TWENTY YEARS IN THE FUTURE
The Galaxy was in Chaos. Maybe it was as some of the great Jedi had predicted. With Force users like Kay going about and doing whatever they wanted, even if they had good intentions, the Sith still grew large enough to take over. Everywhere there was death and destruction. Some planets were no longer there, having been blown up by one super weapon after another.
Little pockets of resistance still remained, but they were few and far between. Commlink channels were constantly monitored as was everything sent and received via the holonet, so the resistance fighters had barely any way to communicate. They had to be creative.
Kay had barely survived. Many of her friends were who knows where, and some of them had died during the struggle. The suppression of the Darkside was felt everywhere. If it weren't for her ability to hide her Force signature, she'd of been captured and forced to turn or die.
She went back to her old habits of never using the same ships or transports, never going in a straight line and avoiding the more populated areas. Darkness was everywhere and the light was but a flicker.
Kay sat on board a transport on her way to one of her old haunts with Vax. The last she had heard, the White Palace was still empty, however that information was old. It would be a good place to lay low for a while. She knew it well. Still it was in enemy territory, but there was hardly a place in the Galaxy where it wasn't dangerous.
She looked over to Vax as the transport entered the atmosphere. "Almost there...."
