The Lover [Zaren/Hatake]

Ossus
Jedi Academy

It was the day Maria had been waiting for - the day of a Jedi mission. She, along with a few others Maria had never heard of before, was supposed to go on some kind of a mission which was assigned probably by the Jedi High Council. She had heard of that a few days ago and for all the days, she couldn't even bare her excitement. Now it was the day of the mission and Maria just couldn't wait any longer. She had come to Ossus, the mission's starting point, the day before just to be sure she wouldn't be late. And it looked like she wasn't, seeing how she was the first one to arrive.

The three were supposed to meet in front of the Academy, at least that's how Maria remembered it, and then they would see what comes after that. After all they had never even met before. She had done some research, which had basically been just learning of the two other people's ranks. Like she had come to understand, one of them was a Knight and the other one was a Padawan. She was not sure which one was which, though.

Having come in her full Jedi attire, which was her maroon Jedi Robe and also a few other essentials, lightsaber being one of them, she looked like a typical Jedi Padawan, distinguishable by her Padawan Braid. She was a bit unsure about how the mission would go, though, because she didn't have much knowledge of the Force nor of lightsaber dueling, but she hoped other people's strengths would balance out her weaknesses and vice versa.

She hoped.

At that moment she waited there, she started feeling nervous and really unconfident. She would be going to a mission with complete strangers, probably people who don't understand her too much. Being half-lightsided was really a curse, especially because of the emotional instability. The woman actually believed she would never overcome that.

Sitting on a bench, she thought, worried, and waited.

As the days progressed into a week Hatake was notified that he and two other Jedi were given a mission that could have been from the High Council of the Order. The Padawan assumed that his Master, Zaren Bouqi, was one of the Jedi because his instructor would tag along with Hatake wherever they went. As he was given the details of the mission the Jedi asked for the Force to help him as he then noticed that the operation would be taken place on Zeltros. He had never been to the planet but he had heard many, many stories of the well known planet, and just hoped he wouldn't be in the clutches of the women on from the party animal planet. He was already on Ossus since it was his new home after the fall of Corusant and was where the mission would begin.

He was dressed in his brown Jedi robe, a bandana and a mask concealing the left side of his face and his left eye that was given to him as a curse, and had his equipment: his lightsaber, a couple of knives, and the Force. After that, he exited out of his quarters and began walking through the corridors of the Academy to reach his destination which was the entrance of the complex.

Soon, the team would be assembled, introduce themselves, and then get to Zeltros. After walking and taking the shortest route through the Academy he finally reached his destination and saw a Jedi sitting down on a bench and looked like she was waiting for something. He assumed it was one of the Jedi that was part of the team. He walked towards the Jedi and saw she too was a Padawan just by her braid. Hatake reached her and giving her a respectful bow he said.

"Hatake Mutashi," and remained silent after he gave her his name.

So apparently there was a mission that would be taking them to Zeltros, a planet filled with pheromones. He'd encountered such things once before in his life time but the outcome hadn't been that bad. In fact, he had been saved within a moment before he could have even been harmed, or harm others.

They were three.

Two Padawans and a Jedi Knight on an extremely important mission.

What better place to group up than on Ossus?

When he walked out of the temple the Jedi Knight shook his head as he descended the steps towards [member="Hatake Mutashi"] and [member="Maria Natalja"].

This was going to be the first mission that he was going on with his own Padawan if he remembered correctly, it'd be a great boon to see if his Padawan was ready for the real world where Sith were out there trying to kill you. Hatake didn't speak much, but he could only wonder as to what sort of feelings he held for the Sith that had taken his first Master from him.

"Padawans." He said once he got to the bottom of the steps, brushing his black robes back and only momentarily revealing a belt that was covered in lightsabers. If either of them he would have simply smiled. All of his trophies from the time he had been a Padawan.

After killing Sith.

Sometimes you did what you had to.

"Are you prepared to go on the mission?"

Maria stood up as soon as another Padawan arrived; she understood it by the man's braid. "Hatake Mutashi," was what the man said. Maria nodded, smiled, and then told her own name, "Maria Natalja. Nice to meet you!" The man seemed to be the one she was supposed to go on the mission with, at least the name was somewhat similar to what she had heard before. It was a foreign name and she really had to repeat it in her mind in order to remember it correctly.

"Padawans."

So another voice was able to be heard and Maria turned towards the man who had spoken the words. Looking at the man's belt which he may have intentionally revealed, her mouth dropped a bit and eyebrows raised. That was indeed a bunch of sabers. But then Maria remembered her own one and her mouth shut again.

"I'm as ready as I could be," Maria said with a high, friendly voice. Then she looked at the other Padawan, waiting for his reply.

"Pleasure to meet you, as well," the Padawan responded back to Maria. She seemed nice and exited. Full of positive energy and not a single hint of negativity. That's something that they whole galaxy needed, but, unfortunately, that would be quite difficult to achieve.

Then a familiar voice called upon them. Hatake turned around and saw his Master, Zaren Bouqi. The second thing that he noticed from him was the belt that held onto many, many lightsabers. He wondered if they were all constructed by him or he won them from previous duels with Sith. If it was the latter then it would be something to gloat about but that wouldn't look good on any Jedi reputation.

After Maria responded to Zaren's question he then gave his answer.

"I am ready."

"Bishop."

He replied to Maria. They had yet to meet personally, but the mission would be able to provide that time to get to know each other.

Jedi Master...

Never thought he'd become one, not at his rate as a Padawan and Knight, but he had made it right? [member="Hatake Mutashi"] was his Padawan. He seemed responsible enough, but was he independent enough to become a Jedi Knight? Zaren was unsure. In some ways, Jedi Missions unravelled plenty of things. The purpose of the mission, and the personality of those who were on the mission. He particularly enjoyed that aspect while all the while remaining the secretive person that he had taken up to be in this time.

He glanced to the both of them, inclined his head and lead the way to their ship... Presumably.

Maria nodded and then started following the Master of Hatake. It was funny to see how she was there without her Master. But of course the teacher Maria had been assigned to wasn't able to come. There was so much the Jedi Grandmaster had to do and it would have only been a surprise if she could have come somehow. But there was a higher-ranking member with them and Maria hardly thought he would only care of his own Padawan and leave Maria to get out of problems by herself.

She didn't speak a word for the duration of walking. She only looked around, a bit at the other two Jedi, but a bit at the nature, too. She was feelign thoughtful, but who wouldn't if there was an important mission coming?
