The Next Phase

"Mhmm...." was her only response, because Nora knew she didn't snore, and being teased about it wasn't worth arguing about. Not when there were distractions to be made and chaos to cause. She followed him down to the armory, and then frowned as she looked around. "I suppose eventually we'll have to get me a set of my own..." she had armor back at his house, but it wasn't any better or worse than what was here for her to use.

"I don't know if the Jedi will like you walking around in beskar'gam Anora." He said. "I also don't any Mandalorian that would make a set for a Jedi, but I might be able to work something out once all of this is over with." He said as he pulled on his chest piece and gauntlets. He tested his beskar blade housing once again to be sure his repairs had held. The blade ejected smoothly and returned to its housing without any issues. "I still want to hunt down the bastard who locked it up as bad as it was." He grumbled as he grabbed his helmet and started back for the pilot's chair.

"I know that," Anora was quick to state as such, and even waved her hands a little. "I was just talking about some sturdy, custom fit armor. Something made for me, instead of something I'm using and hoping stays in place while I'm being shot or stabbed at." She shrugged a shoulder, but set about getting the extra armor pieces fit into place on her frame as best she could.

"The odds of finding the idiot who had your armor are slim to none." she called out after him. "I mean a description is really all I have of him after all. No name, or anything else that I can recall that would make hunting him down easy."

"Well in that case, we can find something on Malastare. Pixelito is a rathole city that should have plenty of seeder vendors to suit your armor needs." He said as he checked his MT-14 blasters before sitting down in the pilot's seat. "And I'll have you know I've hunted bounties on far less information than that."

He pulled them out of hyperspace and the large, round shape of Malastare suddenly appeared before them. There was a terse exchange with the traffic controller but other than that they had no issues gaining access to a berth in the spaceport. "Alright, let's go find us some smugglers."

"Something that will protect my hide, but is still light enough to move in." Nora was a stealthy thing after all, and some clunky, noisy armor wasn't going to do her any favors. However, going out totally unprotected - or in armor that didn't fit her right - wasn't exactly any better. But for the time being? She would most definitely take what she could get.

Once she was geared up, Anora found her way back to the co-pilot's seat. She waved a hand about hunting bounties on less information; they could hash that out later on. "One thing at a time." she did let out, then was quiet up until they were docked. "Maybe we should set things on fire." she suggested with a smirk. "That should get us the kind of attention we're looking for."

"You haven't done this kind of thing a whole lot have you?" He asked her with a grin. "We start small first, hit up some of the cantinas and find a dealer that can be easily intimidated into giving us information on the underworld scene here." He paused and shrugged. "Then after that...we can start setting stuff on fire."

Her head shook, "No, most of the jobs we did were straight forward. I don't think I've ever been a part of a 'flush them out' job." she grinned though, clearly amused by the fact that she could eventually set things on fire if she wanted to. She had only been joking about it really, but honestly what better way to flush people out?

"I suppose," she started with a sigh, "I'll behave until told otherwise...." Well, she could try at least.

"I didn't think Jedi could misbehave." He said as he shut down the ship and pulled on his helmet, encasing himself in his own little world. "I'm starting to think I might be a bad influence."

"You think?" Anora arched a brow at him and she smirked once again. "I know you're a bad influence. Running off with some Jedi Padawan, going against her training and teachings to do some bounty hunter work, wanting her to cause chaos, letting her set things on fire...." She clucked her tongue and shook her head. "Shame on you..." her smirk broadened at him before she slipped past him and headed for the ramp to lower it.

"Oh how ever will I live with myself?" He said in a drab monotone. "You needed some excitement in your life, and the fact you decided to tag along on this little mission of mine makes me think you know that just as well as I do." He grinned at her even though she couldn't see it behind his helmet.

They walked through the spaceport and into Pixelito. There were various species milling around but the vast majority were Dugs, tiny creatures though they were, they were extremely dangerous...and even more devious. "Looks like we've got four cantinas within walking distance of the spaceport, but we should also check the other seedy places; night clubs and the like. We'll hit up each of them and search out the criminality, you're going to figure out which one of these scumbags is the weakest in terms of will and once we've done that we'll grab him and me and our new friend will conversate."

"I would like to point out, that it's not really 'tagging along' when your presence is requested." she told him, and she even shot him a smirk. "And there is most definitely no shortage of excitement in my life whenever I end up around you. I can absolutely admit to that." It was her round about way of saying he was trouble - not that Anora herself wasn't her own brand of trouble for Tyran in return.

While scouting through the cantinas was expected, the idea of venturing into a night club was both intriguing and intimidating. She's been in her fair share of cantinas and bars, but she had only ever been into one night club, and that had been for a mission, nothing more. Though really...this wasn't all that different, but Nora didn't imagine there would be pheromones pumping through the air that had to be deflected.

"Alright," she sighed out and gave a look around. "When I'm picking through people, don't let anyone get handsy with me." She was still working on being able to use the Force for scouting and reading purposes while doing other things at the same time. So it was hard for her to read, and watch out for herself still.

Tyran rolled his eyes behind his helmet, he doubted anyone would try to get handsy with her considering how close a fully armored Mandalorian was standing to her, but then again this universe never seemed to surprise him once he started thinking he'd seen everything. So as they waded into the cantina Tyran instantly picked out several people who could be useful for his needs, but he'd wait for Anora to single out the weakest of the bunch before he did anything.

It didn't take very long for someone to get stupid and make for a grab at Anora. It was a male Twi'lek, it never made sense to Tyran how the female Twi'leks could be so beautiful but the males could look like they'd had their face run over by a space freighter. Tyran saw the glint of spice under the Twi'lek's nose and let out a huff of air. He easily caught the Twi'lek's hand before he could lay a finger on Anora and with a quick motion snapped the Twi'lek's wrist with his iron grip. Tryan kept twisting as the Twi'lek yelled and slowly went down to his knees. Turned out the Twi'lek had some buddies who all stood up from their table and started towards the Mandalorian.

They were sloppy and unsteady, hopped up on spice and the cheap booze the cantina sold. This wasn't going to take very long. Tyran drove his knee up into the face of the Twi'lek that had tried to grab Anora and knocked him out cold before moving on to his buddies. It wasn't even fair, two of them pulled out vibroblades and rushed at Tyran. He caught one by the arm and kicked the other firmly in the chest with an armored boot and he heard bones give way to beskar steel. Tyran twisted the arm he had captured and snapped it at the elbow and then hurled the wailing man at the last of his buddies to remain upright. The third man tried to quickly climb out from under his buddy but Tyran caught him by the front of his flight suit and hauled him up into the air and then promptly slammed him down hard into the surface of a nearby table and then brought his large fist down into the man's face rendering the man inert.

The whole interaction only lasted a few seconds and when Tyran stood up it was clear that no one was going to try and touch Anora again, at least not in this cantina.

Throughout the violent encounter that was immediately behind her, Anora hadn't even flinched. Yes, she felt what was going on, but she clearly had every confidence in Tyran's ability. She did however sigh once it was done, and while she didn't look at him, she did speak up. "And here you thought no one was stupid enough to try..." she let out. No, she couldn't read minds by any means, but she could very much so sense the way he had felt considering she was currently reading the room for weak minds.

She made her way around carefully, picking through gathered groups of people until she finally seemed to find what she was looking for. "There," she finally spoke up and gestured to a body that was by no means alone. While not surrounded by a gang of allies, the woman accompanying this particular male was clearly the hired sort. "I don't think his friend will mind an interruption. She isn't a threat, just wants to get paid and get out of here." Not that Nora could blame her at all, considering the man, the location, and what had just gone down a few minutes ago.

Tyran gave a small shrug as he marched over the writhing bodies on the floor and towards the man that she had indicated. The patrons of the cantina parted without question as Tyran stalked towards his target and the man, who now knew he was the one the Mandalorian was after, stood up and dumped his bought companion onto the ground. Tyran drew one of his MT-14 blasters and fired a around that hit the man in the ankle and sent him tumbling forwards and crashing face first into the wall. He looked at Anora and grinned behind his visor. "I love it when they try to run."

He walked over to the man and grabbed him by the collar of his jacket and hauled him up to his feet. "Alright you and I are going to have a little chat." He said casually and dragged the man into one of the private rooms in the back. He pinned the man to the wall and searched his person and found a container of deathstix and some spice packets, way more than was used in personal consumption. Tyran thumped the man on his head with the deathstix container. "A man who has this much contraband on him must have a pretty solid criminal history, probably a couple bounties too. I'm going to ask you some questions and if you lie to me I'm going to hurt you, badly." He pointed to where Anora was standing. "My friend over there is Force sensitive and she'll know if you lie to me or not. Tell me the truth and the only injuries you'll come out of this with are the ones you've already sustained and I'll wave any interest in any bounties you might have. Understood?"

The man nodded. "Choy u naga?" what do you want? The man said in Huttese.

"Choy sa do u?" Tyran asked. What is your name?

"Tovani" The man said back.

"Tovani, Coo sa doe lorda Malastare?" Tyran said back. "Doe wompa gee pawa?" Who's the boss on Malastare, the powerful one?

Tovani hesitated for a moment and Tyran gave him a hard shake and the man let out a whimper of genuine fear. "Nogara!!" He yelled. "Nogara Wyrax sa noleeya chinka!!" Tovani yelled. Nogara Wyrax is in charge!

Tyran looked over to Anora. "True?"

It was Anora's turn to roll her eyes, but she at least looked amused through it. "I'd have never guessed." she let out in reply, then took the time to help the dropped woman to her feet while Tyran escort their new charge to a more discreet location. Once she had done as such, she followed along to where the pair had gone, and she closed the door behind her once she slipped into the room.

When she was gestured to, she waved politely and even offered a smile, though really there was absolutely nothing friendly about this encounter what so ever. And once things got serious, Nora's head canted a bit to the side and she focused instead on the feeling in the room rather than the words that were being said. "The fear in this room is so thick you could cut it with a knife." she let out, though knew that, that wasn't the answer that Tyran had wanted. But she was still reading, still sifting through the feelings of what was being said.

Then her focus shifted to Tyran and her head shook. "If he's lying, he's a pro at it. And I think we both know that's not the case here." Her arms folded. "I didn't pick up any change in him. He's too afraid of what you'll do to him to lie to you."

Tyran nodded his head and dropped the man but did not give him any space to move, in fact Tyran closed the gap between them even more. "Konchee Kavaa stuka Nogara?" Tyran said to their drug dealing friend. Where can I find Nogara?

"Jee tee blee!" He cried. I don't know

"He says he doesn't know where to find this Nogara guy." Tyran said looking back at Anora. "I'm going to go ahead and say that's the truth too." He looked back at Tovani. "Doh fa!" Beat it! He said jerking his thumb towards the door. He looked down at the drugs he had in his hand and pocketed them and looked at Anora. "We'll use it as currency, especially in the nightclubs this stuff will move more lips than credits will."

They didn't have a whole lot go on but a name was better than nothing and Tyran had worked with far worse. "Let's go find a more tame cantina and I'll do some research on this Nogara Wyrax before we go shaking down anymore criminals."

"It is from what I can tell." Anora agreed about the lack of location being truth. It wasn't ideal, not having a whole lot to work with, but it's not as if they couldn't put the pieces together. Between Tyran's experience and Anora's Force abilities, this whole problem couldn't elude them forever.

She stood aside to be out of the way when their informant was so politely excused, and when a new location was suggested, she nodded her head in agreement. "I honestly don't see anything tame in our immediate future, but I'm all for getting the hell out of here." She wasn't afraid to be here, but people were stupid enough on their own before mixing drugs and alcohol into the picture, and there was already bodies either still heaped up or that had drug themselves off somewhere to lick their wounds. Hanging around waiting for the possibility of them becoming more stupid with reinforcements wasn't Nora's idea of a good time.

Tyran wasn't too worried about reprisals, he couldn't be considering the line of work he was in. You wracked up enemies quick doing the things he did and he couldn't spend a whole lot of time worrying about what might happen because of something he did. If a bunch of drunks wanted to come after him then so be it, he had two blasters and a half meter of sharpened beskar steel housed in a forearm casing, he was ready.

"We'll go grab a table at one of the night clubs, the crowds in there are usually pretty highbrow and not as prone to knife fights and blaster parties that you find in these scumbag cantinas." He said to her as they made their way back through the cantina. He tossed the manager behind the bar a credit chip. "For the damages."

They walked further into the hub of Pixelito and found a nice looking night club with a name written in Ryl over the entrance. "Alask Ayloe." Tyran said as he looked at the lettering. "Twi'lek for Desert Aurora." He said as he stepped up to the bouncer at the door. There was a silent moment of confrontation but ultimately the bouncer decided to step aside and allowed Tyran and Anora entrance. Mandalorian armor gave away what Tyran was, and because he was standing in this nightclub it's patrons automatically assumed he was wealthy and if he was wealthy that meant he was incredibly good at his job. Tyran wasn't hurting for credits and he was pretty skilled at his craft but not to the extent that some of the people in the club were imagining. He could see it in their faces, and that was good.

They were lead to a table by a female Duros, who like the rest of the staff in the club was scantly dressed, and asked if they wanted anything to eat or drink. Tyran waved off the offer. "I'm all set." He waited for Anora to order something if she wanted to and then when the server was gone Tyran went about searching the criminal database he had access to in his HUD. "While I'm doing research do me a favor and make sure no one gets too interested in us...in a negative way at least. Fear and being intrigued are fine but suspicion and bad intent is something I need to know about right away."

"Night club?" the words were echoed from Anora, and she paused in her steps only long enough to look down at herself, then sigh before following once again in Tyran's wake. While she may have never been to any sort of nightly club before, she knew in most cases they were higher end places, and those sort of places typically required a more...classy get up than what Nora was sporting.

It was a fact that made her admittedly a bit self conscious, especially once they found a place and there was a literal stare off at the door. The bouncer caved first which was what they needed, but the curious look that was shot at the brunette as she followed Ty made her flush from the tip end of her nose down the back of her neck. And it didn't get any better once they got inside. If there was a color darker than scarlet to adorn a person's skin, Anora was wearing it. While she was by no means appalled or shocked, she was increasingly both intimidated and feeling more and more insecure by the moment due to the bodies flouncing about the place.

So when they found a table and were approached about needing anything, Nora was quick to shake her head but didn't quite look at the body across from her. It wasn't until she and Tyran were left to their own devices that she took a breath and tried to steel herself. "I can do that," she managed, "Though I don't think we're going to have a problem here...." At least nothing more than some fawning, invasive servers.

Tyran was too engrossed in the information scrolling across his heads up display as he searched for the name the drug dealer had given them. Whoever Nogara was, he wasn't on any of the databases that Tyran had access to. That meant he was a careful criminal and that their job wasn't going to be easy in any shape or form.

"Well, our guy isn't in the database but someone in this city knows who he is." Tyran said to Anora as he shut down the criminal databases. "I think our best move is to pinpoint the smallest of the smuggling cartels and put some pressure on them, I'll bet big credits that the leader of that group knows just who Nogara is."
