Private The Emerald Shattering

Deep in the nether a single girl walked by herself, or to be more precise, a Nightsister with a single goal in mind. This Nightsister was called Nezira and held a talisman in her hand, which had its leather robe wrapped around her waist. As time wasn't really a thing in the nether, Nezira didn't know how long she had walked through the underworld. However, one thing she was certain of, her stomach simulational hurt with anticipation, but also nervous for when she met him again.

Nezira looked around her surroundings, still getting used to the netherworld and the fact that it opens up everything to her in the galaxy. She could go anywhere and show up anywhere else in the world. The only thing that was unsure, was where exactly she would show up at the planet, as she headed towards the light of the force. Double-checking her talisman for going the correct way, by also closing her eyes and feeling the pull of the light side.

There were so many things she wanted to say to the Jedi, but how? That was the real kicker... she knew she had felt ever curious about the Jedi and who he was after their last meeting. She also hated these god damn feelings he had kickstarted in her and she wanted to tear out his heart for making her so annoyingly confused. Every so often she has caught herself daydreaming about the Jedi. Her feelings have been a mess and she wanted to understand them or rid her of them as they were taking over her mind and every so often, Nezira would look at the night sky and that stupid Jedi's face popped into her mind.

She stopped arguing with herself, cause he had almost walked off the path and redirected herself back to the path before her. Nezira wished she could have taken Vex with her, as she always made the Nightsister relax better. The closer to the pull of the light Nezira got, the more her nervosity took over and the thoughts of actually being denied closure to her annoyingly confused state of mind and feelings wasn't something Nezira knew how she would handle. And another thing, why was the palm of her hands getting sweaty?! She has always had cool hands and dried the moistness in her palms off.

Upon arriving by the light, Nezira was sure that her talisman of finding had the right area. She reached out with her hand and a rift started to open up, forming a portal matching her magick's colours. While the Nether had a feeling of cold, death and unnatural emptiness. The area she landed in felt warm, dry and dark, wait why was it so dark in here? While the portal's light, the brief time it was up, gave Nezira a short view of the area she was in. It was a big room, and why did it smell so weird? it was a sweet smell that came behind her. Turning around, she bumped her leg into the toilet. "Ouch" hissed Nezira, rubbing her shin a bit, before flaring up her Magick just enough to have the ichor around her hand. Upon lighting up the room, she saw a weird shaped thing with a hole that had water in it. Kneeling down, sniffing a bit, the overly sweet smell definitely came from there, causing her to get up again.

Looking around again, her luminous green eyes fell on something tall with glass walls and a... metal rope? Reaching out to touch the showerhead pipe it felt weird as nezira started to bend and shape the metal pipe. She then remembered why she actually was here and started to look for a way out and smiled when she saw a door. Opening the door it was just as dark as in the other room. Luckily her flared magick around her hand, gave everything a green hue around her. Looking around she started to scan the insanely large and wide room, "Cas?" Nezira asked nervously, listening for an answer while she went deeper into the large open room. Maybe this wasn't the place? Couldn't be, her talisman wouldn't lead her the wrong way.

Managing to sneak some time in with Tess between assignments, Cas was currently finishing up a 'round' with his sweetheart and about to get out of bed to grab the two some water from the kitchen. Getting out of bed, the Jedi Knight put on some drawers while the rest of his lean frame remained exposed, Cas approached the bedroom door before turning to Tess with a smirk "I'mma need more than a glass of water with the work you're making me do." he informed her, chuckling.

However, his smile quickly faded when he sensed something else in the apartment with them - his change in demeanour would be completely noticeable to the spy as he summoned his lightsaber to him with the Force. The presence he sensed in the apartment was that of the Dark side, but strangely enough... it was familiar to him. But how? Shaking off these thoughts, he said nothing to Tess as he ignited the lightsaber's amber blade and quietly exited the bedroom.

Using his lightsaber to guide him through the dark apartment, Cas made his way into the living room where he would see a familiar green hue in the living room with a figure near it. Squinting to see what it was, he realised it was Nightsister magick but what the hell was a Nightsister doing here? Using his free arm Cas quickly switched on the living room light before entering an Ataru stance.

His stance quickly faltered and his eyes widened in utter shock when he realised who was standing in their living room "What the--? Nezira?!" he called out in surprise as he deactivated his lightsaber. The Jedi Knight hadn't seen the young Nightsister since he was a Padawan, he was totally unsure if he ever would or let alone her remember who he even was. Her being in the apartment was something he couldn't have seen coming.

They managed to get another week together. Tess welcomed it. With everything going on, she really wanted to get away and thankfully Cas' timing was on point. The pale woman let go of Cas and watched with an amused smirk as he got up. "All the work I'm making you do?" she quipped, raising an eyebrow. "I'll have whatever you're having. Thank you butler." she teased, adjusting the sheets to make herself comfortable.

Though the mood quickly shifted when Cas' expression changed. Then she heard the noises in the apartment. Immediately she hopped out of bed and grabbed his t-shirt, yanking it on and grabbing her blaster. With both hands on the grip she was by his side, her pale eyes darting around as she listened for the intruder. He was about to realize he broke into the wrong home. She was dead quiet, silently placing her feet on the ground as she stuck close to him. Once they reached the living room, Tess took aim at the figure...only to be surprised by the sight. "Nezi-" she started, realizing what Cas just said. Her eyes darted between him and her, her brain almost shorting out at the questions forming in her mind. "Hold up...you know her?" she asked him before looking to Nezira. "And what the hell are you doing here? How did you even get in here?" she asked her, flicking the light switch as she rested her pistol against her shoulder.

This was a rather awkward situation. Not only were they both half naked but they both knew Nezira. Once this was over with, she was going to have to ask Cas some questions...like how the kark he recognized her.

Nezira was about call for Cas again, when she heard the sound of a familiar igniting sound from a very familiar weapon. As the door to the Nightsister's right, open, Nezira turned and saw the glowing blade, though another colour. However, she saw Cas in the glow of his blade and a small smile formed. The pale woman then saw another woman beside Cas... wait what?

When the light was turned on, Nezira looked at two half-naked people in front of her. The Nightsister remembered the woman, the one that talked about friendship... true friends. Tess.

Seeing another woman with Cas felt as if someone had impaled Nezira's heart, and the Nightsister suddenly felt stupid for finding the Jedi. "I... I came to see you" explained Nezira in a low voice, close to whisper. She should never have come here as she felt tears on the edge of forming, why was she sad?! She felt like shattering into a thousand pieces and she hated feeling those feelings. It was just a stupid idea anyway, as he had clearly forgotten her and their first meeting.

Seeing both half-naked and Tess standing beside Cas, made the Nightsister wanting to scream or cry. Actually she wanted to do both. Taking a step back and away from Cas and Tess. She needed to get out of her, she needed to breathe and watching Tess with Cas started to make her jealous, which then made her angry for feeling that.

Everything was just in turmoil for her and she needed to get away from here. Without thinking, she bamfed out of the flat and reappeared in the hallway. However, it wasn't exactly a smooth landing, as she didn't know where she would land and accidentally bumped into the flat's door on the other side. Unsure and not caring, Nezira started to head down the stairs and found herself outside on the streets in the middle of the night. Nezira looked back, unable to fight back tears and just started to walk, not knowing she was crossing roads.

Cas did a double-take when Tess called out half of Nezira's name, staring at her puzzled, he quickly responded to her question "Wait, you know her?" so, apparently the situation had just got even more awkward and this... was definitely a conversation he and Tess needed to have once... whatever this was, was over.

The Jedi Knight returned his attention to the Nightsister, his expression was still that of confusion until she explained why she came. His face fell into a sympathetic frown after that - "Nezira, I don't under--" he stopped himself, he may have had an idea why she did although he hoped it wasn't true... for her sake. He could feel her sorrow through the Force, so much so that it affected him slightly as a tight feeling formed in his stomach. Cas raised his arm to reach out to her, but she disappeared in a burst of green smoke.

Sensing her presence close by still as well as hearing a thud on the front door, Cas rushed toward it, opening the door at the wall panel to find Nezira in the hallway. The Jedi quickly rushed back into the bedroom to put a shirt and some pants on before leaving again - as he did so, he called out to Tess "We gotta find her!" as his compassion completely overwhelmed any and all thoughts and feelings going through his body right now. The guilt of breaking her innocent heart gnawed at him and he couldn't just leave things unsaid like that.

Focusing solely on her signature in the Force, he sprinted out of the complex and into the Lothal streets to find her. He hoped Tess was behind him.

This was all one big mess. She swore she could feel her implants getting toasty at her attempt to figure out what was going on. But then she heard Nezira's answer as to what she was doing here. She blinked in surprise, feeling a stirring of something. Jealousy? No, she was above such a petty emotion. She was just ticked off by the fact that another woman, someone she actually knew and tried to warm up to, was here to see her boyfriend.

But before they could react at all, Nezira simply disappeared again. She blinked in surprise but glanced at the door when she heard something slam against it. While Cas inspected it, she ran back to the bedroom to grab his shirt and her pants. On the way back she smacked his shirt against his chest and sprinted out, yanking her pants on along the way. Outside they both were looking for Nezira. Tess pointed out at the streets. "There she is!" she pointed out before hurling herself over the railing. Descending a few levels, she grabbed onto a ledge and used some impressive parkour skills to go down the apartment complex much quicker than an average person. Once she was close to the ground she let go and landed in a roll, propelling herself up onto her feet to pursue Nezira once more.

The streets were quiet at least, but Tess didn't want to take any chances. She was running with inhuman speed, not breaking a sweat, as she tried to catch up with Nezira. Unless Cas reached her first, she would tackle Nezira out of the road and onto the pavement, placing herself between Nezira and the hard duracrete. It was a really hard fall and in the back of her mind she figured that Nezira deserved that bit of pain, but she couldn't let her get hurt. Back on Dathomir she genuinely tried to help the girl and simply leaving her like that felt off. Though she would likely get her thoughts in order in the next few minutes...

Walking in a fast pace, Nezira for the first time actually felt her heartbroken. It was a horrible new feeling and she hated every single bit and wished she had never gotten the idea to see Cas again. Who is she kidding, his loveable stupid face had been on her thoughts for the last couple of days and was driving her crazy.

Nezira didn't even know where she was heading, she was just walking... walking to nothingness. The darken cloudy sky started to rumble, threaten to release rain upon Lothal city. It was really bad, Nezira felt Tess would go for her and she could have easily teleported away, but right now she just didn't feel like it.

Feeling Tess' arms wrapped around her, Nezira ended laying on top of the white-haired woman. That was when she snapped back and anger filled her eyes as her eyes landed on Cas. Disappeared out of Tess' hands, leaving a green ichor smoke clouds where Nezira had been. Reappearing again a few feet from where Tess laid, she stared daggers at Tess and Cas. "Leave me alone!" hissed Nezira, clearly with deep hurt in her voice as electricity started to crackle just a bit between her fingertips. The electricity was a clear sign of her emotion taking her train of thoughts. Normally the Nightsister was very reserved and wouldn't lash out like that, but her broken heart seeing Tess with Cas made her act irrational.

Tess had a much better idea than him - before rushing out of the door, he saw her take the dangerous, but way faster, route to Nezira. Outside, barefoot, he saw Tess a few feet ahead of him and continued on right behind her, using the Force to enhance his speed. He skidded to a halt when his girlfriend managed to leap and tackle the Nightsister out of the street like an action hero.

Stretching his arm out, he used the Force to guide their fall slightly in hopes of lessening the impact of their fall. The Jedi Knight rushed over to them, bare feet slapping against the duracrete as he did so, although Nezira quickly disappeared out of Tess' grip. Stopping in front of Tess, he knelt down and helped her up with his exposed mechanical hand before turning to face the angered Nightsister.

The turmoil within her was strong, so strong he didn't have to probe her emotions to see. She asked them to leave her alone earning her a puzzled expression "Leave you--? Nezira, you came into our apartment and then just... disappeared!" he argued, arms slightly stretched out in confusion "Can't we at least talk about this? Talking's good. Talking helps." he suggested in attempts to defuse the situation. Cas subtly moved his lips, positioning them in Tess' direction as his face stayed forward - he would quietly whisper "Back me up here?"

Tess managed to get Nezira off the streets and Cas helped to soften the fall quite a bit. She was going to have to thank him for that later. What she didn't expect for even a moment was for Nezira to bamf out of her grip and then snap at them. Getting back on her feet with Cas' help, Tess glared at the Nightsister as she threw her temper tantrum.

Cas tried to handle this mess calmly, but they were not in a state of calmness at all... especially Nezira who was flaring her powers about. As Cas asked for her to back him up, Tess walked up to Nezira and gave a backhand hard enough to knock her down. "Listen here you selfish schutta!" she shouted at her. "You're the one who teleported into my place and then when we try to help you after you put yourself in danger, you get pissed and threaten us?!" she scolded her, shouting at her as if she was working with a child.

"Now cut the Nightsister Huttwash and get yourself together!" she finished, stepping away from her. With a deep breath she ran her hands through her hair and over her face. "It's karking late and I'm not in the mood for nonsense tonight. You're welcome to spend the night at the apartment if you want. I'm going back to the apartment." she spoke with a much calmer tone, looking back to Nezira. She glanced at Cas, expressing her annoyance over the whole situation through her look before starting to walk back to the apartment. She was angry at the Nightsister's whole demeanor, especially given that she clearly felt something to Cas. that was likely what ticked her off the most...

Nezira shook her head, at Cas's attempt to talk things over, but that wasn't what Nezira wanted. No, she wanted to run as far away as she could, which was a bit ironic, given than she could leave the planet at any moment. However, she was too much a mess right now, to think clearly, although, she did begin to snuff out her magick. Or well, that was until Tess thought it was a good idea to backhand an emotional and heartbroken Nightsister with way too much power for her own good in her current state.

Getting backhanded into the hard city ground, the girl felt her hands scrape against the duracrete, scratching part of her hands. While the skin abrasion was more or less superficial, it still hurt, not to mention her side of the face. However, nothing hurt more than repeating Tess' own words in her mind. Nezira looked in the direction Tess went first with hurtful near-tearful eyes, repeating the woman's ord words in her mind again. "Friends help you out. Good friends that you can trust". "true friends".

Tess was correct, true friends...those are rare. Despite how the Nightsister might have shown it when Tess took Nezira off-planet, the Nightsister did ended up appreciate the woman's attempt to be friends. Her deep heartbroken sorrow manifested into that of rage, betrayal as she felt the white-haired woman had told Nezira nothing by lies.

The dark side Ichor in the Nightsister skyrocketed and the aura hit Cas like a truck. While the Ichor before had only changed Nezira's iris, this time it straight up shattered them, devouring her eyes whole. The loose patches of hair on the Nightsister started to act unnaturally as if she was underwater. Toxic green coloured smoke danced at the outer corners of Nezira's eyes as she rose from the ground.

Nezira had lost control over herself due to her heartbroken state and in a puff of green smoke, Nezira bamfed away and reappeared in front of Tess. The agent would feel her whole body frozen in place as if an invincible forcefield was placed over her body. Unable to move, The Agent watch as Nezira with a snare launched her hands forward, sending Tess flying back through the air with a powerful shockwave.

Cas raised a concerned eyebrow as Tess approached the Nightsister, wondering why she was getting so close. When the back of Tess' hand collided with Nezira's pale face, the Jedi Knight instinctively clasped a hand to his mouth in complete shock and surprise before yelling out "Jeez, Tess!" in a disapproving manner. He quickly wandered over to Nezira in an attempt to help her up, reprimanding his girlfriend as he did so "There's a way to go about these things, and this is the farthest from!"

Before he could help her up, her eyes flashed a bright green and the wave of the Dark side she sent off actually caused Cas to stagger back slightly as he didn't expect that at all. Before he could retaliate, she bamfed away once more but this time - it was in front of Tess. In an instant, Tess was launched into the air by Nezira. As she flew passed him, Cas flipped his body round in an instant before rushing in Tess' direction and propelling himself up high into the air with the Force.

At break neck speed, the young Jedi Knight quickly grabbed Tess and held her close in his arms before they both descended back to the ground. With the aid of the Force, Cas landed gracefully on the duracrete ground a few metres from where they were before she was hurled into the air. Setting her to her feet, he looked at her disapprovingly "Maybe next time, don't piss off the emotionally distraught Nightsister, okay hon?" he advised, a hint of passive aggression behind it. Turning to face a deathly angry Nezira, he glanced at Tess "Yeah, so, keeping us safe might be a problem. I, uh, left my lightsaber back at the house." the Jedi confessed through gritted teeth, although he was hoping Nezira could still be reasoned with.

As Tess walked, Nezira suddenly reappeared in front of her. Her reflexes kicked in but didn't get as far as lifting a hand before she was frozen in place and sent flying through the air. Closing her eyes, she braced for the heavy impact... only for her to be caught in the air. Opening her eyes, she was pleasantly surprised by Cas' face. He advised her against angering Nezira, but she simply shot him an unamused look. "You're expecting me to just be fine with the fact that she just materialized in my apartment to see you? The same girl I helped to get off her planet?" she spoke with a hushed voice before glancing at Nezira.

Cas mentioned being in trouble with keeping them safe. but Tess simply let out a soft 'tisk' as she studied Nezira. You got the force and a metal hand, don't you?" she stated. "Cover me." she ordered as she calmly started to approach Nezira. A blank and neutral face stared at the Nightsister as Tess slowly closed the distance between them. "I tried to look out for you, Nezira. I tried to be your friend, but you simply threw it in my face and disappeared. And now you reappear in my apartment, looking for Cas. If our roles were reversed, I'm sure you'd be angry as well." she spoke gently as she got closer to her.

"I don't know what you were looking for when you got here, but you're not going to find it. I offered you friendship, and you spat in my face." her tone turned colder as she came to a halt in front of her. "Leave, Nezira. The galaxy isn't for you, not with how you are now. Go back to your sisters. There's nothing for you here." she ordered her with a voice devoid of emotion. She didn't want to chase her off, but after this mess, she doubted that any chance of relations with Nezira were possible. Deep down she was bothered by how the evening was playing out, but she kept that to herself.

Her body was relaxed, ready to react if Nezira came at her again. But she hoped that a fight could be avoided. Facing off half naked against a Nightsister in the streets wasn't exactly her idea of fun...

When Tess was caught by Cas, Nezira looked the two and realized what she had done. Looking down at her own hands, watching the ichor twirl and caress her skin in an almost dancing way, Nezira refocused when she heard Tess speak.

"I-" she started, but halted and took a step back as Tess neared her. With tears slowly slithering down her cheeks, Nezira's fully devoured green smoke-like eyes looked at Tess. Hearing Tess say what she said, really put a spike through her and filled the Nightsister rage yet again, causing the Dark Side of the force to spike again.

"YOU LIED TO ME AND I TRUSTED YOU!" Cried out the girl in Tess's face and clenched her fist as electricity started to crackle with lightning dancing around her hands. However, whatever stopped her from frying Tess was unknown, even to Nezira. Maybe she gave up, or maybe the fact that Tess showed the girl that trusting other people was a waste of heartbreak. No, instead she bamfed instantly away and reappeared in front of Cas, looking straight into the Kiffar's brown eyes, the ichor faded from Nezira's eyes for just a second. "I wish I'd never met you and I never want to see your face, ever again," said Nezira in a quavering voice, before turning her back to Cas. With her eyes completely covered in the ichor again, a sudden deep green portal opened up in front of Nezira as she performed her spell.

Just as the Nightsister was about to go through the portal, she stopped for just a second and wanted to say how she truly felt about the Jedi, but she didn't. The moment Nezira stepped through the portal and disappeared so did her Dark Side aura, followed by the portal closing after her.

The Jedi rubbed the back of his neck nervously, beginning to stammer "Well-- I-- I wasn't expecting you to-- this is going to be a whole conversation later, isn't it?" Cas sighed, asking her rhetorically. This wasn't how he wanted to spend his time off duty. If only Tess knew, he was much more capable with a lightsaber than with his mastery of the Force but, nonetheless it wouldn't stop him from keeping her safe.

Following slightly at a decent enough distance behind Tess, he was just in earshot to hear what was exchanged between the two. Part of him felt guilty for the harshness of what she said to Nezira but the other part of him agreed with her too. Conflicted at the situation overall, he glanced away and squeezed his hands together into fists.

Distracted by his conflicted feelings, Nezira appearing in front of him startled him slightly - causing his shoulders to jerk and his eyes to subtly and temporarily widen. What she said to him stung, he couldn't deny it, the Kiffar's normally jovial face descended into sorrowful frown - he parted his lips, wanting to apologise or say something... anything... but what could he say? Before he even knew it, she was gone, and as far as he knew never to be seen again.

The air was silent after she left, it was a rare moment when Cas was left speechless and this was one of those moments. Letting out a sigh, he rested his hands on his hips and in a moment to kill tension "Well, that's one way to kill a mood." he quipped, chuckling awkwardly, not even able to put his heart into it. Approaching Tess, he stopped beside her and interlaced his metallic fingers with hers "Let's just get outta here." he said softly, a hint of sadness in his tone.

Tess didn't budge as Nezira shouted at her. Not even as electricity started to crackle in her hand. On the outside, she looked like she wasn't fazed by her words at all, but deep down, they hurt. She fully believed that she would be able to get through to Nezira and perhaps find a friend in her... but that wasn't going to happen. Certainly not after tonight. The Nightsister then disappeared again, making Tess blink in surprise before turning to look at her as she got ready to leave. Her lips parted slightly as she wanted to say something, but no words came from her as she watched her leave.

Standing there in the darkness, Tess practically looked like a droid as she stared off into nothing in particular. She didn't move or even react as Cas took hold of her hand for several moments until she finally gave it a gentle squeeze. With her emotionless eyes she glanced at their hands then at him before looking back to where Nezira disappeared. A heavy sigh finally escaped her as she shook her head and turned to walk back to the apartment. "I tried to get through to her, back when I met her... I guess I was just hoping for a bit too much." she admitted softly. "Let's just get back in bed. I'll make us some caf." she stated softly as she wrapped her arm around his side, looking down at the ground ahead of them. She didn't do an excellent job of conveying it, but Cas would be able to feel that she was bothered by the altercation.

Back in the apartment she made them both some caf, but she didn't return to bed just yet. "Go on ahead. I'll be right there." she insisted with a small smile as she sat at the kitchen island. For several minutes she simply sat there and sipped at her caf before she finally got up and got back in bed beside him. She quickly finished off her caf and snuggled in against him, wrapping an arm around him as she slowly dozed off once again.

Cas watched Tess with a desolate look as she admitted to wanting to get through to her, he knew she was genuine as he could feel it resonate from her through the Force. The Jedi bit his lip slightly and gently squeezed her hand back. Once more, he didn't know what to say, if saying anything would even help the situation. Wordlessly, he walked with Tess back home.

In the apartment, Cas gracefully accepted the caf she had made as well as respected Tess' probable need to want to be alone right now. Returning to the bedroom, he simply sipped at his caf as he overlooked the city lights outside of their bedroom window - trying to make sense of tonight. By the time Tess returned, Cas was finished and already sat up in bed, still in deep thought.

Once she had dozed off to sleep, the young Jedi Knight remained awake for the majority of the night. His current insomnia being a result of the crippling guilt he felt, how he'd unintentionally hurt someone deeply and how he'd never be able to make things right - he wished things could have gone better, that they could have all talked it out. It didn't have to end this way, not at all.
