The warlord looked down at the others as more and more gathered to infiltrate the facility. All walks of human life, they were. He stuck out liek a sore thumb. He liked that. It meant he was the center of the enemy's attention, allowing him to capture more glory in taking them down. He was a hound for glory. Relished in the thought that his name would be feared by his enemies and respected by his allies.
As the doors to the facility opened, a wayward soul ran out. They reeked of fear and desperation. Whatever they had faced inside, Azmodan readied himself for it. He pulled his gun up to a ready position, looking towards the doors. The man fell to the earth, causing Azmodan to briefly avert his gaze to him. And then, in almost an instant, the creatures chasing him were immediately on top of him, tearing him apart. Only, they weren't creatures. They were regular people.
Azmodan figured something had twisted their minds, reverting them to an animalistic and barbaric state. Then, before he could react, a horde was unleashed upon the Ascendants. More and more of the same mindless beings sprinting at the group. Without hesitation Azmodan began to fire upon the approaching enemy force. They were undeterred by the blaster fire. Pain did not register within them. Only hunger.
"Dominus. I stand with you! For the Ascendancy!"
Azmodan pushed forward, continuing to cut down the numbers of the encroaching force. He would tear a swath through them at any means. Were the to get too close, the massive cyborg would beat them into the dirt before blasting them to pieces. The thrill of the battle was exhilarating. And to face any enemy Azmodan had not faced before, it was pure bliss.
