The Liberation of Dac [Republic vs. Sith Empire]

@[member="Iella E`ron"] @[member="Aurelic Vos Talen"] @[member="Syn"]

Aronis could hear Aurelic shouting as he charged, but it was too late. The speed of the attacks were too great for him to stand a chance at dodging. He was knocked down, there was immense pain in his side. He had probably broken a few ribs, blood ran down his face and cloak. He was in a pretty poor condition.

Aronis flung his lightsaber across the street and out of reach, indicating surrender. He lay there for a minute, before slowly getting up. "We surrender." He said the words weakly.

Aronis turned to look at the other Jedi master, Syn. Suddenly he shot a Force push at his legs, before activating his other lightsaber, conviently tucked away until now. The green blade sprung to life as he weakly lunged at her. The attacks were only an attempt to distract them for a moment and allow Aurelic a chance to escape.

Aronis knew Aurelic was capable of becoming invisible and void to Force users, he could run and hide or at least hide.

She could sense Aronis is not lost to the darkness entirely, from him came concern for his friend regardless of the friend being bad company, but concern for others is not a Sith trait. Afterall, the rest of them had abandoned Aronis and the other. But if they attempted to run and hide .. where would they go? They could not hide in the city for long before the Republic Troopers would find them or the local authorities, outside the city there is only water.

Aronis's lunge at her is weak, his injuries preventing him from a dedicated strike and Iella easily dodged to the side that held his saber, her fists .. in quick secession struck his arm with full force of power enough to break bone, it would be enough to force Aronis to drop the saber.

"Enough!", she snapped sharply, "You have nowhere to go".

Rayl watched the time tick away on his wrist chrono. Almost half the allotted time had pasted by. He did so eagerly wish to launch the ship and see the shipyard break apart from the resulting crust cracking explosion, but he'd promised to wait the given time to allow any Sith to escape.

"Sir, report. We're getting activity from some of the ships in dock. I think they're going to launch them at us"?

"Unbelievable. Inform the fleet to shoot them down once they come past the shield. Let nothing near". Half fitted ships and ones still under repair. The Clamarian's and Republic were officially desperate. Hopelessly desperate. A last stand to save their stinking fishrot yard from annihilation. To pass it from one paymaster to the next. Well Rayl was quite against that. The Republic wanted it. The Sith wanted to keep it. And he wasn't allowed to use it. Guess that means no one can have it.

Aurelic Vos Talen

Jedi Newcomer and Shapeshifting Marsupial
The Sith watched as Aronis charged I'ella once more only to be beaten down in response. They were both wounded and Aurelic noted they had little chance of survival by any means other than surrender. They needed to give in. He hated himself for it, it was tearing into him, it was such a sign of weakness and now it was his choice. Death or Weakness... Death or All of his Sith Ideals. He thought and then looped towards Aronis, limping weakly.

He hoped Aronis would go along with him. He actually wanted them both to live oddly enough.

"I surrender... We surrender, or at least hope we both do."

His liquid voice was broken, shattered, it hardly held itself with the pride and malicious intent that it once did. Surrender was their best chance and Aurelic wanted live.

The lightsaber fell, clashing against the floor. Aronis' arm was not broken, but he could feel the pain from her powerful swing. And it was all a waste, Aurelic had chosen to surrender. Aronis would not be offering any more resistance, at all. They were likely headed for an unfair trial, then prison or death was always a possibility. Aronis wondered what would happen then, the Sith couldn't really afford to send a rescue team.

Aronis waited to see what would happen next. Torture?

Space over Mon Calamari:
Onboard a Commandeered Imperial Ship, the Secura.

Donatos…The Red Mon Calamarian….Azu-Cal….he now had many titles, and twice the responsibilities attached with them. He rode in the passenger seat of a small transport slowly descending into the shield protected hangar bay of his de-facto flagship, The Secura.

The vessel was a refurbished artifact from the Clone Wars, preserved on the coral reefs for centuries. In recent time a Sith Master had ordered its reconstruction, most likely to be used as a trophy or symbol of nostalgia for those who favored times and treasures of war. Donatos saw this ship as no treasure, it was a punishment. His people beaten, starved and mutilated over frivolous projects such as this just goad the egos of their masters.

The non-self proclaimed leader of the Resistance stood up from his contemplations, the fogs of day dreams and of the past dissipated from his mind as he exited down the transport’s ramp. He was met with technicians and a commanding officer from his elite forces; they walked with him on route to the command bridge. Donatos said nothing, his lips shut and eyes set only in front of him as he continued his stride down the ancient corridors of this attack cruiser.

Once he arrived on the command bridge, his cape still swaying behind him and from side to side as he turned facing a life size projection of the Jedi woman who aided him in the siege of the Orbital Ring. The woman, name unknown still, but at the moment far from important asked for a war conference with only minutes to spare before an all out attack broke loose in the stars above the ocean world. She gazed at Donatso and he gazed back, the defense now laid solely on them. Jedi strike teams had managed to land on the planet and took a direct raiding party into the capital city, to dethrone the Sith occupiers. That meant little to nothing, the Sith who sat on the thrones of Mon Cal and Quarren corpses posed no threat. They have been on the planet for centuries and the Resistance was doing well on its own despite their lack of resources and Jedi.

This incoming fleet and the assumed control of the ship yards were important tactics to be dealt with, the Sith Masters below held literally nothing. The planet’s slave population was evacuated to Azu’nami knows where, the Ship Yards would have been left to be destroyed by the Republic and or the Sith. This was not their world; it belonged to neither of them. Both had no right to be here, yet the facts remained. One was suffocating the planet with tyranny and the other…..gently removing one finger off the choking throat of the planet.

Still holding his gaze, the leader of the Resistance spoke to Jedi woman, “The stations sensors have reported that age Stardestroyer is on a trajectory for the ship yards, intent on ramming the Ring and obliterating it. We won’t allow that, my commandeered fleet has automated turrets, able pilots and tractor beams. The tractor beam ships are coming from the sith of the destroyer, we will drag it off course. Once it passes this line.”

On the holographic display, shared by both The Secura and The Salvation, a red line was simulated infront of the combined blockade. “As soon as the destroyer is in position we will initiate the beams and pull it away from the yards, your Republic fleet is to protect us from the rest of the enemy fleet.”

The Mon Calamarian leaned in closer to the Jedi woman’s holographic face, he murmured something in her hear, it sounded like ancient Mon Calamarian, a prayer language.

Iella stood up straight and motioned to the Republic Troopers to come and detain Aronis and his friend. Quickly the two are taken into to a nearby Republic ship and placed in the hold until they return to Coruscant.

"Make sure they are treated for their wounds, Commander and have those sabers collected and stored in a strong box", she asked. She watched as they moved away, knowing that her work was still to come, to get Aronis and, if he wishes, his friend to the light once more.

As soon as the words of the 'prayer' left the Mon Calamarian's mouth, the message was ended, leaving the holo-table dark and lifeless. Pondering the last few words uttered to her, Rasu turned around to face the bridge crew. "Prepare the tractor beams, and get the fighters in the hangar bays ready for launch. Set a trajectory for the suicide ship. Let's move people we've got a shipyard to save." Walking to the end of the cat walk, Rasu stared out the massive viewing screen, her eyes fixed on the flaming cruiser, making it's way over to their makeshift fleet.

The destruction of the warship was essential, if it was able to get past their blockade then there would be nothing stopping it from colliding with the yards, vaporizing her friends that had remained to defeat the Hutt Sith. If the ship was to be obliterated then it would need to be destroyed from within. "Prepare a shuttle and a boarding crew, we'll destroy that pirate and his crew from the inside out. Transmit that data over to the Secura as well." Rasu said, as she turned, leaving the bridge and it's crew behind. Stepping onto a turbo-lift, she took it down to the nearest hangar bay, feeling a jolt through the ship as it took on fire from the kamikaze ship.

To the Shi'idos utmost delight, as she departed the lift she witnessed the crew of a small shuttle finalize the check list before launch. Word moves fast on Dac it seems, she thought, smirking a little. Taking her place, she wrapped the support cord around her wrist, as she felt the shuttle leave its spot on the hangar and enter open space, blaster fire and explosions increasing in sound as they approached the kamikaze ship. Rasu had to at times grip the cord tightly as the shuttle swerved, dodging heavy turbolaser fire and proton torpedoes aimed at the small but swift boarding vessel.

It did not take long before the Shi'ido felt the shift in gravity, as the shuttle passed through the atmospheric shield of the enemy craft. To her relief, she stepped off the shuttle still in one piece although a little shaky from the flight over. "We'll wait here for the next strike team for only a few minutes, we can't afford to waste time." she said to her boarding team. The Quarrens and Mon Calamari looked at her with a bit of apprehension. It would not be long till either their fleet destroyed the craft, or that it broke through and destroyed the shipyards. Both results ending in an explosion. It was understandable that the team didn't want to be on the warship if it was going to explode, but Rasu wanted to wait until the others arrived. Together they would make it through the ship, much faster. It would not be long till their part in the invasion was finally over.

The rag tag last stand was proving very poor for the Republic's allies. A cruiser exploded in a spectacular fashion from a critical hit to the engines; compliments of a mass driver slug. Debris ranged out in all directions. Posing a threat to other ships and inevitably the shipyard. Well, provided it reached it before he destroyed it. Rayl checked his chronokeeper; only eleven minutes left. Any Sith still on board were pushing their luck, not that it was of any concern to him. This was just business.

Masses of slugs and turbo bolts were passing back and forth between each side. Numerous fighters and bombers dogfighting and making attack runs. The turbulent tide of battle churned and raged, but the deck was set against the enemy for at any time the fire ship could jump and end this battle. "Pellaeon's continue targeting shielded targets. I want them disabled before they've a chance. The rest of you concentrate fire in your zones. Let nothing get inside the exclusion zone". The line must be held for flawless execution.

"Sir, the fire ship is reporting a craft is boarding her".

"What! Tell the droids to stop them. If they are forced, launch the scrapheap before they make it to any critical systems and let their actions be their doom". Rayl gritted his teeth. He knew well the battle was now a confused whirlwind. But the picket ships should of blasted that tiny ship before it got within a kilometer. They could unravel everything, but that wouldn't happen. They would launch before that could happen.

Space over Mon Calamari:

Onboard an oval shaped transport, a task force of Mon Cal and Quarren resistance fighters piloted their way through the streams of colorful laser fire. In the passenger hold, their leader the only known Force user of the Mon Calamari was in a meditation pose. Their religious priest, and closes advisory to the Azu-Cal stated that their young leader usually day dreamed, it could sometimes provide him with insight....but it was also his weakness, to be distracted so easily. They prayed his insight would out way his Jedi like rituals and see them through to victory. The shuttle rocked and vibrated as it took a skimmed shot to its hull from enemy fire. The blockade forces were taking most of the punishment, protecting the strike team transports. The Jedi Woman, whom the Azu-Cal had placed his faith in had arrived on board the enemy ship first. The soliders gave uneasy looks to one another as the burning vessel enlarged in their forward view port. They each made a prayer gesture over their heads, and in their minds said in holy unison 'All life will rise, all things die...' The one truth.

The transport shook once more as blaster fire skimmed past the round body of the transport. The atmospheric shield was in sight, the turbo lasers guarding it were too busy fighting off allied fighter pilots, who for this plan served only to distract the enemy while the strike force landed. The oval pod like carrier eased through the shield and hovered not too far from the Jedi's transport. The soldiers lowered the ramp and each exited with murmuring grunts and prayers. The last to exit was their leader, Azu-Cal though his birth name was Donatos and that was more of his preference. The young red Mon Cal wore the armor of a defeated Sith, black and sleek, reflections shone off the fine metal even the dull, burned scorched marks held a blurry cast of light. The simplistic cylinder that hung from his belt, was not of his design, that too belonged to an unknown and dead Sith. His black cape swayed behind him, it looked to be wrapped thickly around his neck and shoulder, making him look much more built than he really was beneath the clad cloak and armor.

"Mistress Jedi, shall we begin?" the Resistance leader said in a raspy deep voice as he brought an upside down palm facing the direction of the main doors. He was surprised to see there were no droid guards in the hangar, this implied that the crew of this vessel was also skelatal at best. It seemed logical, the Sith did not want to waste lives of their own and did not seem to want to waste credits on throwing hundreds of droids away either.

WID-11

The adorable, tyrannical, infamous muffin annihilator WID-11. Service and information droid on his last mission ever. To grandly sacrifice himself. For the good of the Empire. To destroy the shipyards of Dac. He was the last one anyone would think could possibly handle such an important mission, well, he liked to think that. His survival circuits defied the logic others seemed to have that he was good enough for the mission. He was unworthy, a stupid little droid who didn't want to die. But he can't disobey the masters, the mission must go through!

"The enemy has boarded us. Send the defense teams to intercept in corridor 12-C. Crush them". The big shiny droid sent his lessers to their doom. WID-11 just kept working on the bridge controls. Doomed though they be.
