STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES :
Ignatius Rausgeber is not a strong man. In fact, one would describe him quite accurately as weak. Sickly even. With that limp and how his right leg drags behind the right. He has, and never would have the makings of a varsity athlete. This eminently effected his combat score during FOSB Academy training. But even beyond the physically unremarkable, there exists potential.

A linguist at heart, Ignatius is fluent in twelve forms of language [Two dialects of Huttese, Galactic Basic, Cheunh, Twi’leki, Mando’a, Yuuzahn Vong, Jawaese, Droidspeak, Sith, Rodian and Shilli] and several sign languages for communication. Ignatius by his nature is a pacifist, who will more likely than not, seek a diplomatic or peaceful solution over violence.

APPEARANCE:
Ignatius Rausgeber is a scrawny figure to say the least. From his time in the Maw, malnourished, he has grown skinny, and his face has gone pale. His limp, now with more bone than flesh on his legs has become far more pronounced. It drags, fully against the weight of the ground. Tearing into whatever sand, grime or dust it encounters. Despite the conditions of his confinement, he retains a strict regimen of keeping appearances. Shaving, ensuring his hair is well kept, and cleanliness. Something he obsesses over, now with so little in the way of autonomy over his conditions.

BIOGRAPHY:
Ignatius Ervine Rausgeber, was born on Dosuun briefly before the arrival of the First Order. He was a child pampered from a very young age, who developed a taste for linguistics. Something his Mother, a former medic born on Ryloth had been something of a wanderer. Ignatius while bright would not be one for physical pursuits, much to his detriment, as he was born with a profound limp. Inspite of that, he would attempt to follow in the footsteps of his Uncle, Carlyle Rausgeber, to become a military man. Despite these aspirations, Ignatius was a mother’s boy at heart. Mathilda coddled him, perhaps a little too much.

Ignatius would however be unsuccessful in that regard. The army, navy, stormtrooper corps and starfighter corps all in that order, denied him. And instead, Ignatius found his calling in espionage. His knowledge of linguistics, polite if not meek nature, made him an ideal member of a diplomatic attache. The sort of spy who cultivated contacts, and worked behind the scenes within an embassy to apply pressure.

However, spying at that time in the First Order was a gruelling business. The nascent First Order intelligence apparatus was largely dominated by former One Sith officers, who were demanding, and specifically for Ignatius were ready to point out the deformity of his leg. Much to the young man’s chagrin. Ignatius actually ran away from the academy, deserting it after a serious mental breakdown. What stopped him from going AWOL altogether, was that in the early dawn of that frostbitten morning, news came. Of Kaeshana.

Kaeshana had been a world the First Order sought to rescue from the perils of armageddon it had suffered under. Mathilda Rausgeber had been there, as a member of a medical envoy. She was mercilessly killed when Dark Siders, working with the Galactic Alliance ambushed the First Order mission. While this death caused both pain, it hardened Ignatius’ resolve.

Ignatius would return to the academy, and graduate with honours. However due to the war footing of the First Order, he received no initial diplomatic posting and was attached to a First Order Security Bureau office on Cloud City. It was quiet, up until the surprise attack upon Bespin, Hoth and the broader Ison Corridor. An attack which saw the city nearly destroyed, albeit while in the process of evacuation. Ignatius volunteered, however to remain aboard the artificial metropolis in order to delete and destroy industrial data potentially useful to the usurpers.

Ignatius was successful, although the further career within the First Order, and the duration of the Galactic Alliance-First Order war was quiet. He was dispatched to liasing between Dosuun and the various Home Rule governments set about the place. In fact, he had retained a reputation as a quiet, yet studious officer. Who did his best to advance the interests of the First Order, without jeopardizing diplomatic ties or cultural sensitivities.

Ignatius’ career was cut short by the return of the Ssi-Ruuvi Imperium, who in a matter of weeks, through a lightening campaign crushed the First Order. Ignatius himself, was on Riflor at the time. And took cover within a bunker complex, and for the next year would avail himself as an ad hoc strategist and medic. Using the limited medical training acquired both from his mother, and FOSB training. He would see some combat, but made himself useful organising the rationing of food, water and ammunition. Becoming a quartermaster of a sort.

After a bloody eighteen months, the group of imperial loyalists were happened upon by the Chiss Ascendency, sending a scouting part through former First Imperial territory as to ascertain the extent of damage. As well as to salvage military assets. Although not a rescue mission, Ignatius and his cohorts were brought aboard, and returned to Csilla. Some used the generosity as a way station to depart for the Sith Empire, or other ports. Ignatius stayed, using his credentials to bargain for a job from the Chiss. He worked in an exploratory sense, engaging in diplomatic outreach through the Unknown Regions. Doing the work his Mother had, engaging in humanitarian aid dispatches and the provision of foods and medicine. Ignatius was halfway to getting his own vessel when another tragedy struck

Enroute back to Csilla, his transport was ambushed and boarded by Sith raiders who would become the Brotherhood of the Maw. The crew were largely dispatched, and Ignatius was one of the few survivors not able to get a blaster pistol intime. The young diplomat was cast into irons, and thrown into the horde of slaves now forced to work for the Maw. Ignatius, despite his physical deformity, would be thrust in as an Auxiliary. Cannon fodder. And despite the best attempts of his commanders to seemingly get them killed, survived. Using a mix of cunning, and ingenuity to avoid as much of the fighting as possible.

Despite the palpable hatred he holds for the Maw, he does have a soft spot for his immediate comrades, becoming something of a popular figure within his immediate unit. Be it mediating disputes, providing a little extra medical comfort. Or simply managing to hold a conversation which does not resort to jokes about bodily functions.
