The New SSC Council - "The Assembly"

The Silver Council has begged for an update ever since the merger between the Order of the Silver Jedi and the Levantine Sanctum months ago. That is why [member="Coci Heavenshield"] and I (with help from [member="Connor Harrison"]) have decided to put together a new Council, only with a few changes.

The Silver Council will from now on be simply known as 'the Assembly', and their meetings will take place in a stucture separate from the Silver Temple. This is to symbolise that the two former factions have united as one, with equal elements taken from what made both factions great. This also means the Sanctum will not be exclusive to Jedi members, or even Force Users. The hierarchy will remain the same, with the Grandmaster and Master of the Order heading the Assembly.

Choosing who we thought suitable candidates for the Assembly was the hard part, as we have so many good people dedicated to the SSC and what we stand for. Those we came up with turned out to be as diverse as our memberbase.

Not counting Coci and myself, the Assembly will consist of - if they choose to accept - the following individuals:

• Jedi Knight [member="George O Rourke"]
• Rogue Master [member="Valiens Nantaris"]
• Master [member="Jericho"]

Connor Harrison has gracefully stepped down due to his IC whereabouts.

If there is anyone that you - the members - think we've overlooked, let us know and we will keep them in mind for when seats become available.

Note: The Assembly is merely used ICly. There will be no decision-making behind closed doors.

I would not rule out Sio showing up at Sanctum meetings with a Herald and a harem girl. Meetings are stressful...she needs a massage here and there! :d

I think [member="Minna"] would be a good choice, too, should a spot become available.

But I agree with everyone else on there, too. Some nice additions to the Council

We do however have a council of 6, which could deadlock things IC.

I would like to nominate [member="Cathbodua"] for all the training she's done IC for everyone and [member="Matsu Ike"] for all syn's tech subs and work in that area. Highlighting both as they are the same author (so only pick one!) With a preference for Matsu for her IC knowledge she has accumulated on rare lore or interesting force techniques.

If you'd like to keep 6 instead of 7, I'll step down to make room. Matsu's writer been at this helping people train for a long time now, put their work in for tech, and locations, and always been there help out the new players starting. Whereas I have been absent for a few months, however keen kei's muse is for this.

[member="Kei Amadis"] Actually, it'd be 8 - we've got Thurion and Coci in there, too. That said, while I agree that there's the potential for a deadlock, I don't necessarily think it's likely. Let's be honest: if there's ever a 4v4, there's no point going along with the idea when half of the Council is in disagreement. We shouldn't need an odd number to break a deadlock, because that situation ought to never arise!

EDIT: Also, you should absolutely sit on the Council yourself. Take your place, please!

While [member="Matsu Ike"]'s been a great asset to the faction for a long time, she's been a member of the Council in past iterations. We felt like getting some new blood (Council-wise) rather than take on veteran members.

As for the number of Sanctum members, I don't think we'll ever happen upon situations where we're split 50/50. Like [member="Teynara Jeralyr"] says, if it comes to that then it's obviously not that great of a proposition to begin with.

It's like people who call themselves Jedi Healers. There are Jedi, and there are Healers but they're not the same thing. Now Guardians, those are Jedi!
