OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a combat usable unit for the Cult of Dresta, and the force-sensitives ranging from Apprentices to Masters
  • Role: This unit comprises a portion of Lord Dresta's feudal belongings, but does not represent the whole, and is buried namelessly and unacknowledged within a Russian doll of larger entities (Dresta's feudal belongings, the Lords of the Sith, and the broader Sith of the galaxy).
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Links: Lord Dresta
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Cult of Dresta
  • Affiliation: Lord Dresta | Lords of the Sith
  • Classification: Various
  • Description: The Cult of Dresta is a diverse Sith organization that practices a form of Sith Progressivism, as popularized by the Sith Eternalism and its predecessor within the Sith Empire. Free of chattel slavery and speciesism, it attracts a wide variety of people, though only those that stay become members of the Cult and come to know its name, nature, and mysteries in full. A semi-specialized Sith Cult within the Lords of the Sith, the Cult of Dresta has specific purposes. It isn't just Dresta's posse. They wait for the Sith'ari, safeguard and seek out Sith knowledge, train those who come to them, and "take in" children to be raised as the future of the Sith. The Sith won't be dead until the Cult of Dresta is. That's their job. If need be, Dresta and the Cult will abandon everything she's built and go into hiding with their relics, and their holocrons, and their apprentices to uphold her sacred duty.
COMBAT INFORMATION:
  • Unit Size: Moderately Sized Units
  • Unit Availability: Uncommon (some, replaceable, enough to support)
  • Unit Experience: While many are less experiences than others (apprentices, or NFU’s in training), the vast majority range from Trained to Elite[/B].
  • Equipment: Various lightsabers and other, alternative weapons, starships, and cult equipment, Lords of the Sith Weaponry. Etc. It’s more up to the individual NPCs within (some of which will be append) what they have, and what they don’t have.

  • Combat Function: The Cult of Dresta is what is behind the larger operation of Lord Dresta’s feudal fiefdom. They interact well with the larger Lords of the Sith military, can provide support, or may be supported by Dresta’s fledgling fleet.
Strengths:
  • Seasoned
  • Force Sensitive Support - the Cult of Dresta is dedicated to the acquisition, study, and teaching of Sith knowledge, artifacts, combat, history, etc, and the Force-sensitives benefit heavily from this knowledge.[ Provide, in list format, some strengths of this submission. 2 recommended. ]
Weaknesses:
  • Smaller - The Cult of Dresta numbers around 4,000 warriors of various types, primarily ground forces - not including sailors, passengers (including soldiers) on-board feudal starships, starfighter pilots, commanders, droids, or any other component of her fiefdom. They have 1,078 force-sensitives - their specialty - and various students that come and go. They host a cache of servants, and those ranging from acolytes and apprentices to master level combatants, the latter of which is much rarer. The size may increase over time.
  • The Sith Cult with Other Concerns - Combat isn’t the main concern of this unit. While they may be called into combat, the Force-sensitives of the Cult will often busy themselves with a variety of missions outside of areas of combat - teaching, overseeing Foundlings, acquiring artifacts, investigating something unusual, assassinating a target, hunting Jedi, taking in Force-sensitives (AKA kidnapping or purchasing) they’ve found for training, and more - and the Force-sensitives of the Cult of Dresta will not be able to be called upon en masse unless there is a significant recall beforehand and high levels of preparation. Additionally, some of the Force-sensitives listed will not be allowed into combat expected to be of a certain caliber - as the next generation must be safeguarded until it is ready for that kind of combat. The range of other concerns can result in 25% to 80% of the Cult's battle ready force-sensitives being busy with other matters, meaning that the Cult is often vulnerable to surprise attacks, and is rarely ever able to muster the full amount of Force-sensitives. The actual amount of Force-sensitives available for use in any IC environment will be determined by discussions with RP partners, IC circumstances (like if a bunch of em got ganked by a turbolaser from orbit, obviously I'd have less than I did before; same as if I was on a massive hunt to find a specific item or person. That's a taxing order, and that'd mean more would be busy than usual), and more.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Changing its name for every leader that takes it over, the Cult of Dresta prior to Dresta can trace back at least to the Old Republic era. With a history of maintaining a certain size and living in the shadows, Dresta has brought them somewhat out of the shadows - though the nature of the Cult is still a secret that is waiting to be unraveled and discovered - to help foist her up to higher heights within the feudal hierarchy of the Lords of the Sith. They are primarily stationed on-board a number of vessels at the moment, and when they aren’t they inhabit an asteroid field.

I am going to be honest. This submission confuses me a little. Part of this reads like it should be an organization or religion sub under lore. I can also see the unit aspect part of this. If you could let me know what you are thinking it would help figure out the best way to review this submission.
