Work In Progress The Low Court

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Organization Name: The Low Court
  • Classification: Clan/Family/Cult of Sangnir, and followers
  • Affiliation: Persephone Ambrosia Persephone Ambrosia (Any Sangnir that will yield to The Six Traditions)
  • Organization Symbol:
    16631448eb65afec0c92836acb0e5617.jpg
  • Description: The Low Court is a shadowy organization that serves the Sangnir Species in several ways. Their main interest being to maintain a decree known as The Erasing. Which is essentially keeping the concept, and overall existence of Sangnir secret from humans; by any and all costs. They will kill any number of people to ensure this. And can easily be coined terrorists in certain instances. Beyond that, they also dabble in anything that keeps them in the loop on the megacity that was Coruscant. They employ hundreds of thousands, and yet maintain no strings that lead back to them. It is loyalty that keeps everything together. And when that runs out, the promise of what comes if any betray the cult of the undead. That being said, most that deal with the Sangnir are unaware of their nature. Even the Thralls that drink the Anima of the Sangnir are seemingly spell-struck with stupor after tasting it. Locked into a viscious cycle of give and take with creatures that have no true alleigance to any but their 'Brothers', 'Sisters', 'Mothers', and 'Fathers'.

The organization is widespread enough to be easily found by observing any Sigil (See Organization Symbol) that is drawn, painted, or even seen as a tattoo; and pull information with Sangnir eyes. Enough to put a wandering Sangnir on the trail to their distant cousins. Guests are generally well
received as long as they mind their manners, and follow rules of Erasing while within the Coven Territories. The Low Court is one of the smaller Covens on Coruscant, as there are at least three other groups of Sangnir that also provide a similar service on the distant reaches of the planet. The Low Court is the smallest of these groups, but are also the most respected as something of a Judicial last say on all matters Sangnir (Within their borders). Beyond that, their Twisted Patron Saint Persephone Ambrosia Persephone Ambrosia is feared not only due to her use of violence, and barbarity; but the huge unknown the younger Elders have regarding what she is capable of.

The threat of the unknown is enough to keep all in check, and their version of normalcy spinning along fine.
GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
  • Headquarters: Coruscant
  • Domain: They Consider the entirety of Coruscant their Clan Home, and are zealously defensive of it. They will always 'mark' new Sangnir entering their territory. This is generally done by one, or more enforcers approaching the Sangnir in question, and interrogating them as to their intent; other than that, they tend to keep to themselves. Though, they do also have both hands in Black Market trade on Coruscant.
  • Notable Assets: They own Several Dive Bars in the underbelly of Coruscant, along with restaurants, and even a casino. In addition to that, they also own Gentlemen Lounges, and several other less-notable business (Those several others being shell businesses for laundering credits). They also own several ships, ranging from transport, salvage, mining, and even flat out warships. One such notable asset being The Red Queen's Throne.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Hierarchy: In this specific sect of Sangnir, power is not currently shared; and is hoarded by one Persephone Ambrosia Persephone Ambrosia
  • Membership: (IC)One High-Blood Elder in charge. There are about Seventeen-Hundred Low-Blood Sangnir total in Persephone's Coven. With a variable amount of thralls, and ghouls under their direct command each. Some of these Thralls, and Ghouls are influential people, while others are simply people that have access to necessary things. Persephone does not tolerate Ferals on her Clan territory, and has a mandatory kill on sight order for all of her 'generals'
  • Climate: If one can follow orders, and show respect for the Chain-of-Command; they can expect most if not all of their wants and needs to be taken care of. Disobedience, Disloyalty, and insubordination are sure fire ways to die. Other than that, Clan members are particularly reclusive with information from one another, but will generally be honest if asked; unless they have reason not to be.
  • Reputation: If someone sees this organization from the outside, they'll probably be dead soon; though for the more stealthy types, the organization will seem secretive, and very paranoid. To catch Sangnir in the act of doing anything would likely also expose the one doing investigating. But it is possible, and has happened in the past.
  • Curios: Many Members will have the Sigil of The Low Court as a tattoo in varying sizes, but it isn't necessary; as they can tell their own kind, in some cases even over great distances. The "Sigil of the Devil's Eye" is more so used by Thralls and Ghouls to tell each other apart, and doubles as a sort of warning to Sangnir, and rival organizations alike that they shouldn't be where they're standing.
  • Rules: The Low Court Follows an Ancient Code known as "The Erasing". As they are by nature creatures that feed on one of the most plentiful, and advanced species in the galaxy, they must maintain a level of incognito at all times. Many live faux lives, engaging with the public for a set amount of time, then vanishing for years. Outside of maintaining their overall anonymity, many high level members of the organization will rarely engage with mortal creatures; unless the said creature has been scouted for embrace.
  • One

Sangnir will not reveal their true nature to any not embraced
    Doing such shall renounce thy natural protections within your Coven;
An erasing will be called upon you. A Sangnir may always plead their case however.
  • Two

An Elder's domain is to be respected.
Those that enter, even briefly are subject to following said Elders word.
None may challenge an Elders word in their own domain.
Rule Two of course, holds particular exceptions for other Elder Sangnir.
  • Three

You may only Embrace another with (express) permission from an Elder, preferable the Elder of the domain in which the deed is done
If this Tradition is not followed, the sire and the embraced may be Erased. As without the proper training, this could easily lead to a fresh blood trying to overfeed, ultimately drawing attention to the 'family'
  • Four

You are accountable for those you embrace.
Unless you release them from your embrace
Their mistakes, are your mistakes. As such, you share their punishment.
  • Five

Show utmost respect to another's Domain
When a Sangnir arrives at a foreign city, they must search out the Elder, and state their intent
If you do not receive acceptance from the Elder, you may be destroyed immediately.
Though, this of course may lead to war with foreign agents, and would likely not be the first choice.
  • Six

    Sangnir will NOT kill Sangnir
The right to call for an Erasing is reserved for Elders only
Only the Eldest Sangnir may call an Erasing
The only exclusion to this rule is a Low-Blood Sangnir catching a brother or Sister blatantly breaking any other rule; and being able to provide proof of it.
  • Goals: The Goal of The Low Court is to maintain the Six Traditions, and maintain the secrecy of Sangnir society, by any means necessary. Beyond that, they also covet furthering their reach. The Goals may change perhaps, but only slightly. Survival, and Secrecy. Alongside making life comfortable for their 'family' however possible.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Low Court was founded roughly 3000 years ago, by a Vampire Elder named Vex. His intention to create a power-base for his people to regroup, and live peacefully; while also remaining well fed in the face of a fresh failure of the Sangnir people, an attempt to colonize and rebuild failing miserably. Vex realized the best way for their people to thrive was by to not do so at all. They didn't need Thousands upon thousands of Sangnir. They needed a simple, and easily maskable presence to guarantee their survival until a point came where they could forcibly take power; and rule over humanity with impunity. As such, he took established Sangnir laws, adapted from Vampiric laws, and established the six traditions. The Low Court was founded on Coruscant, and through a series of Blood Hunts, its merit was proven. Vex was the one who cut their population greatly, and over a few thousand years, made the concept of a Vampire, or Sangnir something of fallacy... Something to tell children at bed time. Eventually, he became bored; and decided he would sire a wife for himself. That woman named Persephone Callidora. At the time a Senator within Republic; eventually falling into history as a woman that had simply gone missing.

A few thousand years later, and due to a series of unfortunate events, Vex was slain; Persephone, having lived long enough to want power herself changed her name. Becoming Persephone Ambrosia Persephone Ambrosia . Ever since she attained power, she decided The Six Rules were the proper way to move forward, and has enforced them until the present day.

Alrighty, sorry for the delay so let's get to this review. While interesting, of course, it is very clear that this takes a lot of inspiration from Vampire the Masquerade. As it stands now after discussing with my colleagues, this submission is far too similar to VTM for approval.

The most egregious issue I have found is with the Traditions, which ties into the other issues. They have the exact same names, and state, essentially, the exact same things with only some words changed from the archaic style written in VTM.

The concept of the Blood Hunt also serves the same function as well, should these traditions be broken. The attached icon is also the icon of the Camarilla, who act much like you have written here in regards to the Traditions: their service, and their breaking.

Overall, the structure of this submission is far too over the line into VTM territory. Crossovers and references on this site are fine, but we must stress that this is Star Wars, not anything else. Such crossovers and references need to have a unique and different flavor and style within our RP world. As such, there are much needed changes that have to be made before we can consider this for approval.

There are then 2 options we can do: you can either do the changes here and now within the timeframe of being actively judged, or we can pull this back into Pre-Codex to give you a wider timeframe to work with. Please get back to me with your choice soon.

Sorry I took so long with this, I was ironically unaware that was a VTM image haha.

In any case, I changed the wording of the actual ruling; Sorry T_T. I left the meat of the rulings, and added different things to differentiate them. I removed the names of the rulings that were pretty much direct VTM references. I edited the image, I'm surprised I didn't catch it was the Camarilla image. I extended the description; edited the amount of NPC members. And also added some more information/items to the notable assets area.

Srina Talon Srina Talon is the information you provided similar if I wanted to say, pull a submission like this out in the future to add/edit something to it?
