  • Unit Name: The Moonguard
  • Affiliation: Srina Talon Srina Talon
  • Classification: Special Operations and Infiltration
  • Description: The Moonguard is an all female Echani unit bound to Srina Talon, formed to operate where Force power is unnecessary and often counterproductive. They are full masters of Echani martial discipline, trained to dismantle elite non Force military units through control of spacing, timing, and intent rather than overwhelming force. The Moonguard specializes in infiltration and internal collapse, moving through secured environments by aligning with existing patterns instead of relying on concealment. They do not serve as a visible shield, nor do they replace Srina’s authority. They remove the conditions that would threaten it. Their presence ensures that opposition never reaches her intact, coordinated, or confident that the fight has begun on its own terms.

  • Unit Experience: Elite
  • Equipment:

    Ranged Weapons:
    Melee Weapons:
    Grenades and Detonators:
  • Combat Function: The Moonguard’s combat function is to make the first decisive contact and deny the enemy the ability to organize a proper defense. They deploy ahead of the main force and infiltrate command, security, and response elements before formal battle lines are established. Their focus is on disrupting coordination, breaking timing, and isolating key personnel so that resistance never coheres into a unified effort. Engagements are close, controlled, and brief, favoring precision over visibility and collapse over destruction.
Once open combat begins, the Moonguard does not remain in sustained fighting. They reposition, withdraw, or shift to secondary targets deeper within the battlespace, repeating the process as needed. Within a larger army, they function as an enabling element rather than a holding force. They require minimal support and rarely call for reinforcement. Their presence ensures that when allied units engage, they face an enemy already disorganized, reacting late, and fighting on unfavorable terms.

In ranged combat, the Moonguard treats distance as a temporary condition rather than a space to control. They avoid prolonged exchanges and do not attempt to overwhelm opponents with fire. Blaster use is selective, aimed at interrupting movement, isolating targets, and breaking coordination. Shots are timed to force hesitation and guide enemies into confined approaches that favor close engagement. When operating alongside larger forces, their ranged actions shape the fight without drawing focus, ensuring that distance collapses on terms already set by the Moonguard.
  • Force Abilities (Force User Units Only): NFU

strengths.png

  • Urban Decay - Excels at breaking down organized resistance from the inside, leaving disciplined forces structurally unsound before open combat begins.
  • Smashbox Cover Shot - Delivers fast, decisive engagement at close range, ending threats before they can react or bring supporting fire to bear.
  • Huda Beauty Obsessions - Maintains relentless focus on priority targets, isolating key personnel and staying locked on objectives without distraction.
  • Too Faced Born This Way - Blends seamlessly into hostile environments, moving through secured spaces without triggering suspicion until control has already shifted.

weaknesses.png

  • Too Faced Hangover - Prolonged engagements degrade effectiveness, as the Moonguard is optimized for rapid disruption rather than sustained combat over time.
  • Fenty Match Stix - Performs best against disciplined or predictable opponents, but loses some advantage when forced to adapt to chaotic or irregular fighting styles.
  • MAC Pro Longwear - Not designed to hold ground or maintain pressure once the fight stabilizes, requiring follow on forces to secure objectives after disruption.
  • Morphe Continuous Setting Mist - Effectiveness depends on momentum and timing, and stalls when operations are delayed or when conditions prevent quick closure and repositioning.

Moonlight never reached the lower levels of the installation, but that had never mattered. Darkness was not an absence. It was a condition. One that Srina Talon Srina Talon understood well.

The Moonguard was already inside.

That was not an assumption or hope, was a certainty. The kind that settled in the chest and slowed the breath. Srina paused at the threshold, not because she required confirmation, but because she respected the work already being done in her name. These women were not shadows. They were pressure applied quietly, and pressure, once applied correctly, did not need to announce itself.

Kaela Ithros moved first because she always did. Not from ambition, but from understanding. She matched the patrol’s pace precisely, her posture identical, her presence unremarkable in the way only mastery allows. Lira Ven followed several meters behind, close enough to act, far enough to remain unconsidered. The soldiers ahead of them were elite, drilled to respond without delay or panic. Discipline made them reliable. Reliability made them readable.

The moment came and passed quickly. A formation shift. A fraction of space that should not have existed. Kaela closed it. A rifle was redirected before its weight finished settling. Balance was taken without force. The soldier was lowered to the deck before his thoughts reached alarm. Lira intercepted the second without urgency, her movement controlled and exact, ending resistance through leverage rather than impact. The third understood too late that the engagement had already concluded. By the time awareness caught up, he was already falling.

The Moonguard advanced without haste. Each engagement ended fully before the next began. Silence followed them, but it was the silence of routine rather than failure. At a command junction, Jora Saal paused long enough to observe flow and timing. She adjusted access permissions through actions that would later be reviewed and dismissed as procedural variance. Doors opened off cycle. Response teams arrived precisely where they were no longer needed. Control shifted without noise or announcement.

When Srina moved, the installation responded differently. It still functioned. Systems still cycled. Personnel still attempted to act. But cohesion was gone. Resistance arrived late, fragmented, and forced into confined approaches where preparation outweighed numbers. The Moonguard flowed ahead of her presence, not shielding her, but removing the conditions that allowed opposition to form. Srina did not slow. The Force bent naturally around a battlefield that had already accepted its outcome.

Afterward, the installation remained standing. Power held. Communications resumed with gaps that no report would adequately explain. Kaela checked Lira’s armor where a strike had landed with intent rather than malice. Jora waited until Srina had cleared the perimeter before issuing withdrawal. The Moonguard departed without ceremony.

The facility would continue to operate. It would continue to exist. It would simply remember, in ways no sensor could log, that control had been taken long before the moment anyone believed the fight had begun.
