Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist

Matsu was looking at her and all of it, they were doing a whole lot of training here now when she saw her padawan mirror her stance and then she moved with the blade showing it at a fraction of the speed so she could watch it. "Now a normal fight you want your speed to be put into it, if you leave it and endanger yourself then you have to be strong enough to take a strike." She was prepared working with them while presenting herself a few other situations and the ideals now. "Here we go." Matsu moved her blade for Claire to let her block and then mirror it going on the attack.

"Yes just like that and as you are working on it, as you are learning there is the most important part. Your muscles and your brain are something you will want to teach to react differently from one another. You can and will lose reaction time in a fight from the small amount of time it takes your brain to tell your body to move. Letting the force guide your body can allow you to defend from others."

Matsu looked at her and oh how to better explain it... better yet show it. THe technique for a jedi master was best to battle other masters themselves and for fast paced combat..... but matsu loved a challenge while she stood there and was moving her hands. "The force is a poweful thing the jedi can access it is in many ways the one constant companion you will have and when you channel it completely your body can move with it guiding you instead of your brain. Within a combat scenario padawan you can use it to defend yourself against others."

"Yes and you work to train your body so that it will be able to move. It can take yers to learn how to preform the skill and only through training does it come out. Both to be stronger but also so that everything becomes a muscle memory." She was moving around and looking at things. "It is not a skill non force users can muster, the ability to use the force and train your body to move with it and protect yourself could take you a lifetime to learn. I am not even a master of it, just at best a novice who knows how to use it."

Matsu looked at her padawan and there was a compliment there but she had to be more humble about it. "Well one of the main things is that I do not dwell on it. Others will tell you all that you can't do and know your limitations... but we are jedi. We try to push our limits so that we will be able to help the galaxy. Confining ourselves can be good but only the most simple of minds picks one place to be and stays there and only there. The force is knowledge and knowledge never stops, it never ends and so a jedi's knowledge never should stop."

Matsu was looking at her before she motioned Claire to follow with them. She was going now and leading Claire through so they would have a small cleared area. "It is no much I know, when it comes to the jedi it really is something simple with the chance to explore and make more of it if you want to. It is how I have taught all of my padawans." Matsu had a small smile while she was leaving some space. There was always a chance for tea and little bits of food that that they would all be able to eat. The ration packs really were some fo the best compared to the others once they had. She had worked with Sorel on much the same.
