  • Classification: Micro-Lightsaber
  • Size: Very Small
  • Weight: Very Light

  • Protected: The lightsaber is incredibly well designed, using the highest-grade equipment. Failures are rare to nonexistent. The songsteel casing makes it highly resistant to most forms of damage, and the hardened circuitry makes it resistant to emp and ion attacks as well.
  • Versatile: It has as much micronized technology inside the hilt as can be put in. It can go to two different lengths, one just under a foot, and the other at a foot and a half. It can work under water, it is resistant to cortosis shut off, and the blade power can be changed to fit the current situation.
  • A secret: The blade is specifically designed to be able to absorb energy from blaster shots, and when it clashes with a lightsaber. It allows it to store the extra energy for more powerful strikes. It can also slowly drain the power cells of any lightsaber it clashes with.
  • Cortosis: It is designed with a unique activation loop. This allows the lightsaber to experience a blow against cortosis without going out.

  • Small: The blade is much smaller and thinner than an average lightsaber. Even at its most extended the blade is half the size of a standard lightsaber blade.
  • Careful: Due to how close the wielder is to the ground; he has to be careful when using the extended lightsaber blades or else risk striking the ground in the middle of his movements.
  • Explosion Warning: While it can absorb energy, it must be utilized or shunted correctly, otherwise the power cell will explode from being over charged.
  • Cortosis: While it's unique activation loop helps protect it from immediate shut down upon contact with cortosis, it is still vulnerable to it. if it hits cortosis the blade weakens, but doesn't completely go out. But after a couple of hits against it, or one long connect, it will still experience the sputtering and shut down that all lightsabers experience.

When creating a lightsaber what should a Librarian use as the base materials? He started with song steel, not because of its defensive properties but because of how lightweight it was when compared with other materials. The defense was a bonus. Then, the Librarian chose only the most choice of equipment to put inside, most of it micronized to fit the much smaller weapon.

Radiation hardened circuitry was used to prevent it from failing in an emp field, ion storm or the like. A bifurcating cyclical ignition pulse was placed inside in the high likelihood he would find himself under water during his travels. To prevent his weapon from being stolen or used against him, the grip was electrically trapped to stun anyone who grabbed it that wasn't him. Next, he made it so that the blade intensity and power could be changed from full power, to just a ghost beam that another lightsaber could pass through.

A dual phase system was set in place, so that the length could be changed to deal with circumstances. The normal length was just under a foot, while when extended it went to a bit over a foot and a half. Other bits and bobs were put in. A unique activation loop so that cortosis had trouble shorting it out, at least if it was short hits. Perhaps most importantly, an energy drain system was put in place. It would steal energy from lightsabers it clashed with, or blaster bolts that hit it, and was able to greatly increase its power. It could also completely drain an enemy's lightsaber in a long-drawn-out fight. It could also shunt the energy into the air around them so that the energy cells didn't over charge, if needed.

Finally, he utilized two specially prepared glass shards formed from an ancient Shikkar that had been created by a lost Sith tribe. All of it went into a small package, creating a unique lightsaber fit for a tiny Squirrel Librarian.

Interesting one, I really like it. I found one thing:
  • Please add to the weaknesses list what happens to the blade if it meets with Cortosis. So please add this standard lightsaber weakness to your list.
