The Mentor
@[member="Naila Rokh"]
"Well, this karking sucks" the Jedi Council Member cracked as he surveyed his surroundings. This mission had gone wrong in a hurry. Himself and his close friend Naila Rokh were surrounded by pirates of all shapes and sizes. His lightsaber was out as he stood back to back with the Knight, the dark blue blade humming in the air as he waited for one of his adversaries to make the first move.
But allow me to give you a bit of backstory.
It had been a while since the last time Josh and Naila had seen one another... Having been sent out on many dangerous missions to clean up after the aftermath of the Jedi/Sith War on Metalorn, Josh was constantly off planet and didn't see much socialization. Couple that with his rather... Awkward reunion with his little brother, Nicholas DragonsFlame, who turned out to be a Sith Knight and had attacked himself and Saoirse Jenulia when the two had gone to Dantooine to destroy the simulation once and for all.
The simulation had been destroyed, but the mental scars remained. The youngest of the DragonsFlame clan lived, as a Sith of all people, and it was driving the Weaponmaster batty. Night after night, Josh would have hauntings of the hood being sliced off to reveal the icy blue eyes of his little brother, that overwhelming guilt of not being able to find him, believing he had been dead all these years, feeling like he had failed him by not being there to stop the Sith from taking him.
Then there was Asha Seren. A woman Josh had gotten to know very well during their many months undercover, resulting in a Force Bond being formed between the two close friends. Josh had become the uncle of hers and Tracyn Ordo's son, Kobe Ordo-Seren, and had become just as close with him as well. Of course, Asha had been murdered by the Sith during a raid on Coruscant, snapping the Force Bond in half and nearly killing DragonsFlame in the process. By some miracle, Josh had managed to survive, and in trying to cope had adopted Kobe as his own son, out of love and to save the souls of the both of them... With Tracyn having abandoned Kobe after Asha's death, it was the only thing Josh could do. But yet, Asha's death also haunted Josh's dreams, and the snapped force bond would sometimes come back to drive Josh to an incomparable depression.
Josh hadn't told Naila. But it was obvious the Jedi Knight was being bothered by something when they had met again. All Josh had told Naila since their last meeting was that he had been incredibly busy, and was currently being considered for promotion to Master. Meanwhile, Rokh had been having trouble getting noticed and promoted as she very well deserved. Pulling a few strings, Josh had gotten Rokh noticed by the Jedi Council, who had promoted her almost immediately upon seeing her years of contribution. Josh may have been solely responsible for Naila's promotion, but the credit, to him, was to her for her contributions. To him, she had deserved every bit of it, and it was LONG overdue...
Before the two could go out for dinner to celebrate, as Josh had planned to treat her with though, Naila had been issued a mission to deal with a gang of pirates that were causing problems on Coruscant. Having experience with the gangs himself, Josh had volunteered to accompany her.
Things had gone off without a hitch. They had cleared out the majority with their chemistry together, but not every plan goes without a hitch. Without realizing it, the two had suddenly become surrounded by reinforcements. With no way out in sight that wasn't blocked by pirates, the two would have to fight their way out.
