The Council's Deliberation

He stopped at the chamber's entrance as Kiskla spoke. He turned for a moment, and smiled faintly.

"I can sense discouragement from you, Master Grayson" he said calmly. "While I have a.... Rather bad feeling about this situation, and I'd rather not have you in harms way, if you wish to accompany me, it is your right as they had reached out to you first"

"I leave in 15 minutes. If you wish to come with, Master Grayson, get yourself ready and meet me at dock 87" he instructed calmly before turning and leaving.

This entire situation, and the duo's exit especially... Urked him for some reason. Something in his gut told him there was a chance he wouldn't return. He didn't want Kiskla to share that fate if it were to happen, but if it was what she wanted... He wouldn't complain. He liked Kiskla, he would enjoy her company on the trip there. But in his heart, he felt that if someone had to go down because of his decision, it should be him...

This writer points out how unfair it is to bring up a previous incarnation of Phylis. In every sense, this Phylis was not the same as that one in the RP...but since it's been raised, it must be continued.

Phylis found herself getting more and more red in the face. So much had happened since then that she felt like a different person. Which she was.
Regardless, Ashin and Spencer made their overly dramatic and absurd exit.

"I was not sent as an assassin," she said quietly, more focussed than any of them had probably seen her. "I was sent to talk to a wayward Padawan who we suspected of falling. Killing her was not my intention, or the Council's. I was there to assess her danger and neutralise the threat. I deemed that she had not fallen, and I helped train her briefly in how to use the Force to protect herself from the Dark Side. Perhaps I succeeded, perhaps not."

She pulled her robe about herself tighter. "Regardless, they've earned themselves 30 days in confinement for vandalism, unauthorised use of the Force before the Council and departing the grounds without authorisation. So that's a judgement they can't ignore." It was very cold in the room now someone had broken the window!

"Masters, bearing all that's been said in mind, we have a problem. Do we really trust them? From that cavalier attitude to their willingness to manipulate events to their advantage. That might be acceptable in the dens of the Fringe, but we are Jedi! Ashin and Spencer appointed themselves Masters, they are not Jedi Masters. So what is it they want? If they sincerely wanted to submit themselves for judgement or to rejoin they could have chosen a less argumentative way."

"It is my thoughts that if they are loose cannons. If they sincerely want our judgement, they must prove they are not volatile. Thus I suggest a period of house arrest...not on Coruscant or any other major worlds. If they can summon the patience to do that then we have an idea of their sincerity. If they choose to charge off, they can't be trusted to do more important things."

Rianna had been so quiet, as she normally was listening more to words, and trying to sense emotions never to intrude into the minds of those around her. She had listened as Ashin spoke her words spoke of conviction, and belief in what she was doing. All the time Ashin spoke, Rianna watched Spencer Rianna knew what it meant to stand behind a strong partner, Rianna's own husband was the warrior, the defender.

She wanted to hear Spencer's story, her answers. Spencer spoke softer her words to Rianna hinted around emotions, Rianna understood this to. In front of people of ones that one could not be sure of she guarded herself.

Rianna breathed out softly and then the words spoken turned to tones of disbelief, accusation, and mistrust all before Rianna had been able to speak a word.

Anything that could be said now would be senseless, and though Ashin said her record spoke for itself, she wondered did it? She would have liked to have given them a chance, at least the opportunity but that would not happen now. Rianna rose up, unable to say anything that would sound constructive. She nodded to everyone, and began the slow walk back to the Hall of Healers.

Healer - one that heals.

"Was there truly a need for this?", she said as she stood up and approached the window. "But then again, it only serves to illustrate their minds and lack of respect, not only for the Council but the Order entirely, so more has been shown to us here then their words, their actions both past and present speaking far more".

The Jedi Council have a duty of care. Not only for themselves but more importantly to all members of the Order and Republic, whether this sitting of the Council seemed harsh .. well she did not care, they had to establish if the two so called Jedi Masters would be a risk to this duty of care. If they did not then it would the they that would be negligent. There is simply to many variables .. Iella wondered just how long it would be before Ashin would desire power again, the power of leadership over not only large amount of space but more so over peoples. Once one has tasted the lure of leadership, it is not easily removed and Iella knew that one day it would come for Ashin, coupled with the fact that she would become frustrated by this .. since the Jedi do not want for power in this respect.

She referred to the members of the Fringe as family, again something she was not willing to let go of. Iella would have entertained the notion of their returned had they some true sincerity but they got none of it. There is more to being a Jedi .. regardless of rank or power, they for Iella .. have forgotten. The Jedi are not Gods they make mistakes, and are the first to acknowledge it when it happens, after all Jedi are sentient beings with all faults that come with it, which includes being tempted and in some cases, falling to the dark side.

The road back to the light is hard and Iella understood this, but to show them all little respect, little regret was troubling. Of course the Jedi Council did not fully trust them, why would they? It was silly of Ashin to think otherwise and not expect it, after all she too, had done the exact some thing right her in the Chambers. And with her exist, the manner of it in the distructive nature, only showed Iella her lack of respect for an institution she claimed to want back. Things did not go Ashin's way with the meeting and she simply demonstrated a loss of temper.
