supreme Commander was another matter entirely. Given Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen service record, Regulus judged that observation best left unspoken. When Vortigern finally concluded, a brief silence settled across the chamber.

Leaning forward slightly, he allowed the gold of his epaulettes to catch the overhead light, his narrow nose casting a sharp shadow across his pale features. When he spoke, his voice carried with measured precision rather than force.

"Supreme Commander. The proposals before us contain merit. However, several overlook the realities of our current position." His clawed fingers tapped once against the tabletop with a deliberate click.

"The Imperials of today have already attempted direct confrontation with the Sith during the invasion of the Holy Worlds, led by you, if I am not mistaken. That effort failed. It is therefore more strategic to direct resources toward opponents who can actually be killed than toward adversaries who presently function as immortals." He paused briefly, allowing the statement to settle. The Sith would never be destroyed through external pressure.

Their greatest enemy had always been themselves. History demonstrated as much. One immortal Sith would inevitably destroy another long before any conventional military campaign succeeded in doing so. With that foundation established, Regulus shifted his attention toward Admiral Zonill.

"Admiral Zonill's two-pronged approach possesses value in its structure, provided its kinetic elements remain limited and surgical. Broad confrontation with the Republic-Mandalorian pact at this stage would be inefficient. Consolidation must come first. We identify the fracture points within their alliance, as Commander Vanek suggested, and then widen those fractures through selective pressure." He glanced around the table, lingering just long enough on each face to make clear that every person present was being assessed. Only then did his attention settle upon Sigismund.

"Unity among Imperial factions is desirable, Lord Sigismund, but only when it serves a functional hierarchy. Sentiment alone will not sustain us." His crippled arm shifted slightly, the movement stiff and unnatural. If it caused him pain, no trace of it reached his expression. Leaning back into his chair once more, he folded his clawed hand neatly over the other and resumed his silent observation of the room, having delivered his assessment and left the others to decide whether wisdom or ambition would guide the Empire's future.

Objective I - Planning the Future

FINAL DAWN
CHOLGANNA, OUTER RIM TERRITORIES

Sularen listened as the discussion went forward with everyone presenting their ideas and debating over each benefit and flaw each idea possessed. It reminded Sularen of those Senate sessions back during his brief time in the Galactic Alliance with those back-and-forth debates amongst Senators. At least with Imperials, the final decision wasn't dictated by a mere vote but by its potential effectiveness in advancing its cause. It was the one advantage Imperial Regimes possessed but failed to leverage in recent days: the ability to bypass bureaucratic systems and take action against their foes as soon as possible.

However, at this point, Sularen felt that he had allowed this debate to drag on for far too long to the point that it had lost any productivity, reduced to nothing but constant noise. Everyone had presented their ideas and the merits of said ideas; as the Supreme Commander, it was up to Sularen to decide which ideas could be incorporated with his own to advance his ultimate vision for the future of Imperialism, the only vision for Imperialism worth pursuing.

"I believe everyone here has made valid points so far," Sularen spoke up, moving forth to establish his stance on the matter. "The pact between the High Republic and the Mandalorians, along with the existence of various rival Imperial groups, does present a major obstacle to our plans, but as some of you have already suggested, that is an issue that can be solved with both diplomacy and subterfuge," he began. "We compromise and negotiate with those who are willing to listen and understand, while quietly replacing those unwilling to do so with more reasonable individuals, without compromising the structure and integrity of the Final Dawn. Any military offensive against either the Republic, the Mandalorians or the other Imperial Remnants should only happen as a last resort, if we are fully certain that any sort of agreement with these groups cannot be established." he continued.

"However, there is another variable that has been overlooked here, which only Admiral Zonill and Commander Vanek briefly mentioned: Rebels. Groups like the Confederacy of Free Worlds and the Wild Space Rebellion that have sought to incite popular resistance against the resurgence of Imperialism." Sularen further proclaimed. "I'd argue that the threat they pose is greater than that of the Republic, the Mandalorians and the other Imperials, because at the very least those groups would be open to the idea of diplomacy, while these Rebels would not even entertain the idea of sitting at the same table with an Imperial," the Supreme Commander further explained.

"For the time being, our military should be focused on eradicating these groups and their allies, wherever they might be, to ensure that they won't pose a threat to the revitalized Imperial State. This will have the double benefit of giving our forces much-needed combat experience but also improving our standing amongst the other Imperial Factions by showing that we are capable of taming the chaos against a foe that thrives in spreading it," he added.

"That being said, now that we have set our objectives. Now what we'll need is the strategy to accomplish said objectives in an efficient manner and within a reasonable timeframe. Things such as where do we start and what resources and assets can we leverage to achieve our goals." Once he finished speaking, Sularen simply clapped his hands and relaxed his shoulders a bit, giving the others their opportunity to speak, eager to see how each of them would approach the situation at hand.

"Pride, grandstanding and petty personal ambitions of fight and glory will drive us nowhere. Neither will testing the little strength we have with major powers such as either Mandalorians or Republic, not even mentioning the Sith. Staging actions as suggested will result in mere annoyance on their end, overt or covert."

"I would have assumed that the recent ends of more than one Imperial regime taught some restraint and the matter of their fall some lesson on internal stability."

Aurelian's voice was hard. His eyes moving from those discussing the challenge of major powers as if it were their destined role, as if it was a thirst to be quelched. Though the Zakuulan's attention eventually turned towards Sularen, the head of this congregation and by a far margin one of the few Imperials left that he trusted to some degree.

"You have remained here in former Confederation space for a number of reasons. Use them. Waste no time challenging the Republic, Mandalorians or Sith directly, but re-establish your authority. The Sector Commander has operations going on that center around democratic movements - as pointed out, they are easy to undermine, but also easy to get to cooperate. We do not have to execute populations, put chains on trade routes to prosper. Reinforce the space you hold, show what actual Imperial governance and stability can do. Civilisation building, infrastructure, prosperity, security. We can apply fear when necessary just as we can use sustainability and permanence to our advantage."

"Those who only strife for war, there are the various movements working against Imperial momentum in the region that you have mentioned. Let the war-enthusiastic in this room fight them and prove their worth to the Imperial cause. We work on merit, not titles or ranks." His gaze moved from figure to figure among those advocating for action but whos names he had never heard before. "Proven skill and capability are necessary standards to fight powers greater than ours and can be trialed while fighting those equal or lesser in strength than what we have."

"Summarising, we use the knowledge and resources we have on the worlds close to us to reinforce the validity and permanence of Imperial rule. Through benevolence where possible and fear where necessary. Further the military assets of those eager to fight and prove themselves for the Imperial cause are used to target suppliers, hubs and allies of our immediate enemies, such as the Wild Space Rebellion as primary targets."

Aurelian had his gaze wandering, lingering only on Vanek, before it set on Sularen again. "I will provide convoys for supplies and resources to achieve both goals, independent of what approach you will choose, these resources will flow."

FLEET ADMIRAL VORIN ZONILL
CHOLGANNA, FINAL DAWN TERRITORY
OBJECTIVE I: PLANNING THE FUTURE

Zonill couldn't help but smile at Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen 's statement over his remarks, having essentially agreed with everything that he said. It appeared that the Final Dawn was taking seriously what Zonill and the Imperial Remnant thought of the situation, and for the first time in a long time, Zonill saw a viable path to victory over the foes of the Imperials.

"Well said, Supreme Commander, and everyone else here", Zonill replied, nodding toward the assessment that Aurelian Sigismund Aurelian Sigismund had provided of the enemy. "The Imperial Remnant can provide escorts for the supplies brought in by Aurelian Sigismund Aurelian Sigismund , though I would recommend setting aside some 'dummy' convoys for the Wild Space Rebellion terrorists to attack. We can show the galaxy the barbarity and cruelty of the rebels who would seek to attack and plunder unarmed supply conveys, though I fear they might catch on rather quickly to our antics. Nonetheless, a few strategically placed conveys devoid of any meaningful supplies will allow us to reclaim the narrative that the rebels bring nothing but death and chaos to the systems they operate in, provided we can get actual recordings of any rebel attacks in progress."

"I would also use our propaganda not only against the Mando-Sith alliance, but the Wild Space Rebellion terrorists themselves. The raid of Mon Cala and the extensive damage done by the Rebellion is still fresh in the minds of many. We should leverage those feelings throughout the Outer Sector. Other rebel atrocities, whether real or imagined, should be spread as far and wide as possible. The more sectors we can turn against them, the better, and the less resistance we'll have when we send in our military forces to eject them from their strongholds. If Doan has taught us anything, its that a planet's population will fight to protect their interests, especially if some interests align with Imperial goals of stability and prosperity."

Zonill paused for a moment before continuing.

"The Imperial Remnant can begin escort and pacification missions within the Outer Rim by the start of next week. We are logistically well prepared to handle any extended campaigns against the Wild Space Rebellion and Confederacy of Free Worlds, though I do believe a show of overwhelming force or intimidation might get the Confederacy to the bargaining table as there influence is still relatively contained when compared to the other factions operating throughout our former territory. Nonetheless, the Imperial Remnant stands ready to use any means necessary to pacify those who might oppose us. All I ask for in return is a explicit time table to begin my operations", Zonill concluded.

Myra remained silent as the discussion continued around her. The perspectives offered by the assembled commanders and directors painted a picture she found both reassuring and concerning in equal measure. Reassuring because the Final Dawn possessed no shortage of capable leaders willing to confront the challenges before them. Concerning because every report seemed to reinforce the same reality. The galaxy was becoming increasingly unpredictable.

Fragmentation, opportunism, ideological conflict, and shifting loyalties were becoming the norm rather than the exception. Some threats announced themselves with fleets and armies. Others emerged quietly through political movements, economic influence, or regional instability before eventually growing into something far more difficult to address.

It only strengthened her conviction that vigilance would be among the organization's greatest assets moving forward. When an appropriate pause emerged, Myra inclined her head toward the Supreme Commander.

"Supreme Commander." Her voice carried the same calm professionalism she had displayed throughout the meeting. "I have heard nothing today that would alter my assessment of the situation."

She folded her hands before her. "The larger powers deserve our attention, but so do the countless developments occurring beyond the spotlight. The territories surrounding our sphere continue to evolve rapidly. Governments rise and fall. Alliances shift. New actors emerge while old ones struggle to maintain relevance."

A faint nod followed. "It is precisely because of that uncertainty that I believe our work remains necessary." Her gaze briefly swept across the chamber. "The Final Dawn cannot afford strategic blindness. Not in the current climate."

Returning her attention to Sularen, she continued. "I therefore reaffirm my support for your leadership and for the direction being set for the organization." The statement was direct and without hesitation. "As Sector Commander, I will continue monitoring developments throughout the region. Political movements, military realignments, emerging powers, and potential threats will remain under observation."

Years of intelligence work had taught her that preparedness was often the difference between managing a crisis and becoming consumed by one. "If circumstances change, if opportunities arise, or if threats begin to develop that require immediate attention, I will ensure the appropriate channels are informed."

She offered a final respectful inclination of her head. "Until then, Supreme Commander, you may consider my sector secure and my resources at the ready."

With that said, Myra settled back into silence, prepared once more to listen, observe, and evaluate the currents moving beneath the surface of the galaxy.
