At this point, everybody was entangled in their own little struggle — Irwin had been possessed, and other possessed guests had moved in to attack them as well. The woman on top of Valery was luckily not too strong, though the spirit gave her a lot of stamina and far more physical strength than she actually had. It wasn't enough to bring Valery down, but it was more than enough to have Kahlil lose his calm.

He'd never stand by and watch while she was being attacked.

But what should have been her husband coming to her side to help, turned into something far worse. With the Force screaming under his strength, the woman was lifted off of Valery by the throat and neck. She gasped for air and tried to free herself, but nothing worked. Valery, however, felt that same kind of pressure on her own throat, and reached up to just below her chin while she struggled for air.

"B-babe..." Valery squeaked. "Y-you're hurting me..." She had her ways to break free, and perhaps ways to strike back. But this was her husband, and she couldn't find it within herself to lash out in an attempt to stop him.

"Drive them out," She said, her face shifting colors as her oxygen began to ran low. Her body was starting to lose its strength, and her eyes pleaded for him to stop. "I know you c-can," she tried her best to smile, and lend him as much of her own strength as she could for him to push back.

She had to, before it was too late.

It was a small mercy, perhaps, that Jenn kept her head through all this- in a way, at any rate. Even with Kahlil fallen to the pervasive influence of the decidedly evil spirits inhabiting the Mansion, the Mandalorian retained her control over herself, the call of battle keeping all other considerations (and influences) at bay... as did her instinct as an Ersansyr, the thrill of the hunt overtaking her as she battled against Irwin. The demon seemed to animate him with greater resilience and speed- but it was not invincible. Although her attack failed to hit its mark, the sudden dodge caused it to slip and fall down the stairs-

Which was already a boon, really. It gave the Siren a few crucial seconds to devote to the other side of the equation: the Nobles. The time it would take for the demonically possessed Irwin to get back up and go up the stairs to fire that blaster at her yet again was to be counted in seconds, to be sure, but then again, she only needed a handful of those to make a difference. After all, she had no blaster, no beskar'gam, and with one of the two Jedi in the room busy strangling the life out of others, her chances of victory were... somewhat mixed.

And Jenn knew of strategy.

But her plan to unleash a sonic scream right at the unshackled Jedi was crushed before it could ever hope to crystallize. This was not the first time the Manda had been used against her, but it always felt... somewhat traumatic, to a warrior like herself. Feeling the control she held over the situation taken away from her, made helpless. No way for her to fight back. Stuck between a Jedi Master out of control and taken over... and the terror of a blaster and its wielder doubtlessly making their way up the stairs now. Already, she realized he was opening fire again, her eyes snapping shut at the thought of what it would do to her if it hit the mark, vulnerable and exposed as she was.

Blasters burned. And few things scared the Ersansyr more than fire.

Kahlil_Div2.png

It wasn't just Valery or the woman that would feel the pressure from Kahlil. Everyone would.

Everyone.

Kahlil's eyes were oddly clouded and unfocused as the voice rang in his head. Protect Valery. Kill all who were toing to threaten her. Kill all of them. He closed his fist further, choking the woman that had attacked his wife. It was the only thing that really mattered right now. Protect his family from any and all threats. Even Valery's voice was drowned out in the incessant whispers of the demons that wanted everyone to die.

He was fully possessed.

Irwin's body walked up the stairs firing at Jenn trying to sear her. The demon had not been affect by the broken bones or injuries sustained instead brushing them off as if they were nothing. However Irwins trapped mind was in serious pain, it weakening his will to escape and wanting to let out a groan.

The demon had an angry look on its face as it walked up the stairs, its fire focused on Jenn as it walked up the stairs but as it reached the top the blaster hissed, its cartridge spent. Flipping the gun in its hand, the demon tried to bash the woman with it, each strike more powerful than anything a human could manage. If they hit they would surely cause a lot a pain.

Irwin continued to fall in his mind, he started to focus it trying to figure out what was happening. With that he hit some sort of ground, the impact letting out a loud thud in his mind, but not causing any pain. Standing he held his arm which was hard to feel. He looked around seeing a house in the distance he started limping towards it not knowing what else to do.

As darkness threatened to take her down, Valery finally forced herself to react. She felt hurt that her husband caused her this much pain but- No, this wasn't her husband at all, even if his body and strength in the Force were used to create it. He would never, under any circumstance, willingly harm his own wife.

She knew she was staring at the spirits now, and in an instant, the pressure around her throat faded away when she pushed back against it. "Jenn, handle Irwin!" Valery called out while she raised a hand to free the Mandalorian from the spirit's grasp. Just in time, because Irwin was back up and coming for her to finish what he started.

"My husband is mine." Both in the sense that she'd handle him and, well, he was her partner. Her soulmate, and she wasn't going to let him be taken away by anything or anybody.

With a flick of her hand and a fiery gaze focused on Kahlil, she tried to telekinetically send him flying into the wall, before she rushed after him. "Snap out of it, babe! It's me!" She called out as she raised her fists and came in swinging. She really didn't want to hurt him, but if there was one way to let him know that it was her, it was through a fight.

For her part, Jenn was convinced she was about to die.

Tormented by a spirit, stuck between a Master of the New Jedi Order and an armed combatant, both of them enhanced by possession... her odds were rather poor, indeed. But, just as everything seemed lost and Irwin's advance spelled doom for her, Valery freed her with but a gesture of her hand, giving her a chance, no matter how tenuous, to fight back.

And fight back she would. She was Mando'ade - fighting practically ran in her blood, adopted into the culture as she may be. Even as that blaster kept on firing, she ducked and weaved, throwing her scarf at the assailant at one point to try and confuse it: anything to keep those shots passing her by rather than crashing against her. With her unique physiology, it would be quite the painful, painful end-

But, soon as the weapon let out that hiss, a savage smirk pulled at her lips. Yes, this was exactly what she needed: fighting against a stronger opponent, capable of inflicting immense pain if their hits landed... oh, now that? That was the perfect matchup. The kind that forced her to play to her strength, nimbly side-stepping, twisting her body this way and that: avoiding the clumsy, if powerful strikes was an easier proposition with how little she was wearing. No heavy winter coat, no beskar'gam, and above all, no margin of error.

Death by a thousand cuts was the answer here, letting her claws cut through cloth and flesh through the demon with every nimble movement made: the siren flowed like water before the spirit's strikes.

At least she still had enough control to avoid any vital areas.

Kahlil_Div2.png

There was surprise on Kahlil's face as he was thrown back and away. The demon in control had no access to Kahlil's bond to Valery. Which meant for all the power it had access to, it didn't have Kahlil's greatest strength. And, in turn, would be the demon's greatest weakness. 'Kahlil' pushed himself up, gritted his teeth as Valery came close before swinging a hand up towards her. The Force reacted, throwing out his own return as he tried to throw Valery away.

"Enough! He's mine, now!"

The demon continued to walk towards Jenn. He was still attempting to bash her with the blaster and injure her in some fashion. The woman however responded with claws and Irwin used his blaster arm to defend, it getting gashed and torn apart until a bit of bone was exposed, but the demon didn't seem to even notice.

Irwin tried to grab her arm when she went into a slash and if it was successful would've possibly been strong enough to crush the bone or the nerves and cause immense pain. However her strikes were still damaging the man inside.

Irwin walked towards the house until he was right up next to it and looked at the door. It was a door he had seen before but couldn't remember from where. Suddenly his arm shot with pain, enough to make him collapse to his knees and hold it. The arm was being torn apart layer by layer until it was gnarled and some bone was exposed.

Irwin pushed into the room trying to escape the pain, looking around he found himself in his office back on his ship, while pain seemed to vanish. The wooden door shouldn't have led to this place, the door in the ship is durasteel. Walking inside he noticed something off, every picture had an unnaturally wide grin on it. The door slammed shut behind Irwin and he looked at it in shock, it returning to metal. Turning back he saw someone sitting in the leather office chair, their back to him patiently humming.

"You..." Valery gritted her teeth after her possessed husband had been thrown back. She was approaching him with an intense fire burning in her eyes — a look that could kill. "Give him back," Valery demanded, while she phased through his uppercut and ended up behind him to kick against his knee from the side of his leg, hoping that it'd cripple him. The Force then screamed around her, and his efforts did push her back.

But Valery was relentless now.

"He's my husband," She continued, her voice filled with emotion. The Force that flowed through her was so powerful now, that windows down the entire hallway exploded, allowing cold winds to slip inside. "Give. Him. Back." She raised her hand and reached out to grab his entire body with the Force. The Light from her own heart lashed out at him, hoping to expel whatever was taking hold of him not through cleansing, but by reminding Kahlil who he was fighting.

She wasn't sure if she could remove this spirit, but she knew he could fight back. He had to, because he had promised to never leave her again.

"Haar'chak!" called out the Mandalorian, infuriated by how little she seemed to affect the demon, even as her claws made quite the ruin of its body. Why, her savage strikes revealed his bone, and yet Irwin (or whatever had taken control of him) kept on going, eventually catching wrist as she went to slash those claws against his face in a brutally tight hold. He kept on pressing, and pressing, until-

A sharp cry of pain escaped the Ersansyr's lips as she felt her bone crushed, her vision swimming- until she brought her other hand around to free herself with a swipe of her claws tearing into its wrist, backing off immediately afterwards. With one arm now completely useless and a complete lack of proper response one might expect from human, Jenn realized she would have to kill him... or resort to calling Valery for help. One quick look over her shoulder told her that the latter option was out of the question.

If she kept on going, she would have to aim right for Irwin's throat and tear it out - or he would kill her if he hit her again, that much, she knew. So, instead, she opted to run off into a nearby room, clearly intent on luring him there as she blindly fumbled for... anything to use as a weapon.

All his strength, none of his experience. The demon was easily beaten back as Valery threw her punches and kicks. All they could do was try to throw her away with the utmost strength Kahlil had, but she knew better. Valery was much better of a fighter than this rageful spirit. And when the Light came, there was nothing it could do but screech. The dark spirit was expelled as Kahlil stumbled forward. Let out a breath.

Smirked.

"See? You can kick my ass."

Humor to keep calm. To keep from going crazy with the emotions that had been running through his mind. ".. You good?"

OOC Note: Sorry for taking a while to respond, was busy with IRL stuff.

The demon released the woman upon her claws hitting it, the swipe had torn through its flexing tendons leaving the hand unusable. Even with the demonic strength and resilience there was no muscle connection allowing the hand to close. Its hand released Jenn and watched as she backed away into a room.

The demon held the arm looking at how torn up it was, not able to flex the fingers or wrist any longer. Its eyes looked towards the room its enemy had gone into. A clear ambush, but the demon thought it could just fight her despite the advantage she held. Once in the room the demon fell to its knees letting out a loud scream.

Inside his mind, Irwin stood looking at the chair with the figure as it slowly turned around to face him. The individual had no figure, it seemed like just a shadow sat in the seat. Irwin looked at it and said, "Who are you?"

White, pointed teeth shown as the shadow opened its mouth delivering a toothy grin. It seemed to be snickering as its 'head' bobbed back and forth, but it made no sound.

Irwin took a step closer and it started to scream, the sound was loud enough Irwin fall to his knees (in his mind) and put his hands up to his ears trying to block out the sound, but no matter what he tried the sound didn't get any quieter.

In the outside world, the demon had fallen to its knees and was screaming, a ploy to draw the woman in. If she were to get too close it would try and snag her leg with its good arm. This grab could deliver similar strength as what crushed her arm.

"See? You can kick my ass."

Valery stood frozen and watched him carefully. Was it really him? Or was the demon trying to just trick her? Draw her in, only to then finish her off? For just a moment, she didn't know and for perhaps the first time, Kahlil would see his wife looking at him with fear in her eyes. Fear that he'd hurt her, but most of all, fear that she'd lose him.

".. You good?"

His words pierced through her clouded mind, and the Dyad was so very clear — he was back, and Valery finally let her emotions show again. Her lips trembled and pulled up into a smile, and without wasting another second, she jumped right into him for a very tight, and warm embrace. "It's really you..." she whispered before kissing him on the lips. She didn't care that they weren't in the clear quite yet.

She needed this.

Valery then pulled back and composed herself with a few deeper breaths, "We need to help Jenn. I think she might be in trouble. You good?"

In truth, the escape into a nearby room was really just a means for her to gain time - and to find something to beat the entity without using her claws. In that, she did find something suitable: namely, by grabbing a nearby leg and breaking the leg, armed with a makeshift blunt object. It... wasn't exactly good, but it could be swung one-handed, and if that thing managed to grab it? She would not quite miss wood as much as she would her bones!

But, mercifully, the demon fell down to its knees and began to scream shortly after following her inside. As far as she was concerned, the damn thing could keep on screaming in torment - and so could Irwin, in fact. The chance that this was all just a plot meant to lure her in was frankly too great, and the entire situation felt hopelessly out of her hands. The best thing she could do was to stall, and hope that Valery was competent enough to beat the demon right out of her husband.

This is exactly why I should have joined the Mandokarla.

Kahlil_Div2.png

Kahlil stopped her before she could. Just gave a gentle smile. Emotion of any kind was dangerous for him right now. Later, for certain. But not while even the slightest slip in focus meant him loosing control again. Whatever was here wouldn't need more than once to figure out how best to use him. He wasn't infallible. Instead he stepped past Valery, patted her shoulder on the way, then raised up a hand.

No runes this time. The Light, pure and simple, spilled forth to dispel the shadows around them and burn the demon within Irwin. This was what he needed to focus on right now. No more mistakes, no more faltering.

"Don't let him run until the demon is gone."

Standing back up, the demon realized that the other battle that was happening was lost by its side. Turning to Jenn, it started to walk close in an attempt to at least take one person with it. The change in the tide of war had started to weaken its control as it become more frantic and scared. This caused its swings and hits to be significantly weaker than they were a few minutes ago.

If any were to connect they may hurt, but not be nearly as powerful as the bone breaking strength previously used. There was a look of terror on the Irwin's face as it walked towards Jenn, swinging its mangled arms.

Inside his head the screaming had stopped and Irwin looked at the figure, its once toothy grin turned into an obvious frown. Without eyes of basic features besides the mouth, it was hard to tell what emotion it was experiencing. Though Irwin still kept its distance in case it was an angry face.
