Overview

Since the inception of the Mandalorian culture, those who follow the Resol’nare have become the most feared and most hated. As much as the Jedi are criticized for their dogma or the Sith for their lust of power, there has never been a true ally of the Mandalorians outside themselves. And now, more than ever, when Mandalore has fallen and our people have been scattered, the Mando’ade need a place where they can rest from persecution and rebuild.

The Enclave acknowledges and respects the symbolic meaning that the homeworld of the Mandalorians carries. It is on Mandalore that Beskar, the life-iron of the Mando’ade was discovered, and it was for Mandalore that millions of warriors fought and gave their lives to protect and defend.

Yet the Enclave recognizes one plain and unavoidable fact:

The constant war over control of Mandalore is slowly killing the Mandalorian people. The Sith genocide is only the most recent example, for there are too many to name. The new era of Mandalorians will not be found in futile crusades that clash against the galaxy time and time again like waves dashing against seaside cliffs.

The future of the Mandalorian people must no longer be tied to Mandalore. And the Enclave is willing to evolve along those lines, in order to perpetuate the Mando’ade even if just a little longer. The Enclave will be what Mandalore was and ultimately can not be: home.

What the Enclave has to Offer | OOC

The Enclave is a Mandalorian faction that takes heavy inspiration from the Tribe from the Mandalorian TV Show and various iterations of Mandalorian Bounty Hunters and Mercenaries in articles of Lore. Along that vein of inspiration, if one were to place the Enclave on the ‘chill-crusade spectrum,’ then Enclave would squarely fit into the chill side of a typical Mandalorian faction.

The Enclave is meant to cater to those who write characters that lean to lone-wolf, mercenary and/or bounty hunter archetypes of Mandalorians rather than being a part of a more militaristic faction. It is also a subfaction of the CIS, and one of the optional occupations that the Enclave offers, the Karjr, serve as deputized Confederacy law enforcement in return for payment from the Enclave in terms of the currency that can be redeemable for gear.

Another thing that the Enclave offers are concise narratives, grouped into ‘Seasons.’ Each season has an arc concentrated around a narrative that is explored through a progression of threads. Each season will usually also accompany changes to the Enclave or additions to its identity and story. The Enclave also offers territory on Daba'r, the continent of Roon on which both the Enclave resides and Mandalore the First rallied the Clans together, to any clan who wishes to settle down and build.

In addition to that, the Enclave features something rare on Chaos; a functional (albeit closed) economy. Participation in threads is compensated with an in-house currency that can then be redeemed for gear, weapons, and ships at the Forge. Important threads such as seasonal threads also give you the chance to earn Exotic gear, unique items that have special, game-changing perks. Although the Factory does not exactly factor into roleplay, it’s still some cool bling you can show off and feel proud of earning.

Occupational Paths

Path of the Marshal | The Karjr
  • Working as Marshals of the Underworld, the Karjr serve as law-enforcement deputies. Much akin to Bounty Hunters or patrolmen in lawless sectors, the Karjr take down targets where their iron and warrior’s instincts serve them best. Their services are compensated for through payment from the Enclave.

Path of the Protector | The Si’kahya
  • Wardens of the Enclave, the Si’kahya put the last safe haven of their culture above all else. The Si’kahya are the closest thing that the Enclave has to a military, but they are far from a rank-and-file infantry. Rather, the Si’kahya serve as highly-trained protectors of the Enclave able to defend it from any threat.

Path of the Smith | The Order of the Forgemasters
  • A near-extinct art of beskarsmithing is being revitalized by a new generation of eager adepts. Join their ranks and learn the secret and ancient ways of how to manipulate crude ore into the strongest armor in the galaxy and make awe-inspiring and terrifying weapons.

Character Backgrounds & Pathways

The Survivor
  • Very few survived the razing of Mandalore, and even fewer escaped from the genocide of the Mandalorian people carried out by the Sith. Yet somehow you did -- and now broken, having watched all the ones you love die in front of your eyes, the hope and future that the Enclave offers seem slim at best. But it’s the best option you have.

The Hunter
  • Crusades and wars are good and all, but at the end of the day they won’t pay for starfuel or power cells. You’re in this just to get paid, even if it’s only just enough to keep your ship running.

The Sheriff
  • You’ve embraced your new responsibility as Karjr, and staked out your own territory. Wherever you reside, you’re the law -- and you dole out justice to those deserving of it accordingly. And any outlaw better pray they don’t find yourself on the wrong end of your blaster barrel.

The Gunslinger
  • There is only one truth you know -- the cold iron on your hip and in your heart. There is nothing more important or valuable to you than the thrill of a gunfight, of testing your skills in combat against the adversary, so you seek to improve yourself through a succession of progressively more difficult and infamous opponents. And if you get paid a little along the way? Then it’s a nice bonus.

The Protector
  • When Mandalore fell, despite all of your efforts it was not enough to save it. But there are still Mandalorians -- and maybe you can lend your blaster and armor towards protecting your people. A worthy cause, for a worthy warrior.

The Wanderer
  • Clan loyalties, Crusades, Civil Wars, they’re all the same to you -- a bunch of big-heads squabbling over politics. Instead of tying your life and weapon to their cause, you’ve preferred to drift about, doing what you can to get by; a simple Mandalorian making their way through a complicated galaxy.
