The Lost Army (ML)

The Guardian Corps.

That name can still install fear in some populations of the galaxy. The Guardian Corps was an ancient droid army, made by the legendary Xim the despot, the pirate who conquered the Tionese Cluster and beyond, before finally bieng stopped and eventually defeated by the Hutts. The droids themselves are legendary, believed to be the earliest examples of battle droids, droids of similar complexity did not arise for over 20 thousand years. These droids are also famous because a relatively small number of them left as trophies of war (And secret guardians, only activated as a last resort when Hutt space was invaded). Mowed down hundreds of Vong invaders on Nal Hutta.

AD-8 had found one of Xims ships and sliced the main computer. After weeks of data mining, his team finally found something of interest, in Argai, Xims homeworld located in Tion space, there are the ruins of Xims grand palace. most people know that Kim kept most of his treasure on Dellalt, and was of course found by Han Solo, who battled through the last known droid army of Xims. However, up until now, no one knew about the secret vaults on Argia. That was not what AD was excited about. There was reportedly a droid army guarding it. If the Metal Lords could secure a few hundred of these then they could be the talisman of their kingdoms.

WD-334 arrived with it's Tartan-class cruiser. It did not wish to bring anything too large, and had two shuttles alongside with ground forces. Just in case there was any trouble they would be dealing with. Upon arrival, the war droid contacted @AD-8. "AD-8, this unit had arrived." Was AD-8 also here? WD had received coordinates to arrive upon, and had been told it was to gain some type of droid. The model, WD did not know of. The war droid, using it's protocol droid body stood upon the bridge of the cruiser. Waiting for a response, a direction, a heading to take.

This was not the first time Ra had been requested by the Metal Lords to lend them a hand. One of the first was an honor and she was given the chance to observe the appointing of WD to the Spark Lord Council. It might be an annual thing, but it was something very few organics got to witiness. She was one of those few and had taken that opportunity when it was offered.

So now when they called again, Ra answered. As an organic, she could hold no real power and she was happy with this. Being lead of the merchant fleet was enough. This kept her out of war and battles as much as any other line of work. Besides she had plans of her own outside of this government of droids. One of them knew what they were and AD worked with Ra to accomplish her goals.

It was her turn to help him now. Arriving at the coordinates provided by her friend, she wasn't sure exactly what she might be able to accomplish, but she would try.

Aeshi's eyes scanned through the data from the sensors as her ship dropped out of hyperspace. The Metal-Lords had been called to salvage an ancient base of some sort or other. She wasn't sure what they were or why they were doing it, but it seemed like a good chance to explore some ancient tech and see what could be retrofitted or overhauled. Maybe there'd be some other eccentric technology she reverse engineer.

"Captain Tillian arriving," she broadcast over the channels. "Where do you need a bulk transport?"

She had arrived in one of the larger freighters owned by the company, for the sake of carrying supplies and equipment needed by the expedition for this little excursion.

AD-8 had supplied the planet coordinates to those who he had invited to the come with him, he had chosen [member="Riamah"], [member="WD-334"] and [member="Aeshi Tillian"]. He had never met the latter but she had worked with some of the other lords previously so he trusted that she could be trusted.

AD was later than the rest, arriving with a freedom class at the rendezvous point. He saw the others ships and opened communications with them.

"Hello friends, to find these droids we have to go to the other side of the planet, make sure you aren't spotted."

He sent the coordinates of the secret vaults to the ships and started to head for them.

WD-334 stood at the bridge, and there it was. [member="AD-8"] arrived in a ship. Other ships had come as well, and WD assumed friendlies. "AD-8, we shall proceed with caution." The Tartan-class was an excellent choice apparently, as they would need to avoid detection of any sort. The cruiser pushed onwards, at a slow and steady speed on the course set out for them to the coordinates. Weapons were online, just in case but for now most power was the the engines to push on with speed.

Hearing the message from AD, Ra practically face palmed. Within this government she was a simple merchant and while a few of these droids knew about her secret, most of them did not. Not one to easily reveal her secrets, she was here to be more of a transporter and not a fighter.

"If I had known you needed stealth, I wouldn't have brought these ships. Hopefully they don't draw attention because they belong to a merchant!"

Not at all mad, she did exclaim this at the end.

"Do you want me to hail them below? Distract with business and you guys can go about yours?"

Here she followed their orders and requests and while she could request something, it would be up to them if they complied.

His people were descended of wood folks. They once lived in the woods, with no technology, hunting for food and learning magic from the gods in the forests. And now, here he was, leading his people in a age of immense advance, where not only they could cure most, if not all, diseases, but they had to rely in machines with great intelligence to help them in their daily tasks. And not only that, but in the communications as well, for now they could project themselves for others to watch.

“Stand by, Iedolas Aldercapt Solidor, First of His Name, Duke of House Solidor, King of Kaikielius, Chairman in the Bank of the Core and elected Primarch of the Interstellar Protectorate!”, the voice of his herald announce, as it was customary for most nobles of such old blood to still do it so. The elzeri were, still, a people of many traditions from their days of roaming all over the galaxy. As his image showed up his whole body perfectly, Iedolas smiled and nodded for the person that received him.

"Greetings", he announced, his body being projected by the holocrab that held his image. Clear and proud. Funny for him was the fact that the machines in this new age of technology were quite the emotional pieces, with personalities and even feelings, in his opinion, what separated them from machines? Organic tissue? If that was the case, they were in disadvantage, he thought in the past about using cybernetics but found they were not suited for him, machines they were but they were more honorable than most humans and others.

AD-8 agreed [member="Riamah"]'s bulky merchant ships could draw unwanted attention,

"Good idea, be ready to assist if things get sticky though."

He saw [member='Primarch Iedolas'] had arrived, he had ships so AD-8 invited him to try and find more allies for the metal lords, they needed more friends. he sat back and waited until they reached the rendezvous point and then contacted the others,

"Lets get troops on the ground, I will discuss the plan down there."

WD-334's ship arrived to the rendezvous. There the ship held, and a single shuttle attached to the hull began to descend upon given the order by @AD-8. "Affirmative AD-8. This unit will be on the ground in moments." With it's personal guard, the war droid on board the shuttle headed down to the ground where their objective would be. To be in the chance of action once more, it brought some sort of excitement to the droid even. An odd feeling to be sure to the normally unfeeling droid.

Putting into her voice the most business sounding tone she could, Ra opened up communications with the planet below.

"This is Riamah with the supplies you ordered. Do you have a place for me to drop these off or do I need to bring this down shuttle by shuttle. That is SOOO time consuming, but unless you have a location that can dock, that's all we can do."

Soon enough there was a male on the other end in a clearly confused state.

"This is Tavrik Gundo and we ordered nothing. Who are you here to deliver to?"

As she spoke and distracted these guys, Ra just hoped her droid companions would take the hint and get a move on with what they were doing.

"Look, the person that ordered this, paid for it and requested to be delivered is...give me just a second to get this pulled up."

Of course she had a name ready to go, but this was all part of the delay tactics she employed.
