IC Heirarchy: The Reformation runs in a somewhat feudal fashion. Territories ranging from a single planet to multiple worlds are put under one Lord or Lady. That Lord or Lady is under the jurisdiction of a High Lord, who controls entire systems. These leaders meet up in the Grand Council, a meeting between leaders of Ession's Jedi Knights and those with planetary power to decide the direction the Reformation should take. At the head of the Grand Council is the Archlord; voted in to provide leadership and a public face for the Ession Reformation as a whole.

Requested Planets: Ession as the capital, Mirial, Cadomai.

Description: The Reformation is a gathering of soldiers, politicians, Jedi, and others looking to restore a sense of order to the Outer Rim, and eventually the galaxy at large. Dropping capitalism and traditional democracy in favor of a feudal system, the Reformation bases its laws on morality rather than practicality.

The galaxy has proven itself incapable of being led by such ineffective means. Credits hold far too much sway over the way that people live their lives. The rise of criminal organizations and the recent onslaught of the Sith is seen as a direct result of corrupt government.

Those within the Reformation fight for the destruction of Sith holdings, organized crime, and what is seen as corrupt government in their eyes. Its Jedi hope to return to a way of life akin to that of Jedi in earlier ages, with a more rigid code, and an acceptance of their role as warriors as well as Peacekeepers.

The Pitch: Ession provides a place for NFUs and Jedi alike who want to serve a group akin to the Army of Light. It has been designed to create a faction base capable of creating gritty storylines revolving around subjects such as ethics and morality in a deeply patriotic environment.

We hoped to create a faction that could further establish a sense of order in the Outer Rim given the rise to power of chaotic factions such as the Red Ravens. On an OOC note, the creators of Ession were looking to build an environment for Jedi closer to the way of Old Republic Jedi could be RPed freely, where faction transparency was a must for all faction decisions, and to provide soldiers a way that did not want to join the Republic another route to take in the fight against the big bads of the galaxy.

We have already run a number of plot threads with numerous factions ranging from minor to major. It would make no sense for the Reformation, which is currently hungry to bring worlds under its banner for resources, to stick to a small area ICly. Becoming a major faction is the only way we can really hope to further our faction storyline and have it make sense.

Times have changed. The Jedi belittled and ostracized me for being merciful and pacifistic... And our old ways have only led to the Jedi being purged and the Sith taking over. Our old ways, our old code... Is dead. I know what I have to do now, and that's go to war.

I stand with the Ession Reformation.
