The Great Freight Robbery (Open)

If Cadan had eye brows one would rise at Xandrek, who appear to be speaking to no one. Cadan's first warning was from his Captain who alerted him to the Sith and signaled the retreat, now to Xandrek who was trying to speak over the blasting music, weapons firing and men screaming in pain as they were either shot, stepped on, getting crushed by the doors, or some other form of pain.

Cadan spun out of cover to see a Sith, and cursed to himself, he wanted any and all ships leaving or going to this freighter destroyed. Obviously the pirate in charge didn't get the orders or maybe Flannigan had changed the orders. Cadan looked to the Sith his voice raised louder than the sounds around him, it was also being amplified by his helmet. A line of static burst from his helmet's speakers before he spoke."All Jackal retreat! As for you Sith, we were just leaving."

With a simple hand gesture, the pirates began to retreat to their ships heading back towards the corvettes. Although the pirates tended to find a different path, leading them around the
Sith instead of running right towards him. Cadan however waited for all his crew, to leave.

Jaster pulled his blaster pistol to a group of guards, they seemed very angry about being boarded. Looking at them, even saying they were on the same side wouldn't convince them to not shoot. There was an open container of spice and dust, with the raw components, a small spark could have set it off. Jaster turned to his men, "Lower your weapons," Jaster and his men put their weapons in stand by.

The guards looked at them up and down, "D-Drop your weapons," one of the lead character said, he began to poin the barrel of his weapon to the ground. "Do- Do what I said!" He yelled.

The blaster fire from the hallway father continued to rattle through the corridors of the ship. Even the echo of the Jackals retreat, this was slowly not looking good for Jaster, his escort group needed to arrive now.

"Listen, shoot and we could all go up." Jaster waved his hand around the dust and spice showing the particles mixing. Common knowlage should dictate that people know not to mix spices unless you know how. They didn't seem like they knew a lot as they continued to point their weapons.

Jaster men were getting trigger happy as he could hear his man behind him grip his weapon harder. The other two were hiding behind cover, they refused to get up and such. This was turning into a real Mandalorian stand off.

Tiali zooms across the room Landing to the opposite side of room sliding into some cover. Tiali winces from a newly discovered pain in his lower leg Looking down to inspect A piece of shrapnel lodged into his leg "Oh bugger." Blood begins to streak down his lower leg armor.

After the small inspection, He takes in the pain Knowing the biotic implants will still allow him to move around the same way.

A call for retreat goes through his helmet he wasn't leaving without atleast some of that cargo.

Reaching to his belt he grabs Two thermal detonators and an explosive charge. Tiali connects to his astro droid through his helmet com "R9 ready the ship near my location on the outside, doors wide open. We're gonna catch some"

He activates the explosives setting timers for 1 minute on then he proceeds to throw them on the floor next to the wall Knowing it is powerful enough to blow a hole into the hull of the ship.

At first Joshua was just glad his sister could get through without a scratch. For a moment after he thought somehow they were able to scare off the attackers, they were scrambling and he was able to make out enough to know that they intended to evacuate the ship. However; his brief bit of hope faded when he heard the keyword... Sith. The Sith were not the kind of people you'd casually mess with. If you were a Jedi you might have a reason to put your foot in their door but for someone who's just trying to survive, like Joshua, they were the sort of folk you avoided at all cost.

"Elliot! Get back here, we've got Sith." He didn't hesitate to shout over his comlink. Turning back to his new friend who was busy fighting he tried to intervene by shooting a few blasts towards [member="Ka-Aver"] before rushing behind cover closer to their position.

Looking over to [member="Xandrek Crognus"] , "we've got Sith incoming. I don't think fighting this guy's the best course of action."

Ka-Aver realised the pirates were pulling back. He also figured they would not hesitate to leave him behind. With one hand covering his broken eye and the other holding his shoulder connected he simply turned and ran, dodging bullets to the best of his ability. He aimed to trail behind [member="Thraxis"], hoping he would reach the boarding tube before they punched it.

"Fine, lets go then, follow me" Xandrek murmured to the twins. He charged down the hallway, hoping the others were right behind him, and sprinted into his ship."hurry in!" He shouted and then when/if the twins got in he closed the doors connecting his ship to the freight and floored the ship and immediately set coordinates to go anywhere, anywhere to get them out of here.

Thraxis heard [member="Flannigan Mcnash"]'s message, quickly he got down behind the boxes, pulling out his comlink, "Messaging all Jackals, this business adventure is no longer worth it, its time to make a strategic retreat." he started to move back, firing his blasters down the hall as he moved to the boarding ship that they used to get here.

Watching everyone retreat, Ballen-Ist could not help but frown in mild disapproval. Ignoring the beeping of his wrist-comm, the youth would go on with his business, pretending that his bridge wasn't trying to contact him. It was probably in regards to [member="Flannigan Mcnash"]. Beginning to stride calmly after them, the young Knight would reach out with tendrils of telekinetic energy grasping at the pirate fodder that ran as their leaders made their escape. It was hard to identify the hierarchy among pirates, for they all looked scruffy and bum-like. Screams could be heard down the hallway as the Sith dragged his victims to their dooms, mercilessly slaughtering them with the power of his force abilities. It seemed as if most of the people had gotten away, save for [member="Tiali Orazio"].

The timer on the explosives he had set finally expired, though through the force Ballen-Ist was able to implement a reverse-combustion with his fire manipulation abilities, preventing the bombs from igniting in the first place. Was this guy seriously about to blow a hole in the ship itself? Shaking his head and frowning in disapproval once more, the Knight would simply swing his arm through the air, once more using telekinesis to send a projected fist at the armored man, hoping to slam him violently against the wall he took cover near. After this was dealt with, the Sith would continue to traverse the starship's corridors, heading after the pirates.

Cadan watched from cover as the last of the pirates made it to their corvette. He open up his comm to Flannigan. "Cap'n, ever heard of the saying going down with the ship? Well looks like that's how this is going to happen. Detach and get away, I have a plan."

Cadan saw the explosion drop but not go off? Had something happen? Then Cadan saw the Sith approaching Tiali, even pirates knew two against one were exelent odds! Cadan opened a comm to Tiali. "This Sith can't kill us both." With that said, Cadan would dive to cover and use his Augmented Shooting Tool to fire at the Sith with his Raven Gauss Rifle without having to leave his cover.

The lights swirled and swam across his vizier, the intersecting colours of blaster fire and smatter as gore swims in pools of debri and liquid plasma. Tiali would stand wondering what and how that just happen to find the sith knight in the room slaughtering crew members.

"Oh kark." He said with annoyance, noticing the sith's 'projected punch' Tiali lunges to the side while what used to be cover would fly past him from the hit, smashing against the wall.

Still on his knees, his head shaking from side to side in disorientation, the beads of sweat forming rivulet and ribbons of water on his forehead before falling out of his helmet in a ‘dripping’ sound. He moved and raised his arm to fire his wrist mounted sonic pistol, the sound convulsing in an oval the slight multi coloured hue the only sign that it was coming, it was flung toward the knight, effective against Jedi and Sith because the weapon's sonic bolt bent around the lightsaber, making deflection impossible. Additionally, the sonic energy was able to disrupt a target's equilibrium, causing disorientation.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Cursed!
Sith. Fleeing pirates. A bomb? Closing doors - potential space exposure, few escape routes... Hairy situation.

A few stray shots had pinned Elliot behind the cargo interface but her observing eyes still caught a few glimpses of the action. Action the twins and the helpful stranger would have to escape - hopefully now. Her brother commed her and as the pirates ran the suppressing fire halted. She placed a hand on her ear and sent a message to Joshua. Hopefully he would hear it over the sound of the music. It seemed like the panel had been terminated by the endless bombardment and the cranes and lifts in the room started going wild. Chaos had truly engulfed them.

"Josh, start running - There's only one way we can get out of this and that is by reaching the northern door before it is sealed off or that pesky bomb goes off! Get that fella with the ship with you, it seems like these folks are trying to deal with the sorcerer-intruder!"

As she spoke she dashed as fast as she could through the room, trying to keep an eye on the others present - most of which were fleeing just like her. There are three exists of the cargo hold, one to the 'south' by the Sith, and one to the 'north'. The last one is the ship access to the 'west'. Fortunately, the doors are moving very slowly.

After containing the explosion and preventing it from blasting a hole in the ship, Ballen-Ist was satisfied for the time being. He had come to kill these disgusting Jackals, not himself and everyone else in the craft. Turning to look at [member="Cadan Tazi"] as the Sith felt his presence approaching, the pureblood with lift a gloved hand, clenching it into a fist as he focused more telekinetic energy around the weapon's barrel. Hopping to the side, he would then crush it with ease, the Knight preventing himself from having a hole blasted through his stomach. Even so, his main focus had been on [member="Tiali Orazio"], who was also preparing an attack.

Erecting an expansive force barrier with ease, the young Sith would protect himself from disorientation, the man's sonic waves unable to travel through the force's manifestation. Even so, the weapon was powerful, causing him to skid backwards and slam violently into a wall. This only made the Sith stronger, for he began to feed off the pain and anger that was swelling around him. He was a pureblood Kissai, a caste within his culture that was incredibly efficient with the dark side and force overall. If these pirates thought it would be cake walk taking him down, they were dead wrong. With a smirk upon his face, Ballen-Ist would slowly draw his force imbued sword, it's metallic length shining brightly as electricity danced upon it.

Joshua ran as fast as he can, his sisters words were only added courage as he trailed behind their mysterious ally. If there was an escape route he would take it and be sure that his sister would make it too but lucky for her she was already at an advantage due to earlier events.

His path came to a quick halt as they reached their destination, he jumped aboard the ship just behind its owner and hopefully alongside his sister. What came next was unknown but he had hopes they would be able to make it out of the system safely and away towards the unknown. Until then he needed to make sure that there were no more threats, with the Sith involved it looked as if there were going to be bigger problems than they've already faced but hopefully the Sith will be more concerned with the pirates than hired guards.

Cadan's gun's barrel was crushed by the Sith's force power. Cadan threw the weapon around his shoulder, the leather band preventing it from flying over his shoulders. Cadan quickly drew his pistol, dubbed "Sunshine". A thought struck his mind and he quickly opened up a comm to Tiali. "Hope your little droid is waiting for us."

With this said, Cadan would aim his pistol at the charges. With pressure applied to the trigger, the pistol would spit forth a barrage of plasma that smacked into the chargers causing them to detonate. The force of the explosion caused a hole to appear in the side of the ship.

Everything else happened in a matter of seconds. Cadan was ripped from his position as the vacuum of space pulled him out of the ship and into the vast darkness, lucky for him his armor could protect him for a matter of time from the pressure. As Cadan was sucked out he would magnetize his boots, allowing him to connect to the outside of the ship. He stood there now, watching the chaos follow as dead or wounded bodies flew through the hole in the ship. If the cargo that drew everyone here wasn't sealed off, even it would begin to go towards the open hole.

Having had a headstart, Elliot waited for the others as soon as she had crossed the closing door. She looked back but it did not seem like anyone else was coming for their escape route, so that was good. Why had the bomb not gone off? The two others barely jumped through the door before it closed -

But before it could close, just mere seconds before the gate slammed shut, a bright explosion appeared. First born from [member="Cadan Tazi"] 's gun, then the detonative charges and lastly the cargo holds system itself. The light was almost blinding, the sound loud for only a moment before going silent. The door closed and sound returned in the corridor, it was near impossible to breathe but the ship quickly restabilised and the trio could once more draw breath. The stranger led the way and they headed for his ship. What happened to the others remained unknown to them, for now...

"CRAPZ CRAPZ CRAPZ!!!" Ka Aver roared, his body spewed out fear pheromones as he held onto the airlock with all his strength. He had no idea what just happened and he had no idea where the others were. A helmet rushed past him and hit his already soar shoulder. He let go and was sucked past an entite corridor. A shelf tumbled past and knocked him to the side. Something hit his head and he saw a hatchet. He pressed the red button and it closed.

seconds later the pod ejected.

"Crapz..." he mumbled and watched the freighter getting smaller as the escape pod hurled him deeper into the pitch black space...

Bounding across the room in a few strides, the young Sith would begin to flick his sword through the air, having skidded to a halt right in front of the explosions. His blade would do well in deflecting the bolts of energy, having them harmlessly impact with the ground instead of the explosives. Of course, the Knight did not plan on sticking around, and so he would move once more with force enhanced speed, his body becoming akin to a blur of darkness as he darted across the metallic surface. Heading down the hallway he had come from, Ballen-Ist would easily pass [member="Cadan Tazi"] and [member="Tiali Orazio"], beginning to make his way down the corridor. Seeing that the Duros was set on detonating the charges, they most likely would still explode, but the assassin in training was long gone by then.

Arriving at one of the many airlocks, the Sith would make his way across the boarding tunnel, his Imperial shuttle having deployed it moments earlier. Looking out through the transparent material, a slight smirk would appear on the young man's face as he watched the others escape. His work was done here, for he had fooled around enough. The craft would take off once Ballen stepped in, returning to the massive star destroyer that it had originated from. The ominous shadow that hung over the other ships would disappear as it entered hyperspace, deciding to spar their lives.

Now that they were safely out of action and away from probable death, Joshua sighed with relief.

The stranger who had helped them escape of course had a right to ask that question... "My story?" He thought to himself, his eyes looked over at his sister. The two of them have been all over the galaxy taking on odd jobs, guarding valuable cargo, and even smuggling illegal goods. Their motto is if the job pays then it's a good job but lately things have been 'too good to be true' for them. The fact they were just attacked proves it. 2,000 credits was not worth that risk.

After only a few seconds had passed in deep thought he turned his head back to the stranger. "Freelancers," he spoke up, "we're a couple of freelancers." That is what they were in the strictest sense of the word. They did not pledge their loyalty to any government nor did they dedicate their lives to a single career. Perhaps if things were different they might've done just that... Hold down a normal job, make a meager living, and have a comfortable home somewhere on a backwater world. Nothing that was worth thinking about, though, they couldn't go and change the past.

Joshua looked around the ship, "so you're some kind of spacer?" He asked.
