The unique blade of The Darksaber is known to cut through anything short of Phrik, Cortosis or Pure Beskar.
- "Bond between legends"
The Darksaber's Kyber crystal has been mutated by it's time within the Netherworld of the Force, Developing the ability to force bond with non-force sensitive beings and even grant it's wielder the ability to summon the blade through a series of unique summoning words granted to the wielder who earns it by rite of battle. The wielder need only speak the phrase, And the blade will travel through the nether to reach them, Appearing in their hand from a cloud of smoke and embers.
- "Kar'ta Beskar" The pure beskar hilt prevents The Darksaber from being destroyed by another lightsaber.
- "Cutting Edge"
The Darksaber's flattened blade makes it near impossible to cut with the flat of the blade, Making it less flexible in battle compared to a standard lightsaber.
- "Words on the wind"
To forget the unique summoning words provided by the ancient kyber crystal is to lose one's ability to summon The Darksaber. This also means that if the wielder is for some reason unable to audibly speak, The Darksaber cannot be summoned.
The legend was thought lost when the Sith Empire purged Mandalore, But a recent discovery by Death Watch has revealed the fate of what many believe to be the true Darksaber of myth and legend. A file from the Archives of Clan Jjota tell of a place in Vizsla legend known as "The Steadhold" somewhere deep within The Nether. The stories tell of a hero named "Lecan Vizsla", A legendary hero who died and found himself within the Nether, Beset on all sides by force spirits much like his fellow mandalorians, All surviving in their own way alone and afraid. It wasn't until Lecan united the mandalorians of the nether that they flourished, Carving out a piece of the nether for themselves and founding The Steadhold.
What many haven't heard is that Lecan united them with a weapon that all Vizslas had come to respect: The Darksaber, Which he had brought with him through some kind of force bond with it's Kyber Crystal, Or so the story goes.
Now Apollyon The Betrayer and her Sith Death Watch search relentlessly for the ritual components needed to safely visit the steadhold and claim it by rite of battle. Her Nite Owl nemesis however is not far from learning the truth and pursuing Apollyon to claim it themselves.
