The Duchess smiled as she stood quietly on the balcony of the large estate, her golden-yellow hues peering down the long drive up to the front. Slender fingers danced across the railing as she smiled, her deep purple gown buffeting in the slight wind. Tonight was to be a night of entertainment and celebration, a follow up for the coronation that was held not that long ago which saw her standing where she stood now and being crowned Duchess. A small smirk crossed her lips as she let out a soft sigh before looking down the long walk once more.
"It's time."
She spoke before turning back towards the large manor house, stepping into her private chambers. Sitting in front of the large mirror, she ran a hand through her fiery red hair before looking over. Smiling as she saw the large nexu laying next to her. Her eyes ran over it and its small litter of cubs that lay sleeping on their mother. The Duchess understood though that soon they would need to start training the cubs, and keep their mother from devouring them when they got older. She was hoping though that a few of them would be able to stay together. Of course she could always give the cubs as gifts, and she already had one name at the top of the list that she thought of.
Such a gift though could potentially bring ire to her old friend, though she felt confident that she could handle her rage. Smiling, she finished getting ready before standing, stretching slightly and musing at the fact that she was about to play host to people from across the galaxy and more than a few of them could potentially be allies or enemies, depending on how the night went.
Pulling open the large double doors of her private chambers, she smirked when she heard the music that was filling her home. She hated that Jizz kark that they played in cantinas, no she was more refined and had brought in a string orchestra quartet for that evenings entertainment. Moving through the halls, she nodded her head to the Fenrir Guardsmen that were stationed throughout the large manor, an added measure of security should one of her guests become too uppity and decide to cause violence, which she hoped that they had enough sense not to do so in their hostess' home.
Standing at the top of the large parlor, she remained in the shadows, as was normal for her. Hands on the railing as golden-yellow hues peered down. She was watching and waiting, wanting to see her guests before she appeared. Though she knew that more than a few would know that she was watching from above.
When the guest began to arrive, their names and titles of importance would be read out aloud upon their stepping over the threshold of the manor. Allowing those in attendance to know whom they were mingling with that night.
