Name: The Royal Order of the Crownguard Knights: a.k.a the Crownguard
Intent: To flesh out another group loyal to the Zambrano family
Affiliation: The Royal Zambrano Family of Panatha

Availability: Rare

Quality: B - Veteran

Type: Infantry

Strength: The Crownguard, altogether, form a military cohort five hundred soldiers strong. They are typically further divided into smaller companies and squads depending on the needs of the Zambranos. The typical deployment size of the Crownguard was a squad of twelve guardsmen.

Description: With the ascension of the Zambranos to the throne of Panatha, and subsequently the rest of the Pacanth Reach shortly after, came the destruction of the previous regime's power base including those men and women who had served them faithfully up until their unseating. The new King possessed an mismatched an army of Blackblades, displaced Imperials, Graug, and Vanr but lacked a dedicated house guard to protect his family from their many enemies.

At the beginning of his reign, King Kaine sought to induct as many Force Sensitive Epicanthix youths into a new organization set on implanting unshakable loyalty to the Zambrano throne, and thus the Royal Order of the Crownguard Knights was born.

They were trained in the use of vibro-weapons and lightsabers, tutored to channel the Dark Side of the Force to enhance their strength, speed, and reflexes. They would serve as the protectors of Kaine's kin, his many offspring, his ambitious cousins, and the uncle whom he considered a brother. Wherever the Zambranos traveled, the Crownguard would not be far behind.

Basic Crownguard wore steel gray Shadow Armor modeled after that of a Stormtrooper, while those who had proved themselves to be superior wore blood red armor to denote their rank. The highest Crownguard, the Captain-of-the-Guard, wears a suit of brilliant gold that sets him apart from every other.

Is there a typical deployment size for this unit? It's fine to have the total number at five hundred, but there needs to be some indication of how many are usually encountered at once.

Also, if all of the members of this unit are able to use "the Dark Side of the Force to enhance their strength, speed, and reflexes", this will require a development thread of at least 10 posts.

There are over 1000 posts in that rebellion you linked for your dev.

Please link from that rebellion the relevant posts to the development of this unit in your submission.

Thank you.

I see you have them listed as being able to use Force Enhance, however in the dev posts provided I see them doing some ritualistic work as well. I am hesitant to approve this at 500 qty and what I believe to be Knight-level Force capabilities with just the 10 posts provided.

Do you happen to have any other threads where they are used?

I typically use them as background flavor whenever I have a chance, and that mystical stuff was mostly me testing something rather than a dedicated thing that the Crownguard actually do.
