- Accessibility: Accessibility to the planet is easy, by ship. The most desirable way to land on the moon is through the defunct military base, and by using the dysfunctional landing platforms on the transport facility. Since the moon has no breathable air on the planet, that is the only safe way to land; whilst using spacesuit technology to roam around the planet by foot.
- Description: It looks like a massive grey rock, with an eerie aura surrounding it that trickles down to Dathomir with a similar eerie moonbeam. There are chunks missing from the moon, a byproduct from overmining by the Imperial Galactic Empire between 19BBY - 5ABY.
- Imperial Mining Facility: During the reign of the Galactic Empire, a massive mining facility was constructed on the moon to begin extracting ores and minerals for several different projects across the galaxy.
- Imperial Transport Facility: Alongside the mining facility, another facility was erected in the form of a massive transport facility. It was here that the extracted ore and minerals were loaded onto transport vehicles.
- Imperial Naval Base: A naval base, with a minor shipyard designated for repairing, outfitting, and refueling ships, was created to protect the mining operation. This naval base was considered to work in junction with also protecting the shipyards on the surface of Dathomir.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The moon has been around as long as the discovery of Dathomir eons ago. The first of those to discover the moon quickly noticed the lack of gravity and breathable air, designating the moon as inhabitable, and for countless generations it did just that. They also noticed the moon took on a sickly grey color, that when observed at night from the surface of Dathomir, it presented onlookers with a disturbing, eerie aura surrounding it. From Dathomir itself, the radiant moonbeams exhibit a similar effect.
During the Imperial Era, the Galactic Empire erected a trio of facilities to extract and exploit the ores and minerals that were discovered on and inside the moon. Over mining had taken a visible toll on the moon by the time the Imperials abandoned their operations. Several massive pockets dot the surface of the moon, where chunks had broken off and drifted away from the repeated mining operations; further enhancing the image of the moon that almost mirrored the haunting visuals of Dathomir herself.
Occasionally, pirates, smugglers, and other unsavory characters over the centuries have attempted to utilize the abandoned facilities for various reasons, only to mysteriously vanish or to leave, never to return. What exactly is in those facilities that have caused such disappearances or to flee in such cowardice is unknown, except for the moon and her secrets.
