The journey begins.

Claire sighed nervously. She had been studding it but she was worried she could have forgotten something important and she really didn't want to mess this up. "How about we go over it again just to be on the safe side?"

Matsu looked at her and gave a nod of her head while she brought out one of the kits for constructing and repairing the kits with her attention on a few of the things. Explaining each part and where it went before leaving it there for her. "You can construct it by hand or with the force. It all comes

Claire nodded, took a deep breath and sat down. This was it, this was going to be another one of those big moments. Her very own lightsaber She placed the crystal in the center of what Matsu had given her. Claire then picked up the parts with the force and began to slowly piece them to together. Claire wasn't a very quick craftier because she was extremely careful not to make a mistake despite the fact the force had been guiding her though a lot of the process.

Eventually Claire finished the saber. The whole hilt was white and it had a simple look to it. After checking the saber one more time it was time to test it. "Ok... Here we go." Claire then activated her saber with the force and a light blue energy blade appeared before her, it didn't admit any heat unless touched and it appeared to be completely stable. "I.. I can't believe it.. I actually did it. This is amazing..." Claire then turned the saber off and handed it to Matsu. "What do you think? Is it good?"

Matsu looked at the girl and looked at the saber with a nod of her head. The small raising of an eyebrow gave her plenty to do before turning it over in her hands. "It is very nice, uniquely crafted and yours." She handed it back while looking over everything in the cave and they really had no reason to wait around but time wasn't being pressed. It gave the jedi master some time to work with her. "Now you have taken on of the major steps of a jedi. Your saber is an extension of you and it is something you should not draw or activate unless you mean it. Compared to many of the things going around that I have seen this is not a bad way to think. It should be encouraged even but it isn't always. You'll face a great many threats in your time and just have to be a little more clever to stop and handle them." She was proud of the padawan though for her hard work and digging in the equipment pack she produced one of the milks. "So you can grow up big and strong."

Claire nodded in agreement with what Matsu said about not using a saber unless you had too. "Your right. Lightsabers are many things but a toy is not one of them. I am happy to have one don't get me wrong but I'm not exactly looking forward to having to use it in a fight." Claire then took a drink of milk.

"That is one of the best steps that all jedi have to learn. A lot are quick and see it as special which to use it yes you are special. To feel the force makes you special but what you do with that is where many mess up. You want to be able to use your talents for the betterment of people but still allow them to do their own thing and if need be let them make their own mistakes." She had seen some jedi well try to help people by doing everything and then the jedi doesn't stop helping them which can be a problem just as much as doing nothing. You needed to work with and try to teach others how to do things on their own while still being there and ready to help them solve problems. Balance and as Matsu got her own milk she was looking over some of the things. "Now with your saber and everything what would you like to do next padawan?"

Claire as trying to think, there was something she wanted to ask Matsu. Oh Right! She thought to herself as she remembered.

"Well actually, I was wondering if you could help me with something." Claire said in a slightly worried tone. "Ever since I started training to use the force I've been having the wired nightmares... Normally I wouldn't think this would be a big deal but... it's always about the same thing and it doesn't feel exactly like a dream... Is this something I should be worried about...?"

matsu was looking at her with a look on her face before she was thinking about what the padawan was saying. Dreams and nightmares were tricky things compared to some of the stuff they had done previously. THey could be visions of the force, memories of the past or thoughts of the future. She wasn't exactly certain what might be happening or what it might be but she could work with the padawan to try and figure it out as they needed to be able to work on the different aspects of the force and this could fall into that training. "Dreama nd visions when you sleep can be many things and show many aspects. Tell me about them."

Claire nodded and tried to remember the dream.

"Well... most of the time I'm on Alderaan, pretty close to where I grew up... Sometimes it's different though.. Sometimes it's on a ship or someplace I've never been too before. One thing is the same though, wherever we are looks like a warzone... fire and explosions are everywhere and the heat is unbearable."

"I'm standing across from a guy in a black hood covering his face. I can't tell who he is but in the dream I know him and I'm sad to see him. We talk but I can't remember the words we exchange... I can tell he's angry though and I'm trying to convince him of something important. He draws a red blade and lightning shoots from his hands to attack me, but it's odd.. he doesn't seem to be trying to hurt me, just scare me into leaving. The fight's always different and always ends a different way.. Sometimes I win and I'm horrified by the fact that I killed him... other times it's me... It hurts.. a lot... and he also seems to be upset by what he did. Sometimes though the fight doesn't end with anyone losing. Sometimes he stops and listens to me and he comes with me. I'm so happy when he does, I don't feel any evil from him anymore and I hug him like he was my best friend. But sometimes instead I hear this voice in my head that sounds almost demonic and I start acting like some crazed witch. It's absolutely creepy... He acts horrified but I bow to him... like I'm his servant now."

Well that was not what she was expecting and figuring out dreams like that could be complicated. THere were force techniques she knew for seeing into the future and being able to see possible outcomes but it was a very rare and often dangerous thing as you might try and alter the events leading to something far worse coming. More so as Matsu was there listening she was trying to think of the rest for what they might be able to do with the infromation. Teaching a technique like that to be controlled by a padawan was laughable it was hard for masters who were skilled. A padawan wouldn't have the control or the years of training needed with experience to be able to handle it. "That is a very interesting dream and there is a lot that could come from it but I would not let it dominate your mind for now. It could all be in your head or it could be the force telling you something.... the danger will be in if you obsess over it."

Matsu looked at her with a small grin on her face while she was walking a little and brought her arm out putting it on her shoulders. "You will be fine padawan, it might seem strange but dreams are hard to fight against. Anything can happen, all you can do is wait and see or hope maybe that it becomes something physical you can stop. If it never does then you've nothing to worry about, if it does then you will have the training of a jedi and the lightside of the force to aid you in improving upon and stopping it."

Claire nodded. "Alright then. Well in that case since I have a lightsaber now I guess I should try to do some saber training again. If you don't mind that is."

Matsu looked at her padawan and opened her arms. "There is no problem with it padawan we can work on what you would like and saber practice is always important to use." Matsu was standing there for a moment with a grin on her face when she looked at her padawan with her hand going to her hip so she could get ready. Standing there when the saber hilt was there before she moved to the side. "Do you have a form that you would like to work with and learn?" Matsu was curious when she had both of her sabers ready for anything that could be moving around.

Matsu looked at her padawan with a raised ewyebrow but she shouldn't be surprised at that, there was some skill and a grin was on her face. "Form IV is ateru an aggressive form when used that emphasizes moving around and being in a very good level of physical motion. You want to keep moving around an area. Form VI is Niman a balanced form that has no strengths but also has no weaknesses in terms of what it is able to do. You need an understanding of the other forms to know how best to use the techniques that go into it so you can combat force users, saber wielders and others with blasters."

Matsu looked at her and was prepared to work with it, holding her saber at the ready just in case they wanted to start training it but the forms she had been asking about were forms you wanted to work up to after establishing a foundation of skills with the other forms. Shii-cho was important to build up towards all of the other forms. "We will get where you want eventually, the forms are meant to build upon each other and as a padawan you get a chance to discover your comfort zone and level."

Matsu looked at her and with her saber she moved into place taking a shri-cho stance with a nod of her head. "We shall begin at the beginning and build you up, training requires levels and progression same as anything so learned the most basic of forms allows you to build into the others and have a place you will be able to fall back into." She knew many discounted shii-cho wanting the bigger, flashier forms but the foundation and fundamentals of saber combat were just as important as knowing the advanced forms like niman and djem so. Matsu herself just liked to practice all of them to really build herself up.
