Sakadi held her breath as the repulsors of her speeder lost their contact with the ground. The heavy winds tugged at her vehicle, yanking the nose from left to right. She could barely keep it stead as they dove toward the other side of the massive chasm. The speeder made it, briefly skidding over the frozen terrain as the repulsors worked to push the vehicle up again. Only after she regained control over the speeder again, did she breathe out.

Trusting Taliya to take care of the communications, Sakadi maneuvered the speeder in front of the two others. They were closing in on their destination and while Mathieu's speeder was damaged, she had grown confident that it would work out. The Force had been with them so far, and her prescience told her of no immediate dangers in the future.

Maneuvering the speeder toward a great depression in the terrain caused the marks on her holomap to light up. They were in the vicinity of the Barsen'thor's final resting place. All that was needed now, was to go down into the ice.

Sakadi scoured their surroundings for an opening in the ice. One less dramatic than the chasm they had found, but big enough to pass through. When she found one, she immediately steered her speeder in its direction, slowing down as they entered.

"From here on out, we'll have to proceed on foot." She relayed to the others, aware of how arduous this journey might be.

"I'm alright" Mathieu's calm voice could be heard over the comms as he replied to Yenna. He was grateful that she had noticed the damages his speeder took and bothered to ask him about it. At this time, however, there was no need for concern. The vehicle functioned adequately and did not appear to be at risk of breaking down anytime soon.

The trio of speeders would continue to speed on ahead for some time. While it was not immediately obvious, it did appear as if the terrain started to become somewhat less treacherous the further they got. Travelling behind the others, Mathieu made sure not to fall too far behind - while it was possible for him to split off from them to look for a suitable landing location himself, the risk far outweighed the potential rewards.

Eventually, Master Sakadi seemed to have found something. Her speed slowed noticeably and soon, she brought her vehicle down into a sheltered area. Mathieu looked around upon arriving - the harsh winds of outside did not appear to make their way into there. Telling the difference between different degrees of 'cold' was always challenging but it was abundantly clear that it was still extremely cold. After having parked and disembarked from his speeder, Mathieu performed an impressive display of strength and carried his own vehicle right next to that of Sakadi and Taliya. If nothing else, the proximity would prevent the vehicles from cooling down too fast.

Mathieu looked up from the two speeders "Seems to me like we might be on a timer." With that, he removed his outer robes from his backpack. It was fortunate that they were both large to fit him comfortably as well as designed to shield against the elements. With one elegant move, he placed them on top of the speeders, further working to protect them for a little while longer.

Continuing to scream for her dear life, Taliya felt them land as she had closed her eyes the entire time they blasted through the air. Breathing more rapidly, it almost felt like her heart was in her throat beating like never before. Luckily the rest of the group seemed to have been able to follow them despite the weather and terrain because Taliya had utterly forgotten to keep tabs on the others as she had been busy being terrified. Climbing out of her cart, happy to be on foot again, the young girl silently decided she was not a fan of speeders and their speed.

Still feeling the biting cold, despite the warm cloth on her frame, Taliya checked her equipment, especially her Master's blade. Luckily everything was still there.
"Bloody finally, thought you would never stop screaming girl" commented a voice annoyingly to the right of Taliya as her Sith Spirit appeared in his incorporeal shadow form only for the eyes of the girl to see. "As much as I hate the Sith and even more to agree with him, you need to calm your emotions padawan when danger finds you" lectured the Jedi spirit. "Oh no, not you two," sighed Taliya both not feeling having to deal with her two resident force spirits in her mind and not realising people might have heard her speak to someone who wasn't present.

With her attention directed away from Mathieu and her Master, Sakadi, it looked like the young girl was whispering to herself before stopping and turning around with a sheepish smile. She had kept her condition to herself so far with the exception of her Master, so she often caught herself talking with her two bound ghosts in her mind.

Hugging her stomach in an attempt to keep on her warmth, Taliya looked from Mathieu to Sakadi and then looked in the direction hopefully her friend El and his master would arrive. She really didn't want to stay out in the cold for more than necessary.

The rest of the ride was luckily free of any other surprises for the group. Aside from the bump, Mathieu's speeder still seemed solid and Sakadi luckily went unscathed. Yenna breathed a sigh of relief as the terrain and westher seemed to ease up around them.

Slowing the speeder, she stuck close to Sakadi and came to a halt next to her, looking at El with a grin. "Fun, that was." She quipped as she pulled out her flask and took a long sip. "Better, it might be, to let it idle..." She muttered as she looked at the systems on the speeder. Mathieu was trying to keep his warm as well, but the danger was still there. Not to mention the fuel levels. After a few moments of contemplating, she shut off the speeder and made sure her suit was closed up properly before she opened the cockpit of the speeder.

What she wasn't expecting was being flung out and into the snow by a harsh gust blowing through the cockpit.

The little green Jedi jumped up and onto her speeder with wide eyes as she waited for the rest. "In there, are we going?" She asked telepathically as she hopped from her speeder to Sakadi's, studying the terrain. Sje checked her lightsaber and other effects before she hopped off and started to march forward. "Go then, let us! A lovely stroll, we can all use." She joked with a snicker.

Eleven held onto his hat tightly as his Master began to pick up the pace "OHHHHHHH MYYYYYY--" he was cut off from finishing his sentence when he felt his body jerk as the swoop zoomed across the chasm. His heart raced and he felt hot, despite the cold.

Eleven's body jerked again as the swoop, and his side car, collided with the icy ground. The boy's eyes were squeezed shut until he felt still, realising they were no longer moving he carefully opened his eyes. Warm air left his mouth in the form of a sigh of relief, Eleven rubbed his chest area as he tried to slow the adrenaline down that was currently pumping through his veins. Eleven's head whipped in the direction of his Master when she ordered him to check on Mathieu.

"G-give me a second, I-I can't feel my legs right now..." after a few moments, he moved to get his communicator only to be stopped by Mathieu with the confirmation that he was fine.

The group finally came to a halt, curious as to why they were stopping Sakadi projected into his, and he assumed the others, that they would need to go the rest of the way on foot. The Padawan inhaled deeply before relasing all in one go, the idea of walking around in this cold did not seem enjoyable. At all. Eleven glanced at Yenna as she flashed him a grin, quipping about how 'fun' the ride was. Sheepishly, he nodded in half-agreement - it was pretty great, until they flew over the chasm.

"How will we get back?" Eleven asked as he stepped out of the side car. Looking back at the swoop as he moved further away from it, he was surrounded by an aura of worry as he thought about the swoops' engines freezing while they were gone.

The Padawan hugged himself as he tried to retain the warmth that was quickly fading away. Approaching Taliya, he greeted her with a friendly nod and smile "Are you doing okay?" Eleven asked through chattering teeth, recollecting the day's earlier events when she had passed out from overexerting herself.
