Private The Lights That Weren’t On (BIRTHDAY BASH!!!!)

Steam curled like breath around them as the water hissed to life, warm and luxurious. The bathroom was marble and chromeglass, designed to seduce — but they needed no help.

Sommer stepped under the water first, head tilted back, arms high to free her curls. Drops slid over her throat, across her collarbone, down her back. She didn't turn when Andrew entered behind her — just smiled when his hands found her waist and pulled her into his chest.

His answer was a kiss to the back of her neck.

They stayed like that for long minutes — letting the water wash away the remnants of last night. His hands massaged her scalp. Her fingers traced lazy lines down his spine. No rush. No walls. No Veil.

Just them.

They dressed in the golden calm that follows lovers who've finally said everything they needed to.

Sommer wore a draped wrap dress in off-white silk and luminous lenses over her eyes. Her heels shimmered with subtle weapon enhancements. Her skin glowed.

Andrew wore black — of course. His coat billowed as he walked, a sharp contrast to the relaxed energy between them.

At the hangar, the Sea Ghost waited — Sommer's private luxury cruiser, retrofitted with both spa decks and smuggling compartments.

As the ramp closed and the city of Nar Shaddaa vanished into distance, Sommer leaned against Andrew in the seat beside him, head resting lightly on his shoulder.

"Utapau," she murmured.

"Yeah."

A pause.

"New chapter?"

The Sea Ghost touched down with a whisper, its repulsorlifts disturbing only a few sunbathing waterbirds before settling neatly atop a glassstone landing pad that jutted over the cliff like a dare. Below them, the sea of Utapau stretched for miles — a sapphire quilt patterned with shallows and deep shadows, edged by ivory-sand beaches and fluted stone.

The retreat — a multi-tiered marvel carved directly into the cliffside — shimmered under the twin suns. Its architecture was half-nature, half-art: whitewashed stone corridors open to the air, flowering trellises climbing carved archways, and translucent sails catching the breeze like slow-moving wings. Every floor offered a different view of the sea. The air smelled like citrus and salt, faintly spiced with something floral carried in from inland jungles.

Sommer stepped from the ship barefoot, her silk wrap dress fluttering around her legs like a dream freshly remembered. The warmth of the stone kissed her feet. She sighed — not dramatically, not theatrically, but with genuine delight.

"This," she said, turning in a slow circle, "is what power should buy."

Their Suite — Cliffside Opulence

They were greeted by a pair of attendants dressed in loose, pale linens — no names, just gestures and chilled towels.

Their private suite took up the entire southern wing, built around a central open-air courtyard with a waterfall pool and hanging couches. Massive windows dissolved into nothing, leaving the sea and sky to spill inside. The bedroom had a bed the size of a landspeeder, the kitchen was stocked with rare wines and local delicacies, and the bathroom — as Andrew had promised — featured a half-moon tub suspended over the cliff edge, the clear bottom showing the endless drop below.

Sommer moaned dramatically as she laid herself across the daybed like a goddess returning to the realm of her worshipers.

"Alright," she declared, "I need three things before I can truly relax."

Just as she was adjusting her earrings and checking her reflection in a mirrored panel, a soft ping sounded from her comm.

A secure holo-message. From Kael.

Sommer blinked — then opened it.

The image fuzzed for a second, then stabilized.

Kael stood in a dimly lit corridor, leaning against a cargo crate, wearing that usual lopsided grin of his — scuffed jacket, hair tousled, drink in hand. His voice was warm, teasing but… different. Sincere.

"Hey, Cousin. Heard you made it out of that hornet's nest and into a palace of sun and pleasure. About time."
"I know I don't always say it. Or say it right. But seeing you run the Veil, watching you build something beautiful out of the rot they handed us? You remind me that there's still room for people like us to win."
"So live a little extra for me, alright? Eat something decadent. Kiss someone dangerous. And if you get into trouble… well, you know I'll show up. Just like you would."
"I love you, Sommer."
"...Always did."
