The Evolution Continues

"The fall of the Dominion was not caused by their lack of protocols, but from within. Suffering defeat after defeat was demoralizing to the people. On the planets, there were protocols that were followed, it was at my home where I was left alone. May I have a list of my employees?"

Of course, she didn't expect him to offer it on the spot, but when he got back to his fleet.

"As I learned of a private way to contact you at your request from our first meeting, I now have the same request of you."

Walking over to her desk, she picked up a datapad and handed it to him. On the pad it had the numbers of her facilities as well as her connections numbers. If he chose to keep those contacts on his list that was fine. The information they fed him would be approved by her first.

He gave her a week to get a budget draft and she already had an idea of how she was going to go about doing it. Numbers were never her strong point, but this wouldn't be an issue. At the mention of holocrons, she looked at him almost curiously.

"Please, give me that information along with my staff listing."

Wolfe reached out with a hand. One of the Wolfguards silently stepped forward and deposited something in it. A datapad. He seemed to go through some of the information on it, before handing it to the woman. "A list of the personnel within Precision and Contingency, as you requested. As well as procedures to contact me," he said. He had come prepared, it seemed.

The datapad contained a detailed list of the personnel and current resources of the Shrouded Republic's intelligence division, as well as a series of instructions for conveying classified information to its head of state. A number of secure channels were included, along with the required authentication methods and encryption protocols, which were extremely complex. Failing that, there was a number of dead-drop locations which was provided, along with more instructions on how to properly encode a holodisk, so that it could be authenticated. The locations were all over the galaxy, a testament for how extensive Wolfe's network already was, despite the Shrouded Republic's limited resources. This was the handiwork of a very intelligent man, one with a capacity for complex, long-term planning.

The topic of the holocrons was more complicated. Sensing her interest, he decided to give her some information. "Tell me. Have you ever heard of the Drowned Archives on Katarr? If your answer is yes, then you know that getting in will not be easy. We already have the beginning of a plan, though. Its secrets and treasures, shall be ours before long," he said to her.
