SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The Longinus is a singular masterpiece of the Goran's craft, built by a loving husband to give his young wife the weapon of her nightmares, and the symbol of her twice defeat of the Netherworld.
  • 9'5" long from pommel to tip of the blade. Core made from beskar, with the Ori’ramikad wood surrounding to save weight.
  • The Longinus' spearhead is the same once-broken now reforged spearhead the six year old Yasha was found with, when escaping through the Warlock Gate.
  • The hand-hold is woven with strips of Terentatek leather.

Strengths:
  • Biotether: The Longinus was built to be used by Yasha Cadera alone. Repulsers in the spearhead and pommel make using the weapon a nigh impossible feat for any who are not bio-tethered to it. Yasha can also 'call' the Longinus to her hand, if it is within a 10m proximity to her body.
  • Gravitational Inhibition Fields: The Longinus was reforged with a Dovin Basal built into the spearhead, giving the weapon the ability to create shields, or propel itself across the battlefield through the generation of a micro-black hole. While not nearly as strong as the Dovin Basals used to propel Vongshaped ships, the ability to create temporary shields, and disrupt local gravity (no more than 1m radius from the spearhead), the Dovin Basal in the Longinus can project at the tip of the blade.
  • Beskar-Edge: The Longinus' blade is surgically sharp, and capable of resisting attack from a lightsaber or equivalent weapon.

Weaknesses:
  • Weight: The Longinus' component weight make it heavy and hard to wield for a normal being for extended lengths of time.
  • Shaft: Crafted of wood over a beskar core, the shaft is capable of shattering/splintering under the right amount of force. The Ori'ramikad Wood must be kept in good condition, and can weather poorly if ill-treated. Should the shaft split, the weapon must be repaired with a replacement shaft. Due to the native incaptibility of Ori’ramikad wood with the vongshaped dovin basal at the tip, the Longinus requires constant maintenance, lest the wood split and crack. In battle, vongshaped weapons can destroy the shaft’s wood components with ease.
  • Force User: A talented Force User can move the miniature gravitational anomalies created by the Dovin Basal to their advantage.
  • Requires Unique Repair: Due to the unique nature of the Longinus Spear, only the original crafter and one taught directly from him are capable of repairing the weapon if damaged.

DESCRIPTION
An infant and her mother were cast into the Netherworld those terrible years ago. Armed only with her beskar'gam and engineering wits, Aditya Mantis crawled, hid and slew her and her growing baby's way through the Chaos of the Netherworld, picking up anything useful along the way.

In the Field of Blades, Aditya found for her growing daughter the remains of a spear, which looked (to her at least) to still be in good enough knick. Wrapping the two pieces of the spearhead in leather (don't ask), Aditya used them in her and Yasha's defence, until Yasha was old enough and strong enough to wield them. At the age of six,
with her comatose and dying mother on their only blanket, Yasha tugged and fought their way through the Warlock Gate. Clutched in both hands, were two pieces of the same spearhead. For neither food nor toy would the child let go of the blades, until her father discovered her and took his family home.

Life should have been paradisiacal for the young Mando'ad'ika, but the happiness of reunion was for naught, when the Second Mandalorian Excision, caused by the Dar'manda Mia Monroe's cataclysmic destruction of Mandalore's surface killed her pregnant mother.

At her mother's funeral on the rubble of their former home, Yasha dug with both hands, until she found the wreckage of her bedroom. She pulled the cloth-wrapped broken spearhead out of the disastrous avalanche of ash and slag as her family yanked her away.

Once more, all that was left of Yasha's life were the clothing on her back, and the broken fragments of a spear formed out of the Chaos. As a child, she fought in the Mandalorian Civil War, a horrible burden on one so young, squirrelling away the only pieces of her past she dared remember. When the Undying gave young Yasha a place to stay, the spearhead's fragments were her first and only decoration.

When the newly minted Katlaydr conducted her fateful Verd'goten on Dathomir, one of the spear fragments was attached to her side. That day heralded seven more years in the Netherworld, until she was returned to the minute after she touched the Warlock Gate.

Still, the spearhead fragment was with her. Through every trial, in every place she laid her head, the one piece of Chaos stayed with her... she mused often about reforging the fragments, until one day when she slid them together, Yasha noticed a curiosity previously missed.

There were not two shards, but three.

The third shard of the spearhead was delivered to Yasha by [member="Tobias Dib"], during the Mandalorian Dominion of Ithor, a sign from Manda.

It was time, Infernal Wolf, for the Spear to be made whole, as it was time for the woman she became to be made whole.

Clutching the fragments to her chest, she unwrapped them for her riduur, Kaine Australis the day after their impromptu wedding. Amber eyes met a cerulean gaze. It was time.

Mand'alor needed one more weapon.

A symbol of Mandalorian destruction and rebirth.

The Longinus is a singularly magnificent weapon, who's act of creation was a symphony of worship to a loyal bride. This was to be the God-Slayer. The King-Breaker. The weapon to end all war. It vibrates to the heartbeat of Manda'yaim, and slices through the air as if cleaving atoms in twain. Both of the universe and outside of it, the Longinus is said to carry the souls of those cut down by the spearhead at ransom, never to reach heaven's gates unless the Infernal wills it.

Who know, but her?

(OOC: The Longinus cannot steal souls and hold them.)

[member="Yasha Cadera"], A very quick problem I see from the get go, is that you use the Mandalorian Tree, that has a specific weakness to Vong Technology, and then you use a Dovin Basal in the head of the spear. I have a feeling the first time you would activate the Dovin Basal, the wood on the shaft would have literally, an allergic reaction to being around Vong Tech that is active, and could crack, splinter, melt away, or even explode.

It is your choice to have it in there that the wood could literally break down while in use, or you can replace/remove one of the two.

Second, How is the spear rated at "Very Heavy" when the wood it uses is known to be "Very light weight" in its own submission, and have beskar only for the metal parts itself? At best this would be a heavy spear simply due to the metal alone. Your spear is at

when the average, average spear length is around 8 foot, or 2.4 meters. Your spear is 2.8 meters. With most of that length being "Lightweight wood"

This spear is honestly barely above average length, and weight comparable to other spears. Now, if you had the central core of the shaft made of beskar, and the wood wrapped around the core so it can be more resistant to strikes over all, then I would understand the weight.
